Jason has been shopping

Jason is unloading a shopping bag in the cafe flat;  Kelly comes upstairs and is surprised to see how much he has bought.  

He is intent on spoiling Ifan

“Sara will have spoiled Ifan rotten, so it’s only fair that we should do the same,” he says.   

"He's going to get the biggest cwtch ever!"

Kelly predicts, “Ifan’s going to get the biggest cwtch ever!” and Jason alleges that it is only fair that the child should spend an entire week with him now, to even things up.   ‘I don’t think Sara is going to agree to that,” is Kelly’s considered opinion.

"I know that Dylan's dodgy"

“Well, I’ll have to go for full custody, then,” he tells her, “I know that Dylan’s dodgy – we know he’s had an affair – DJ told us as much.”   Kelly regards it as a pity that DJ is now out of action, 

Kelly opens a letter

then opens a letter which has just been delivered.

"This is a total disaster!"

“This is a total disaster!” she squeals, 

The café has been demoted in the hygiene stakes

“The hygiene rating for the café is only three!”

"Get back to work – you're a builder now!"

In the shop flat, Mathew tells Eifion that he does not have time for another cup of tea;  “You must get back to work – you’re a builder now, not a farmer!”   

"But we're family, Mathew"

Eifion protests that they are family, but is told that there are no favours between 8:30am and 7:00pm.   

"New working hours, starting tomorrow"

“New working hours starting tomorrow.”

This does not go down well with Eifion;  “You’ve only just started running the show and you’re cracking the whip already,” he moans.   Mathew is keen to make an impression on customers by working extra hard, pointing out that is how they are going to be successful.   

Eifion is not happy about this

It is obvious that Eifion does not like the sound of this.

"Dad, can you pick Greta up for me?"

At Y Felin, Iolo is asking his father if he can pick up Greta today;  

Siôn is otherwise engaged . . .

Siôn replies that he is busy, and in any case is not on child-minding duties today.   

. . . and Anita has been summoned to the café 

Iolo then turns to Anita and asks the same question, but she cannot help him, as Kelly has summoned her and Luned;  “She wants to see us this very second,” she explains, 

"It sounded serious"

“She wouldn’t say on the phone, but it sounded serious.”   She leaves for the café.

Jason wanted to speak to Dylan

Jason has gone to Hywel’s house, but discovers that Dylan is not there;  “What do you mean, he's not here?   I’ve taken the afternoon off to speak to him.”

Sara is just back from her visit

“You can pick up Ifan later and he can stay with you a few nights,” Sara concedes;  Jason is adamant that Ifan should stay with him for the rest of the week.   “I’m only back two seconds, and you’re being awkward already!” Sara complains, but Jason is unmoved, 

"I should have him the rest of the week"

quite determined that he should have his son for the rest of the week.   She reluctantly agrees and he leaves the house.

Kelly is pacing furiously

Up in the café flat, Kelly is pacing up and down, waiting for the arrival of Anita;  

"The hygiene score has gone down to three!"

when she comes upstairs, Kelly exclaims, “The café’s hygiene score has gone down from five to three!   To three!”   Luned wonders if anyone takes any notice of it, anyway.

"People will think I'm running a 'greasy pan'!"

“Yes – the customers!” Kelly bellows, “I don’t want people to think I’m running a ‘greasy pan’!”   

Anita reads the letter

She points out the letter to Anita, who reads it.   “It says member of staff was not handling chicken safely – 

"And the rules are up on the wall!"

“and the rules are up on the wall!   Come on – who’s blind?   It was last Wednesday.”

"You know how careful I am, Kelly"

“It wasn’t me – you know how careful I am especially with inspectors around,” replies Anita.   

"It must have been me – I was stressed"

Luned admits that it must have been her, and is very sorry, explaining that she was stressed.

"I don't care how stressed you were!"

“Stressed?   I don’t care how stressed you were – rules are rules!” yells Kelly, 

"There are so many rules"

but Anita argues that there are so many rules, it is easy to make a mistake.   “It’s in order to stop people getting salmonella,” snarls Kelly, 

"Are you a complete idiot – or what?"

“Are you a complete idiot – or what?   

"Three!   Three!"

“Three!   Three!”

Sara has received a letter

Sara has also received a letter, and when Dylan comes downstairs he is pleased that Ifan is going to be looked after by his father.   

"It's from Jason's solicitor!"

Then she opens the letter, and explodes, “It’s from Jason’s solicitor – saying that he wants full custody of Ifan!”

"Does that surprise you?"

Dylan asks if that surprises her, and she goes on, “If I refuse, we’ll have to have a session with a mediator – what’s wrong with him?   We could sort this out – me and him.   It doesn’t have to go through court!”

"Why can't you pick her up?"

In the Deri, Tyler tells Iolo that he cannot pick up Greta;  “Why can’t you pick her up?” he demands, 

"I've got an emergency job"

but Iolo has an emergency job.   “Well, get her to stay at nursery for longer,” is Tyler’s answer.

"Right – enjoy your afternoon off, then!"

Iolo sarcastically hopes that Tyler enjoys his afternoon off, and marches out of the pub.   

Aled and Tesni are having a drink

Meanwhile, Aled and Tesni are sitting, drinking;  

"I don't mind if you fetch Greta"

Aled will quite understand if Tyler has to fetch Greta, and wonders what is wrong with Tyler.

"I'm still gutted about Lisa"

Tesni’s bad mood continues;  “I’m still gutted about Lisa,” she groans, and Aled dismisses this as merely her first rejection, emphasising that they cannot have everything they want in life.   

"Another bottle?"

“Sorry for being such a misery guts,” she says, “Another bottle?”

"Do you think it's OK to tell Tyler?"

“Before you go to the bar, I want to ask you something,” says Aled, “Do you think it’s OK to tell Tyler about the hit and run?”   

"No way, Aled!"

She does not think it is good idea, 

"We promised to keep no secrets"

but he protests, “We promised not to keep secrets from each other.”

"Everyone in a relationship keeps secrets"

Tesni argues that everyone in a relationship keeps secrets from each other;  “Do you really want to take the risk?” she demands.

Kelly cannot believe what has happened . . .

As Kelly looks at the old and new certificates, 

. . . but it is too late to make any difference

Anita and Luned are working extremely hard to clean the café, but Kelly advises that it is too late;  “I don’t have any right to appeal.”   

"You could put the old sign up"

Anita proposes putting the old sign back up;  Kelly is quite clear that she cannot do that.   Anita thinks this is a lot of fuss about nothing;  “No-one cares about hygiene when they’re starving,” she maintains.   

"Chicken sandwich, please"

Then Rhys comes in, evidently having being aware of the problem, and jokingly orders a chicken sandwich.   

Anita and Luned look worried

Anita and Luned look worried as they anticipate what is coming next.

"Have you been blabbing?"

“Have you being blabbing?” rages Kelly, 

"Sorry – it's a bit soon to make jokes about it"

and Rhys wonders if it is too soon to make jokes about the situation.   

Kelly screams, “So my business is a joke to you two, is it?   

"Something else that's really funny – your'e sacked!"

“Do you want to hear something else that’s really funny?   You’re sacked!”

Sara has come to harangue Jason

As Jason is loading up the APD van, he is approached by Sara;  “Don’t mess around – you know exactly why I’m here!” she growls at him, 

"Why didn't you tell me?"

“Why didn’t you tell me you intended to do this?   You could have talked to me first.”

"I had to make it official, Sara"

He says that he had to make it official, 

"You know what's best – not a solicitor"

but she whines, “You know what’s best for Ifan, not a solicitor.   

Eifion is keeping careful note of this

Eifion is eavesdropping on this conversation, as she whines, “Why can’t we stick to our arrangement?”

"I don't trust you and Dylan to raise my son"

“I don’t trust you and Dylan to raise my son,” Jason replies, and no amount of wailing and pleading on her part will change his mind, so she storms off in a rage.

"I couldn't help overhearing that"

Eifion comes out of APD;  “I couldn’t help overhearing that,” he says, 

"I agree that Dylan's dodgy"

“If you want my opinion, I agree that Dylan’s dodgy.   I wouldn’t want him raising my child – I regret not fighting harder for Bobi and Arthur.   

"Do everything you can to get Ifan"

“Do everything you can to get Ifan.”

"Jason's head is all over the place"

Inside APD’s shop, Mathew wants to know where Jason is;  “Sara's back from her holiday and his head is all over the place,” is Eifion’s opinion.   Mathew does not want his staff bringing personal problems to work, 

"He does own a third of the business"

but is reminded that Jason owns a third of the business.

"But I'm the major shareholder"

“I’m the main shareholder – Jason should bear that in mind,” states Mathew.

"You're not going to sack her for one small mistake?"

Anita asks Kelly if she is going to sack Luned for one small mistake;  

"Small mistake?"

Kelly, however, does not regard it as a small mistake.   Anita insists that she is only young, 

"We've all been there, Kelly"

commenting, “We’ve all been there – and she doesn’t comprehend the seriousness of things.”

"You're not her biggest fan"

“She’s supposed to be brainy – A-levels – anyway, you’re not her biggest fan!” is Kelly’s reply, and Anita explains that she was just jealous of the relationship between them.

"She's a good little worker"

“She’s a good little worker,” Anita adds, “Everyone deserves a second chance.”

“You do know how to prick my conscience, don’t you?” says Kelly, and Anita reminds her that they have already cleaned the oven.

"If we all pull our weight . . ."

“If we all pull our weight, that score will be back up to five in a second,” she rather extravagantly predicts, and hurries back downstairs to the café, to continue with the cleaning.   

Kelly smiles

Kelly smiles.

"What's Aled like to live with?"

Tyler asks Tesni what Aled is like to live with, and she is noncommittal, pointing out that he can be really annoying;  

"There's toothpaste everywhere"

“There was no toothpaste everywhere before you moved in.”   

"All right – I'll wipe the washbasin"

Aled agrees that he will wipe the wash-basin, enquiring if there is anything else he does to annoy her.

Tesni had better go now, and will tell her mother that Aled will not be back for dinner;  “Enjoy yourselves tonight,” she says, 

"Remember what I said, Aled"

and then advises Aled, “Remember what I said.”

"What was that about?"

Aled does not want to reveal what she meant by that, and Tyler asks, “Does Dylan pop in to see you?” 

"He's not very friendly with Jaclyn at the moment"

but Aled does not think that he is very friendly with Jaclyn at the moment.   

He stresses that his relationship with his father has improved, regarding him as ‘amazing’;  

Aled is anxious to change the subject . . .

“He’s given me a job.   Shall we go upstairs and have our dinner?” he asks Tyler, 

. . . which makes Tyler suspicious

who is looking somewhat suspicious, as if there is something wrong.

An intruder enters Hywel's house . . .

Creeping in through the back door of Hywel’s house, which has evidently been left unlocked again, comes Jason, and he wipes the doorhandle clean of any fingerprints.   

. . . sneaks around . . .

He sneaks around, using his torch, to see what he can find.   

. . . opens drawers . . .

He looks in a couple of drawers, and in the top one he finds something interesting;  

. . . until he finds some files . . .

he picks up a couple of files and something small, then hears someone coming through the front door, 

. . . but has to escape

so makes a hasty exit.   Unfortunately, in his haste, his hat has fallen off.

Dylan finds he has had a visitor

Dylan has returned home and notices that the drawer is open;  he picks up Jason’s hat from the floor and, 

There is no sign of anyone outside

after looking outside, closes the back door, left open as Jason escaped.

"Sorry I opened my big mouth"

In the Deri, Rhys apologises for opening his big mouth, but Luned replies that being sacked from the café is not the end of the world.   

"It's only a temporary job"

“It’s only a temporary job, after all,” she says, and then her phone sounds.

“Here we go – it’s Kelly!” and she reads out the text message;  

Kelly wants to see Luned

“I’ve changed my mind – come and see me when you get the chance, please.   You can thank Auntie Anita – and there’s a smiley face.”   

"Will you go back?"

However she does not know whether to accept her reinstatement or not.

Kelly is shocked to see Dylan in the flat

Kelly receives quite a shock when she comes in from the bedroom, wearing her dressing gown, and finds Dylan waiting for her.   

"I've brought Jason's hat back"

“I’ve brought Jason’s hat back,” he announces, “Are you going to ask where I found it?   In my house!   

"Be a good girl – tell him to come home"

“Be a good girl – phone him and tell him to come home – we’ve got a lot to talk about.”   

Kelly's scornful look

He receives a withering glare from Kelly.

"I do make you happy, don't I?"

Aled is feeling insecure and asks Tyler, “I do make you happy, don’t I?   Because you make me happy, 

"I want to make you happy, too"

“I want to make sure I make you happy, too.”

Tyler replies that of course he does, and wants to know why he is thinking about that now;  

"How much wine have you had?"

“How much wine have you had?”

"Can I really trust you?"

“Can I trust you – I mean really trust you?” Aled demands

Jason finds Dylan waiting for him

Jason has been summoned to come home and finds Dylan waiting for him there;  

"Your hat – and you've got something of mine"

“Your hat!” Dylan tells him, “And you’ve got something that belongs to me.”   

Jason has been 'rumbled'

Jason unzips his jacket 

He hands over the spoils

and extricates the files hidden inside;  “Come on – I haven’t got all night!” Dylan urges him.   

Kelly is despairing

From another pocket comes something small, a wallet or phone, perhaps.

"No wonder Sara left you – you're pathetic!"

“No wonder Sara left you – you’re pathetic!” Dylan sneers at him.

"Everyone knows you're dodgy, Dylan"

Jason replies, “Everyone knows that you’re dodgy, Dylan!   One way or another I’m going to prove that.”   

"Do it again, and I'll go to the police"

Dylan wishes him good luck, warning that if he finds Jason has broken into his home again, he will go to the police.

Predictably, Jason is not happy about this, as Dylan picks up his belongings and leaves the flat.

"Nice one, Jase!"

“Sara’s lawyer is going to love this,” Kelly groans, “Using that against you – nice one, Jase!”

"I want to tell you, but . . ."

As they sit in the Deri flat, Aled is torn, not knowing what to do;  “It’s silly – I want to tell you, but . . . I don’t know how to start.”   After a long pause, 

"We promised not to keep secrets"

he resumes, “You know how useless I am at talking about stuff . . . but . . . we promised not to keep any secrets from each other.”   

"You can trust me, Al"

Tyler assures him that he can be trusted.

"I've done something terrible"

“You know I said Dylan’s been amazing?   I’ve done something terrible – 

"I'm responsible for the hit and run"

“I’m the one responsible for the hit and run on DJ!   Dylan and Jaclyn have been helping me to cover it up.   It was an accident, I promise!”

"How could you just drive off?'

Tyler wonders how he could just drive off, and is told, “I panicked – I thought I’d killed him.”

Tyler points out that he could well have done;  “I haven't made a mistake telling you,  have I?” Aled frets, “Tyler, say something!”

"I think you'd better leave . . ."

“I think you’d better leave –   

". . . now!"

“now!” Tyler replies, and Aled does so.
