Rhys comes into his father’s house and is distressed to see what a state it is in; in the kitchen he picks up a chair and wonders what on earth has happened.

“the keys are there. There’s a safe in the office, with money inside. It’s the longest key. I need every penny, OK? Bring it back to me as soon as possible – do you understand?”

Rhys looks rather bemused by the situation,

as Dylan shouts, “Do you understand, Rhys? Please!” and hurries back upstairs.

In the Deri, Garry is emphasising to Cassie, “Dylan shot her!” but she saw him holding the gun.

Garry rages, “He threw a chair at me and the gun . . .”
Dani is speaking to the emergency services on the phone,

"Quiet – I can't hear!" |
and urges him, “Quiet – I can’t hear!” then she continues speaking to the operator,

"Keep her awake" OK" |
“Keep her awake? OK,” as she crouches down by the inert figure of Jaclyn.
Again Dylan comes downstairs, carrying a minimum amount of luggage and puts the bag of drugs into his holdall.

"Have you got it?" |
“Have you got it?” he demands, and Rhys replies that he has not. “I told you to go and get it!” Dylan snarls at him, but Rhys says that he did not explain.

“I need the money now, Rhys!” Dylan screams, and Rhys enquires what he has done to the house. “It wasn’t me, OK?” says Dylan,

The sound of sirens can be heard |
then they hear the sound of approaching sirens; Rhys assumes that they are after Dylan,

"Garry's trying to blame me!" |
and he explains, “Garry shot Jaclyn, and he’s trying to blame me. Look after yourself.”
So saying, he escapes through the back door, and Rhys is still looking very confused.

At APD, Jason asks Izzy what is going on out in the street; “It’s the police and an ambulance!”

She is busy in front of the laptop, and Jason wants to know, “Do you happen to know why people think APD is in difficulties?

"Two customers have asked me this morning" |
“Two customers have asked me this morning what’s going on – they’re worried that we won’t be able to finish contracts. You’ve been chasing customers again, haven’t you?”

She comes up with her usual answer, that people have to pay;

“Although Mathew asked you not to,” he reminds her, but she points out that they could do with the money owed. “No, Izzy, no more!” he instructs her, “I’m asking you to stop now as well, OK?

Dylan has had to go and collect the money from Tapas himself, and looks anxiously along the road. He makes a phone call;

In the Deri, an armed police officer has put the gun in an evidence bag, and reports that the scene is clear for paramedics.

Garry, standing nearby, informs him, “Dylan Ellis shot her – you need to go after him.” The officer tells him to sit down,

and Cassie shakes her head in disbelief.

Mark is looking at the laptop, waiting to be connected to Andrea, then receives a text message on his phone; it is from Colin, wishing him good luck. There is a knock at the front door;

“It’s Andrea – aren’t you going to invite me in?” and after some hesitation,

when he tries to tidy up the place, he tells her to come in.
He apologises, “If I had known you were coming, I would have tidied up a bit,”

but she says that the place looks great, and it is lovely to meet him at last.

He wonders how she got there so quickly, and she replies she has been staying with her sister in Swansea.

“I thought it would be better to come here than meet on a screen,” she tells him, and he is glad she came; it is nice to see her.

In the Deri, DI Wilkinson is hearing from Cassie; “I was on my way back from checking stock. I saw Garry with a gun in his hand, pointing it at Dylan. Jaclyn wasn’t there at that point – I went upstairs to see Dani and the kids.”

The DI enquires what Jaclyn was doing there; “She works here – she’s the chef,” is the reply, “She’s Dylan’s sister – ex-partner of Garry.” Now the DI asks who is Dani,

and is informed, “Garry’s ex-wife – and now partner of Dylan.”

“So, to confirm, you didn’t see Garry Monk fire the gun, but you’re sure you saw the gun in his hand before you went upstairs.” She is perfectly sure of that.

Andrea does not blame them, as his friends are worried about him.

Mark says that she looks amazing, and assumes that is why she went to Singapore.
She replies that one of the biggest conventions in the world is out there; “I go to as many as I can – I love going,” and he can appreciate that, travelling to all those places.

“Are you sure?” she asks, “Because a lot of people think it’s odd.” He assures her that he does not, and is in fact a bit jealous that she has such an exciting life. “I wanted to tell you, because I couldn’t have a relationship with someone who didn’t understand,” she admits, and he is rather surprised by the word ‘relationship’.

“It’s better that people know from the start – so you’re OK with it?” His answer is that he definitely is, and asks if she would like to stay for some dinner, so she can tell him more about this ‘Cosplay’; she would like that.

Megan arrives at Hywel’s house and apologises to Rhys for interrupting; then notices the state of the place and suspects there has been a burglary. Rhys explains, rather unconvincingly, that he is trying to get the place organised. She would like to speak to Dylan,

but is told, “He’s not here – and I don’t think he’ll be back either.”
She is concerned because he borrowed her car this afternoon;

“He said he’d be back soon, but I haven’t heard anything.” Rhys informs her that it looks as if he has taken advantage of both of them, which she finds surprising.

Dani reminds her that they both said the same thing – Jaclyn on the floor, Garry on the floor, a gun next to Garry. “But we didn’t see him shoot her,” Cassie stresses.

Dani snarls, “We said what we saw – end of!” Cassie maintains that Garry’s story rings true; Dylan could have come in, shot Jaclyn and run away.
“Why would he shoot his own sister?” demands Dani;

“That’s your style, isn’t it, Cassie – lying for Garry? The affair with Jaclyn, saying that Dylan had shot him!”

Cassie denies that is a lie, but Dani screams, “Why are you always determined to take his side? You can’t see what’s in front of you – Garry had the gun, not Dylan!

Outside the shop, Colin gives his daughter some free fruit; “Enjoy those – they’re on the house.” She says she has not finished work, as she has lots to do and the business is going well.

“I heard some rumours,” he goes on, but she dismisses them as complete nonsense, stressing that they are working hard to invest in the future.

Megan comes along the street and meets Hywel; she asks if he is going for a game of golf.

“I’ve booked a round for Rhys and me,” he answers, “And I bought these as a surprise for him.”

“Buying his love with gifts, are you?” she asks, “If you want a better relationship with your son, learn to listen to him.”

He moans that it is none of her business,

but Megan counters with, “And Ffion’s abortion was none of your business, but you interfered – no wonder your relationship is like it is! You’ve spent your life punishing poor Rhys.”
“I’m not going to be lectured on raising children by you!” Hywel rages, and Megan protests that her children have got nothing to do with this.

“They’re not saying what has happened, but Dylan is in there, and I saw Garry go in earlier.”

Britt is determined to go inside, but the policeman on guard tells her to stand back;

she shouts at the top of her voice, “Garry, come out here now!” The officer tells her to quieten down.

Rhys is approaching the shop when his father comes out with the bottle of wine; he turns to walk away,

“Is that what you think, or what Megan’s put in your head?” Hywel demands, and Reese simply walks away.

Jason comes in through the back door of Bryntirion, looking fed up, and initially does not notice Kelly, sitting quietly;

she assumes that he has had a bad day. “Izzy – she doesn’t listen to anyone!” he complains,

Kelly deduces that Izzy is still chasing debts;

“Colin was saying in the shop earlier that you’re bankrupt,” and she snarls that is exactly why she needs to stop. “But if people aren’t paying their bills, Jase,” she continues, but he assures her that people do pay, and they had a system which worked fine until Izzy stuck her nose in.
“So you want to pay somebody not to do their job?” Kelly enquires;

At Maes-y-Deri, Mark is doing the washing-up as Andrea suggests, “I think you’d make a good dwarf! I’m a Wood Nymph, you see, so we’d make a good pair, and we could play on the same team.”

Garry tell her that they think he shot Jaclyn, and Britt wants to know what she should do.

He instructs her, “Find Dylan and phone me!”

Both she and Aled watch as the police car is driven away.
