Mathew is on his way to the shop . . . |
. . . and is accosted by an apologetic Tesni |
"You obviously don't think there's any hope for us" |
"I wish things were like they used to be - I love you, Math!" |
Mathew gives her a comforting hug |
"You're lucky you're not a teacher!" |
"It's not easy on Aled, either" |
They appear to be back on good terms now |
Dylan has collected his coffee from Gwen |
"What on earth's wrong with you, Ger?" |
"I didn't know Guto was there" |
"The twins have got enough on their plate without worrying about you" |
"It means nothing if the sepsis is still in her body" |
Dylan reminds him that it is not easy for him to see his sister lying in that hospital bed;
“But what use is feeling sorry for myself? That’s not what Jaclyn would want.
“I’m going to the hospital – are you coming?”
"What use is feeling sorry for myself?" |
"I'm going to the hospital – are you coming?" |
Gerwyn is under the impression that Guto will not want him there,
so Dylan reminds him, “You’re supposed to be strong for the children – not the other way round!” and walks out of the café.
"You're supposed to be strong for the children – not the other way round!" |
Greta is hiding from Auntie Kath |
She is keeping out of sight |
"There you are – I can see you!" |
"She loves to have someone to play with" |
"Greta, hide round here!" |
"I need to pop out for a boiler part" |
"I could take her over to number 7" |
"Come straight back – I don't want Tyler anywhere near her" |
"Now, if you were to fix the boiler for free . . . " |
"You can push her in the buggy – if you're fit enough!" |
Greta thinks she is being ignored |
"Any news about Mam?" |
"I have some apologising to do" |
"We all know how useless you are in a crisis!" |
"Thinking that worst is not going to help Mam" |
Now he will prepare some breakfast, and asks how her revision is going;
“I don’t know why I’m bothering – nothing is sticking!” she glumly replies, but her father reminds her she is the brainbox of the family.
"I don't know why I'm bothering" |
"Do you think Mam will be pleased I've applied to go to University?" |
"She will be extremely proud of you" |
Gerwyn prepares to cook the bacon |
A change of scene for Greta |
The Sali Mali book has been located |
"What's going on here?" |
Greta is too absorbed to take any notice |
"Why isn't she with Iolo?" |
"I'm looking after Greta for Iolo" |
Of course, Tyler insists that he should have her, and picks up one of her toys;
“I bought this for her – this is your elephant,” he says, but Kath is eager to take Greta back to Maes-y-Deri.
They leave the house, with Greta clutching her elephant, and Kath reminds him to close the door on his way out.
"I bought her this elephant" |
"Come on, Greta – time to go now" |
Gerwyn is alerted by the smoke alarm, and finds . . . |
. . . the bacon has reached the point of no return |
He is in a state of utter panic . . . |
. . .and has already gone when Tesni comes down |
"I don't care if he decorates the place with crayons" |
Kelly has the excuse that there are eclairs downstairs |
Dylan helps himself to coffee |
“Gerwyn’s fallen to bits!” he says,
and she encourages him to go back to them; he is not particularly keen,
so she suggests going out somewhere this afternoon, as he needs a break too.
"You ought to go back there" |
"How about going somewhere this afternoon?" |
"Gerwyn's gone missing now!" |
"We need to find a new chef for Tapas" |
"It's stressful for you, too, Sara" |
"It feels like a sauna in here!" |
"Thanks for fixing the boiler, Iolo!" |
"Loops on toats – it will only take two minutes" |
"Yes, I've got customers hassling me" |
"Why don't you leave Greta with me?" |
"Would you do that. Kath?" |
"That one couldn't even cook boil-in-the-bag!" |
"I could do a couple of evening shifts" |
"It's just loads of olives, cheese and calamari!" |
"I don't know what I'd do without you!" |
"How are things with Dylan, Sara?" |
"We should be there for each other" |
Kellys doubts if that is happening |
"Perhaps it suits him that everything's fallen through" |
"Life comes to a stop when your sister is fighting for her life!" |
Sara realises she is being slefish |
Garry comes into the garage . . . |
. . . and finds Gerwyn hiding in the corner |
"There's a lot to do, but I'll finish it by the end of the week" |
"Whoa – you don't have to be here" |
"Working here is the only thing I can get right!" |
"I can't even cook blinkin' bacon, Garry!' |
"I know – I've been there, trust me" |
"If there's anything I can do, let me know" |
"Thanks, Garry" |
Now Tyler is pestering Kath at home |
He stresses that he is her father,
and wonders how Kath would like it if she were stopped from seeing her child. “Look, she’s playing happily – just leave her alone,” she urges him, but he insists that he just wants to give her a cwtch;
she agrees that she will allow that, and then he must go.
"How would you like if if you were stopped from seeing your child?" |
"Just one cwtch – and then you go, right?" |
"Do you miss Dad?" |
Dylan does a spot of cleaning up |
"Why haven't you been answering your phone?" |
"Mam's started responding to the antobiotics!" |
"The sepsis is clearing, Dad!" |
Tesni embraces her father |
Dylan's look of apprehension |
"I want to take you out for drink somewhere" |
"I hope you don't mind me coming and going like this" |
"Anita, Eileen?" |
"Kelly?" |
"A nod of approval would boost my confidence now, Dyl!" |
"Jaclyn's going to be OK!" |
"I want to take you out this afternoon" |
"Stop hassling me, Tyler!" |
"If you're not happy about Kath – tough!" |
"Look, I can do it for free!" |
“Arrangements have been made!” Iolo informs him,
and once again Tyler rants on about being her blood relative, and that he should make the decisions.
"I should make the decisions!" |
"I'm the only responsible father she has!" |
Tyler rages that he has no right to do this, but is once again reminded, “You lost that right when you slept with Aled!”
"There's no way you're going top stop me seeing Greta!" |
Iolo ends the conversation |
Tyler walks away, then stops . . . |
. . . and is warned by a car horn that he is in the middle of the road |
