"Where are we going, Eleri?"

The door of number 9 opens and, as Jinx comes out, he is asking Eleri where they are going, but she refuses to divulge this information, or even to give one little clue.

Lleucu has been posting to social media

Lleucu has been taking photos of herself and posting them on social media.

"She's pretty"

Indeg sees this and points it out to Siwsi, who describes Lleucu as pretty.   “A pretty colour lipstick, because it’s mine!” snarls Indeg,

"The shade is Midnight Blossom"

“The shade is Midnight Blossom – and mine is missing.”

"Remember what I said about keeping them sweet"

Siwsi reminds her of what she said about keeping Iolo and Lleucu sweet, but Indeg exclaims, “I paid 30 quid for that!”   Siwsi is sure that Lleucu was only experimenting, but Indeg call it, “Totally naïve!”

Lleucu is listening . . .

Lleucu has been listening to this from the top of the stairs;

. . . and then leaves the house

she comes down and refuses any breakfast, then leaves the house.   “Do you think she heard?” wonders Indeg.

"You've got a lot of sucking up to do"

“Looks like it – so you’ve got a lot of sucking up to do, haven’t you?”

"They're both healthy – her and the little BOY"

Gaynor has gone to the MFC flat to inform them, “Lois has broken her arm and twisted her ankle, but otherwise they’re both healthy – her and the little BOY .”

Colin is delighted to hear that she is having a boy;

"There's a little Colin on the way!"

“Oh, Britt, there’s a little Colin on the way!” he laughs.

"Grandad is happy now"

Britt can see that grandad is happy now and he suggests that they should go out to lunch to celebrate.

"I need to pack"

“I can’t because I need to pack,” Gaynor tells them;  Britt is surprised that she is still going,

"I've paid for my ticket – and so have you"

but Gaynor has paid for her ticket – as has Colin.

"What's the point when everything's all right?"

Britt is sure that he will not be going now;  “What’s the point when everything is all right?”

"There's not much to keep me in Cwmderi"

Gaynor maintains that there is not much to keep her in Cwmderi at the moment;  “I might as well go to Thailand and make sure Lois is resting like she’s supposed to.

"It would be silly to have go back there again"

I’m not sure when I should be home, but it would be silly to come home and then have to go back to meet the little one.”

Britt tells her to give Lois a big hug from them,

"You might as well cancel your ticket"

then tells Colin that he might as well cancel his ticket now;  “I hope you can get a refund because you’ve spent a fortune.”

Colin looks very troubled

Colin is looking very uneasy.

The boys are laughing . . .

At the school, several of the boys are laughing at something on a phone,

. . . and Lleucu realises that . . .

which Lleucu discovers, to her horror,

. . . it is at her

is the photo she posted.   At that moment the bell rings

"All your phones in the box"

and the teacher emerges to instruct them all to deposit their phones in a box, as they are only allowed to have writing equipment.

Lleucu stuffs hers into her pocket

Lleucu quickly hides away her phone

"I left it in in my locker"

and, when challenged, alleges that she left it in her locker, which the teacher regards as very sensible.

"You don't mind, do you?"

Colin has gone to Llwyncelyn;  “You don’t mind, do you?”   Gaynor will be delighted to have him to accompany her, but now he has only one little problem.

"I have to tell Britt I'm going"

“I have to tell Britt that I’m still going to Thailand.”

"Didn't you talk to her first?"

Gaynor is surprised that he did not talk to her first, but he says that he was afraid that Gaynor would not agree.   Hywel arrives, announcing that the taxi to the airport is waiting, so Colin hurries away.

"I thought we could have lunch on the way"

Hywel is early, because he thought they could stop for some lunch on the way, but she insists she should pay to thank him for the lift.   He cannot understand why she is only taking one small case, so she explains, “If I need anything, I’ll buy it in Thailand.”

Gaynor conducts a last-minute search

will make a last minute check that she has everything that she needs;  she picks up her bag

Llwyncelyn looks very empty

and looks around the house, which appears remarkably empty, then leaves.

"Stop going on about that flippin' lipstick!"

As they walk along the High Street, Siwsi urges, “Stop going on about that flippin’ lipstick!”   Indeg moans that it is her favourite shade and the shipping from Korea cost her a fortune;  it matches half her wardrobe.

"Well, wear something from the other half"

Siwsi recommends that she uses something from the other half of the wardrobe.

“I want to look stunning tonight,” she goes on

"Second date with Jordan, is it?"

and Siwsi realises that she has a second date with Jordan from Trimsaran.   They hide in the shop when they see Eleri approaching through the alley.

"I can't fill a gallery on my own"

Jinx is complaining, “I can’t fill a gallery on my own!” but she insists that of course he can.   “I’ve got one picture – of you,”

"You have a collection called 'Gwendraeth'"

but she reminds him that he has an entire collection called ‘Gwendraeth’.

"The pictures have to be good"

“But if I’m exhibiting for a month, the pictures have to be good!”   Eleri is sure that he could ask Rhys to borrow other ones from Ceffyl Du.   He comes to the conclusion that he will have to paint new ones – loads of new ones, “And this exhibition opens in less than two months!”

"It only took you five minutes the other night"

She reminds him that it only took five minutes to do that sketch of her the other night, but he points out that painting is a different story.   “Why did you book a gallery for me?”

“You said it was your dream,” she replies, “Come on, I’ll make some lunch.”

"I don't have time to eat"

He maintains that he does not have time to eat.

"I love you when you're panicking"

“I love you when you’re panicking,” she comments.

They are still making fun of Lleucu

In the classroom, the students all sit in silence, except for the one who turns around and makes a face at Lleucu.

"You have exactly two hours"

At one o’clock, the teacher announces that they can turn over their papers and have exactly 2 hours.   However, Lleucu has other things on her mind,

"You can start now, Lleucu"

so she is given a personal reminder that she can start.

Lleucu is in turmoil

She appears to be in a very nervous state.

"We could have gone a little further, Hywel"

As they come into the Deri, Gaynor is under the impression that they could have gone a little further before stopping.

A celebration in the Deri

An impromptu party has been cobbled together to wish her Bon Voyage.

"We had to organise something"

We couldn’t let you go without organising something,” says Hywel.

"Dry sausage rolls and stale crisps"

Mark says that there are dry sausage rolls and stale crisps;  Cassie is unable to be there but has left a leaving present for Gaynor, which Mark describes as, “A couple of her dirty novels to keep you busy on the flight.”

'Rhys wishes you good luck"

Rhys also wishes her good luck.

"There's something I have to tell you"

Britt and Colin come in, with Colin wanting to tell her something before they join in the celebration,

Britt is attracted by the bubbles

but Britt is too interested in getting at the bubbles on the bar and is sure that it can wait.

"Cheers to you, for letting Colin come"

They drink a toast to Gaynor, who says, “And cheers to you, Britt, for letting Colin come with me,” then realises, “I thought you would have told her by now.”

"You're still going to Thailand?"

Britt demands, “You’re still going to Thailand?”   He points out that it is only for a fortnight.

"And you've told everyone before telling me?"

“And you’ve told everyone else before telling me?”   He argues that he has been trying to tell her.   “You haven’t tried hard enough, then, Colin Evans!”

Lleucu's mind is elsewhere

In the exam, Lleucu cannot resist the temptation

She looks at her phone . . .

to get out her phone and look at it,

. . . but nothing escapes Ms Lewis's attention

but this is immediately noticed by the teacher, who instructs, “Lleucu Rossiter – out!

"You've been caught cheating – out!"

“You’ve been caught cheating – out!”

Lleucu is humiliated

The rest of the class laughs as she slinks away.

"I won't be able to eat for the next two months"

Jinx feels unable to eat and maintains that he will not be able to eat for the next two months.

"You need your stamina – to paint!"

Eleri tells him, “You need your stamina – to paint!”

"Just cancel the gallery"

He wants her to just cancel the gallery, but she responds that she cannot do that.   “Why?   Have you already paid?”

"I don't want you to miss an opportunity"

“Because I don’t want you to miss an opportunity.”   He accuses her of joking, so she insists, “You’re one of the most talented people I know – I was just trying to do something nice for you.

'Perhaps I feel a bit responsible"

“Perhaps I felt a bit responsible, you know?   Helping Garry to come back to Cwmderi – and then he takes The Pizza Place away from you.”

"Why are we watching this?"

Siwsi wonders why they are watching a film and is told by Indeg, “Because he’s hot and she’s going to fall for him.

Lleucu comes in

Lleucu arrives back in a very upset state,

"I'm fine"

although she insists that she is fine.   They can see that she has been crying, so they demand what is the problem.

"Was the exam difficult?"

“Was the exam difficult?”   Indeg is sure that she ‘smashed’ it with those brains, but Lleucu confesses that she did not finish it.

"I got thrown out!"

I got thrown out – for looking at my phone.”   Siwsi enquires why she was looking at the phone;  “I just wanted you to look at the photos I put on Instagram.”

"With the beautiful lipstick?"

“Those gorgeous ones with the beautiful lipstick?” says Indeg, but Siwsi cannot understand why she had to look at it during exam.

"Everyone was making fun of me"

“Everyone had been looking at them and they were making fun of me – then I couldn’t think of anything else.

"I am naïve – and stupid!"

“You’re so right – I am naïve – and stupid!”

She rushes upstairs

She rushes upstairs.

"I'm angry because you didn't tell me!"

Britt explains, “I'm not angry about you going – I’m angry because you didn’t tell me!”

"You took it for granted'

He points out, “Once we heard Lois was all right, you took it for granted that I was staying home.   All right, I’ll cancel all the arrangements –

"Eileen's not too keen, anyway"

“Eileen’s not too keen on me taking time off at the last minute anyway.”

"Why do you think about everyone but me?"

“Why do you think about everyone but me?   Gaynor, Lois – OK, but Eileen?” rages Britt.

"Not now, Eileen"

Colin refuses the offer of a sausage roll.

"I will be coming back, you know"

Mark asks whether Gaynor will miss Cwmderi;  “Perhaps, a little bit, but I will be coming back, you know, once the baby’s arrived and everything's settled down, then I’ll come home.”

"She'll end up in Thailand, you'll see"

Kath is under the impression, “Once the baby’s arrived, you’ll fall head over heels in love with him and you’ll want to stay.   She’ll end up in Thailand, you’ll see.

"We have to go"

Hywel is sorry to spoil the party, but announces that they have to go;  Britt says that Colin has not packed yet,

"I have packed, actually"

but he admits that he has, actually and again checks whether she is happy for him to go.

“Well, as there’s no refund, there’s no point wasting the money – but I want a present – and an expensive one!”

"The most expensive present – guaranteed!"

He promises her the most expensive present from Bangkok.   Mark reminds him to take some clean pants.

Siwsi is off for her night shift

Siwsi tells Lleucu that she has to go to work now, but they will have a chat in the morning.

"You're sophisticated and iconic"

“I’m sorry for calling you naïve,” says Indeg, “You’re not naïve at all – those gorgeous photos prove that.   You’re sophisticated and iconic.”

"Don't be nice to me"

“Don’t be nice to me,” groans Lleucu, but Indeg insists she means it.

"I stole your lipstick"

“I stole your lipstick,” confesses Lleucu.

"Tell me why and you can keep it"

“Tell me why and you can keep it – come on, Lleucs.”

"Because I want to look like you"

She does not know, “Because perhaps I want to look like you – I feel stupid saying it,

". . . you get loads of 'likes'"

“but you’re so pretty, so popular, you get loads of ‘likes’.”

Indeg answers that everyone wants loads of ‘likes’,

"Perhaps you just wanted one 'like' – from Ows?"

but suggests that perhaps Lleucu wanted just one ‘like’ – from Ows.

"He's bad news for both of us"

“You need to forget about him – trust me, babes, he’s bad news for both of us.”   She goes upstairs and leaves Lleucu alone.

"I haven't been on holiday for a while"

Jinx and Eleri are settling down on the sofa;  he remarks that today has been full of surprises.   She has been thinking, “I haven’t been on holiday for a while and there’s so much of the world I’d like to see –

"China, `Japan, India, perhaps?"

“China, Japan, India, perhaps.”

"I don't think you'd like India"

Jinx has been to India and does not think she would like it;  “It’s noisy and busy,” but she reminds him that she has lived in New York.

"Three aren't any elephants and camels in the middle of the road there"

“Yes, but there aren’t any elephants and camels in the middle of the road there,” he explains.   She continues that she would like to see the Taj Mahal with him.

"Ignore it"

The door buzzer, which has changed its tone since last time we heard it, sounds, but Jinx tells Eleri to ignore it, although she thinks that it might be important.   “More important than you and me here, discussing holidays?” he demands.

Colin is ready to go

Outside the Deri, the car is waiting for the arrival of Colin, who says that he could not find his trunks.   Hywel insists that they are cutting it rather fine now and Gaynor does not want to miss this flight.

Mark hugs Gaynor

Mark gives her a hug, while Colin asks if Britt is all right about him going;

"We'll talk when you get back'

she says that she understands that he wants to see Lois and they will talk about it when he gets back.

“Get a move on, Colin!” urges Hywel,

Colin gets into the car

so he gets into the car, which drives away.

"Don't you think it's a bit odd?"

Kath asks Mark, “Don’t you think it’s a bit odd that Colin didn't tell her he was going?   Has he mentioned any problems?”

"That's how stories start, Mam"

Mark tells her to be quiet, warning that is how stories start.

"Come back in and have a drink"

Meanwhile Britt has been walking disconsolately along the road, so Kath calls her back;  “Come back in and have a drink – there’s nothing worse than going back to a empty house – come on.”

"Get one of those round the world tickets"

Continuing their conversation, Jinx insists that they do not have to go to just one country, so Eleri suggests that they could take a year off.   “Yes, get one of those round the world tickets,” which she stipulates has to be business class.

"If you sell one of your pictures"

“If you sell one of your pictures,” she adds.

"That wouldn't payoff a taxi to Carmarthen!"

He maintains that one of those would not pay for a taxi to Carmarthen.

"Why do you always put yourself down?"

Eleri demands, “Why do you always do that?   Put yourself down – you do it all the time.   You need to stop doing that and start believing in yourself –

"Like I believe in you"

like I believe in you.”

"It's those kids!"

Then the buzzer sounds once more, so she assumes that it is kids

She goes down to give them an earful . . .

and goes downstairs to sort them out.

. . . but there is no-one to be seen

She opens the door and looks along the road, but there is no one about.

"Hello, love"

However, when she turns around, a stranger is standing there, who says, “Hello, love.”

"Kyle – what are you doing here?"

“Kyle!” she exclaims, “What are you doing here?”

"I had to come over to see my wife"

“Early release, for good behaviour – so I had to come over to see my wife.”

Eleri really was not expecting that

Now she is looking really worried.
