"I've brought Gwern's football boots" |
Garry comes into the Deri, and Dani snarls at him, “What do you want?” He replies that he has brought the football boots over for Gwern,
![]() |
"There's no match until next week" |
but she points out there is no match until next week.
“No, but I promised to bring them over today,” he informs her, and assumes that she has got up on the wrong side of the bed;
![]() |
"Are you angry no-one turned up?" |
“Or are you angry that no one turned up to the launch?”
![]() |
"Come to gloat, have you?" |
Now she understands that he has simply come there to gloat; “Well, just so you know, loads of people have made bookings already,” she triumphantly announces.
![]() |
"Why do you think so little of me, Dani?" |
Garry wonders why she thinks so little of him, and Mark has just arrived with the post;
![]() |
Dani does not look quite 100% . . . |
at the bottom of stairs she appears not to be feeling well, and Garry asks if she is all right.
![]() |
. . . and Mark recommends seeing the doctor |
Mark is also concerned about her, but she maintains that she just feels a bit dizzy, as she has not eaten anything this morning. Mark suggests that she should ring the doctor, in case it is anything else; Dani is confident that she will be fine after some toast.
![]() |
"Why are you taking such an interest?" |
Garry is wondering why he is taking such an interest; Mark realises that he might be giving the game away,
![]() |
Mark thinks he had better go |
puts down the post and leaves the pub. Garry accompanies Dani up the stairs to give Gwern his boots.
![]() |
"I don't know about this, Britt" |
In the chip shop flat, Colin is far from sure about it, but Britt tells him, “Kelly says this is a great stress-buster –
![]() |
"It's lucky that Jason is ill . . ." |
it’s lucky that Jason is ill, you know what I mean – if he wasn’t, we could not have replaced them.”
![]() |
"Sounds like a waste of time to me!" |
As Colin rolls out his exercise mat on the floor, he comments, “A ‘Virtual Wellness Retreat’ – sounds like a waste of time to me!” Britt has been told by Kelly that they will feel empowered after this,
![]() |
"Quiet, Col, we're online!" |
then tells him to be quiet, as they are now connected to the instructor, Jen.
![]() |
"Britt and Colin, welcome" |
“Ah, Britt and Colin, welcome,” says Jen, “Kelly has said lovely things about you – we go back years – she’s been on dozens of courses with me.”
![]() |
"We've never done this sort of thing before" |
Colin advises that he and Britt have never done this sort of thing before, but is assured that they will be fine, and they should start by taking their shoes off –
![]() |
"The energy of the earth travelling up through your feet" |
“So you can feel the energy of the earth travelling up through your feet and filling you with warmth.”
![]() |
"And socks as well?" |
He wants to know if he should remove his socks as well, and is worried that, as they live in a flat, that they will not feel the Earth travelling up there,
![]() |
"There are chip fryers below us!" |
with chip fryers below them. Britt tells him to be quiet;
![]() |
"We paid £70 for this, Colin" |
“We’re paying £70 each for this session, so shut up.” This price astonishes him.
![]() |
Dani has recovered her equilibrium |
In the Deri flat, Dani is feeling better after a glass of water;
![]() |
"He's very happy with his new boots" |
Garry reports that Gwern is very happy with his new boots, and she is anxious to get rid of him.
![]() |
"Why did Mark want to call the doctor?" |
“What’s going on? Why did Mark want to call the doctor?” he demands, and she answers that he often goes over the top.
“I saw that look – Mark was worried, and he wouldn’t be without reason,” Garry continues,
![]() |
"Are you ill?" I have a right to know" |
“Are you ill? If you are, I have a right to know – I’m still your husband – I’m still Gwern’s and Seren’s father. If their mother’s ill . . .”
![]() |
"I'm stressed, Garry!" |
Dani rages that she is not ill – she is stressed; “The launch, the divorce and that I’m trying to sort out between us – please!”
![]() |
"I'll go and ask Mark, then" |
He threatens to ask Mark, if she will not tell him, so she shouts, “Do you really want to know?
![]() |
"I'm not ill – I'm pregnant . . ." |
“I’m not ill, Garry, I’m pregnant!
![]() |
". . . and, yes, Dylan is the father!" |
“And, yes, Dylan is the father!”
![]() |
Garry is temporarily lost for words |
Garry is speechless, but furious.
![]() |
"How long have you been going out with Dylan?" |
He follows her downstairs; “Dani, please!” he exclaims, “How long have you been going out with Dylan?”
![]() |
"Mind your own business, Garry!" |
She tells him to mind his own business. “I thought it was a one-night-stand!”
![]() |
"You can't keep this baby!" |
There are tears in his eyes as he asks what she is going to do; “You can’t keep this baby.”
![]() |
"This baby is nothing to do with you!" |
She enquires why he thinks that, pointing out that the baby is nothing to do with him, and when he stresses that they are still married, she adds, “For now!”
![]() |
"You can't keep the baby, Dani!' |
Again he insists that she cannot keep the baby, but she makes it quite clear, “That’s where you’re wrong – because I can, and I’m going to.
![]() |
"It's my baby – and I'm keeping it!" |
“You can’t tell me what to do any more, Garry. It’s my baby – and I’m keeping it.” She walks out of the Deri.
![]() |
"We can't even talk about it" |
We have our first glimpse inside the refurbished salon, where Aled is telling Tesni, “He’s gone away – we can’t even talk about it – back to his mother perhaps.”
![]() |
"Didn't you see this coming?" |
Tesni wonders if he did not see this coming, but Aled was under the impression that everything was great.
![]() |
"Said he didn't love me any more" |
“He couldn’t even give me a good reason for finishing with me – he just said he doesn’t love me any more.”
![]() |
"That's what Mathew said – and he was cheating with Izzy!" |
Tesni recalls that was what Mathew said when he finished with her; “And he was cheating on me with Izzy!”
![]() |
"You think he has someone else?" |
Aled is horrified to think that Tyler has someone else, but Tesni maintains that they both deserve better. “Do you really want to go out with somebody as flaky as Tyler?” she asks,
![]() |
"I has a disaster of a day yesterday" |
and goes on about the disaster of a day she had with Lisa yesterday.
“She was so horrible to me – said she’ll sack me if I can’t show respect to men like Ieuan Griffiths, and the ‘saddos’ that I entertain.
![]() |
"How she wants to run an an honest business" |
“I got this spiel about how she wants to run this honest business.”
![]() |
"All you can talk about is your job!" |
Aled is angry, and shouts, “I’m trying to find out if Tyler has been cheating on me, and all you can talk about is your job!
![]() |
"Why is everything always about you?" |
“Why is everything always about you? Just leave me alone, please,” he growls as he goes through the door to the back.
![]() |
Back at number 7 . . . |
A stunned Garry returns to number 7,
![]() |
. . . Garry looks at the garage paperwork . . . |
where he looks at paperwork concerning the garage, puts it away into a box file
![]() |
. . . and plans his next move |
and decides what he is going to do next.
![]() |
"I can't believe you paid so much!" |
After their wellness retreat, Colin complains, “I can’t believe you paid so much for this nonsense! How long does it last?” Britt urges him to calm down, as he is supposed to be relaxing; she says that there is only one session left, and he is very grateful about that.
![]() |
"This retreat is a circus!" |
“The only thing that’s relaxed me is this herbal tea – this retreat is a circus!”
![]() |
"Aren't you enjoying it, Colin?" |
Unfortunately Britt has already connected up the laptop, and Jen’s voice can be heard, “I’m sorry to hear that, Colin, aren’t you enjoying it?” He almost chokes on his herbal tea,
![]() |
"Well, it's . . . different" |
then tries to give the impression that he is enjoying it, simply describing it as ‘different’;
![]() |
"We enjoy trying different things" |
“Having said that, we enjoy trying different things.”
![]() |
"Ridding the soul of negative energy" |
Jen hopes that the next session will change his mind; “We’re ridding the soul of negative energy,”
![]() |
"How do we do that, then?" |
and Colin wants to know how they do that.
![]() |
"There's no easy way to say this . . ." |
Garry has paid a visit to Hywel’s house to see Sara; “This is more about what I can do for you,” he begins, “There’s no easy way to say this –
![]() |
". . . Dani's pregnant – Dylan's the father!" |
“Dani’s pregnant – Dylan is the father!”
![]() |
This comes as somewhat of a shock |
She looks rather taken aback,
![]() |
"Dani told me" |
and he repeats, “Dani’s expecting his baby – she told me.”
![]() |
Sara is in a state of shock |
He turns and walks out of the house, leaving Sara in a state of shock.
![]() |
Jen is making loud moaning noises . . . |
On the instructions of Jen, Colin is making a strange, repeated ‘Aaaah-ooooh’ moan,
![]() |
. . . with Colin following suit |
which presumably is to rid themselves of negative energy, or some such claptrap.
![]() |
"This is silly, Col" |
Understandably, Britt regards this as silly, but Colin is quite enjoying it, making even louder noises.
He advises her to think about something that makes her angry;
![]() |
"Aaron throwing his pants on the bathroom floor" |
“Like Dai complaining about his portion of chips, or Aaron throwing his pants on the bathroom floor,”
![]() |
Then Britt joins in the cacophony . . . |
and she also begins the moaning sounds.
![]() |
. . . but does not notice Colin slump to the floor |
Then suddenly Colin collapses on the floor, and Britt does not realise for some seconds.
![]() |
"He's overwhelmed, that's all" |
Jen warns her not to panic, as she has seen it happen several times before, and Colin will recover in a minute; “He’s overwhelmed, that’s all.”
![]() |
"Colin?" |
Then Britt turns to look at Colin, and realises that with his high blood pressure, this could be dangerous;
![]() |
After a fe seconds of being motionless . . . |
however Jen seems to be quite unconcerned. Britt is relieved to see him coming round after a few seconds.
![]() |
. . . Colin wonders what happened |
He wondered what happened, and is told via the laptop that he will be fine in a minute or two;
![]() |
"Why don't we take a break for ten minutes?" |
it is suggested that they take a break, and will continue with the session in ten minutes.
![]() |
Her screen suddenly goes blank |
However, Britt has had enough of this and terminates the session;
![]() |
"We've had enough of Jen for one day!" |
“I think we’ve had enough of Jen for one day!” she growls.
![]() |
Sara waits for Dylan's return |
Sara is pacing up and down in a foul temper, and when the door opens; she pretends to be reading a magazine.
![]() |
"Tapas is flat out, for a change" |
Dylan says, “I was about to phone you – Tapas is flat out for change – we’re full tonight, too! Did you have a nice morning?”
![]() |
"It was pretty interesting" |
She replies that it was pretty interesting; as he goes to make coffee,
![]() |
"Did you know Dani's pregnant?" |
Sara asks, “Did you know that Dani’s pregnant? It’s nice, isn’t it?”
![]() |
Dylan wants to talk about next month's menus |
He ignores what she said, maintaining they have to sit down and chat about next month’s specials, when she has five minutes.
![]() |
"Garry said you're the father!" |
Sara continues, “Garry told me – and he also said that you’re the father.” Dylan does not make any reply, but simply smiles.
![]() |
"Right, it's true, then" |
“Right, it’s true, then,” she concludes.
![]() |
"I was bored, and she was there" |
He maintains that he does not know anything about any baby; “But yes, I did sleep with her – once. I was bored, and she was there.”
![]() |
"You were bored?" |
Sara is looking more angry
![]() |
"All you do is complain, Sara!" |
as he goes on, “All you do is complain, Sara – ‘Where are we going to live?’ ‘When are we getting married?’ The divorce – Jason – Ifan – on and on! And Dani isn’t the only one I’ve had to turn to, either.
![]() |
"I assume the wedding's off, then?" |
“I assume the wedding’s off, then?” he says, gleefully,
![]() |
"Which is a good thing – we're not compatible!" |
“Which is a good thing, because we’re not compatible!” She turns away, looking shattered.
![]() |
Dani has another booking for Aled |
Dani returns to the salon and apologises for being so long, but has another booking for Aled; “A Bichon Frise dog on Saturday at ten – Dilys wants the works!”
![]() |
"Do you think Tyler has someone else?" |
Aled’s mind is, of course, elsewhere; “Do you think Tyler has someone else? Is that why he really dumped me? Perhaps he’s back with Iolo – I saw Tyler leave his house yesterday.
![]() |
"That makes more sense" |
“That makes more sense than this ‘I don’t feel 100%’ nonsense! Perhaps he met someone while he was back in Llanelli.”
![]() |
"Tyler would not cheat on you" |
Dani is confident that Tyler would not cheat on him, but he reminds her, “He cheated on Iolo, and they were married!
![]() |
"I should have known he couldn't be trusted" |
“I should known then that he could not be trusted –
![]() |
"You were the one he cheated with, Aled" |
“I should have realised that I could never change him. Well we’re better off single – we can’t get hurt, then.”
![]() |
"You know, you might be right there" |
Dani agrees that he may be right there.
![]() |
Dylan reels off his various conquests |
Sara is smouldering with fury, as Dylan enquires, “Are you going to ask me who else I’ve been sleeping with, then? You usually enjoy a good gossip, don’t you? I slept with Angharad, once – a few nights with Sioned, of course – a lot of girls from Swansea.
![]() |
"Whoever wanted me, really – and there were a lot!" |
“Whoever wanted me, really – and there were a lot!”
![]() |
"Why did you ask me to marry you?" |
She wants to know why he asked her to marry him, and he regards that as a good question, which he cannot answer, coming to the conclusion, “I must be off my head! No waterworks, please, Sara!”
![]() |
"I'm not going to cry over you!" |
She snarls that she is not going to cry over him, and warns him not to try to change her mind, because it will not work this time. “Good,” he says,
![]() |
"I don't want you – I've never wanted you!" |
“Because I don’t want you! I never have wanted you – not really.”
![]() |
"If I were Dani, I'd get rid of it!" |
She rages that he is not fit to be a partner or a father to anyone; “If I were Dani now, expecting your baby, I’d get rid of it!”
He points out that he has done a good job of being a father to Aled – not that it is any of her business,
![]() |
"You're Aled's father?" |
and this comes as another great shock to her.
![]() |
"Especially if the baby has Dani's looks!" |
“I’m really looking forward to being the father of Dani’s baby, too – especially if the baby has her looks!” he adds, and she looks disgusted,
![]() |
He looks happy with the way things are going |
but he continues drinking his coffee, quite unconcerned.
As Britt rolls up her exercise mat, she asks, “Did you know that beetroot lowers blood pressure?
![]() |
"I'll make you a beetroot sandwich, Col" |
“Why don’t I make you a beetroot sandwich now, Col?” He replies that there is no need to, as the fainting was nothing to do with the blood pressure.
![]() |
"Please don't panic, Britt" |
“The doc said last week that the pills have brought it right down – there is no need to worry. Look at me, I’m fine – please don’t panic or you will be the one with high blood pressure. But please don’t tell anyone that I passed out because I was chanting.”
![]() |
"As long as you don't tell anyone how much I paid" |
She answers, “As long as you don’t tell anyone how much I paid for the pleasure.”
![]() |
"You're going to regret treating me like dirt" |
Sara comes downstairs, having packed a bag, and promises Dylan, “You’re going to regret treating me like dirt – you think I’m a pushover, but you’re wrong.
![]() |
"I know about the money that disappears from Tapas" |
“I’m not stupid as you think I am! I know that you’re dodgy, Dylan – I know about the money that disappears from Tapas – I know about the fights in Swansea with Daf.”
![]() |
"Big deal!" |
“Big deal!” he dismissively replies, but she continues that she also knows he was nowhere near Swansea on those nights – and I know you’re not where you say you are, half the time.
![]() |
"I put a tracker on your phone!" |
“Because I put a tracker on your phone months ago!”
![]() |
"Oh, no, Sara!" |
He pretends to be frightened, and she threatens, “Perhaps DI Davies will be interested in seeing this tracker, and she can work out what you were doing on those nights. Whatever it was, I doubt that it was legit.
![]() |
"Not laughing now, are you?" |
“Oh, you’re not laughing now, are you?”
![]() |
"You should not have done that!" |
He snarls that she should not done that, but she shouts, “Nothing would give me more pleasure than to help the police put you in jail! Ta-ra, Dylan!”
![]() |
"You're not going anywhere!" |
As she goes to pick up her bag, he informs her, in a menacing growl, “You’re not going anywhere!”
