"Lush!"

Dani has done Kelly’s hair and asks for her verdict;  “Lush!” Kelly replies.

"Jason will not believe his luck"

Anita predicts that Jason will not believe his luck,

"You'll be part of our family – officially"

with Diane adding that they will be lucky to have her as part of their family – officially.

"Don't spoil her mascara"

Dani warns them not to spoil her mascara, as Kelly is becoming quite emotional.

"Are you sure she said a double Windsor?"

Meanwhile, in the shop flat, Mathew is attempting to deal with Jason’s tie;  “Are you sure she said a double Windsor, not a half?”   Jason corrects him that it is a full Windsor.

"Diane will be none the wiser"

Tesni who is nearby, looking for instructions on ties on her phone, considers that it does not matter, and Diane will be none the wiser.

"Mathew knows what he is doing"

Jason begs to differ, and maintains that Mathew knows what he is doing;  then the sounds of footsteps can be heard on the stairs

Then Jinx appears

and Jinx appears, much to Jason’s surprise.

He apologises, explaining that Alaz let him up;

"I thought you were up with the Gogs"

“What are you doing here?   I thought you were up with the Gogs,” demands Jason, and he says that his plans have changed he hopes that he is still invited.

"Sorry I forced you to change your plans"

“Jason, I’m sorry I forced you to change your plans,” he continues, but Jason is glad that he is there, to be honest – and Kelly will be happy, too.

"I hope you don't mind that I'm the new best man"

Mathew feels very awkward;  “I hope you don’t mind that I’m the new best man,” but Jinx is more than happy to stand aside.

"Do you want a whisky, Jinx?"

Tesni asks him if he would like a whisky and he agrees to have a small one.

"The minibus has broken down!"

Mathew’s phone sounds, and he exclaims, “You’re joking?   Brenda’s buses – sorry boys, minibus has broken down near Carmarthen,” he reads, “Do you have a Plan B?”

"You'll have to do better than that, Mathew"

Jason naturally assumes that he is joking, and comments that he will have to do better than that.

But Mathew is not joking

Mathew shows the text to prove that he is not.

Jinx springs to the rescue, deciding to phone Hywel;  “I’m sure we can use the rugby club’s minibus,” and Jason comments that a good best man sorts things out.   They start again with the tie.

Gaynor tries on her wedding hat

Gaynor is trying her blue hat, at a somewhat unconventional angle, when the phone rings and she calls for Hywel.

"Oh, you're joking?"

He answers it, “Oh, you’re joking?   Typical – isn’t it?”   Meanwhile she is pestering him to find out who it is;

"I can text Cai if you want"

“I don’t have the keys, but I can text Cai if you want.   We’ll see you later.”

"Jinx wants to use the rugby club minibus"

He reprimands Gaynor for her anxiety and explains that it was Jinx, who wants to use the rugby club minibus;

Gaynor is eager to get on the booze already

she cannot wait to have a day away from Llwyncelyn and asks, “Do you fancy a ‘Bloody Mary’ for breakfast?” as she looks at a bottle.

"I've got a feeling today's going to be a long day . . ."

“Might as well – I’ve got a feeling that today’s going to be a long day,” he groans,

". . . the minibus, not you, Gaynor"

quickly pointing out that this is because of the minibus, not her.

"Only the bathroom needs to be sorted out"

At Deri Fawr, things appear to be almost ready for the move, and Sioned advises that only the bathroom needs to be sorted out;  “I’ve checked under the beds four times.”   DJ tells her that Dic is excited that he will be seeing them,

"What if he doesn't like me?"

but Sioned is nervous;  “What if he doesn’t like me?”

"Dic already thinks you're an angel"

DJ stresses that she is moving to Ireland with him, and Dic already thinks she is an angel;

"Right, go and get ready"

“Right, go and get ready – because at this rate I won’t have a shower until tomorrow.”

She protests that she does not take that long to get ready, but will go now;

"You'll have to use my towel"

“You’ll have to use my towel – I’ve packed all the others,” she remarks.

"Do I look all right?"

At Y Felin, Siôn is all ready for the occasion, and asks if he looks all right.

"Do I look like someone Amanda would like to hump?"

Cai, lounging in the armchair, imagines that he means, “Do I look like someone Amanda would like to hump?”

Siôn regards him as very uncivilised sometimes, and adds, “Anyway, Mandy and I are only friends.”

"Iolo, are you ready?"

Then he calls for Iolo, just as the text from Hywel arrives on Cai’s phone.

"I need to meet Hywel in the Deri"

“I need to meet Hywel in the Deri – I’ll give you a lift,” he says.

Iolo puts a small box in his pocket

Iolo appears and puts a small box in his pocket.   Cai looks at Iolo’s invitation, which he notices is marked ‘Plus One’.

"What a waste – I could have gone with you"

“What a waste – I could have gone with you.”

"The blue one, to complement your eyes"

Iolo cannot make up his mind about which tie to wear, so Cai recommends the blue one, which will complement his eyes.   Siôn is anxious to leave,

"Can't keep Mandy waiting, can we?"

and Cai comments, “We can’t keep Mandy waiting, can we?”   They leave the house.

Gwyneth looks gloomy

Gwyneth is sitting gloomily at the bar in the Deri and anticipates that people will come there for a drink before the wedding.   Cassie wonders what time Garry will be getting back from Swansea, and is told that they will be out all day.

"Will you change that barrel"

“Will you do me a favour and change that barrel?” Cassie asks, “I’ve got a hundred and one things to do – you can have a free drink.   You’ll need the key to the cellar,” as she picks up a bunch of keys from next to the till.

"Are they the keys to Fort Knox?"

“What are they – the keys to Fort Knox?” laughs Gwyneth,

Cassie has copies of all Garry's keys

and Cassie reveals that she had to make a copy of all Garry’s keys, just in case, as she does not know if he will disappear again, something which he seems to have a habit of doing.

Gaynor and Hywel arrive

The first of the wedding guests arrive, in the form of Gaynor and Hywel;

"Sorry, no tomato juice"

it is regretted that Cassie does not have any tomato juice for a Bloody Mary, so Gaynor will have a glass of Sauvignon, and Hywel a lager.   Cai comes in with the minibus keys and hands them to Hywel.

"I'm not driving – you can do it"

“I’m not driving – I’ve had a Bloody Mary!” he protests, “I thought you could – you don’t have any other plans, do you?   Thank you, boy – great will be your reward!”

Cai is definitely not happy

Cai does not look pleased about this.

"Come to borrow my braces, have you?"

At number 7, Tyler was not expecting to see Iolo this morning, and suspects that he has come over to borrow Tyler’s braces.

"Do you have a clean suit?"

“No – do you have a clean suit?” Iol asks, “Go and put it on.”

Cufflinks with sentimental value

He takes the box from his pocket and hands it to Tyler – it contains square cufflinks, which have some sentimental value, apparently,

Tyler thinks things are looking up

and Tyler refers to ‘the best day of his life’.

"A toast, before we go"

Amanda gives a drink to Diane and Anita and they drink a toast.

The beautiful Kelly appears

Then Kelly appears in her wedding finery, after which Dai bursts in through the front door,

"Crikey Moses, ladies!"

shouting, “Crikey Moses, ladies!   Come on – shift – the meter’s  running – we’re paying for this taxi by the hour!”

Diane orders him to calm down and now they want to give something to Kelly, contained in a box.

"What is it?"

She wonders what it is, and is told it is a gift from the three of them.   “We want you to know you mean the world to us,” says Anita, and Kelly, almost in tears,

A veil and jewelled headband

takes off the lid to find the veil and a jewelled headband, which she had seen in the shop.

They help her put it on

“You didn’t have to,” Kelly protests, but they help her put it on.   Anita puts what she describes as the ‘tiara’ on it,

"It's beautiful!"

nd Kelly is by now crying;  “It’s beautiful!” she sobs.

"Is there any hope of you coming today?"

Then the emotional moment is shattered by Dai again demanding, “Is there any hope of you coming today?”

Kelly is left alone with her mother

Anita and Diane leave the house, with Kelly and her mother remaining there.

"Do you want a small sherry?"

“Do you want a small sherry to calm your nerves?” Amanda asks, “It doesn’t taste nice, if I’m honest, but it gives you a warm feeling when it goes down.”

"I don't deserve this"

Kelly is looking increasingly tearful, and tries to compose herself;  “I don’t deserve this,” she says, but her mother points out that every bride deserves a bit of bling on her wedding day.

"No – not the veil"

“Not the veil,” Kelly sobs, and Amanda realises that there is something wrong.

"I can't marry Jason!"

“I can’t marry Jason,” says Kelly.

"Is everyone ready?"

Cai is not very happy when he comes back into the Deri, asking if everyone is ready.

"Has the 'best man ever' remembered the rings?"

Mathew asks Jinx, “Well, has ‘the best man ever’ remembered the rings?”

"I left them in the rental suit!"

Jinx realises, as with most weddings, that he does not have them, as they are in the rental suit,

Mathew should have collected them

and Jason emphasises that now Mathew is the best man;  he was supposed to get them from Jinx,

"I'll follow you to the Gyyndwr"

who decides he will go and get the rings and will follow them to the Glyndwr.

As the multitude is about to leave the pub, Hywel remarks that Siôn is ‘dressed to impress’

"You're not the only Casanova in the Cwm, good boy!"

and Siôn counters with, “You’re not the only Casanova in the Cwm, good boy!”

Gwyneth is still by the bar, looking furtive, and when she thinks the coast is clear,

Gwyneth heads for the bunch of keys . . .

heads for the till and the nearby keys.

. . . but Cassie is watching

Cassie wonders what she is doing there,

"I'm just getting the darts . . ."

and Gwyneth quickly manufactures the excuse that she is getting the darts.

". . . for some practice while I wait"

“I might as well get some practice while I wait for Garry and Gwern,” she says, but Cassie appears suspicious.

Sioned and DJ are ready to leave

DJ apologises for delaying Sioned, but is now ready to leave;  she hands him the car keys

"You look incredible, Sioned"

and he remarks, “You look incredible, by the way,” and she agrees that so does he.

They kiss

They kiss,

"This time tomorrow, we'll be on our way"

and he continues that this time tomorrow they will be on their way;  “I can’t wait,” she says,

"Love you, too"

and they confess their love for each other.

"Right it's time we left"

After another kiss, he thinks that it is time they left.

"It doesn't matter if we're a bit late"

“It doesn’t matter if we’re a bit late,” Sioned comments.

After they have just got their posh clothes on

“Are you sure?” he checks, and she assures him that she is, so the two of them eagerly head upstairs.

"My feelings have never faded"

Kelly confesses, “My feelings have never faded – I guess when he wasn’t here, I could just ignore them –

"I feel something I shouldn't be feeling"

“but since he’s come back, he’s everywhere and I know that I feel something that I shouldn’t be feeling.”

"You're not the first to have secret inappropriate feelings, Kel"

Her mother points out that she would not be the first nor the last to have secret inappropriate feelings for someone else;  “We’ve all been there, Kel.”

"That doesn't make it right"

Kelly argues that it does not make it right.   “Do you think life is perfect?” Amanda demands,

"Do you think people never make mistakes?"

“Do you think people never do stupid things sometimes?   Make mistakes?”

"I feel like a fraud, wearing this veil"

Kelly confirms that she knows this, “But I feel like a fraud, wearing this veil – it isn’t right – it’s wrong, Mam!”

"If Jason called it off, how would you feel?"

Amanda lectures her daughter, “If Jason turned around now and told you the wedding was off – how would you feel?”

Kelly replies that he means everything to her – he makes her happy and makes her feel safe, so her mother demands what else she wants.

"It's not that simple – Jason deserves better!"

“It’s not that simple – Jason deserves better!” Kelly insists, but her mother is confident that he will not get anyone better than Kelly, who then asks, “What about Jinx?”

“It’s as simple as you want to make it, Kel.   Right, the car will be here now – come on, OK?   Right, I’ll go and get my handbag.”

What is Kelly going to do next?

As soon as her mother goes upstairs, Kelly has a determined look in her eyes.

Everything is prepared at the Glyndwr

At the Glyndwr, the celebrants are preparing;

"Is it just me wanting to say, 'Don't do it'?"

Siôn wonders if he is the only person wanting to say, “Don’t do it.”   Both Hywel and Cai are in agreement with this, so Siôn advises Hywel not to let Gaynor hear him say that.

"We've been divorced for years"

“We’ve been divorced for years,” Hywel reminds him,

"Well, it's only a signature on a piece of paper"

and Siôn regards it as only a signature on a piece of paper at the end of the day, which does not say anything about the love between two people.

"Everything falls apart once you put a ring on that finger!"

Hywel cynically maintains, “Everything falls apart once you put a ring on that finger!”

"What's he doing here?"

Diane comes across to demand what Cai is doing there, so he points out that he is driving the minibus.   “Well, everyone is here now, thanks, so you can go,” she instructs him.

"Has anyone seen Ieuan?"

Anita is wondering where Ieuan is, as his meeting should have finished at eleven, so Siôn suggests Cai could sit in his seat until he arrives.

"He's not standing next to me, dressed like that!"

“What?   No, he can go and stand by the bar somewhere – he’s not standing next to me, dressed like that!” she snarls.

"Who knotted that tie, Jason?"

Jason asks Mathew to phone Jinx and find out where he is, then his mother notices his tie, and demands who knotted it.   She insists on doing it properly,

"Some men never grow up, even on their wedding day!"

and Mathew takes a photo on his phone, commenting, “Some men never grow up, even on their wedding day.”

Diane is adamant that the pictures are going to be on the wall for years to come;

"I don't want this tie getting on my nerves!"

I don’t want to be watching telly, and this tie getting on my nerves!”

Anita sits down by Gaynor and they compliment each other on their appearance;

"I'm a bag of nerves"

Anita says that she is a bag of nerves, and thinks that she should have worn a different dress.

"The waiting is the worst part"

Gaynor appreciates that the worst part is the waiting, and that she will be all right afterwards.

"I just hope Kelly will be all right"

“I just hope Kelly will be all right,” Anita adds, and Gaynor is sure that she will.   “As long as he doesn’t expect her to help him get dressed everyday,” Anita continues,

"Diane will be happy to do that herself"

but Gaynor is sure that Diane will be happy to do that herself, and predicts that everything will go like clockwork.

Jinx searches in the pockets . . .

At Cysgod y Glyn, Jinx is going through all the pockets of the suit

. . . and locates the rings

and at last finds what he was looking for.   He hurries to the Glyndwr.

Amanda comes downstairs . . .

Amanda comes downstairs with her handbag

. . . and finds the veil . . .

and is dismayed to see the veil left on the sofa,

. . . but no sign of Kelly

but no sign of Kelly.

I hope he has his key this time

Meanwhile, Jinx comes out of the door of Cysgod y Glyn,

Yes, he has the rings

and checks to make sure he has the requisite items,

Then he has a great surprise . . .

then becomes aware of someone standing in front of him –

. . . a very woebegone Kelly

Kelly, looking very upset.
