Tyler is at work, cleaning windows . . .

Tyler is busy cleaning the chip shop windows

. . . while Aled is finding fault with it

when Aled alerts him to the fact that he has missed a bit;

Dylan does not acknowledge Aled

Dylan is approaching and gets out his phone to pretend he is talking to a Tapas customer, totally ignoring Aled.

Tyler advises that he should give his father time,

"He said he wanted to get to know me"

but Aled protests, “He said he wanted to get to know me!”

As soon as Tyler is out of sight . . .

Tyler will see him later, when he has finished the windows.

. . . Dylan returns and say he wants a chat

When Aled is on his own, Dylan returns and apologises, asking if he is free for a chat.

Garry is heading towards . . .

Seeing Garry passing, he tells Aled, “See you in five minutes,” and heads towards the Deri.

. . . the chip shop flat

Garry goes into the chip shop flat,

Colin is obviously enjoying his lunch

where Colin is voraciously devouring his lunch;  Britt is not pleased to see him.

"I don't remember inviting you up!"

“I don’t remember inviting you up!” she growls,

"The landlord has a right to see his flat"

and Garry replies that a landlord has the right to see his own flat.   “I’m surprised that you remember the place – you’ve forgotten your other responsibilities!” she goes on.

He maintains that he had his reasons and he is back now;

"We've managed all right without you"

“We’ve managed all right without you, thank you very much,” she assures him.

"What if I took you and the kids on holiday?"

“Let me make it up to you – what if I took you and the kids on holiday?” he suggests, but she does not consider that will make everything all right.   “No, but it’s a start,” he says, “We can go tonight – just you, me, Aaron, Seren, Gwern.”

Colin is unwilling to be left out

Colin coughs loudly to indicate his dissatisfaction with this, so Garry adds, “And Colin.   Anywhere you like – what do you say?”

Mark has been searching for fenugreek

Mark comes into number 9 and reports that he has been so long because he could not find fenugreek anywhere.   Cassie wonders what he wants that for,

"We're having a curry night tonight"

and he reveals, “We’re having a curry night tonight – I’m making a starter and everything.”

"I've got a friend coming over for dinner"

Cassie’s reply is that it is not convenient, as she has a friend coming over for dinner.

"We'll have the curry another night, then"

He is undeterred, pointing out that they will have the curry another night instead.

"One of us needs to move out, Mark"

“We’re on top of each other in this house, Mark, and I think one of us needs to move out,” she stresses, “I can cope with one tenant, and Lisa was here first.”

He points out that Garry is also there, but she dismisses that as only temporary.

"Right, so you want me out"

“Right, so you want me out,” he groans, and she repeats that there is no room as he dejectedly goes upstairs.

"Things have been hectic here"

“I haven’t been avoiding you – things have been hectic here,” is Dylan’s excuse to Aled, and he is not happy when he discovers that Tyler knows;

"I can't hide it from Tyler"

Aled points out that Tyler is his partner, and he cannot just hide the fact;  he presumes that Dylan has also told his family.

"We agreed to keep it between ourselves"

“We agreed to keep it between ourselves,” Dylan growls, so Aled concludes that his father must be ashamed of him.   “No, but becoming a father overnight is a shock, and I still can’t believe Bethan hid it from me for all these years.

"Did Mam take drugs or just deal them?"

“Did Mam take drugs or just deal them?” Aled enquires, but Dylan, now rather angry, replies that she was a mess, he tried to help, but she would not listen.

Dylan is very eager to get rid of Aled

He goes into the kitchen, opens the laptop and maintains that he is still up to his eyes, with lots of work to do today.

"Once I'm on top of things . . ."

Once he is on top of things, he will make time for them to talk properly.

"Could I have the photo back?"

As Aled is about to go, he asks if he can have the photograph back,

Dylan has to think up a quick excuse

but Dylan asks if he can keep it, as it helps him to get his head around things.   Aled can understand that and leaves the house.

"How am I going to get out of this one?"

Dylan wonders how he is going to get out of this.

"They deserve a father they can rely one!"

Britt tells Garry, “Gwern and Seren deserve a father they can rely on!”   He accepts this, but argues that the trip will do them good.   Colin is now ready to go to work in the shop, and asks her to let him know if they are going on holiday, so he can make arrangements.

"I enjoyed myself a bit too much over Christmas"

He needs to buy new trunks, as he enjoyed himself a bit too much over Christmas,

"We're not going, Col"

but her answer is that they are not going.   He goes downstairs.

"I want to make up for it, Britt"

“Britt, I know you’re angry – and I caused you a lot of trouble, but that’s why I want to make up for it,” Garry pleads,

"You've still got my credit card"

“You decide where we’re going, and I’ll pay for everything.   You’ve still got my credit card.”

Britt thinks this is too easy, and then he announces,

Then comes the catch

“There is one small condition – the children’s passports are in the Deri with Dani.   I’d rather she didn’t know about this trip.”

"You're going to kidnap the children?"

She is furious that he is going to kidnap the children, but he protests that he is not kidnapping anyone.

"It will be much easier if you get the passports"

“It will be much easier if you get the passports,” he explains, “I can’t go near the place!   You can go in and out without arousing suspicion.

"If Dani wants to talk, just make something up!"

“If Dani wants to talk, just make something up!” he shouts.

Then, calming down somewhat, he goes on, “Britt, you deserve this holiday more than anyone – all you have to do is fetch the passports.”

Britt appears to be receptive to his idea

She appears to be considering doing what he says.

Lisa and Tesni have been shopping

In the Deri, Lisa and Tesni come in after doing some shopping, and Lisa thinks that they deserve a drink;

"Two large white wines, please"

she orders two large white wines from Cassie.

"You've already bought me all these clothes"

Tesni whispers, “You’ve already bought me these clothes,” and is told that she deserved it, after working hard this week.

"Be careful – she has history . . ."

Cassie is suspicious, and remarks to Tesni, “Your boss is looking after you – be careful – she has history.”

". . . and it's not just men she likes"

This interests Tesni, and she is told, “Lisa’s destroyed a few marriages over the years – and it’s not just men and she likes.”

"A little variety never hurt anyone"

Tesni answers that a little variety never hurt anyone, but is again warned, “Be careful – she could eat you for breakfast – and I wasn’t born yesterday – I know what you do for her.

"Don't let her put pressure on you"

“Texts can quickly turn into something else, so don’t let her put pressure on you, buying you all these clothes.”

"I can look after myself"

Tesni is quite confident she can look after herself.

"Why don't you try on that top?"

When Lisa returns from the ladies’, she suggests that Tesni should try on the top that she bought.

"I'd hate to see someone take advantage of her"

Cassie comments that she is a nice girl and has been through a lot;  “I’d hate to see someone take advantage of her,”

Britt comes in, almost unnoticed

but Lisa replies that she would never do that.   Britt sneaks quietly into the pub and goes upstairs.

The flat happens to be empty . . .

She goes up to the Deri flat, and finds that there is no-one there;

. . . and she looks around

she looks around, conspiratorially.

"I won't be back until stop tap"

Back home at number 9, Cassie is told by Mark, “I’ve arranged to have a few pints with Gerwyn tonight – I won’t be back until after stop tap.”

"Look, I asked you to move out, Mark!"

She makes it abundantly clear that she asked him to move out, not just one night.   “Yes, I know you want some peace – I could stay with Gerwyn and come back tomorrow.”

"There isn't enough room here for everyone"

Cassie stresses, “Mark, there isn’t enough room here for everyone!”

"You haven't been yourself since we almost . . ."

He realises that she has not being herself with him since they almost . . . that is why she wants him out – she is ashamed.

"Things are complicated, Mark"

She tells him not to be ridiculous;  “Look, things are different – and they are complicated.   That business with your mother – I don’t want to lose her as a friend –

"I don't want to lose you as a friend"

“and more importantly, I don’t want to lose you as a friend.”

"I'd better start packing, then"

He agrees that is the last thing he wants, and will go up to start packing now.

"He hasn't told his family yet"

When Tyler meets Aled in the Deri, he asks if they had a good chat;  Aled believes that they are moving forward, but says that Dylan has not yet told his family – he is waiting for the right time.

"We haven't organised to meet again"

“I understand it’s a lot to take in – we haven’t organised when we will meet again.”

Britt does not manage to go unnoticed this time

Britt comes downstairs from the flat, and Tyler asks if she has the window cleaning money;

"I'll transfer it to you online"

“I’ll transfer it to you online,” she replies.

"Do you want me to have a chat with Dylan?"

Then Tyler asks Aled if he should have a chat with Dylan, but this is not considered necessary, as he is expected to be in touch soon.

Garry is anxious that Britt has the passports

Back in the chippy flat, Garry demands whether Britt has the passports;  she says that she has,

"Book wherever you like"

and he instructs her, “Book wherever you like, but we have to leave today, before Dani notices what’s going on.

He has it all worked out

“We’ll meet outside just after three, and pick up the kids from school and the crèche.

"We're doing the right thing, Britt"

“We’re doing the right thing, Britt!   It will do us all good.”

"Yes, I know that, Garry"

She is quite aware of that,

She takes the passports from her pocket

as she takes the two passports from her pocket.

At last, Mark has packed his bag

Mark has packed his bag, and thinks he has everything;  “We had a lot of fun, didn’t we?” he says,

"Yes, almost too much fun"

and Cassie remarks that it was almost too much.

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything"

Garry returns to number 9, and hopes that he is not interrupting anything.   “Mark is going home to live with his mother,” she tells him.

"Enjoy yourself with your friend tonight"

Mark leaves his house key, and hopes that Cassie enjoys herself with her friend tonight.

"Trouble in paradise?"

“Trouble in paradise?” queries Garry, “Who’s this friend, then?”

"It was an excuse to get him to leave"

Cassie replies that there is no-one – it was just an excuse to get him to leave;  she is fed up with the place being used as lodgings.

"I'm going on holiday!"

“Don’t worry – I’ll be out of your way soon enough – I’m going on holiday,” Garry informs her, “Thanks for the lodgings – how much do I owe you?”

"It's just a favour for a friend"

She describes it as a favour for a friend.

"Did Mark have to pay?"

“Is that what you did for Mark – or did he have to pay?” Garry wonders.

"Give me another twirl"

“Give me another twirl,” says Lisa, and Tesni obliges;

"I'm looking for a model"

she is described as looking stunning.   “Look, I’m trying to find people for an upcoming photoshoot,” Lisa continues, “I haven’t found a model yet.”

"So that's why you bought the clothes"

Tesni realises that is why she has been bought the clothes, and is told that she would be perfect.   “You wouldn’t be doing it for free – it’s cash in hand.”

"Are you looking for men as well?"

Aled comes in, and Tesni enquires if she is also looking for men, suggesting Aled – two for the price of one.   “If you can persuade him, great,” Lisa tells her, “We’ll talk about it tomorrow.”

"I've found you a job – as a model"

Tesni announces to Aled that she has found him a job as a model,

Aled laughs

which makes him laugh.

"Get kicked out, did you?"

Mark arrives back at Maes-y-Deri, where his mother comments, “Get kicked out, did you?”

"None of your business, Mam"

He mumbles that it is none of her business.   “Typical Cassie,” Kath goes on, “Are you sure nothing happened?

"If she's taken advantage of you . . ."

“If she’s taken advantage of you, I want to know.”

"I was the one who wanted something to happen"

He makes it quite clear that he was the one who wanted something to happen, but Cassie did not feel the same way.   “Well, now you know, so you don’t have to interfere in my life again – I mean it, Mam – all right?   Or I won’t be coming back next time.”

"Shall I make us a fresh cup of tea?"

She proposes making a fresh cup of tea for them,

"If I want anything, I'll make it!"

but Mark insists, “If I want anything, I’ll make it!”

"All right – it could be a laugh"

Aled agrees to the idea, thinking that it could be a laugh;  “I’ll do anything to dress up.

"What kind of bloke is your Uncle Dyl?"

“Listen, what kind of bloke is your uncle Dyl?   I was thinking I’d try for a job in Tapas, that’s all – is he all right?”

He tends to 'splash the cash'

Tesni replies that he is great and really generous with her and Guto.   He also supported her Mam and Dad when things were not great between them;  “You don’t fancy him, do you?”   Aled tells her not to be silly, and wonders if she fancies Lisa;  “Bit too old for me, I think,” is the answer, “Do you want me to ask Uncle Dyl about a job for you?” but he says there is no need.

"You haven't told her, have you?"

Tyler has just arrived at the bar and realises that Aled has not told her;  “I’m just trying to find out more about him.”

Dylan walks in, takes one look . . .

At that moment Dylan comes in, sees the two of them together,

. . . and quickly exits again

and makes a rapid about turn, witnessed by Tyler, who follows him outside.

"This isn't an easy situation for you"

“Dylan, I realise this isn’t an easy situation for you,” he says, “Is there anything I can do to make things easier?   You can’t run away from this – Aled’s a good man – you should be proud of him.”

"He should never have told you"

Dylan snarls, “I don’t want your help or advice – he should never have told you.”

"We are partners"

Tyler points out that they are partners;

"Unfortunately – I don't want you telling anyone else!"

“Unfortunately!” Dylan comments, “I don’t want you interfering or telling anyone else, OK?”

Tyler wonders why he is so worried, but is instructed;  “Keep your nose out of my business, understand?”

Colin is loading up the car

As Dylan walks away, we see Colin loading up the car outside the chippy flat;  Britt also comes out with some luggage,

"Where are we going?"

and Garry appears round the corner.   “Hey!   Is everything sorted?” he asks, “Where are we going?”

"Disneyland – I can't wait!"

Colin excitedly reveals, “Disneyland – the kids and I can’t wait – I’ve got new trunks!”   Garry wants to know the time of the flights, and is told nine o’clock;

"Oh – we're going first class!"

when he looks at the details of the journey, he sees they are flying first class.

“Only the best – seeing as you’re paying” Britt informs him.

"Britt – my name's not on here"

Garry does not see Dani approaching behind him, as he discovers that his name is not down on the list.

"No – but my name is!"

“No – but my name is!” declares Dani.

"Thanks for paying for it!"

Britt tells him, “See, Gar – I said I needed a break after you vanished.   If that’s true about me, it’s definitely true about Dani and the poor kids.   So thanks for paying for it!”

"How many stars does the hotel have, Britt?"

Dani is also very grateful, and enquires how many stars the hotel has.

“Five stars, Dani!” Britt replies.

"You'd disappoint Gwern and Seren?"

Garry threatens that he only has to make one phone call to cancel it all.   “And disappoint Gwern and Seren?” says Dani.

"We'll tell the children you send your love"

Britt warns that it is time they made a move, and will tell the children he sends his love.

"So long, Garry!"

“So long, Garry,” smiles Dani.
