Kelly has had some sleep

Next morning, Kelly comes downstairs;  Ieuan is sitting in the kitchen.   She asks him where Auntie Neet is

"She's one for a walk with Diane"

and he replies, “She’s gone out for a walk with Diane.”

“Has Diane heard anything about the power of attorney?”

"It should be activated within a fortnight"

Ieuan answers that she has and it should be activated within a fortnight.

"There's another decision we need to make"

He adds that there is one final decision that they need to make, is there not?

Mark notices something across the road

Mark is back to being a postman and is on his round in the High Street;  as he crosses the road, apparently attracted by something on the other side,

"It's cute, isn't it?"

Britt calls after him, “Hey, Mark, I saw that earlier – it’s cute, isn’t it?”

"That's me there!"

A little knitted tableau has been placed on top of the pillarbox, with Mark coming to the conclusion that he is represented there.   “Of course it is – who else would it be?” laughs Britt and he wonders who put it there.

B suggests her has a secret admirer

She does not know that. but imagines that whoever it is must like him a lot;  “Or perhaps more than just ‘like’ you!   Secret admirer.”

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

As they walk along the road with the pram, Cai asks Liv, “Are you sure you want to do this?”   Liv replies that it is rather late now to change her mind, as they have packed everything.

"I think it will be good for everyone"

“I think moving back to Y Felin will be good for everyone,” she continues and he hopes that will be the case.   “Have you heard from Lleucu?” she enquires, and he says that he has not;  he is not sure whether that is a good or a bad sign.

They too look at the pillarbox decoration

Then they reach the pillarbox, which is still being admired by Mark;

"That's me there!"

“That’s me there!” he boasts.

"My favourite biscuits and everything"

Kelly, with her injured lip, sits at the kitchen table and Ieuan brings a plate of biscuits.   “My favourite biscuits and everything,” she remarks.

"I haven't dealt with things in the bast way"

He just wants to apologise;  “I know I haven’t dealt with things in the best way recently.”

"You can say that again"

Kelly agrees wholeheartedly with that, but he continues, “We’ve had to make some difficult decisions –

"I was trying to protect your feelings"

“I was trying to protect your feelings, you see.”

Kelly looks across at him and informs him that she is a big girl now.   He asks how her lip is healing and she says it is fine;

"She wasn't trying to do it, was she?"

“Auntie Neet wasn't trying to do it, was she?   But I now know that we are not the best people to look after her – and this isn’t where she’s supposed to be.”

"Colour it in carefully, mind"

At the MFC flat, Dani tells Gabriel to colour in his picture carefully, because she will be checking.

"Thanks for letting us stay"

Then she thanks Britt for letting them stay, which she hopes will not be for long.   “Mark says that Maes-y-Deri will be ready in a few weeks.”

"We're glad to have you"

Britt assures her that there is no hurry and she is glad to have them;  “Gwern and Gabs don’t mind sharing a room, do they?”

"Dyff has offered Gwern a job"

Dani reveals that Gwern is not with them, but has stayed in Spain for a while, anyway.   Dyff has offered him a job and he is really enjoying himself there.

Britt is sure that she can sort out Gwern’s shifts in the shop and can see that Dani is not quite herself;

"I'm not feeling too special"

“I’m not feeling too special,” she admits, “Could you watch Gabs while I have a lie down?”

"Shall we go to the park?"

Britt proposes that she and Gabriel could go to the park, something which he seems eager to do.

"If the cash runs out"

“I know there’s a chance we’ll have to move her out of Brynawelon if the cash runs out –

"You've seen how much she's deteriorated . . ."

“but you’ve seen how much she has deteriorated in the last few months, says Kelly,

". . . but she's still Auntie Neet"

“But she’s still Auntie Neet – and I’m really scared that if we move her miles and miles away, we’ll just miss out on precious time with her, because we won’t be able to see her as much as we’d like.”

"Yes, it's such a risk"

Ieuan appreciates that it is such a risk;

"I know I'm asking a lot"

“I know I’m asking a lot, but Cwmderi is Auntie Neet’s home – and this will be a massive change for her.

"It's a massive change for us as well"

“But it's a massive change for us as well – and we need to be close to her.”

"How did you get on?"

Cai and Liv arrive back at Y Felin, where Iolo asks how they got on;  “Gwyds went straight off to sleep in his old cot,” is the reply.

"I expect he was glad to be home"

Iolo imagines that he was glad to be home, and Liv thanks him once again for letting them stay there.

“Look, I’ll go for a walk, so you can unpack,” he says,

"I thought you'd be at school"

but at that moment Lleucu walks in.   Cai had assumed that she would be at school.

"Well, I'm not!"

“Well, I’m not,” she abruptly answers, “Don’t start trying to act like a good father – it doesn’t suit you!” she snarls.

"We have to find a way of living together"

He insists that they have to find a way of living together, but she disagrees;  “We don’t, actually – I won’t be here long, I’ve just come home to pack.   I’m moving out –

"You've put her before everyone and everything else!"

“because you’ve put her before everyone and everything else!”

Liv interrupts to say that the last thing she wants is for them to fall out,

"Go back to where you came from!"

so Lleucu offers her solution;  “Give Iolo the baby, go back to where you came from and I’ll stay!”

Cai tells Liv not to listen to what she says, and Lleucu adds, “You’ve just proved my point about who comes first for you.”

"I'm going to pack!"

She goes upstairs to pack.

Dani is concerned about something . . .

Dani puts something down on the table at the MFC flat and looks exceedingly worried;

. . . that thing on th table

the camera zooms in on the small blue and white object.

Anita is back home . . .

Ieuan escorts Anita back from her outing;

. . . but does not recognise Kelly

she does not appear to recognise Kelly,

"When will Kelly be back?"

then turns to Ieuan and asks him when Kelly will be back.

"Why don't we watch a film?"

She makes her slow progress to the sofa to sit down.   “Why don’t we watch a film with a big bag of popcorn this afternoon?” he suggests,

Kelly goes to shut the doo

as Kelly goes to shut the door.

Dani looks at the device . . .

Dani is still anxiously pacing up and down, then looks at the device on the table, which appears to give bad news;

. . . which gives her unwelcome news

it clearly displays the word ‘Pregnant’

Has she never heard of contraception?

which is not what she wanted to see.

She makes a call

After a moment’s thought she picks up her phone and dials a number.

Cai has just come into Y Felin when he hears his phone sounding, but it has stopped by the time he picks it up.

Cai sees the text

He sees a terse message there, ‘Phone me!’, but before he can do anything about answering it,

"Where's Gwyds?"

Liv comes downstairs, demanding, “Where’s Gwyds?”

She is told that Iolo has taken him for a walk;

"Is it all right if I move a few things?"

she wonders if it will be all right if she moves a few things around in her room, or whether she should check with Iolo first.

"He invited us back here"

Cai maintain that is not necessary as he invited them back there;  she again expresses her regret about what happened with Lleucu, but is assured that it is not her fault.

"What happened between you and Iolo?"

“What happened between you and Iolo last week?” Cai asks, “You’ve been acting very oddly.”

She does not reply

As she does not reply,

"All right – I'll ask him, then"

he says that he will have to ask Iolo;

"Last week I bought heroin"

she has to explain, “Last week I bought heroin.”   Cai is very disappointed.

Mark tells Dani about his 'tribute'

Mark appears to be very proud of someone’s tribute to him and tells Dani,

"It must have taken hours to make"

“It must have taken hours to make – you don’t realise the effect you have on people sometimes, do you?”

He asks how his father is in Spain and is told that he sends his regards.   Mark spoke to him on the phone yesterday;

"He said Gwern was better than you behind the bar"

“He said Gwern was much better than you behind the bar – are you OK, Dan?   You look a bit pale.”

She maintains that it is just a dodgy stomach and probably something which she ate.

"Britt thinks I've got an admirer"

He goes on to tell her that Britt thinks that he has an admirer;  “I’ve been through everyone it could be, but I’m not sure –

"Apart from one person – Ffion"

“well, apart from one person – Ffion – she’s always had a soft spot for me.”

Dani enquires whether he has seen Cai today;  “No – you haven’t seen him since coming home, have you?   Some odd things have been . . .”

Suddenly Dani rushes off

but before he can get any further, Dani has to rush off for some reason, which he finds rather puzzling.

"Everything got too much"

Liv explains, “It took everything I had to say no, but last week everything got too much.”

"But you didn't take anything?"

Cai checks for confirmation she did not take anything.

"Something in here was desperate for me to take it"

She answers, “Something in here was desperate for me to take it – and that will always be there – Iolo knows that!

"Iolo said he would tell you everything"

“He said that if I didn’t move in here, he would tell you everything.   I couldn’t take the risk of losing you – I can’t do it on my own.

"I'm so sorry for letting you down"

“I’m so sorry for letting you down – and I’ll understand if you don’t want anything to do with me,

"I couldn't live with Iolo looking over my shoulder"

“but I couldn’t live like this with Iolo looking over my shoulder!”

"You've faced your biggest enemy"

Cai tells her, “Having drugs in your hand and being able to reject them – that says a lot.   You’ve faced your biggest enemy – you’ve got nothing to be afraid of now.”

"Iolo is the enemy!"

She regards Iolo as the enemy;

"There's a lot you don't know about Iolo"

“Yeah, well, there’s a lot about Iolo that you don’t know,” Cai enigmatically informs her.

"Large vodka, please"

Lleucu comes into the Deri, where Mark is behind the bar and orders a large vodka –

Mark ignores her

“OK, fine – orange juice.   Since when have you been working here?”

"I don't have much choice"

He says that he is staying there so he does not have much choice.

"Dad, Liv and the sprog have moved back in"

“At least, Kath wants you here – I’ve moved out of Y Felin, because Dad, Liv and the sprog have moved back in.”   Mark
finds that surprising and asks what Iolo has to say about it.

"He'd do anything to be close to Gwydion"

“He’ll do anything to be close to Gwydion.”

Mark discloses that Dani was looking for Cai earlier, but he was not sure what to say;  “What’s going on, then?”   Lleucu confesses that she is a totally confused herself, “But it’s as if Dad is completely obsessed with Liv.

"He's fast asleep"

Iolo arrives home with the pram and cheerfully advises Liv that Gwydion is fast asleep;  she complains that he does not usually have a nap at this time.   “Well, he is today” she is told.

"I'm his mother and I'm in charge!"

Cai has gone to get pizzas for dinner and Liv stresses that they had a routine with Gwyds;  “And as I’m his mother, I’m in charge!”

"I'm the one keeping your dirty little secret"

He replies, “Right, but I as I’m the one keeping your dirty secrets, you can’t tell me what to do,” he says, full of self importance.

"You'd never take drugs, would you, Mr Perfect?"

“Because you’d never take drugs, would you, Mr Perfect?”

He was not expecting that

He is somewhat taken aback by this, commenting that he is going to wash Gwydion’s bottles.

"I've told Cai everything"

However, before he can do so he is informed, “I’ve told Cai everything.”

“Do you expect me to believe that?” sneers Iolo,

"You can believe what you like"
but she tells him he can believe what he likes.

“He was proud of me – for actually stopping myself taking it.   Do you think you would’ have been able to do the same, if you had, say, prescription drugs in your hand.   Cai told me everything.”

"It's complicated"

Iolo’s expression changes, although he maintains that Cai does not know everything and that it is complicated.

"Once a junkie, always a junkie!"

She reminds him of what he said;  “Once a junkie, always a junkie!   Are the rules different for you?”   This leaves Iolo speechless.

"Is there something wrong with your Dad's phone? . . ."

Dani comes into the Deri, where Lleucu has hardly touched her orange juice, asking if there is something wrong with her father's phone.

". . . he not answering me"

“He’s not answering me.”

Lleucu is reluctant to say anything, simply recommending that it would be better if she just talked to him.   “I'm asking you, Lleucu.”

"He's helping to look after Liv's baby"

She reveals that he is helping to look after Liv’s baby – after she took him back.   Dani cannot understand what that has to do with Cai.   “I don’t know, but he and Liv are bringing up Gwydion together.”

"Why would he do that?"

Unless he is the father, which Lleucu denies, Dani cannot understand why he would do that;

Mark is keeping out of this

she is determined to find him.

"You're just a mess, like everyone else!"

Liv has gained a lot of confidence as she berates Iolo, “You’ve always intimidated me with your perfect house and your perfect life – but you’re just a mess, like everyone else!”

"I've been a good father to Greta"

He protests that he has been a good father to Greta and Liv agrees with that;

"You've done everything I couldn't do"

“You’ve brought her up to be an amazing, happy little girl – you've done everything I couldn’t do when she was born.   But I can do it now.   I would never take Greta from you, but I’ve got another chance with Gwydion – and I’m not going to let you make me doubt myself!

"I'm going to live here, just like you wanted me to"

“I'm going to live here, just like you wanted me to – and I’m going to force you to watch me bring him up and do an amazing job!”

He cannot think of an answer to that

She appears to have ‘demolished’ Iolo,

She is glad that it went so well

so he leaves the house.

"Our wedding day was perfect, wasn't it?"

As they sit at number 7, watching the television, Anita begins, “Our wedding day was perfect, wasn’t it?

"I'm so lucky to have you"

“I’m so lucky to have you.”   Then she gets up from her seat and goes across to Kelly.

"I want too wear my wedding dress when I have dinner"

“I want to wear my wedding dress when I have dinner tonight.”

"You were right – her place is in Cwmderi"

She heads towards the stairs, while Ieuan tells Kelly, “You were right – her place is in Cwmderi.”

"Right, up we go"

Kelly assists Anita upstairs.

They walk back with the pizzas

After collecting pizzas from Jinx’s shop, Liv and Cai are walking back towards Y Felin;

"It felt amazing to say that!"

she tells him that it felt amazing to say what she said to Iolo.   “There wasn’t much he could say,” and she thanks Cai.

They are being watched

Dani watches them as she stands outside the shop, then quickly goes into the alley.

"No-one's ever shown any faith in me before"

“No-one’s ever shown any faith in me before,” Liv goes on, “Or stuck around after I’ve messed up – you’ve made me a mother – and I’ll never be able to thank you enough.”

"Don't upset yourself"

They stop near the war memorial, where there is a clear line of sight from the alley.   Cai tells her not to upset herself, but continues to insist that she is incredible.   “Thank you was seeing that I’m worth something,” Liv says, “Everyone else would have run away after hearing about the heroin, but you didn’t.”

Dani is keeping an eye on them . . .

By this time, Dani is watching them from the other end of the alley

. . . as Liv kisses Cai . . .

as Liv gives Cai a brief kiss

. . . and he gives her a somewhat unenthusiastic hug

and he hugs her,

"Right, let's get these pizzas home"

but quickly suggests that they get home with the pizzas.
