In the morning, Tyler looks rather the worse for wear, and Dani remarks that he must have had a big night; “At least someone is having fun,” she groans, “After the way Garry spoke to me, we are certainly not!”

| "Where's the toilet?" |
A bearded stranger, with whom Tyler has apparently spent the night, walks in, asking where the toilet is, and is told that it is the second door on the left.
 |
| "Don't use up all the coffee, mind!" |
Dani warns Tyler not to use up all the coffee,
 |
| "Don't make a habit of bringing men back here" |
and goes on, “I don’t want this to be a big deal, but just remember that children live here, so don’t make a habit of bringing men back – and, whatever you do, don’t let Garry see him! You’re lucky he’s still asleep – I don’t want to give him more of a reason to throw you out!”

| "OK, I'll get rid of him" |
Tyler agrees that he will get rid of his ‘date’.
 |
| "You're a bit early, Gwyneth" |
Gwyneth arrives at the Deri before opening time, and tells Cassie that she needs a word with Garry;
 |
| "The school skiing trip is expensive" |
“Gwern wants to go on the school skiing trip, but it’s expensive – even half of it – and as I don’t have an income, I’ll have to find another way of raising the money.”
 |
| Her hint that Cassie could pay more . . . |
She suggests that perhaps Cassie could pay more rent,
 |
| . . . is flatly rejected |
but this idea is met with the stony response that Cassie will find somewhere else to live. Gwyneth goes upstairs to find Garry,
 |
| Tyler's boyfriend is on his way out . . . |
and meets Tyler and his boyfriend on the way.

| . . . and their goodbye kiss . . . |
As they kiss goodbye, Iolo comes through the door with Greta,
 |
| . . . is witnessed by Iolo |
and is disgusted by what he sees.

| "OK, I'll pick her up tonight" |
He hands over Greta to Tyler, and says that he will pick her up tonight,
 |
| He leaves without another word |
walking out without another word.
Upstairs, Gwyneth points out to Dani that Gwern wants to go on the trip, and wonders if Garry will help; Dani cannot answer that,

| "He's supposed to replace what we had!" |
and as Garry walks in, he complains about the coffee which Tyler bought. “He’s supposed to replace what we had! Can you buy the one I like later, please?”
“Do you trust me with such an important job? Wow!” replies Dani, sarcastically,
 |
| "The trouble is, I'm skint, Garry" |
and Gwyneth raises the matter of the skiing trip, emphasising that she is skint.
 |
| "What happened with the last 'skiing trip?" |
“Do you want me to remind you what happened the last time you tried to trick me into paying for a ‘skiing trip’ for Gwern?” he demands, and she gives him the official letter from the school.
 |
| "OK, book it – I'll pay half!" |
“OK, book it – I’ll pay half!” he announces,
 |
| "I hoped you would pay all of it" |
but she explains that things are a little tight for her at the moment, and she had hoped that he might pay all of it.
 |
| "No, I don't think so!" |
“No, I don’t think so,” is Garry’s response. She argues that she can pay him back when she has the money, but he reminds her that that they agreed half and half.
“It’s your fault that I’m unemployed!” she moans, and he maintains that she has had enough time to find a job;
 |
| "If you can't find the other half, he won't go!" |
he points out that if she cannot find the other half, Gwern will not be able to go.
 |
| "This coffee is awful!" |
Then, after tasting the coffee, he grimaces and pours it down the sink.
 |
| Anita looks again at the letter |
Anita looks again at the letter from Her Majesty’s Courts Service,

| "Have you considered apologising to Dani?" |
and Siôn enquires if she has considered apologising to Dani. “How can I do with that without breaking the bail conditions?” she demands, and he suggests she could write a letter.

| "So she can cut it into pieces?" |
“So that she can cut it into pieces?” Anita rages, “No – I’m not going to waste my time!”
Siôn then advises that she should send an e-mail, and then she can decide exactly what she wants to say;

| "I know what I want to say to her!" |
“I know what I want to say to her!” Anita growls, and he maintains that a letter would be better,
 |
| Siôn encourages her to write a letter |
fetching some paper from the drawer. He points out that it is worth trying.

| "I had such a shock that he's moved on so quickly" |
Kelly has gone to visit Iolo, and he says, “I know it’s none of my business any more, but I had such a shock that he’s moved on so quickly.” She is not going to take sides,
 |
| "Unfortunate you found out like that" |
but thinks it is unfortunate for Tyler that Iolo found out like that.
 |
| "I got this in the post" |
Then she goes on to show him what she received in the post;

| Paul seems a very happy baby |
some photos of Paul, looking extremely happy. “The foster family are lush!” Kelly smiles,

| "I'm thinking of showing them to Auntie Anita later" |
“I’m thinking of showing the photos to Auntie Anita later.” Iolo is sure that she would like that.

| The landlord has come to check the property . . . |
Then there is a knock at the door, and Garry would like a word with Iolo, regarding the house; “As a responsible landlord, I want to check that everything’s OK.” Kelly leaves, and Iolo says that everything is fine with the house;

Garry also wanted to check that he is OK, after everything that has happened with Tyler.

| "I saw him earlier" |
“I saw him earlier,” begins Iolo, and Garry is pleased to hear that, insisting that he thinks it is a good thing that families stick together, like he and Dani have done.

| "It's better for Greta if you all live in the same house" |
“It’s better for Greta if you can all live in the same house,” he goes on,
 |
| "You do remember what he did?" |
but Iolo reminds him of what Tyler did. “Yes, but I know he misses you, and regrets it, Iol,” Garry goes on, “It’s obvious to everyone that he wants you back.”

| "Tell me why he kissed some bloke leaving the Deri earlier, then" |
“Tell me why he kissed some bloke leaving the Deri earlier, then,” Iolo replies,” and with a look of fury on his face,

| Garry is in a hurry to leave the house |
Garry walks out of the house.
 |
| Tyler is planning his day with Greta |
“I’m taking Greta to Carmarthen today, if you fancy joining us,” Tyler tells Dani, and Cassie encourages her to go.
 |
| "Pack your stuff –you're moving out!" |
But then Garry marches in, and orders Tyler to pack his stuff, as he is moving out.
 |
| "What have I done now – finished your Coco Pops?" |
“What have I done now – finished your Coco Pops?” sneers Tyler, but is asked the age of the guy he brought back last night.
 |
| "I don't want him bringing young men into my home!" |
“Dani, I don’t want him bringing young men into my home!” Garry stresses,
 |
| "I want you out!" |
and again instructs Tyler, “I want you out!” Dani tells Tyler to stay where he is, but he snarls that he is fed up with explaining himself to Garry, and he will go.
 |
| "I've had enough here!" |
He exclaims, “I’ve had enough – I’ll find somewhere to live, and then I’ll come back for Greta and my stuff!” He hands Greta to Cassie,
 |
| "And find yourself another job!" |
and is warned by Garry to find himself another job while he is at it.
 |
| "Can I put up a poster, Kelly?" |
Gwyneth comes into the café and asks to put up a poster;
 |
| "If you have a few shifts going . . ." |
“Listen, if you have a few shifts going, will you keep me in mind, please?” she asks Kelly,
 |
| "Yeah, OK" |
who replies rather unenthusiastically that she will.
 |
| Tyler is looking for accommodation |
The next one to come in is Tyler, who wants a favour; “Can Greta and I stay here for a couple of nights? Garry has thrown us out.”

| "Can't your new boyfriend help you out?" |
“Oh – can’t your new boyfriend help you out?” she comments, and he wonders how she found out, then realises that it was Iolo, who he was not expecting to bring over Greta so early.
 |
| Tyler is rebuked for being disorganised |
Kelly remarks, “You need to be more organised, Tyler –
 |
| "Sara and Ifan are upstairs" |
“and I can’t help you out – Sara and Ifan are upstairs – I’m ‘chocka’!”
 |
| "Why did Garry throw you out, then?" |
Kath is sitting nearby and enquires why Garry has thrown him out;
 |
| "There's plenty of room at Maes-y-Deri " |
“Come to Maes-y-Deri – we’ve got plenty of room. Come over now, then we can go and get Greta and discuss the rent.”

| "I hope that perhaps this might help your mood swings!" |
In the Deri flat, Dani provides Garry with the correct coffee; “I hope that perhaps this might help your mood swings!” she says,

| "It's a lot better now Tyler's not around" |
and he replies that he is a lot better now that Tyler is not around.
 |
| "Having a go at me in front of everybody!" |
She understands that he is angry with Tyler; “But having a go at me in front of everybody downstairs – having a go at Dai yesterday – Gwyneth today – I don’t know what’s going on!”

| "I've got a lot on my mind, Dan" |
His explanation is that he has a lot on his mind.
 |
| "I can't do anything right!" |
She continues, “I’m trying to talk to you sensibly – but I can’t do anything right – you won’t let me make any decisions in this relationship. I don’t understand it!”

| "That's what I'm like, Dan" |
He is sorry, but reminds her that it is what he is like; he is busy and tired, so she urges him, “Go and have a nap, then, because,

| "Honestly, I can't live with you like this!" |
“honestly, I can’t live with you like this.” When he complains that he has too much to do, she points out that everything will still be there when he wakes up;

| She hopes that he will be in a better mood |
“But with a bit of luck, you will be in a better mood to deal with things.”

| Anita reads through what she has written |
Anita reads what she has written, “That’s why, Dani, I want to apologise to you, for causing you to break your arm,” and Siôn suggests that she adds the word ‘unreservedly’.

| Anita suddenly hears Kelly's voice |
Kelly comes to visit them, and Anita is immediately on the defensive;
 |
| "I have something to sort out upstairs" |
Siôn says he has something to sort out upstairs, and leaves them. “He has never been subtle, has he?” comments Kelly,

| ""I want to try and improve things" |
“I know things have been really awkward lately, but I want to try and improve things.”

| She hands the envelope to Anita |
She hands the envelope to Anita.
“A couple of photos and a letter from the . . . erm . . . foster family –
 |
| "I thought you would like to see them" |
“I thought you would like to see them,” says Kelly,
 |
| Paul looks 'full of beans' |
and her aunt is delighted, describing Paul as ‘beautiful’.
 |
| "He looks really happy!" |
“He looks really happy as well, doesn’t he?” Kelly goes on, “I know you’ll never agree with what I did, but that’s exactly what I wanted for him – a family!”
 |
| "But this is only temporary, Kelly" |
Anita points out that this is only temporary, and he will have to move again to be adopted, but Kelly urges her to read the letter, as it might help her to understand, and come to terms with it.
 |
| "Perhaps I can go and visit him" |
“It says here that you can visit him – perhaps I could come with you!” Anita suggests, “As I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye.”
 |
| "I said goodbye last week – I can't do it again!" |
Kelly will not allow that, as she said goodbye to him last week, and cannot do it again.
“A couple of days, and we’ll have another chat,” Kelly proposes,

| "Have you spoken to Dani recently?" |
and as she is on her way out of the door, Anita asks if she has spoken to Dani recently.
 |
| "Could you have a word with her for me?" |
She explains that the date for the plea hearing has arrived, and that she would like Kelly to have a word with Dani for her, to try and get her to change her mind. “Tell her about Paul, and the fact that I didn’t get to say goodbye.”
 |
| "Yes, if you think it will help" |
Kelly will do so, if Anita thinks it will help; when Kelly leaves,

Anita sits down and looks at the photos again.

| Mark's television watching is disturbed |
Mark is watching the television when his mother arrives home, with Tyler and Greta; “They’re going to stay with us for a while,”, Kath announces, “Tyler’s going to rent the attic –

| "The penthouse, as we call it" |
“or penthouse, as we call it!” Mark does not look too pleased at the invasion of his home,
 |
| Mark is instructed to help his mother |
but has to accompany his mother upstairs to prepare the room.

| "I haven't been asleep, Dani . . ." |
Dani is dozing on the sofa when Garry returns from the bedroom, but says he has not had a nap;

| ". . . but I have organised a holiday for us" |
“I’ve done something better – I’ve organised a holiday for us. We’ve been under a lot of strain and I’m sorry for losing my temper shouting at you – don’t you want to go?”

| Dani does not want to be told what they are doing |
She maintains that she does not want him to tell her where or when they are going on holiday, without discussing it first,
 |
| "With this arm, it will be a nightmare" |
and points out, with her broken arm, it will be a nightmare. “We’re not going abroad,” he explains,
 |
| "What if we went to Newcastle?" |
“What if we went to Newcastle? A couple of nights with Neil and Gloria, travel around – go to some places we’ve been before.
 |
| "A clean slate at last – a chance to talk" |
Dani is not very keen, but he insists that it will do them good; “A clean slate at last - a chance to talk.”

| "What – you're actually going to listen to me?" |
Dani regards this as a novel idea – Garry actually listening to her, and warns that if he is not serious about that, she will not go.

| "Shall we go tomorrow?" |
He agrees to her demand, and suggests that they go tomorrow;

| "Asking for my opinion wasn't that difficult, was it?" |
she smiles, “You see, asking for my opinion wasn’t that difficult, was it?” and he replies that he is learning slowly.

| "On holiday, I'm making all the decisions!" |
She specifies, “From tomorrow, on holiday, every day, I’m making all the decisions!” He predicts that it will be an interesting journey,

| Garry has to be careful, hugging her |
and gives her a careful hug. She says they will have to get Cassie to cover in the Deri.
 |
| "I think that Auntie Anita will forgive me" |
Downstairs, at the bar, Kelly tells Iolo she thinks that Auntie Anita will forgive her; “Today was one step in the right direction,” and he is glad that they are building bridges.
 |
| Kelly intercedes on behalf of Anita |
When Dani approaches, Kelly informs her that she has been to see Anita, who is, she says, “Super sorry!”
“Well, I’m not dropping the charges, Kelly!” Dani insists, “And I don’t want to talk about it – it’s between me and her.”

| "Didn't you know – he's moved to Maes-y-Deri!" |
When Iolo asks if it is OK for him to go up and get Greta, she is amazed that he has not been told; “They’ve moved to Maes-y-Deri!” and he rushes off.

| Carrie is willing to run the Deri |
Cassie is quite willing to run the Deri as long as the paperwork and the stock is in place; she tells them they deserve a holiday. Dani will go and make arrangements for next week.

| "I've already agreed to pay half of your skiing trip" |
“Not fair?” replies Garry, “Despite the fact I’ve agreed to pay half of your skiing trip?
 |
| "Mam will have to pay the other half" |
“Mam will have to pay the other half, of course.”

| "Thanks, Dad!" |
Gwern is very grateful to his father, but Gwyneth is furious.

| "Iolo's here!" |
At Maes-y-Deri, Tyler and Mark are playing a computer game when Iolo arrives;

| "I hear you've moved house" |
“I hear that you’ve moved house,” he says, and Tyler maintains that he did not have time to tell him. Kath tells Mark to come with her, but he is very reluctant, as he is in the middle of a game;
 |
| "Shouldn't you have told me where my daughter is living?" |
when they are left alone, Iolo demands, “Shouldn’t you have told me where you’re living with my daughter? I assume that this is a temporary arrangement?”
 |
| "I don't know at the moment" |
Tyler does not know the answer to that at the moment.

| "Did you meet that guy on one of those apps?" |
“Did you meet that guy on one of those apps?” Iolo demands, and is told that it is none of his business. “You need to be careful – remember what happened to me!” Iolo adds.

| "Unlike you, I know how to handle myself!" |
“Unlike you, I know how to handle myself!” Tyler sneers at him,
 |
| "OK, I'll wait outside" |
and Iolo decides he will wait outside.
 |
| Gwen is enjoying some leisure time |
In the Deri, where Gwen is chatting with a friend, Anita and Siôn arrive;

| "Get out – you're not supposed to be here!" |
as soon as Dani sees Anita, she rages, “No – get out! She’s not supposed to be here! She’s breaking the bail conditions!”
 |
| Anita is prompted by Siôn |
Siôn says that Anita has something to give her, and Anita puts down the message on the bar.
 |
| "We were both hurt that day, you know" |
She haltingly begins, “Dani, we were both hurt that day, you know – I know it wasn’t intentional, but you stopped me from saying goodbye to Paul.”
 |
| "I could get you for assault or GBH!" |
Dani is not placated in any way, but emphasises, “You do realise I could get you for assault or GBH?”
 |
| "I lost the chance to say goodbye to my grandson!" |
Anita points out that she lost the chance to say goodbye to her grandson.
 |
| "It might be a good idea for you to go" |
As Siôn tries to calm Anita, Dani instructs Garry to call the police, and he thinks that it might be a good idea if they left.
Anita, as usual, is determined to have the last word; “See, Siôn, I told you there was no point coming!” and as a final insult to Dani, she snarls,

| Anita's vicious tongue gets the better of her again |
“You know what? You’re a selfish, spiteful person, who refuses to see anyone else’s point of view!”
 |
| "I don't want to see you again until you're in the dock!" |
Dani wishes her, “So long! I don’t want to see you again until you’re in the dock!”

| "Leave your homework for a minute, love" |
At number nine, Gwyneth tells Gwern to leave his homework for a moment;
 |
| "I just can't afford half of it" |
“This skiing trip – I’m so sorry, but I just can’t afford half of it. Perhaps you can go next year.”
 |
| "Everyone else is going!" |
He points out that everyone else is going, but she stresses that he knows that she is not working at the moment.
 |
| "I hate you!" |
He gets up and storms off up the stairs, shouting at her, “I hate you!”
