In the deli, Eileen is preparing the food for Jinx’s exhibition;

she picks up her phone and leaves a message for Sioned.

| "I know you don't want to talk to me" |
“It’s me here, love. Listen, I know you don’t want to talk to me at the moment, but I was thinking of Penrhewl when I made this decision.

| "Let's talk about this sensibly" |
Dorian will be very good for Penrhewl – I know you’re worried about Howard, but he’ll be OK. Phone me back, so we can talk about this sensibly, please?”

| Jinx is sorting his paintings |
At number 7, Jinx is still sorting through his paintings when there is a knock at the door,

| Eleri is at the door |
accompanied by Eleri’s voice, shouting, “Huw – you were supposed to be in the gallery half an hour ago.”
 |
| "What happened to you?" |
When he opens the door, she continues, “Wow – what happened to you?”
 |
| "I've been up all night, painting" |
He replies that he has been up all night, painting. “You were supposed to be . . .” and he is well aware of that he is supposed to be at the gallery.
She protests that he cannot go dressed like that; “Have a shower and wear something tidy.”
 |
| "What about that salmon pink shirt?" |
“What about that salmon pink shirt?” he suggests and she regards that as lovely, still insisting that he should hurry up, as he has pictures to sell.
 |
| She does like that picture |
Then she looks at the picture of herself

| She adopts the same pose |
which she rather admires.
 |
| Dani goes to pick up the post |
Dani is in the kitchen at Maes-y-Deri when the post arrives;

| One of the items . . . |
she finds that amongst the items

| . . . from the NHS . . . |
is an envelope from NHS Blood and Transplant, marked ‘private and confidential’
 |
| . . . is perplexing |
and she looks confused.
 |
| Jinx has had his shower |
Jinx comes back downstairs
 |
| "Do you intend to take that one?" |
and is asked, “Do you intend to take that one?”
 |
| "Of course – that's the best one" |
He replies out of course he does, as it is the best out of the entire collection.
 |
| Now someone else is at the door |
There is another knock at the door; this time it is Eileen,
 |
| Eilen has a question about melon |
who begins, “I just wanted to know if you wanted melons . . .” and then she notices the picture which Eleri has been admiring
 |
| "I didn't know you were exhibiting pornography!" |
and continues, “Oh – I didn’t know you were exhibiting pornography tonight.
 |
| "It's hardly pornograohy, Eileen" |
Jinx sighs that it is hardly pornography, but she advises him to put it far away from the door,
 |
| "It will put people off my canapés" |
“Otherwise, you’ll put some people off my canapés.” She turns and walks out of the house without further word, having forgotten about the melon.
 |
| Eleri laughs |
Eleri is very amused, but insists that Jinx needs to go now;
 |
| "I'll sort out Eileen" |
she promises to sort out Eileen before coming to the gallery and will see him there.
 |
| It is raining in Cardiff |
The stay at the hotel in Cardiff is over; Kath and Diane are standing outside in the rain, waiting for their taxi (which is strange, considering that Cardiff Central station is only 200m away).

| "How did you leave things last night?" |
“You’ve been on that phone all morning – has Brynmor been in touch yet? How did you leave things last night?” asks Diane.
 |
| "Just like things were before" |
“Well, just like things were before, you know.”
 |
| "Do you want to see him again?" |
The next question is whether she wants to see him again,
 |
| "Oh, look – here's our taxi" |
but their taxi arrives in the nick of time to avoid an answer.
 |
| Gwern is really enjoying that |
In the deli, Gwern is tucking into his breakfast bap when Eleri walks in.
 |
| "I thought I'd seen enough of you" |
Eileen remarks, “I thought I’d seen enough of you for one morning.”
 |
| "Have you ever visited the Louvre?" |
“Tell me, Eileen, have you ever visited the Louvre – the Guggenheim? You wouldn’t be able to avoid naked bodies there – they’re everywhere.
 |
| "Naked girls, naked men . . ." |
“Naked girls, naked men, breasts and . . .”
 |
| "You've made your point" |
Eileen stops her there, commenting that she has made her point,
 |
| "Perhaps Sioned would be better suited" |
but Eleri goes on, “If you’re uncomfortable, perhaps Sioned would be better suited to the vibe of the night anyway.”
 |
| "Put it out of the way somewhere" |
Eileen answers that Sioned is not available and cannot resist advising, “If you insist on exhibiting that picture of you, put it out of the way, somewhere sensible, that’s all I’m saying.
 |
| "It's just common sense" |
“It’s just common sense.”
 |
| "After shafting Howard!" |
Eleri tells her to come over around five, then adds, “I’m surprised you’re showing your face in the village today as well – considering you’re public enemy number one, after shafting Howard!”

| "That's no-one else business" |
Eileen maintains that it is nobody else’s business what she does at Penrhewl. “Perhaps – but there is such a thing as misleading someone, isn't there?” answers Eleri,

| "That's just common sense' |
“That’s just common sense.”
 |
| Dani comes in . . . |
As she is leaving, Dani comes in, carrying that letter
 |

and puts it on the table in front of Gwern.
 |
| Back home at Bryntirion |
Diane is back at Bryntirion, having collected Dai from Brynawelon; she tells him, “Kath said that we were spoken for – and that was the last we saw of them –

| "I haven't started telling you about Brynmor" |
“and I haven’t started telling you about Brynmor yet!”
 |
| "Nefi wen!" |
“Brynmor? Nefi wen! What was this hotel? The ghosts of Christmas boyfriends past hotel? Who turned up next? Reg or Derek? The most exciting thing that happened at Brynawelon was two verses of ‘Bing, bong, be’!”

| "It's lovely to be home" |
Diane says that they did have fun but that it is lovely to be back home.
 |
| "I don't want to see another bingo card" |
Dai does not want to see another bingo card any time soon.
 |
| "Night in front of the box for me" |
“It will be a night in front of the box for me tonight – feet up and then bed.”
 |
| "Oh – Jinx's exhibition!" |
Then Diane suddenly realises that tonight is the opening night of Jinx’s exhibition.
 |
| "We don't have to go to that, do we?" |
“We don’t have to go to that, do we?” Dai demands, “I thought you only said you would go to shut him up.”
 |
| "It's my duty as councillor" |
She regards it as her duty as a councillor, but Dai is horrified by the thought of standing for hours in some gallery,
 |
| "My legs will be like jelly!" |
predicting that his legs will be like jelly. She concedes that he is right, and, in any case, she has had enough gallivanting for one week.
 |
| "Oh, we'd better go, I suppose" |
Then Dai has second thoughts; he groans, “Oh, we’d better go, I suppose you’re right – there will probably be a chair for me to sit on. And you’ve got muscles from Brussels in those arms to hold me up, haven’t you?
 |
| "We'd better go and get changed" |
“We’d better go and get changed.”
 |
| "I don't know how to start to explain . . ." |
Gwern looks at the envelope and tells Dani, “I don’t know how to start to explain –

| ". . . `I couldn't stop thinking about Scarlet" |
“I couldn’t stop thinking about her – Scarlet. It’s as if a part of Seren is still alive now, inside her. It felt wrong not to answer – I just wanted to know more about her.
 |
| "I didn't mean to go behind your back . . ." |
“I didn’t mean to go behind your back, Dan, but I miss her –
 |
| ". . . but I miss her so much" |
“I miss her so much.”

| "I understand" |
Dani says that she understands,

| They go home to open it together |
“So, why don’t we go home and open it together?”

| "Is this far enough away for her" |
 |
| "Just because she's an old prude!" |
“Just because she's an old prude!” he sneers.

| "We can't find another caterer" |
Eleri points out that it would be easier to find a Fabergé egg than another caterer, so he should just let it go.

| "We all have to make difficult decisions" |
“We all have to make difficult decisions, don’t we? For all our sakes.”

| "This would be the ideal spot" |
Jinx believes that he has found the very spot for Anita’s picture.
 |
| "Are you going to open it?" |
Back home at Maes-y-Deri, Dani and Gwern sit, looking at the envelope; “Are you going to open it?” she demands,

| Gwern takes out the letter . . . |
so he does so, taking out the letter,
 |
| . . . while Dani finds a photo |
but Dani finds there is also a photograph, which she finds very emotional.
 |
| "That's thanks to Seren" |
“Look – she has a beautiful smile – that’s thanks to Seren.
 |
| "Shall we read it?" |
“Shall we read it?
 |
| The exhibition has begun |
People have arrived at the gallery and Eleri has organised that the exhibition is also online,
 |
| "You've thought of everything" |
so it will go on sale at the same time. Jinx comments that she has thought of everything. He realises that this is really happening now and she urges him to slow down with the drink.

| "Have these glasses been cleaned properly?" |
“Have these glasses has been cleaned she properly?” Eleri asks.
 |
| "Unlike some the pictures!" |
Eileen takes the bait, insisting that they are perfectly clean; “Unlike some of the pictures in this place!” she snarls.

| "It's a masterpiece, Jinx" |
Garry has also been perusing the pictures and describes the exhibition as a masterpiece.
 |
| "And that picture of you . . ." |
“He adds, “And that picture of you, Eleri, well, fair play.”
 |
| "There's some high class stuff herr=e" |
She maintains that there is some high class stuff there. “You would say that, wouldn’t you? With a big picture of you slap bang in the middle of the place –

| "What would Kyle say?" |
“what would Kyle say?”
 |
| "That's not a problem any more" |
She reminds him that is not a problem any more;
What does Garry have up his sleeve?
he smirks enigmatically.

| Dai and Diane arrive |
Dai and Diane arrive,

| Eleri begins her speech |
just as Eleri is about to begin her welcome speech. “Why is she doing the talking?” Dai demands,

| "You should be up there" |
“You should be up there as the council leader – she’s taking the mickey!”
 |
| Kath appears more interested in th drinks |
“Welcome to Huw Jenkins’ exhibition – or Jinx, as you will know him. I’m sure everyone would agree that there is a truly special collection here,

| "Different elements of the artist's life" |
“which encompasses the different elements of the artist’s life – and he is an artist – this is only the beginning. He has a very bright future ahead of him.

| Gwern stares at the photo |
Gwern sits at the table, staring at the photograph, which Dani describes as lovely;

| "Shall we answer it tomorrow?" |
he proposes that they should answer the letter tomorrow, as he does not know where he would start tonight. She agrees that it is a lot, reassuring him that he did the right thing and that it all feels right.
 |
| "There's one thing we have to do first" |
“But there’s one thing we have to do first,” she adds.
 |
| Garry is still at the gallery |
Garry is still looking around the exhibition.
 |
| This catches Diane's eye |
One of the pictures has caught Diane’s eye; that of the cinema in Cross Hands.

| "He's caught the spirit of the place" |
Dai agrees, “He’s caught the spirit of the place, hasn’t he? To tell you the truth, Jinx has surprised me this week, with the singing and these paintings.
 |
| "He's not quite as untalented as I thought . . ." |

“mind you, don’t tell him I said that.”

| "The twins at Penrhewl would do a better job!" |
Kath’s opinion is somewhat different; “He calls himself an artist? The twins at Penrhewl would do a better job than that!” Dai decides that he is going back to the car now

| Dani hurries all the way to Ammanford . . . |
and at that moment, Dani rushes in.
 |
| . . . to tell Garry |
Going straight over to Garry, she explains, “Gwern contacted Scarlet’s family – and they’ve written back with a photo.”
 |
| She gives the envelope to him |
She hands the envelope to Garry
 |
| "I hope it will help you" |
in the hope that it will help him, but after a few seconds,
 |
| However, he hands it back . . . |
he hands it back, without a word,
 |
| . . . and D~ani leaves again |
so she simply walks away.
 |
| Kath frequently consults her phone |
Kath is still regularly looking at her phone;
 |
| "We're leaving now" |
Diane informs her that they are leaving now, as Dai is complaining about his legs and also wonders Brynmor has contacted Kath.

| "Come on, Diane!" |
Dai is in a hurry to go.
 |
| Brynmor head for the Deri |
Brynmor walks around the corner by the surgery towards the Deri;

| "Well, look who's back" |
Garry approaches, commenting, “Well, well, look who’s back – it’s been a while – nice to see you.”
 |
| "I'm on the way to see Kath" |
Brynmor says that it is nice to be back and is at present on his way to see Kath, but Garry informs him that she is not there.

| "I'm not sure, you know" |
When Brynmor asks if he knows where she is, he is told, “Well, I’m not sure, you know.”
 |
| "Cancer, is it?" |
Moving closer to him, Brynmor continues, “I heard you were ill – cancer, is it? Very sad –

| "Quite a blow for tough guy like you" |
“I’m sure it’s quite a blow for a tough guy like you.”
 |
| "Ammanford Gallery" |
Garry informs him that Kath is at Jinx’s exhibition in the Ammanford Gallery,

| "I'll see you around, Berwyn!" |
then adds the parting comment, “I’ll see you around, Berwyn!”
 |
| "I would have bought you that picture" |
“I would have bought you that picture for your birthday, as you liked it so much, Diane tells Dai.
 |
| "Snogging on the back row" |
He replies that it is nostalgia – the Cross Hands Hall; “It’s nice to remember the good old days – everyone in the back row eating popcorn and snogging.”
 |
| "Who were you snogging, then?" |
Diane wonders who he was snogging there, but he maintains that does not matter now;
 |
| "The only one I want to snog is you" |
“The only one I want to snog now for the rest of my life is, well, only you.”
“And it’s only your snoring I want to hear for the rest of my life – I’ll never complain about it again.

| "Your snoring is like feather falling from heaven" |
“Your snoring is like a feather falling from heaven compared to Kath Jones’ snoring! It’s nice to be home.”

| Now people are leaving |
People are leaving the gallery now and Jinx thanks them for coming;

he tells Eleri, “None of this would have happened if it wasn’t for you. I don’t agree with all your decisions – and I find it difficult to see past one or two,

| "I do appreciate you, OK" |
“but I do appreciate you, OK?”

| "We'll be accused of creating pornography!" |
He gives her a kiss, but she protests, “Watch yourself or we’ll be accused of creating pornography if you’re not careful!”

| Eleri has a surprise |
Eleri is shocked to see her father walking into the gallery;
 |
| "I have to find Kath" |
he says that he will be with her in a minute, but he has to find Kath. Then he sees her and hurries towards her.
 |
| "I just can't let you go" |
“Kath, I might be having a life crisis, but I just can’t let you go without making an effort.”
 |
| "People are looking at us" |
She points out that people are looking at them and wants him to leave it.
 |
| "I can't stay away" |
He says that he does not care; “It’s reignited something in me – I can’t stay away –
 |
| "I love you, Kath!" |
“I love you, Kath.”
 |
| "Not this again!" |
“Not this again,” Eleri complains, “We’re here to sell pictures not to matchmake.”
 |
| She looks at the sales position . . . |
Jinx tells her to check the website to see if any more pictures have been sold,
 |
| . . . and makes an unpleasant discovery |
but her expression suddenly changes, so he asks what is wrong.
 |
| The buyer is Kyle Anderson |
We see that the picture of Eleri is listed as having been sold to a certain Kyle Anderson.
 |
| "Where's Garry?" |
“Where’s Garry?” she demands and is told that he left earlier.
 |
| "What's going on, Eleri?" |
Jinx wants to know what is going on.
“I don’t know – I don’t understand. Garry didn’t do it, did he? That’s why he’s gone.

| "Kyle's still alive!" |
