Siôn visits the shop flat to talk to Mathew, and obviously disapproves of the state of cleanliness;

“She didn’t have much to say when I saw her earlier,” he says and Mathew answers that she was the same with him.
He has no idea when she will be coming home, but at least he can get the place ready for her;

“The fridge is full of beer, yoghurt and a pint of milk,” he informs Siôn, who comments that they are all bad for her.

“Is she going to sleep on the sofa?” asks Siôn, and is told that she will be in Eifion’s room, which is empty.

When Siôn raises further points, he is reminded that he is not her only ex.

An unusual camera angle, looking down the stairs at Deri Fawr, reveals Sioned packing for their journey, but she tells DJ that she will not be taking everything with her, and that some will be going to Apêl Maenan.

Sioned seems strangely distant and DJ asks what is wrong, but she insists that there is nothing. “Have I done something wrong?” he demands, “I know things are difficult, but . . .”

In a desperate attempt to change the subject, Sioned says that she had better get some boxes for this stuff and will pop out to APD for some.

Ieuan Griffiths is preparing a lavish spread, and it is revealed that this is our first view inside Tomos ac Ellis.

As he arranges strawberries on the plate, Anita comes in, asking what is the emergency.

“Surprise!” he says, but she protests that she is busy today. “A romantic breakfast to celebrate you moving in, isn’t it?” he goes on, “Not here – into my house.”

“But I’m not moving into your house – I’m just staying with you during the wedding,” she points out. He stresses that they will be living together

and that she will have a spread like this every morning from tomorrow onwards.
Of course Anita raises objections; “I can’t eat croissants every day – I have to fit into my dress!”

He laughs that she has not bought one yet, and suggests that she have a coffee or a pineapple juice.

She apologises that she is stressed about this wedding, as she picks up a strawberry.
“I’m going to Swansea today, you know that, and I know Amanda will give me a headache.”

Ieuan assures her that he will have the house ready for her when she comes home. He will run her a bath so that she can relax in the water in peace.

The phone rings and he grumbles that they are not yet open; in his haste to get to the phone, he knocks it on to the floor. “Good morning – Tomos ac Ellis – who is this? The history society?”

Meanwhile Anita takes another strawberry and hurries out of the shop.

“Listen, not this again!” Ieuan snarls down the phone.

Mathew has just served a customer at APD when Sioned carries some boxes to the counter; “Getting things organised at Deri Fawr, are you?” comments Mathew,

and she reveals that they are moving, which he assumes will be back to Penrhewl.
“Another one without much faith in us,” she groans,

“We’re leaving Cwmderi – after Kelly’s and Jason’s wedding – DJ has got a job out in Ireland, so we can finally leave this hole!”

Mathew is very shocked when she tells him that it is permanent and that there is nothing left in Cwmderi for them.

“I’m here,” he sadly replies.

Siôn comes in and informs Mathew that it is all sorted with Tesni; “I got Dylan’s number from Megan, and I’ve sent him a message explaining everything. She should be with her family.”

As Sioned comes back with another pack of boxes, Mathew growls, “You didn’t think I could cope, did you?”

but Siôn insists that he was only thinking of Tesni.

Sioned intervenes to emphasise that Mathew is a fantastic nurse; “He’s nursed lots of my hangovers.”

She in turn accuses him of not knowing what Tesni needs; “Don’t be so patronising!”

Mathew insists that Tesni will want to be with him; “Give me Dylan’s number – I’ll phone him and tell him not to worry.” Siôn walks out without another word,

“I haven’t got time to eat – it’s nice for those who can tuck into their breakfast – while I deal with the plebs!” he moans, “John Jones from the local history society – you gave him a mouthful a few weeks ago, apparently.

Hywel reminds him that he was the one who gave Garry the dodgy planning approval, but Ieuan maintains there was nothing dodgy about it.

Gaynor sarcastically comments, “I’m sure everyone was desperate for an American fast food diner!” Ieuan wonders if she has tried it, as the wings are lovely.

Hywel refuses to discuss this over breakfast; “If I hear any more about that John Jones,” he threatens. Griffiths hopes that they enjoy their breakfast and leaves the house.

At the shop in Swansea, Diane is selecting various garments and Kelly unenthusiastically remarks to Anita, “I can’t wait for this fashion show.”

while Sioned is working to clean up the flat. “Can I come in to see her tomorrow?” he asks, and says that would be perfect.

Sioned feels very sorry for Tesni and enquires, “You two – are you . . ?” He denies that, stressing that he would never go back there, and in any case she and Rhys are WhatsApping or DMing – whatever it is.
“I would never have put those two together – but there we are,” remarks Sioned. Mathew says they seem pretty happy, and if Rhys had not taken the job in Cardiff,

There are some struggling noises emitting from the changing rooms and Diane’s voice can be heard; “I can’t get this dress on – haven’t they heard of zips in this century?” Anita advises that she needs to try a bigger size, but Diane is sure that the sizes get smaller every day. Meanwhile, Kelly is sitting, patiently waiting.

At last they both emerge from the changing room, only to discover that they are wearing identical dresses, and Anita reveals that she is not very keen on that one anyway.

Back from Carmarthen, Jason cannot wait to see Kelly’s face; “She’ll be so excited,” he says and assures Jinx that she has no idea that he is involved in it.

He receives a text message and remarks, “Here she is now – and it’s lucky I’ve got a surprise for her – she’s not very happy. She’s out shopping with Mam, Amanda and Auntie Neet.”

He reads the message, “Where are you? Why aren’t you answering your phone? I’m never talking to you again! And there’s one with language a bit more colourful than that,” he adds, “Do you think these rings will work? Aren’t they a bit . . . plain?”
