As Dai and Diane are quietly eating their breakfast, Jason and Kelly arrive and explain their lateness by the single word,

and is told by Kelly, “The haircut was the highlight of the holiday.”
It transpires that they have not had a good time; “Well, if staying on a building site in the pouring rain is your thing, I can’t recommend it highly enough!” says Kelly, but Diane imagines that they must have had time to relax.

“The point is, we spent a lot of time worrying about people back home who were injured, in hospital or worse,” Jason explains, and Dai wonders if they need help with the cases,

but Kelly suspects that they may possibly be in Paris.

“What are they doing in Paris?” Dai demands angrily. Anita has taken Ifan to school on her way to work

“Do you know what – I just want a hot shower,” Kelly groans,

When he has left the room, Dai remarks, “Love’s young dream, be damned!”

Gaynor is still staring at her laptop screen, waiting for an answer from ‘Mrs Jones’; Hywel comes downstairs and she says, “Hywel, I know you don’t think this Facebook thing is important, but I need to get to the bottom of it.”

Once again he advises her to simply block the account, but she insists, “I want to know who she is and I want you to help me.” He has already put on his jacket,

He agrees that he does, but that will only show where someone is.

At number 7, Mark is looking at several bills when there is a knock at the door; “I wasn’t expecting to see you today,” he grumbles at his mother.

She demands whether she has to make an appointment to see him.

He moans that the electricity company wants an extra £20 a month, despite the fact that Tyler has gone.
Kath sympathises that the price of everything has gone up;

“Brynmor and I can help you if things are tight,” she says, but Mark replies that he can sort it out.

Mark reminds her that he said it would be more believable to say he was on a fishing trip. “Do you have a cupcake tin?” Kath asks,

and he wonders why he would have one of those. “Perhaps Tyler used to make cakes for Greta – just go and have a look,” she urges him.

Hywel is surprised to see the bookshop with all its blinds drawn and the door locked, so he goes across the road to ask Colin why it is closed.

“Nobody’s been around for days – perhaps Siôn has gone away,” Colin suggests,

and Hywel is angry that there is no note in the window to inform potential customers.

It is obvious to Colin that Hywel has something on his mind; “Well, I want to buy a couple of books,” and he is advised that he could always find something on the Internet.

“I want something for tonight!” growls Hywel, “Sorry, I haven’t been sleeping well recently and I read a little last night, then slept like a baby.”

Colin advises that he needs to keep busy; “Do you have five minutes? I’ve got a little job for you. I need help to shift a few boxes – perhaps I can give you a discount on a couple of magazines to help you sleep.”

At number 9, Cassie is bringing downstairs black bags containing Gwyneth’s belongings, a task which she does not seem to be relishing.

Then she answers the door to find that it is Mark, wanting to borrow a cupcake tin; he wonders if a bomb has gone off in the house,

and is told that Cassie is looking for something for Gwyneth to wear when she is buried.
“I don’t know why you’re so willing to help a murderer, Cas,” he grunts. She says that she would rather do it herself than have other people rummaging in the cupboards,

He explains that his mother is trying to find excuses to come over and keep him company. Cassie is also worried about her, wondering if she is coping without Brynmor.

Britt is on her own behind the bar in the Deri, which appears to be quite busy, and is on the phone when Colin and Hywel come in.

“I’m so glad to see you,” she tells Colin, and when he asks for two pints, she invites him to serve himself and watch the bar, as she has to sort out an MFC delivery.

He protests that he has to be back in the shop in an hour, but she is already out of the door. Hywel says he wanted a word with Dani to tell her what the police said, but Colin tells him she is with Iolo; they have a lot to organise with Tyler’s funeral.

“I heard what she said at the vigil,” Colin continues, “She wasn’t thinking straight. It was grief, you know. You know what you need to do? Shift your mind! A little hobby – have you ever considered yoga?”

Hywel is not enthusiastic, so is asked what he does to relax; “I used to play a bit of golf,” he replies, and Colin considers that perfect.

“Out in the open air – a bit of exercise – something to focus the mind. Why don’t I arrange a game for the two of us?” he suggests. It appears that his only experience is playing Crazy golf, but he asks, “How different can it be?”

Anita comes in through the back door and critically comments, “So this is where you’re hiding.” Kelly points out that she is not hiding, and Anita continues that Jason thought she was on her way to APD.

However Britt protests that she cannot work, as she is supposed to be in MFC today. “You should have thought of that before agreeing to work a shift in the Deri,” she is told.

Britt’s pleas that the delivery boys are waiting at MFC fall on deaf ears, especially when Cassie learns that Colin is behind the bar at the Deri.

“You’d better sort out the delivery boys, so you can go back to the Deri,” Cassie recommends and will not change her plans. “I haven’t had a day off for weeks and I’ve arranged to go somewhere.”

and Cassie advises she is going to see Gwern as Britt is busy, and presumably does not want him to be alone.

Britt demands whether he can do a shift this afternoon – but he refuses, so Britt orders all the customers out of pub, apologising that she has to close today.

she has brought some things for him, but Gwern asks if Britt is coming today. “No, I’ve come instead – I thought you’d be bored with seeing the same old face time after time.”
“She just said that she was going to bring me a phone – mine broke in the crash.”

At APD, Kelly is composing an e-mail of complaint to the holiday company, and invites Jason to listen to the last part. “As the responsibility for the complete ruin of our honeymoon lies solely with you, we demand a full refund. Does that sound good?”

Jason wonders if they will get their money back, but she does not know the answer to that. “It’s worth trying, though, because then we can have relaxing holiday with that money – and take Ifan.”

Cassie promises that he is not a murderer, but Gwern saw him being arrested.

Cassie is very uneasy and takes the approach of a nurse as her excuse to hurriedly leave, assuring him that she will be back soon.
