"Sorry for phoning Tes, rather than you, Dad"
As they eat their breakfast, Guto tells his father, “Sorry for phoning Tes, rather than you, about Mam,” but Gerwyn does not blame him,
"It's not you I'm angry with"
and reveals that it is not his son he is angry with.
“It’s Dylan – don’t you think it’s odd that your mother still holds a grudge, after everything that’s happened?
"Don't you think it's odd she doesn't want to see her brother?"
“Don’t you think it’s odd that she doesn’t want to see her brother?”
"You're always going on about Dylan!"
Guto is fed up with his father going on and on about Dylan,
Gerwyn is sure there is something he does not know
and is just happy that his Mam is OK.
Tyler arrives at Y Felin
At Y Felin, Tyler arrives to collect Greta, and Siôn calls upstairs to Anita;  Tyler asks if she has behaved, and is told that she is a good girl.   “I saw Iol at the beginning of the week – he had a cup of tea at the flat,” says Tyler,
"Greta will be glad you're getting along now"
and Siôn is sure that Greta will be glad that they are getting along now.
"Come on, Greta – Dadi's waiting for you"
Siôn calls upstairs again, “Come on, Greta – Dadi’s waiting for you.”
Gerwyn comes to apologise to Diane
Gerwyn arrives at Bryntirion, and tells Diane, “I’ve come to apologise – I shouldn’t have spoken to you the way I did at the hospital.   I was wrong, and I’m sorry.”
"How is Jaclyn?"
Diane is rather taken aback by this;  she had heard that Jaclyn could speak, but asks how she is.
"The doctors seem to be pleased with her"
“The doctors seem to be pleased with her,” Gerwyn replies, and Dai regards that as a very good thing.   “She’s a bit weak sometimes, you know, and rather confused as well – but it was such a relief to hear her talking again,” Gerwyn continues.   Dai maintains that it is only to be expected that she is confused after a big operation, and Diane offers Gerwyn a cup of tea, but he cannot stay.
"Jaclyn wants to see you, Diane"
“Another thing, Diane – Jaclyn would like to see you,” he adds, and is anxious that Diane should go and see her today, as it would really be appreciated.
"Don't speak for me, Dai – I'm not sure"
Dai is sure that Diane will go and visit her, but she irritably warns him, “Don’t speak for me – I’m not sure.”
"Please, Diane"
Gerwyn pleads with her.
"Tyler said you had seen each other"
Siôn visits Iolo at number 7;  “Tyler said earlier that you’ve seen each other a few times, but I made no comment,” he tells Iolo,
"It's no big deal, Dad"
who does not regard it as big deal.   “It appears that he does,” says Siôn, and Iolo points out that it is his problem
"It's good you can be civil in front of Greta"
Siôn is pleased that at least he and Tyler can be civil to each other in front of Greta, and Iolo acknowledges, “That’s the least I can do for her – I can be civil –
"If he's expecting more than that, he'll be disappointed"
“but if he’s expecting more than that, he’ll be disappointed.”
"If you need anything, I'm here"
His father warns him not to isolate himself, and is always there if Iolo needs any help.
Who should they bump into at the park, but Aled?
Tyler, with Greta, arrives in the park, where the the birds are singing up in the trees;  then we see that Aled is also there, and is sporting a black eye.
"Did your Dad do that to you?"
Tyler is dismayed to see him, and asks, “Did your Dad do that to you?”   Aled nods his head, and replies that his father does not need a reason.
"You have to report him to the police – or leave home"
“You have to report him to the police, or leave home – you can’t carry on like this,” Tyler tells him, and he wonders whether Tyler is offering him a place to live.
"I've got nowhere else to go"
“I don’t have any choice but to stay there, because I’ve got nowhere else to go,” replies Aled.
Diane has actually gone to the hospital
Diane arrives at the hospital, but is very hesitant;
Jaclyn is pleased to see her
summoning up her courage, she goes into Jaclyn’s room, and is welcomed.   “I wasn’t sure what to bring,” says Diane,
"Everyone has been so kind"
and Jaclyn tells her how everyone has been so kind.
Diane sits down . . .
Diane sits down by the bedside
. . . and is very upset
and is looking very upset,
"The accident was my fault – and I shall tell the police that"
but Jaclyn begins, “I’m so sorry – the accident was my fault, and that’s what I’ll be  telling the police.”
Diane bursts into tears
On hearing this news, Diane breaks down in tears.
They are being watched . . .
In the park, Tyler is talking to Aled – and someone is watching them;
. . . by Iolo, who is passing in his van
it is Iolo, from his van.
"More lies again, is it?"
He angrily gets out and runs towards them, seeing Aled talking to Greta.   “Oi!   More lies again, is it?” shouts Iolo, but is told that it is not what it looks like.
"You two are still in a relationship!"
“I don’t want to hear it – you two are still in a relationship!” Iolo snarls, but Tyler urges him to calm down and think of Greta.
He replies that is exactly what he is doing, and Tyler calls upon Aled to confirm there is nothing between them;
Aled does not confirm what Tyler has said
he, significantly, makes no comment.
"You're not going to do this!"
“You’re not going to do this!” says Iolo and he seizes Greta’s buggy and starts walking away.   Tyler protests that he has no right to do that, as she is supposed to be with him today.
"Greta –  wave bye-bye to Tyler!"
Iolo bends down and tells Greta, “Wave bye-bye to Tyler,” and when Tyler objects, maintaining that he should be called Dad, goes on, “Not any more!   If you’re still having an affair with him, you’ve got no right to have her ever again!”
Tyler shouts after him, but with no response;  Aled suggests that Iolo does not mean it,
"I've lost Greta – so get lost, will you?"
but Tyler turns on him, raging, “This is your fault – I’ve lost Greta, so just get lost, will you?”
Aled follows Tyler to the café
Aled has followed Tyler back to the village and into the café, where he is once more told to get lost.
"I'm so sorry for spoiling things for you"
“I’m so sorry for spoiling things for you, especially with Greta,” says Aled, but is told that it is a bit late for that now, and that he should be saying it to Iolo.   “I understand how much she means to you,” Aled continues, but Tyler emphasises that he will never understand.
"I never want to see you again!"
“Stop following me – I never want to see you again!” Tyler growls;  then he notices Guto, who is taking an interest in this altercation,
"Don't tell anyone that he's seen me – understand?"
and cautions him, “Don’t you tell anyone that he’s seen me – understand?”   He walks out of the café.
"Tyler is never going to have her again!"
At number 7, Iolo reports to his father that Greta is fast asleep, and announces, “Tyler is never going to have her again –
"I caught the two of them in the park"
“I caught the two of them – him and Aled – in the park with Greta – they’re obviously back together again.   Tyler denied it, and spouted more of his lies – but Aled was honest and didn’t deny it.”
"I wasn't going to leave her there with them!"
Siôn is very upset for his son, who stresses, “I wasn’t going to leave her there with them!
"He's not seeing her ever again!"
“He’s not seeing her ever again!”
"Was that the right thing to do?"
Siôn wonders whether that was the right thing to do,
"He's made his choice – that's the end of it!"
and is told that Tyler has made his choice – that is the end of it.
Siôn is very anxious
Siôn finds this concerning.
"I've messed things up"
Out in the alley, Aled tells Guto, “When I saw Iolo coming, I went really defensive.   I’ve messed things up,” but Guto is naïvely optimistic that things will work out for him in the end.
"I don't think so – not after today!"
“No – I don’t think so – not after today,” is Aled’s reply.
He says that it is good news about Guto’s mother, and is told not to change the subject.
Gwen is cleaning the café windows – again!
Guto asks how he got the black eye, and after pretending that he walked into a door, Aled alleges that it was caused by Iolo;
"Iolo gave me the black eye – he went bonkers!"
“Yes, I know that he doesn’t look the type – but he went bonkers in the park this morning!   I deserved it, anyway – I’ve wrecked his family!”
"I made the GIF of you and Tyler"
Guto confesses that he did not help either;  “I made the GIF of you and Tyler,” and is surprised when Aled bursts out laughing, apparently not worried at all about that.
Tyler is downhearted
Tyler is sitting glumly in the Deri, and Gerwyn informs him that he is having a celebration drink, because Jaclyn is going to be OK.   Tyler does not make any comment,
"Jaclyn's talking now – which is great"
but he goes on, “She’s talking now – which is great, considering what she’s been through.”
"You don't have to pretend to be nice to me"
Tyler sneers, “You don’t have to talk to me, pretend to be nice to me – I know you hate me!
"That's why you showed that GIF to Gaynor!"
“That’s why you showed that GIF of Aled and me to Gaynor!”
Gerwyn takes no notice but orders a pint of lager;
"I can't stand the narrow-mindedness of people like you!"
Tyler, who appears to have had several drinks, goes on, “I can’t stand the narrow-mindedness of people like you in this village,” and he goes upstairs to the flat.
"No pleasing some people, is there?"
“There’s no pleasing some people, is there?” Gerwyn remarks to Geraint, behind the bar.
"He was so positive when I saw him this morning"
Siôn remarks, “He was so positive about you when I saw him this morning,” but Iolo replies that it just proves what a good liar he is.   “Let’s accept for a minute that they’re in a relationship,” his father continues, “Why would they meet in such a public place?”
"Because they don't care what other people think!"
Iolo is quite sure he knows the answer to that;  “Because they don’t care what other people think – they’re still in a relationship.
"He was more willing to lose Greta than Aled!"
“Tyler was more willing to risk losing Greta than to lose Aled!   Do you know what, Dad?   This changes everything – seeing him go behind my back like that . . .
"I want a divorce!"
“I want a divorce!”
"It will change Greta's life"
His father points out that it is a huge decision, especially for Greta;  “It will change her life.”
"Divorce is the only way out of this, Dad"
Iolo considers that it will be for the better, and that divorce is the only way out of this;  “Are you on my side, or what?” he demands.
"We'll support you 100%,  Iolo"
Siôn confirms that he and Anita will support Iolo 100% in his decision.
Gerwyn is looking at the sports pages
Gerwyn is reading the Western Post in the Deri when Guto and Aled enter.
"What if Tyler comes in?"
Aled worries, “What if Tyler comes in?   I don’t want to upset him.”
"I'll pay for these, boys"
Guto goes to the bar to get a lemonade, and his father offers to pay.
"Guto's a great boy"
“Guto’s a great boy,” Aled remarks to Gerwyn, and is told that he takes after his father.
"Tyler went upstairs in a foul mood"
Gerwyn also informs them that Tyler went upstairs in a foul mood, and Aled admits that he is not supposed to see Tyler.
"I'd do anything to have a Dad like that"
Aled wonders whether Guto minds sitting in the pub with his father;  “I’d do anything to have a Dad like that,” he says, wistfully.
Diane is much more herself when she returns to the village
Diane walks along the village street in a much more positive humour;  she sees Siôn coming out of the door of number 7, and crossing the road, looking rather preoccupied.
She waves to Siôn, but he does not notice . . .
He appears not to have noticed her as she waves to him, and her face falls.
. . . having other things on his mind
Dai is also approaching, and demands, “Why didn’t you phone?   I’ve been on tenterhooks.”
"I felt like having a walk to the village . . ."
She apologises and says that she felt like having a walk to the village,
". . . but perhaps I shouldn't have"
adding, “But perhaps I shouldn’t have.”
"Look – he wasn't ignoring you, Diane"
He points out that Siôn White was not ignoring her, but his mind was on going to the shop.
"Jaclyn said the accident was her fault"
“Are you going to tell me what Jaclyn had to say?” he goes on;  she tells him Jaclyn stressed that the accident was her fault, and will be telling that to the police.   Dai is confident that they can draw a line under it all now;  at least they are moving in the right direction.
"Won't you stay for a game of darts?"
Aled is now leaving the Deri, and will not stay for a game of darts;
"Got a 'nice shiner' there, hasn't he?"
Gerwyn regards him as nice bloke, but has noticed the ‘nice shiner’ that he has.   Guto sticks with the story of him walking into a door or something.
"I've been getting on my own nerves, to be honest"
“Look, I know I’ve been getting on your nerves recently, says Gerwyn,  “I’ve been getting on my own nerves, if I’m honest!”   Nevertheless he is still determined to win this game.
"I've been an idiot lately – and you've been incredible!"
“Before we start, I just want to say I’ve been an idiot lately – and you have been incredible,
Guto is all bashful
“I’m proud of you, Guto!”
"Just looking forward to thrashing you at darts!"
His son is just looking forward to having his mother back home – and also to thrashing his father at darts.
"I'm glad I've got this opportunity to say sorry"
Iolo has phoned Tyler, asking him to come over;  “I’m glad I’ve got this opportunity to say sorry for this morning,” says Tyler, and Iolo justifiably suspects that he is drunk.
"I only had a couple of pints in the Deri"
However, he maintains he only had a couple of pints in the Deri;  “I wouldn’t come here if I was drunk,” he goes on, “Come on, Iol!
"You took my daughter away from me, Iol!"
“You took my daughter away from me – what do you expect me to do?   Shout hooray?”
Iolo does says not a word, as Tyler rants on, “I had a couple of drinks because I was upset.
"It was a dirty trick – calling me Tyler instead of Dad!"
“It was a dirty trick – calling me ‘Tyler’ instead of ‘Dad’ in front of Greta!   That was below the belt!   And you had no right to do what you did either – to take her!   What happened in the park was nothing to do with me –
"I'm really glad you realise you made a mistake this morning"
“but I’m really glad you’ve realised you made a mistake this morning – that’s what you phoned me, isn’t it?”
"I phoned you because I want a divorce!"
“No!” Iolo decively informs him, “I phoned you because I want a divorce!”
"I know you had a shock, Iol!"
He is urged to hang on;  Tyler realises that Iolo had a shock when he saw them together, but he himself was shocked, maintaining that he did not want to see Aled.   “I called him a stalker earlier, and warned him to stay away!
"I just want things to be all right with Greta"
“I just want things to be all right with Greta, and forget about . . .”
"Shut up, Tyler!"
At this point, Iolo instructs him to shut up, and Tyler pleads with him not to do this.
"Just keep away from the house!"
Iolo then orders him to stay away from the house.
"A divorce doesn't make sense!"
Once again Tyler begs that he just wants things to be right with Greta, as they love her;  “You know that – a divorce doesn’t make sense!”
"It's the only thing that does make sense!"
Iolo declares, “It is the only thing that does make sense!” and goes to open the front door, so that Tyler can leave.   “Get out of my sight!” he roars, and Tyler meekly does so;
Tyler leaves the house
he walks away in the direction of the Deri,
Iolo is going to have a good cry
and Iolo looks about to burst into tears.
