"Just be honest with her"

Outside the Deri, Hywel advises Cassie, “Just be honest with her,” but is told that it is not that easy.   Hywel is sure that she will understand.

"That `I've kept something else from her?

“That I’ve kept something else from her?” demands Cassie, but at that moment Kath comes out of the pub 

"Oh, it's the invisible woman"

and calls Cassie ‘the invisible woman.’

Hywel leaves them to it

Hywel receives a message on his phone as Kath goes on, “I expect you were talking nonsense with him!”   In response to the message, Hywel walks away;  

"What were you talking about?"

Kath wants to know what they were talking about, so Cassie suggest that they had better have a word.

“I’d love to have a chat with you – but it’s like a circus in here,” replies Kath, 

"If it's not too much trouble"

“Perhaps you could clear these tables, if it’s not too much trouble.”

Hywel goes to get flowers

Hywel has gone across to the shop, where he selects a bunch of flowers, just as Mark comes out and suggests, 

"Buying forgiveness, are you?"

“Buying forgiveness, are you?”   Hywel explains that it is just something to welcome Ffion home to Deri Fawr;  he has just heard that she is leaving hospital today.   

That makes Mark think

This news causes Mark to think.

"You can't be on your phone all day"

Jinx comes downstairs at Deri Fawr with some washing and warns Arwen, “Hey, you can’t be on your phone all day, you know.   You’re supposed to be helping me to tidy up.”   

"I'll do it later"

She simply says that she will do it later, but he wants it done now.   She points out that she cannot;  she is going out to see Ethan.

"You do remember your mother's coming home?"

“You do remember that your mother is coming home this afternoon?” he growls 

"That's why I have to go now"

and she says that is why she has to go now.   

"I'll talk to your mother – on one condition"

He promises, “I’ll talk to your mother about Ethan coming over – on one condition – that you stay and tidy up!   

"Start by clearing up that mess!"

“Start by clearing up that mess.”

"A little present from the council"

Then Hywel arrives with his flowers and a welcome home card;  “A little present from the council to wish Ffion well.”   Jinx is surprised that the council has money to spend on flowers.

“How is she?” Hywel enquires and Jinx replies that she is still confused and frightened, but he hopes that coming home will be a big help.   

"If there's anything I can do"

“If there’s anything I can do, just ask,” says Hywel.

"Yes, actually – to help clean up"

Arwen quickly answers, “Yes, actually – help to clean up – here you go!” as she thrusts some cleaning materials into his hand.

Kelly looks at the letter

Kelly is sitting in the Deri and takes another look at that letter;  

"Where has this 'circus' gone, then?"

Cassie asks Kath where the ‘circus’ has gone, to which she was referring.   

"I haven't stopped, have I, Kelly?'

Kath protests, “I haven’t stopped, have I, Kelly?” but Kelly has her mind on other things.

"Listen, Kath, we have to talk"

“Listen, Kath, we have to talk – I know you’re angry that I disappeared and I am at fault for that, but we’re both adults.”   

"Get to the point, then"

Kath is anxious that she should get to the point.   “I haven’t been completely honest with you recently, about where I’ve been going and with whom.”

"You've been taking to Brynmor!"

Kath immediately jumps to the conclusion that she has been talking to Brynmor;  

"No – Hywel"

“No – Hywel.”

"Since when?"

Kath gasps, “Hywel Llywelyn?   Since when?”   Cassie explains that it started when she moved in after the explosion and since then things have not been easy.

"I didn't want to hurt you"

“You’ve been going through the divorce and then there was this business with Mark,” she goes on, “And I didn’t want to hurt you.”   

'I don't need anyone too hold my hand"

Kath is adamant that she does not need anyone to hold her hand or to feel sorry for her.

"OJ and lemonade, please"

Kelly brings her empty glass back to the bar and Kath asks how things are with Auntie Anita;  she replies that they are good and orders, “OJ and lemonade, please,” as she looks at her phone.

"I've been told to wait here"

Siôn returns to where Iolo is waiting with his arm in a sling and informs him, “I’ve been told to wait out here.”   Iolo is sure that the doctor said more than that, 

"I need an x-ray on my wrist"

so it is explained that the scan on Siôn’s head was clear, but he needs an x-ray on his wrist.

"I'm sorry for what I said earlier"

Siôn apologises for what he said earlier;  “No-one enjoys grief – and I’m sorry for suggesting such a thing.”   

"Perhaps I did put a little bit too much pressure on you"

Iolo acknowledges that he perhaps did put a little too much pressure on him to do the test.   

"A little too much?"

“A little too much?” smiles his father.

“Are you sure you just tripped?” Iolo demands 

"I tripped over the bedclothes I was carrying"

and his father confirms that he did, over the bedclothes he was carrying.   

"I think I can manage on my own"

Then his name is called and he thinks that he can manage to go through on his own.

Ffion is back home!

Ffion, in a wheelchair, arrives back at Deri Fawr;  she is welcomed home by Hywel, who has indeed been helping with the cleaning.   

"What's he doing here?"

“What’s he doing here?” snarls Ffion.   Jinx asks whether Arwen is still cleaning her room, 

"She had to go out and get something"

but Hywel replies that she had to go out and get something.

"Is she all right?"

Ffion is anxious because Arwen is not there;  “Is she all right?”   Jinx tells her she will be back in a minute;  

"Let's get you settled on the sofa"

meanwhile, they can get her settled on the sofa.   Hywel will leave now and says that it is lovely to see her home again.

Ffion is confused;  “Does he live here now?”   

"I'll stay with you for a while"

Jinx reassures her, “You and Arwen live here, but I’ll stay with you for a while to make sure you’re all right.”

"I've been to Tamed"

Then the door opens and Arwen returns, explaining that she has been to Tamed to buy Mam a cake;  “I’m so glad you’re home!” 

Ffion is very glad to be back

she says and Ffion gives her daughter a hug.

"How did the chat go?"

In the Deri, Hywel comes to find out how Cassie’s chat with Kath went;   “As well as could be expected,” is the reply.   

"There they are – the lovebirds!"

Kelly comes back from the toilet and remarks, “Oh, there they are – the lovebirds!”   

"She knows!"

Hywel is rather surprised that she knows about them, and Kelly explains that Rhys told her;  

"Top secret, too – kinky!"

“Top secret, too – kinky!”   

Cassie advises him that everybody knows, 

"Not quite everybody!"

but Kath has just come in and comments, “Not quite everybody, Cassie.”

"Can we move on?"

She is told, “Look, sorry for not telling you earlier – and I’ve explained why – so can we move on?”   Kath emphasises that if Cassie is happy, then she is happy.

"I shall go away for a few days"

She proposes that she will go away for a few days to give them both some peace, so that they do not have to worry about her;  “Probably to London for a few days, to see a couple of shows – on my own!   I’m not a little girl, all right?”   Cassie is now in rather a quandary, 

Hywel has an idea

but Hywel has an idea.

"I'm free to leave now, Iolo"

Siôn is now free to leave the hospital, telling Iolo that he just needs to be careful;  

"If I'd hit my head harder . . ."

“Listen, Iolo, all this today has made me think about Alex and the transplant.   I’m so lucky – if I’d hit my head harder, perhaps I wouldn’t be here now.   

"You've changed your mind?"

“Being in this hospital makes me realise how fragile life is – too fragile to fall out and refuse to help people – and that’s why I’m going to talk to my GP and find out about the process of donating a kidney.   

"I can't not do it, can I?"

“I can’t not do it, can I?”

Iolo is quite overwhelmed, exclaiming that Alex will be so happy, 

He hugs his father

and hugs his father.

Ffion is at the kitchen table

Ffion is sitting at the kitchen table when there is a knock at the door;  

Mark comes in

it is Mark, who also has some flowers.   “I’m happy to see you – how are you feeling?”   

"I'm fine"

She replies, rather unconvincingly, that she is fine.

He says that he has brought the flowers to apologise;  “I know I should have gone to the police straightaway, but . . .”

"You tried to kill me!"

Ffion jumps to the conclusion that he was the one who tried to kill her;  

"No, no, no"

“No, no, no – the police will confirm my alibi soon,” but by now Ffion is very upset.   Jinx comes downstairs 

"It was him!   He did it!"

and she wails, “It was him!   He did it!”

"No, it wasn't Mark!"

Jinx tries to explain that it was not Mark – and Mark promises that it was not him, so she cannot understand why the flowers and the involvement of the police.

"I thought you had explained"

“I thought you had explained,” moans Mark 

Ffion wants to know all the truth . . .

and now Jinx has the task of telling Ffion 

. . . and Jinx must explain

the full story of what happened.

"Sit down, Dad"

When they arrive home at Y Felin, Iolo tells his father to sit down;  “I’m going to phone Alex!” he says.   Before he can do that, Siôn says he has not changed his mind, 

"I don't want her to know – yet"

but he does not want her to know that he is considering it – yet.

“In case she’s disappointed like she was with me, is it?” Iolo imagines.   Siôn replies that he is not being thoughtful, but is rather going to talk to the GP first to see if he can help someone in need but that does not mean he wants to have a relationship with Alex.   

"I suppose no-one can force you"

“Well, I suppose no-one can force you,” Iolo concedes.

"I want the whole thing to stay confidential"

“If I am suitable and I can give her my kidney, I want the whole thing to stay confidential.”   

"I don't understand, Dad"

When his son complains that he cannot understand, 

"On my terms – and no-one else's"

Siôn continues, “You don’t have to understand – I’m willing to help, but on my terms, no-one else’s.”

"Honestly, I was in Llanarthur that day"

Mark is trying to convince Ffion, “Honestly, I was in Llanarthur that day – and there are witnesses.”   

Ffion is not persuaded

She is not entirely persuaded, but wonders why this has to do with the police.

"Mark attacked me on the night of the Plygain"

Jinx takes over;  “Mark attacked me on the night of the Plygain,” and she wonders why on earth he would do that.   Mark says that there were several reasons – and he regrets it very much.   Jinx confirms that he has forgiven Mark.

"I've confessed everything to the cops"

“I’ve confessed everything to the cops,” Mark goes on, “And I’m willing to accept my punishment – I’ve been suspended from work.”

Ffion is interested in how long Jinx has known all this;  he replies, “I was waiting for the right time to tell you – it has been a couple of weeks.”

"And you let me think there was a connection"

“And you let me – and the police – think there was a connection between it all?” she demands.   Mark admits that he asked Jinx not to say anything, 

"Go home, Mark – and take your flowers with you!"

so she orders him, “Go home, Mark – and take your flowers with you!   Go!”   He sadly follows her instruction, while Ffion looks accusingly at Jinx. 

"What I have a better offer for you/'

Hywel comes into the Deri, wanting to speak with Kath;  “About that trip to London – what if I had a better offer for you?   A five star hotel outside Brecon, great food, a pass for the spa and everything.”   

"What are you going on about?"

She looks suspicious and demands what he is going on about.   “I just think you and Cassie should have more fun together,” he explains.

"Is this bar going to run itself?'

“And what about this place?   Is this bar going to run itself?” she wants to know, but it appears that he has everything worked out.   

"I've spoken to Geraint"

He has spoken to Geraint, so she does not have to worry about the Deri.   

"How much is this going to cost me?"

Then she is eager to find out how much this is going to cost her.

"It's a late birthday present from me"

“It’s a late birthday present for Cassie from me,” he informs her, so she is sure there must be a catch.   “I just think you should spend a bit more time together – after everything,” he answers, “Well, what do you say?   Will you accept?”

"Does it have a swimming pool?"

“Does it have a swimming pool?” she asks, and upon hearing that it does, adds, “Right – I’ll go and pack, then.   

"You might not be as bad as they say"

“Do you know what?   You might not be quite as bad as they say.”   

High praise, indeed

Hywel regards that as quite a compliment.

"I wanted to check that you're all right"

Kelly visits Y Felin, wanting to check that Siôn was all right;  he says that he is not too bad, 

"Not being able to do anything"

but will have to get used to not be able to do anything.   

Kelly has brought cakes from Anita 

Auntie Neet has made some cakes for him;  he had better go up to bed, as the painkilling tablets are starting to work.   

"Thanks for everything, Iolo"

He thanks Iolo for everything and goes upstairs.

"What are you really where for, Kel?"

Iolo asks Kelly, “Why are you really here, then, Kel?   Do you want a cup of tea?”   

"Have you got anything stronger?"

She enquires whether he has anything stronger and he believes that there are some cans in the fridge.

"This came in the post this morning"

“This came in the post this morning – open it,” she says as she shows him the letter, “A visiting order from Jason – 

"Just when you think life can't get any worse, Iol!"

“just when you think life can’t get any worse, Iol!”

Mark is surprised to see his mother packing

Up in the Deri flat, Mark wonders where his mother is going;  “Brecon for a few days,” his mother replies, “With Cassie.   I need a break from this place – let me know when you hear from the pigs, do you understand?   

"The pigs are taking their time'

“They’re taking their time, aren’t they?”

"I saw Ffion earlier"

He hopes that is not a reason to worry and says that he saw Ffion earlier;  

"You did what?"

“What?   You went over to see her – what for?”   

"I didn't want her to think I attacked her as well"

Mark did not want her to think that he attacked her as well.

“Hold on – you’re telling me now that you’ve spoken to Jinx as well?   

"You've broken your bail conditions"

“You do understand that the pigs will love the fact that you’ve already broken your bail conditions?”

"They won't find out, will they?"

Mark is naïvely confident that they are not going to find out, but Kath shouts, “They’re investigating an attempted murder, Mark!”   He insists that he had to explain himself.   

"What do you want – a medal?"

“What do you want?   A medal?   Let me know when you hear from the pigs – goodness me!” 

"My life is just stress at the moment"

Kelly tells Iolo, “My life is just stress at the moment – and I can’t take any more of it, especially Jason being demanding.”   

"Take a deep breath and count to ten"

Iolo recommends that she take a deep breath and count to ten;  

"Iolo, I could count to 1,000!"

“Iolo, I could count to 1,000 and it would still be the same!”

"Dad's been stressing me out as well"

He can appreciate how she feels as his father has been stressing him out as well;  

"So that's what was wrong with you earlier"

she realises that was what was wrong with him in the village earlier.   He maintains things are OK now, 

"Dad can be so self-righteous!"

“But Dad can be so self-righteous!”

"Try living with Ieuan Griffiths!"

“Self-righteous?   Try living with Ieuan Griffiths!” she groans and he realises that it is not just Jason stressing her out.

"Ieuan is the only stable thing in my life"

“You know what?   Actually, Ieuan is the only stable thing in my life at the moment – he’s amazing with Auntie Neet – he knows exactly what to do and what to say – totally unlike me!”

"You put too much pressure on yourself"

Iolo concludes that she has exactly the same problem as he does;  “You put too much pressure on yourself.   

"Sometimes you have to do what's right for you"

“You always try to do the right thing – but sometimes you have to do what’s right for you and not give a damn about anyone else!   So throw that visiting order away 

"Tell Jason to sort his own problems out"

“and tell Jason to sort his own problems out.”   

She considers what Iolo has said

She considers that advice.

"Just try to understand, Ffion"

“Just try and understand,” begs Jinx, “She doesn’t deserve to lose Mark as well.”

"What about me?"

“Can you hear yourself?” demands Ffion, “You did all this for Dani to ease your guilty conscience!  What about me?   Someone out there tried to kill me!   Do you realise how much time the police have wasted – trying to find a connection between the two attacks?”

"I'm so sorry"

Jinx, tells her how sorry he is, but her mind is made up;  

"Go and pack your things – now!"

“Go and pack your things!” she instructs him, “Now!”

"I'm not living you here with Arwen" 

He maintains that he is not leaving her here with Arwen, 

"Just go – and don't come back"

but Ffion insists, “Just go – and don’t come back!”
