As they stand outside the front door of Cysgod y Glyn, Kyle says, “Say something,”

| "I don't know what to say" |
but Eleri is lost for words. “It’s not like you to be speechless,” he goes on, “Is it all right if I come in?”

| "Why did you cheat in the exam?" |
Iolo is back at Y Felin; “I’ve just spoken to the school – why did you cheat in the exam?”
 |
| "She didn't cheat" |
Indeg interrupts to say that Lleucu did not cheat, so he points out that it is none of her business.
“She doesn’t have time to talk – she’s having a makeover,” Indeg insists.

| "You out and leave us alone!" |
Iolo orders her to go out and leave them alone – now.
 |
| "Tell me exactly what happened" |
Then he sits down and asks Lleucu, “Tell me exactly what happened.”
 |
| "You want me to come back in a quarter of an hour?" |
Kyle cannot believe that he is being asked to come back in a quarter of an hour,
 |
| Garry is watching |
meanwhile Garry happens to be approaching and takes an interest in this conversation.
 |
| "What am I supposed to do?" |
Kyle wants to know what he is supposed to do in the next quarter of an hour,
 |
| "Cwmderi is a pretty place" |
so she suggests that he could go for a walk, as Cwmderi is a pretty place, to stretch his legs after the flight.
 |
| Garry continues his surveillance . . . |
Garry keeps a low profile so that he can witness what is going on,
 |

being rather surprised to see Eleri kissing the stranger.
 |
| "See you in a quarter of an hour" |
She smiles, “I’ll see you in a quarter of an hour.”
 |
| "What's going on here, then?" |
Garry wants to know more about this man.
 |
| "I have to go to Brynawelon" |
Back inside Cysgod y Glyn, where Jinx suggests that they could go to Sri Lanka, Eleri comes up with the excuse that she has to go to Brynawelon; “One of the residents is ill and the family is making a fuss.”

| "I'll tidy up, then" |
He assures her that he will tidy up there while she is gone, but she is insistent that he should leave everything;
 |
| "You've got a lot of painting to do" |
“You’ve got a lot of painting to do, remember – so I’ll see you tomorrow.”
 |
| "Forgotten something, have you?" |
He leaves, and Eleri starts to do some tidying, then hears the door open, assuming that Jinx has forgotten something. However, it is Garry,

| "No – I live here" |
who replies, “I haven’t forgotten anything – I live here.”
 |
| "You can't stay here tonight" |
She informs him that he cannot stay there tonight, so he naturally wonders why;
 |
| "The guy you just snogged coming over?" |
“The guy you just snogged is coming over, is he? Can I ask who he is?”
 |
| "Forget what you saw" |
She orders him to forget what he saw and to disappear; Now he really wants to know and she promises that she will tell him everything tomorrow,
 |
| "I want you to go now" |
but just wants him to go now. She is looking very anxious.
 |
| "This is serious, Lleucu!" |
Iolo shouts, “This is serious, Lleucu! They’re even discussing suspending you from school!” She wants to know if he has spoken to her father.
 |
| "He's disappointed" |
“Of course I’ve spoken to him – and he’s disappointed.”
 |
| "This is the last thing he needs" |
Lleucu groans that this is the last thing he needs – and now Iolo has to sort it out. Iolo says that her father is worried and cannot understand why she did this.

| "Because I was a stupid idiot" |
“Because I was a stupid idiot who only thinks about herself – it’s true, Iol – I’ve spoiled everything for everyone.”
 |
| "You're welcome to join me" |
Ieuan comes along the wet street and meets Indeg, telling her that he has been to Brynawelon and fancies a drink; “You’re welcome to join me – we could have dinner as well.”

| Kyle is looking around the village |
Unfortunately, Indeg has a date later, which she describes as nothing serious but just a bit of fun. In the background, we can see Kyle looking through the window of MFC.

| Rhys comes out of number 21 |
Then Ieuan sees Rhys coming out of number 21 and invites him for a drink.
 |
| "Beer and a curry" |
“How about a boys’ night? A beer and a curry – what do you say?”
 |
| "Sorry, I'm working at Ceffyl Du" |
Rhys is sorry, but he is working at Ceffyl Du and his father has taken Gaynor to the airport, which Ieuan had completely forgotten about, giving the excuse that he is busy and that APD does not run itself.

| Iolo hurries to the school |
Iolo arrives at the school, where Greta has been waiting for him,
 |
| So this is 'Mr Handsome' |
accompanied by her teacher, ‘Mr Handsome’.
 |
| "I'm so sorry, Greta" |
He apologise profusely for his lateness, so she demands where he has been. When told that he was busy with work,
 |
| "We'll be late for gymnastics" |
she exclaims, “Again? Come on, Dad – we are going to be late for gymnastics.”
 |
| "Why is your Welsh so good?" |
Now the time is up and Kyle is allowed inside Cysgod y Glyn. Eleri wonders why his Welsh is so good and he explains that he has had plenty of time to practise.

| "You live here?" |
He does not appear impressed with the flat, which she describes as small but homely.
 |
| 'I can't believe you're here" |
“You always had the eye for choosing apartments, remember? That warehouse conversion we had in Queens. I can’t believe you’re here – I’m so happy to see you again.”

| "You haven't been in contact" |
“Are you? Because you haven’t kept in contact or been to see me.” She maintains that he knows why she kept away; she did not want to draw attention to herself –
 |
| "I've thought abut you every single day" |
“But I’ve thought about you every single day – I’ve thought about this a lot – our first day back together.”
 |
| "And so have I" |
He says he has done the same

| Eleri backs away from him |
as he walks towards her and she backs away;
 |
| She has an expensive bottle of wine |
“The first thing I dreamed about doing is opening an expensive bottle of wine, like we used to do on our weekends off.”

| "It's not wine I want" |
He comes straight to the point, “It’s not wine I want,” so she argues that he cannot turn down the bottle which she has, adding that rushing things is not very romantic.
He reminds her that he has waited three years,

| "Another hour won't make much difference" |
so she suggests, “Another hour won’t make much difference, then, will it? Go and freshen up – the bathroom is first on the right, while I pour out the wine.”
 |
| "This is another silly idea" |
As Lleucu is being given her makeover, she regards it as another silly idea; “I don’t like wearing make-up.”
 |
| "It always makes me feel better" |
Indeg says that a makeover always makes her feel better and she forgets the stress of the day.
 |
| "I don't think I can forget about that exam" |
“I don’t think I can forget about that exam,” Lleucu groans.
Indeg does not consider exams to be important; “They are when you fail!” she is told.
 |
| "Gorgeous or what?" |
“No-one will laugh at you when they see the lush photos I take of you,” Indeg assures Lleucu., “Gorgeous or what? You look beautiful, babes – smile for the camera.”
 |
| "Who is he?" |
When Kyle returns from the bathroom, he demands, “Who is he? The man who lives with you – who is he? The bathroom is full of aftershave and cologne.”

| "Garry, my lodger" |
“His name is Garry, my lodger. Things haven’t been easy since returning from the states without you to support me.”
 |
| "What happened to the money?" |
 |
| "What about the bank of daddy?" |
“What about the bank of daddy?” he asks, while Eleri simply wants to discuss the two of them.
 |
| "How long are you staying?" |
She is keen to know how long he is staying;
 |
| "Direct, as usual" |
“Direct, as usual,” he comments,
 |
| "I want you back in New York with me" |
“I do love you and I want you back with me in New York.”
 |
| "You've had 97 'likes' already" |
Indeg informs Lleucu that her new photos have had 97 ‘likes’ already; “I said you looked gorgeous. I’m going out to meet Jordan – it’s better than watching telly, because he was nine out of ten for looks, remember?”

| "You're still seeing Ows" |
Lleucu is still convinced that she is seeing Ows,

| "I've 'unfriended' him" |
once again is assured that Indeg has unfriended him on the socials.

| "Greta's having dinner with Dad" |
Iolo comes in and tells them that Greta is having dinner with his father.
 |
| "What's going on?" |
He can detect that there is some tension between them,
 |
| "I'm going to meet Jordan" |
so Indeg repeats, very pointedly, that she is going to meet Jordan.
 |
| "What was that all about?" |
When she has gone, Iolo demands what that was all about; “It didn’t look or sound like nothing –

| "Tell your favourite cousin what's worrying you" |
“so come on, tell your favourite cousin what’s worrying you.
 |
| Jinx looks at his painting |
Jinx is in Ceffyl Du, looking at his painting on the wall. Rhys is surprised to see Uncle Ieuan coming in and wonders what is wrong with the Deri.

| "Apart from Kath going on" |
“It’s quiet, apart from Kath going on and on about Colin going to Thailand without Britt.” He will have a pint and offers to buy Jinx one.

| "Yo might as well get him one as well" |

| "What would I want from you?" |
“What would I want from you?” wonders Ieuan.
 |
| "I'm surprised you're not with Eleri" |
Garry sides up to Jinx; “I’m surprised you’re not with Eleri – you’re usually like her shadow.”

| "She had to go to Brynawelon" |
It is pointed out that they do spend time apart and at present she had to go to Brynawelon.
“What’s going on?” Garry adds and Jinx maintains that she is conscientious and takes her work seriously.

| "Well, if I were you . . ." |
“Well, if I were you, I’d go over there to check she’s telling you the truth.” This makes Jinx suspicious.

| Kyle is getting amorous |
As Eleri is about to wash up the glasses, Kyle comes up behind her;

| "You want to stay here, don't you"?" |
“You want to stay here – I know you. Can’t you be honest with me?”
She suggests that he does not know her as well as he thinks she does,
 |
| "We should go as soon as possible . . ." |
“Because I think we should go to New York – today, tomorrow, as soon as possible –
 |
| ". . . because I'm bored" |
“because I’m bored here in a two-bit job in an old people’s home.”
“What happened to the job with daddy?” he asks and she replies that she got bored with that as well.
“You know what I’m like when I’m bored!” He thinks that he can remember, which is why he cannot wait to go home.

| "Or we could go upstate" |
She suggests, “Or we could go upstate, like you’ve always dreamed of. Live by the mountains, just you and me – we could get a dog to start with.”
Kyle wants to start looking for flights right away; Eleri maintains that she cannot wait,

| "But first I have to slip out . . ." |
“But first, I have to slip out to talk to the owner of Brynawelon –
 |
| ". . . I can't resign by text, can I?' |
“because I can’t resign by text, can I?
 |
| "Make yourself at home" |
“Make yourself at home.”
 |
| "What's this down the sofa?" |
He puts his feet up, then discover something down the side of the sofa –

| Garry's phone |

| Garry realises he does not have it |
At that very moment, Garry, in the brewery, is about to pay for another round, but cannot find his phone. Rhys points out that he could pay cash; “What? Somewhere trendy like this?”

| "Can I borrow the pictures" |
Jinx asks if he can borrow the pictures up on the wall; “I’ve got an exhibition in a few months.
 |
| "An exhibition? You?" |
Garry regards this with incredulity; “An exhibition? You?”
 |
| "What's your problem with me and Eleri?" |
“Yes, me – Eleri thinks my work is excellent. What’s your problem with me and Eleri?”
 |
| "Just pulling your leg" |
Garry maintains that he is only pulling Jinx’s leg,
 |
| "We understand each other" |
but Jinx is convinced that he and Eleri understand each other.
 |
| "Providing Ceffyl Du gets a plug!" |
Rhys says that he is welcome to borrow the pictures, providing Ceffyl Du gets a plug. Jinx turns to ask Ieuan if he wants another one,

| Ieuan is concentrating |
but he is engrossed in his phone.
 |
| "You've been playing on that since you got here" |
“You’ve been playing on that since you got here,” but he tries to tell them he has been checking his messages.
Rhys is convinced that he is playing a game,

| "As if!" |
so he answers in the words of Indeg, “As if!”
 |
| "We've all d0one something stupid over boys" |
Iolo assures Lleucu, “We’ve all done something stupid over boys.” She says she just wanted to look more mature. “In the hope that he’ll have more interest in you?”
 |
| "I really thought Ows was special" |
“I really thought Ows was special!” Iolo agrees that is a mistake they all make, that the first is special.
 |
| "I still do silly things" |
He confesses that he still does silly things over boys, like joining the PTA committee.
 |
| "Good way to spend time with Mr Handsome" |
He thought it would be a good way to spend some time with Mr Handsome.
 |
| "He's straight" |
“I don’t know what you’re interested in him – he’s straight,” Lleucu declares.
 |
| "According to Indeg's 'gaydar' . . ." |
Iolo points out that according to Indeg’s ‘gaydar’ . . . “And you believe her?” sneers Lleucu.

| "I'm more than happy to ask them to leave . . ." |
“All right, if having Indeg here is making you unhappy, I’m more than happy to ask her and Siwsi to move out –

| ". . . it's up to you" |
“it’s up to you, OK?”
 |
| "Is everything all right at Brynawelon?" |
Jinx opens the door to find Eleri outside; “Is everything all right at Brynawelon? Do you want a cup of tea? Or wine?” he asks.

| "I just want a cwtch" |
She is obviously very worried and tells him that she just wants a cwtch;
 |
| "Why don't you talk about it?" |
he invites her to talk about it, whatever it is, but she does not know where to start.
 |
| "Is everything all right between you and Garry?" |
Jinx enquires, “Is everything all right between you and Garry? I saw him in Ceffyl Du earlier and all he did was stir.”
Now Eleri is desperate to leave, maintaining that she had better get back to Brynawelon; “I’ve got a lot to do.”
 |
| He hands her a key |
He offers her a key to the house, “So you can come in when you get back – I’ve got a spare one.”
 |
| "I'm sorry for spilling your night" |
She takes the key and then apologises to him for spoiling his night and leaves the house.
 |
| "Kelly – are you here?" |
When Ieuan gets back to number 7, he calls to ask if Kelly is there; as there is no reply, he takes off his coat,

she finds Garry chatting to Kyle; he tells her that he lost his phone, and that they have been unable to find it. “Well, you had better look somewhere else, then,” she advises.

| "Eleri's told me a lot about you" |
“Nice to meet you, Kyle – and, like I said, Eleri has spoken a lot about her husband.” They are looking forward to a pint together.

| "He's a nice guy" |
When Kyle describes Garry as a nice guy, she snarls, “When he wants to be!”

| "Yo can start looking for apartments" |
Then she has a surprise for him, “A ticket back to New York, flying tomorrow, so that you can start to look for apartments for us – I’ll ping it over to you. I haven’t got a ticket,

| "I have to stay a couple of weeks" |

| "I don't believe you" |
It appears that Kyle has not been taken by this; “I don’t believe you.”

| "It's been a long three years, so . . ." |
“Like you said earlier, it’s been a long three years, so . . .”
