"I came back to Cwmderi to see DJ"

At Maes-y-Deri, Kath is  surprised to see Non back in the village,  with Non insisting that she came back to Cwmderi to see DJ.

"You could have phoned"

Kath wonders if she could not have phoned, then Non accuses her of not letting her know about the accident.   Kath becomes quite animated about the matter, reminding Non that she said there was nothing between them;  she had said she was glad she left him.

"I was worried about him, Kath"

Non simply sits down and explains that it does not mean that she has no feelings for him;  she was worried about him as a friend, therefore she came home,

"Cwmderi's hardly your 'home'"

but Kath thinks there is more to it than that.   She advises that DJ is now not quite as bad as had been feared;  "He had an operation and then went home to Penrhewl.    Non wonders why he is there, but Kath will say no more.

The proofs from the photo shoot are available already

Tesni is looking at some of the results of the photo shoot

Tesni seems pleased with them

and appears to be quite happy with her depiction;

"These photos look 'lush'!"

then Lisa comes in and is told that the photos look, “Lush!”   Lisa maintains that they just need a few more photos, and they are now ready for some close-ups of the happy couple;  she advises the photographer to catch Tesni's stunning brown eyes.

"After all, this is supposed to be a wedding"

because after all this is supposed to be a wedding.

Tesni is getting enthusiastic

Tesni picks up her flowers and looks quite enthusiastic.

Dylan looks preoccupied

At Hywel’s house, Dylan rushes downstairs, appearing flustered, and searches around the place for something

"Have you seen my jacket?"

He asks Aled where to find his jacket, and is directed to the kitchen;  Aled has been tidying up the place .   "Don't youch mu stuff without asking!" growls Dylan, and Aled wonders why he is making such a fuss.

He checks that the money is still there

He anxiously takes out the bulging envelope from its pocket, replaces it and prepares to go out, telling Aled that he is going to Penrhewl.

Aled is not permitted to accompany Dylan

Aled said nne was told it was not a good idea to go there, but is advised, "I told you not to go there, in case youi sid something you shouldn't.   I found DJ after the accident, so I should check how he is."

"I'm going to check that DJ is OK"

"I'll go to the shop to get some grapes – everybody likes grapes."

"Everything will be all right"

“Don’t worry – everything will be all right.”

Aled is still anxious

Aled is still anxious and fiddles with his phone.

"DJ is in a relationship with Sioned?"

“DJ is in a relationship with Sioned?” demands Non, incredulously;

"Well, they're spending a lot of time together"

Kath seems not to regard it exactly as a relationship, but they are spending a lot of time together

Non is disturbed by this news

This does not go down well with Non;  "But he lives at Penrhewl – what other explanation is there?"

Kath suggest that he might have his eye on Eileen, as he has a thing for older women, and she advises Non that if she wants to go up there, she should.   Non doubts that he would want to see her.

Then she hears the front door open

Then the front door opens, and as soon as Mark sees Non,

"Out – now!   I don't want you here!"

he exclaims, “Out – now!   I don’t want you here!   You shouldn't have let her in, Mam!”

"Why don't we all have a chat?"

His mother’s protestations that they should all sit down and have a chat does nothing to change his mind.

"I don't want her in the house!"

He again insists that he does not want her in the house, neither does he want to listen to her lies.

but Kath points out that Non is really sorry for what she did;  "She has told me that several times."

"You speak often, do you?" Mark demands, and Kath explains that is what friends do
"I'd better leave"

As Mark’s attitude does not soften, Non thinks it would be wise if she left, and he wholeheartedly agrees.

"I met her in Brecon at Christmas"

Kath reveals that she and Non have been in contact for a while;  "And we've been meeting up – the last time was in Brecon over Christmas."   Mark is speechless.
Jaclyn is on her way home from the Deri

In the Deri, Jaclyn is about to go home when informs her that he has been doing some shifts, while Dani is away;

"Going back to Gerwyn now, are you?"

“Going back to Gerwyn now, are you?” he says, “Lovely!   Enjoy yourself.”

"Ger and I are happy"

She assures him that she and Ger are happy, and that his plan did not work.   Then he asks where her brother is today, as he has not seen him for a while.   She replies that she does not know;  "Unlike you, he doesn't sit around all day, covering for his sister!"

"We could have the house to ourselves tonight"

He remarks that is what good brothers and sisters do, then comments that Cassie and Lisa are out tonight, so they could have the house to themselves, in case her lunch with Gerwyn is not enough for her.

"I'm not interested, Garry"

but she is not won over by this proposition, turns and leaves the pub without another word.

Dylan asks after DJ

Dylan arrives at Penrhewl with the grapes and a bottle of Lucozade;  he asks Sioned about DJ’s condition,

"He's good"

and is informed, “He’s good.”   Then, after they stare at each other for a few seconds,

"Was there anything else?"

she asks, “Was there anything else – for him and me?”

He takes out the envelope

He takes the envelope from his pocket and tosses it down on the table, assuring her that it is all there.

"Yes, I'm sure it's all there"

“Yes, I’m sure that it is,” she replies, smiling broadly, and he hopes that is the end of the matter.

"It's serious, then?"

She wonders why he is hesitating before he goes, and he enquires, “So you two are serious, then?”

Sioned confirms that she and DJ are going to get married, and he queries whether DJ is the right man for her.

"You and I were good together"

“You and I were good together,” he continues,

"Do you really want more of your children running around?"

“Perhaps – but do you really want more of your children running round the village?” she asks, rather pointedly, and his expression suddenly changes.

The animosity at Maes-y-Deri continues

The arguments are continuing in Maes-y-Deri, with Mark complaining that he was on his own at Christmas, but his mother corrects him that he was with Cassie

Non is about to go . . .

Non announces that she is leaving;  she knows that he does not believe her, but says that it is nice to have seen him, looking so well.   She maintains that the two of them need to talk.

. . . and Kath agrees to phone her

Kath will phone her, and Mark is not surprised to hear this;  “Of course you will!"

He snarls at his mother, "I don't believe you!   I hate her, Mam!" but Kath points out that Non saved his life.

"Anyway, she's Bethan, not Non"

How can you just choose to forget everything and forgive her?   And anyway, she’s Bethan, not Non!”   Kath shouts that Non is what she wants to be called – he should respect that, and forgive her.   "You've had grudges with people for a lot less!" Mark rages at her.

"This is about Debbie, isn't it?"

“Oh, here we go again – this is all about Debbie, isn’t it?"   Mark says that his mother accused her of all sorts of things, and all these months, she has been friends with Bethan.   Kath stresses that, "Debbie was responsible for putting her own son into hospital, in a coma.”

"Debbie's the mother of my son!"
Mark comes up with a weak excuse that money was tight and shouts that Debbie is the mother of his son.

"Why else do you think I shopped her?"

"Yes, and I'm still your mother – and mothers look after their children.   Why else do you think I shopped her to the pigs?"

"You destroyed my family!"

"You're the one who destroyed my family," he rages,

Mark has stormed off

and he storms off upstairs.

"Aled's your son"

Sioned spells it out, “Aled is your son – stop denying it, will you?   He told me, and you can't argue with that.” but Dylan is adamant he did not want anyone to find out,

"I told Aled not to say anything"

and in fact told Aled not to reveal it.

"And he was the one who was driving, wasn't he?"

“But he told me – and confessed he was the one who was driving.   It’s true, is it?”   Dylan is of the opinion that it is of no importance, because no-one else is going to find out.

"No-one else needs to find out"

and that no one else needs to find out.

"But he's told me now"

“But he has told me now, and there is no telling who else he will tell."   Dylan will have a word with him, to protect them all from trouble.

Sioned has something 'up her sleeve'

He walks angrily out of the farmhouse, while Sioned looks inscrutable.

A post photo shoot drink . . .

Lisa does not know why Tesni is keeping the flowers on the table in front of them in the Deri, and is told that they will remind her of her first photoshoot.   Lisa is surprised that this was her first time, and says that she is giving Tesni Aled's fee as well, because the client was so pleased.

. . . and Tesni is revelling in the compliments

and Tesni is described as being ‘stunning’.

"I'm glad I stood in for Aled"

Lisa is glad that she stood in for Aled, and her client is very pleased.   They agreed that they enjoyed themselves, although it was rather stressful at the beginning.

"We make a great team"

“We make a great team,” Lisa tells her, which Tesni interprets has a chat up line,

But when Tesni leans forward to kiss Lisa . . .

so she leans forward to kiss Lisa.

. . . she is immediately rebuffed

This apparently was not what was intended, as Lisa strongly objects;  “What do you think you’re doing?” she demands.

"You were flirting with me"

“I thought that after today, you were flirting with me,” Tesni says,

"Why would I be interested in a little girl like you?"

but Lisa sneers that she cannot imagine why on earth she would be interested in a little girl like her . . .

"I have just been friendly and professional.”    Tesni points out that it was not just today, but she has felt like this for a while,

"You were putting out signals"

alleging that Lisa is putting out signals.   Lisa flatly denies this, adding, "You've got a history of misreading signals, haven't you?" and Tesni realises she is referring to Griffiths.

"I can't work with immature little girls!"

"I can't work with immature little girls!   I only employ people who know the boundaries – professionals.   You're not one of those!"
Tesni is left in a tearful state

Tesni is left in a tearful state.

As Dylan walks purposefully along the street . . .

As Dylan passes the café, Garry comes out, with his coffee,

. . . he is accosted by Garry

and asks if he has a minute;

"I'm very busy"

Dylan maintains that he is very busy.   “What’s your game?”

"This DJ business . . ."

Garry wants to know, “Tryingto knock DJ over . . .

Jaclyn watches with interest from the alley

At that moment Jaclyn is coming through the alley and sees them talking,

"And now you're acting odd about Aled"

as Garry goes on, “And now youre acting odd about Aled –

"As I said, I'm busy!"

Dylan simply reiterates that he is busy and will not talk about it;

Garry has him 'rattled'

Garry smiles, conscious that he has touched a nerve;

Jaclyn wants to know what is going on

he is watched by Jaclyn, who is puzzled.

Dylan returns to the house . . .

When Dylan gets back to the house, Aled is using his phone;

. . . and orders Aled to turn off his phone

“Turn it off!” he is abruptly told by Dylan,

"I was only sending a text to Tyler"

and protests that he was only sending a text to Tyler.   “Saying what, exactly?” is the next demand, “How does Sioned know about you and me?”   He begins to get angry

"Sioned won't tell anyone"

“She was winding me up  – saying nasty things about you," Aled replies, but Dylan says he is well able to deal with Sioned without him putting his big foot in it.    "Sioned won’t tell anyone,” Aled confidently predicts, “If she does, the police will come and arrest me.”   Dylan warns him not to touch that phone again and goes to answer the front door.   Meanwhile Aled goes upstairs.

"What were you talking to Garry about?"

Jaclyn comes in, demanding what Dylan was talking to Garry about;  “I saw you!” but he is not keen to talk about it.

"He was asking questions about Aled!"

“He was asking questions, ssuspecting something about me and Aled,” he replies, pointing upstairs, and explains that he does not want all the details to come out;

"The details about Bethan – about you . . ."

“The links between Bethan, the drugs – about me and you . . .   Keep your mouth shut!"

"He hasn't been upsetting you, has he?"

Aled comes back down and Jaclyn asks if he is all right;  “He hasn’t been upsetting you, has he?”   Aled apologises to Dylan, and Jaclyn wonders what this is about.

"I told Sioned he's my father"

“I told Sioned that he is my father,” Aled answers, which she does not think matters, but Dylan violently disagrees,

"I told him not to tell anyone!"

stressing that he instructed Aled not to tell anyone . . .

Aled again says he is sorry, but is told that it would have been a lot easier if he had not said anything;

"Go and make us a cup of tea, Dyl"

Jaclyn orders her brother not to give him a lecture, but to go and make a cup of tea.

“I want you to know that you’re part of the family,” she assures Aled, “You haven’t got just your father, but me as well.”

Aled is grateful

He is grateful for that, and she goes on that things have not been easy, but she is always there for him – always on his side.

Tesni is in an emotional state

Tesni arrives home at number 10 in an emotional state, and shouts for her mother and father, but finds that no-one else is there;

She takes out her phone . . .

she throws her flowers in the bin, takes out her phone and dials a number.

. . . but there is no answer from Aled

“Come on, Aled – answer!” she yells.

Kath is doing some cleaning . . .

Kath is cleaning in the kitchen

. . . when Mark appears with a large suitcase

when Mark comes downstairs with a large suitcase;

"Going somewhere nice – or running away again?"

“Going somewhere nice?” she asks, “Or are you running away again?  Back to Cassie, perhaps?   You won't get much of a welcome."

"I'm not a little boy any more, Mam"

He says that it is none of her business, and that he is not a little boy any more, although she treats him as one.

"But I'm still your mother!"
but she emphasises that she is still his mother.   "The difference is that I can see through your lies now," he tells her, but she maintains that she has always done her best for him, trying to stop him ruining his life.   "So that's what you call it," he growls
"I'm glad Ricky got out when he did!"

“You know what?   I’m glad Ricky stayed away this year, so you couldn't get your claws into him . . . and on top of that, you’re  a snitch!   Dad would be ashamed."

"Debbie and I understood each other"

"Don't bring your father into this," Kath warns him, "Your Dad would support me – we understood each other."  He likens that to his relationship with Debbie, and how they understood each other, before she spoiled things.

"Is that where you're going?"

She realises that is where he is going – to join Debbie in Spain, and predicts that he will regret it;  he walks out of the house
Jaclyn questions Garry

Jaclyn goes to number 9 to interrogate Garry;  he was not expecting her to come over, but is glad that she did;

. . . but he tries his seduction technique . . .

he is about to take the opportunity to try and seduce again,

. . . without success

and this time she swiftly rejects his approaches.

"About your brother . . ."

She is here about Dylan, and Garry wants to know what he is hiding.   She is aware that he wants revenge, "But trust me, this isn't worth your energy."

“You expect me to believe that?” he asks

"Leave Dylan alone – do you hear me?"

but she snarls at him to leave Dylan alone . . . I don't want to see you near him or any of my family ever again!
