Angharad has prepared croissants . . .
When Gaynor is ready to go to school, she finds that Angharad has prepared croissants for breakfast,
. . . but Hywel has already left for work
and informs her that Hywel has already gone to work;  “CwmFM is trying to promote this ‘Cwmoni’ campaign.”   Angharad says that it will give her and Gaynor the chance to catch up,
Gaynor cannot wait to get away from her
but Gaynor is already putting on her coat, to go to school.
“Any voluntary work is always worth doing, isn’t it?” says Angharad, “I might join them!”
"They've got enough volunteers now"
Gaynor thinks that they have got enough volunteers, as even the schoolchildren are taking part now.   “Well, as soon as Gerwyn has finished my car, I’ll be off!” Angharad promises.
"You can stay here until your car's finished" — bad move, Gaynor
Gaynor rather unwisely tells her, “You can stay here until the car is finished – it will give you a chance to eat those croissants!”   Angharad proposes to go for walk, as she tries to do every morning these days.
After a quick drink of coffee, Gaynor has to to get going, and is told, “You’re so busy, Gaynor – you’re an example to us all!”   With a great deal of effort, Gaynor forces herself to say that it is nice to see Angharad looking so happy, and leaves.
She waits for the front door to close . . .
As soon as the door closes,
. . . then resumes what she started yesterday
Angharad returns to the drawer where she found the financial documents yesterday.
"GBH – and breaking and entering!"
In the shop, Sara remarks to Anita, “GBH, I heard, and breaking and entering!   What were you thinking?”   Anita is still insisting that it was an accident,
"You went up to the flat without permission"
but is reminded, “You went up to the flat without permission.”
"You would have done the same, if you thought Ifan was there!"
“Yes – and you would have done the same, if you thought Ifan was there!” Anita snarls,
"I wouldn't let anyone take him in the first place!"
but Sara caustically replies that she would not have let anyone take him in the first place.   “No – because you have never made a mistake in your life, have you?” Anita demands.
Then Anita turns her anger on Kelly
At that moment, Kelly comes into the shop, and Anita starts on her, too;  “Siôn told me where you went yesterday – your little baby has gone for ever – and you didn’t even give me the chance to say goodbye, like you promised.”
"I tried to get hold of you – but you'd been arrested!"
Kelly calmly replies, “I tried to get hold of you, but you’d been arrested!   What was I supposed to do?”
"You should have postponed it"
Anita suggests that she should have postponed it, and Kelly informs her, “No – so I’m sorry you couldn’t say your goodbyes – but it might be for the best, because it was horrible!”
This comes as news to Sara
Sara knew nothing about this;  “You should have said something, instead of suffering in silence,” but Anita callously points out that it was Kelly’s decision to be on her own.
"And I feel guilty as hell – satisfied?"
“And I feel as guilty as hell!   Satisfied?” Kelly says, and Sara escorts her out of the shop.
The volunteers have gathered in the café
In the café, Jason is briefing all the volunteers and issuing high viz jackets,
Cwmderi's law enforcement officer arrives
when PCSO Ashurst comes in;  “I’m helping make sure everyone’s safe, and keeping an eye on you,” he announces.
"Thank you all for coming . . ."
Jason stands on the stairs to address everyone;  “Thank you all for coming, despite the terrible weather outside –
". . . we'll work to the park and Maes-y-Deri"
“we’re going to start in the village and work to the outskirts – to the park and Maes-y-Deri.”
"We throw our rubbish into next door's garden"
Kath advises that there is no rubbish outside their house;  “We throw it all into next door’s garden!”   DJ says that he will be there to control traffic, but he cannot be everywhere, so warns them to be careful.
Here comes Dylan, taking centre stage as usual
Dylan comes in, carrying bags containing refreshments from Tapas for the volunteers, and also thanks them for coming;
"Tapas has prepared lunch for you all"
“No-one should work on an empty stomach, so Tapas has prepared lunch for you all – and some snacks too.   Bring the full bags back, and we’ll put them in the skip.”
"Don't forget the protocols we have to follow"
Conscious that Dylan is taking over the proceedings, Jason reminds everyone of the protocol they have to follow;  “If you see needles or syringes, don’t touch them, all right?”
"If you see drug dealers,  throw them in the skip!"
Kath adds, “But if you see drug dealers, throw them in the skip!”
"My name and number is on the sheet – as the organiser!"
Dylan advises that if there are any problems, people should come and see him, but Jason stresses that it is his name and number on the sheet, so in the event of problems, he, the organiser, should be contacted.
"Are you going to be able to cope, Kelly?"
Sara asks Kelly if she is going to be able to cope with all the cooking today, and is told, “It will keep me occupied.”
"I shall be taking photos for the website"
Dylan intends to take photos for the website, and when he goes outside, Jason asks Sara if Kelly is all right.
"Shw saw Paul for the last time yesterday"
Sara is amazed that she turned up at all;  “She saw Paul for the last time yesterday,
Jason is warned to be careful
“so be careful what you say.”
Anita arrives, and explains that she is free for a few hours, if Jason needs the help.
"It's about time you did something worthwhile!"
Sara bitchily remarks, “It’s about time you did something worthwhile!”
"I thought you'd be nursing Jaclyn"
Gaynor calls at the garage and is surprised to see Gerwyn there;  “I thought you’d be nursing Jaclyn,” she says,
"Mam's on duty today"
and he replies that his mother is on duty today.   “She must be glad to be home,” Gaynor continues,
"I heard that Guto is not coming back to school"
then mentions the rumour she has heard that Guto is not coming back to school, and wonders what he is going to do.
Gerwyn tells her that Guto is going to look for a job;  “I just hope he finds someone sensible to work for.”   He will be greatly missed at school, but Gaynor wishes him good luck.
"Is this Angharad's car?"
Then she enquires if this is Angharad’s car;
"I can't understand what's wrong with it"
he says he cannot understand what is wrong with it, and will have to take it for another drive.
Then Dylan comes round the corner, and wants a photograph of the headmistress;
"Things are much better now Jaclyn's home"
he tells Gaynor that they are much better now that Jaclyn is home again.
She has to go and supervise misbehaving children
She sees that some of the children are larking about outside, so goes to supervise them.
"That's what happens when I organise things"
DJ comes in, and is told by Dylan that it is nice to see the villagers doing something positive.   DJ reports that it is running like clockwork;  “That’s what happens when I organise things,” boasts Dylan.
Angharad gets a shock when going through Gaynor's papers
As Angharad is busily searching through documents, there is a knock at the door, and a voice shouts, “Delivery!” so she goes to the door.
"Gaynor Llywelyn?"
The delivery man asks if she is Gaynor Llywelyn, and she confirms that she is;  she signs for the parcel,
"My husband won't be happy I'm spending his money"
and comments that her husband will not be happy that she is spending his money.
"How is this healthy rubbish supposed to keep our strength up?"
Kath complains to Kelly, “Haven’t you got some stodge?   How is this healthy rubbish supposed to keep our strength up?”
"Have you got any bacon rolls?"
and Mark would fancy a bacon roll.
"You haven't filled a bag – and you're already scrounging, like!"
“Take it or leave it!” is Kelly’s abrupt reply, “You haven’t filled a bin bag yet – and you’re already scrounging, like!”   Kath appreciates that she has had a hard time recently,
"That doesn't give you the right to talk to us like that!"
but maintains that does not give Kelly the right to talk to them like that, and she does apologise to them.
“It was your decision to give that baby away,” Kath points out, but Kelly stresses that she did not ask for Kath’s opinion.
"I had to raise him myself, because Dyff was in jail"
“I was 16 when I had Mark,” she goes on, “I had to raise him myself, because Dyff was in jail – but there we are, look how he’s turned out –
"He's as good as gold" – when he is not cutting down other people's trees
“he’s as good as gold!”
Kelly has had enough and goes
Kelly walks out of Yr Antur, and as Dani comes in,
"I can't believe you've stooped so low!"
Anita moans at her, “I can’t believe you’ve stooped so low and reported me to the police!   I know it was you!   How could you?   You know it was an accident.”
"You were like a woman possessed!"
Dani does not agree with this evaluation;  “It wasn’t an accident – you were like a woman possessed!”   Anita explains that she was panicking that she had lost Greta –
"You must be able to understand that, Dani!"
Dani must be able to understand that, and pleads that Dani should drop the allegation.
"I'm not allowed to discuss it – am I, DJ?"
Dani reminds her that she is not supposed to discuss the matter, and calls to DJ to back her up.
"If you're going to pervert the course of justice, Anita . . ."
He confirms that if Anita is going to pervert the course of justice, he will have to arrest her, so she hurries away.
Jason goes to check on Kelly
Up in the café flat, Kelly is deep in thought when Jason arrives;  he does not blame her for taking a break,
"With Dylan, trying to take all the credit – it's pathetic!"
with Dylan running around out there, ordering everyone around and trying to take all the credit;  “It’s pathetic!”
"No – I'm the one who's pathetic!"
Kelly replies she is the one who is pathetic;  Jason heard from Sara that she had a difficult day yesterday,
"It's done now – there's nothing I can do"
but she adds, “It’s done now – there’s nothing I can do.
"Paul needs stability now"
“Paul needs stability now,” and Jason is sure that he will get that.
"At least, I've made someone happy!"
Kelly sobs, “Yes, because he’ll have new parents – a new name – and they will be able to celebrate his first birthday, Christmas, his first day at school, his wedding – at least I’ve made someone happy!
"I don't want to see anyone, Jase"
“I don’t want to see anyone, Jase.”
"I'll get Sara to come and see you"
He understands that; he says that he will go and find Sara, and get her to come up to Kelly straightaway.
"Jase, please don't go!"
Then she begs, “Jase, please don’t go,”
Kelly clings on to him
and he embraces her.
Angharad obviously has some kind of scam in mind . . .
Angharad is conducting a thorough search of Gaynor’s finances, including her gas bill, and photographs her passport;
. . . and puts Gaynor's gas bill in her handbag
then she puts the gas bill into her handbag, and replaces the file of papers in the drawer.
She finds a spare house key
She finds a key and leaves the house.
"Do you feel better now, Kelly?"
Kelly and Jason are still hugging, and she says that she feels better now;
"I don't want you to think I'm taking advantage "
“I’m sorry – I don’t want you to think I’m taking advantage, because I’m not,” she assures him, “So if you want to go back to ‘Cwmoni’ or whatever . . .”
"They can cope without me for another five minutes"
Jason is sure that they can cope without him for another five minutes, and they kiss.
"Don't let me stop you!"
Just at that moment, Sara comes up the stairs, and comments, “Don’t let me stop you!”
Angharad collects the car from the garage, and is effusively grateful to Gerwyn;
Gaynor is carrying out surveillance on Angharad
Gaynor is watching from under her umbrella, outside the Deri.
What on earth has Kath got there?
Kath seeks shelter in Yr Antur as Dylan is leaving a message on Sara’s phone, informing her that Jason and Kelly have disappeared.   “Look what I found behind APD!” says Kath, with obvious distaste,
"Dai Ashurst's pants!"
and Mark describes them as Dai Ashurst’s pants.   “These should come with a public health warning!” declares Kath.
"Can you lend a hand, Ger?"
Gerwyn is on his way back from the garage when Dylan asks if he can lend a hand;
"Go to hell, Dylan!   Jac has told me everything!"
Gerwyn’s response is, “Go to hell, Dylan!   Jaclyn told me everything – everything!   You should be in prison – you’re the lowest of the low!”
"She's been through a lot, hasn't she?"
“I don’t know what Jaclyn’s said, but she’s been through a lot, hasn’t she? Dylan replies, but is warned not to use Jaclyn’s condition to save his own skin.
"Everything all right there, boys?"
DJ is passing and asks if everything is all right,
"Just pulling my brother-in-law's leg"
and Dylan maintains that he has just been pulling his brother-in-law’s leg.
"The strain is getting too much for him"
When Gerwyn walks away, Dylan suggests that the strain is too much for him, but DJ does not appear persuaded.
Kelly looks at her last photo of Paul
As Kelly sits, staring fixedly at the photo of her and Paul on her phone,
"No wonder you didn't want me to move in here!"
Sara growls, “Everything makes sense now – no wonder you didn’t want me to move in here!   Pretending you were worried about Ifan – saying it would upset Kelly to have a child around the place!   But you were just worried that I’d be a nuisance, and that you wouldn’t be able to carry on behind my back!”
"Why would Kelly offer you a place to stay?"
“If that were true, Sara, why would Kelly offer you a place to stay?” Jason demands.
"I've been there for you through everything, Kelly!"
Sara turns her anger on Kelly;  “I’ve been there for you through everything, Kelly – I’ve comforted you, defended you, and this is how you thank me?   How could you carry on with my husband?”
"I'm your husband when it suits you, then?"
Jason turns to her and concisely observes, “I’m your husband when it suits you, then?”
"Why didn't you tell me?"
She goes on with her rant, demanding why they did not tell her, instead of carrying on slyly, and letting her find out like this.
"We haven't been carrying on, right?"
Kelly, still looking at the phone, calmly replies, “We haven’t been carrying on, OK?” but Sara does not believe a word she says, assuming that they have probably been at it for months.
She screams at Kelly, “Look at me when I’m talking to you!” and is told that they only slept together at once;
"Stop being so dramatic!"
Kelly advises Sara to stop being so dramatic.
Angharad is back, clutching a bottle of wine
Angharad has now returned to Y Felin,
She replaces the spare key in the drawer . . .
where she replaces the spare key in the drawer where she found it,
. . . and leaves a note
and writes a note, which she places next to a wine bottle she has bought.   Then after looking around the room, she leaves the house.
"Wanted Jason all to yourself, did you?"
Sara is still haranguing Kelly, “I remember you encouraging me to go with Dylan – what was that about?   You wanted Jason all to yourself, did you?”   Kelly remains silent, but Jason explains that neither of them planned anything – it just happened.
"Things haven't been easy for anyone, have they?"
“Things haven’t been easy for anyone, have they?” he demands,
"That doesn't make it right for you to jump into bed together!"
so Sara screams that does not make it all right for them to jump into bed together.
He insists that they have done nothing wrong;
"You were the one who had an affair!"
“You had an affair – you’re the one who ruined Ifan’s life!”   As Sara shouts that she has heard everything now,
"Shut up and get out of my flat!"
Kelly bellows at them both to shut up, and get out of her flat now.
Sara pushes Jason aside and storms off;
"Go on – out!"
he follows, more quietly, after Kelly has shouted at him again,
Kelly returns to her photo
then she resumes looking at her phone.
Gaynor is pleased that Angharad seems to have left . . .
Gaynor arrives home and finds that Angharad is no longer there;  she notices the bottle of wine and the note,
. . . and reads her note
which reads, “Thanks for last night.   Love you.   Angharad.”   Gaynor breathes a sigh of relief.
"Let me explain, Gerwyn"
At number 10, Dylan tries to explain, but is silenced by Gerwyn,
"I'm not discussing anything with you!"
who declares, “I’m not discussing anything with you!”
"We don't want to upset her, do we?"
“Jaclyn’s still got a lot of recovering to do – and we don’t want to upset her, do we?” suggests Dylan, “I just don’t want you to do something you’ll regret.”
"Threatening me now, are you?"
“You’re threatening me now, are you?” Gerwyn demands, and Dylan explains that he does not want Jaclyn to get worse.
"It will never happen again"
“Just listen – I’ve made mistakes, OK – but it will never happen again!” he promises, and Gerwyn is surprised that he admits it, but he maintains that he has learned his lesson;  this is not believed by Gerwyn.
"Jaclyn's willing to give me another chance"
Dylan goes on, “Jaclyn is willing to give me another chance to sort my life out, because I got caught up in something that’s almost impossible to get out of.”   He is told that he will get no sympathy from Gerwyn,
"Too many people have been hurt"
but insists, “I want you to know that I can’t carry on the way I was – too many people have been hurt.”
"Did you push her, to shut her up – like that schoolgirl?"
“Were you arguing about the drugs when Jaclyn stepped out in front of Diane’s car?” Gerwyn asks, “Or perhaps you pushed her, to shut her up – like you did with that schoolgirl?
"I didn't do anything to Jaclyn!"
Dylan is adamant that he did not do anything to Jaclyn;  “Don’t ever accuse me of that again!”
"She might forgive you – but I never will!"
Gerwyn makes it perfectly clear, “Jaclyn might forgive you – but I never will!”
