Anita is sitting at number 7 and obviously her mind is far away, as the kettle is whistling on the gas hob. Kelly rushes in, shouting to her, but she does not respond.

"Can't you hear that?" |
“Can’t you hear that , or . . .” Kelly asks and finally Anita realises what is going on, apologising repeatedly.

It’s all right,” says Kelly

"What the are you leaving?" |
and Anita asks what time she is leaving.

"I don't think I shall go . . ." |
You know, I don’t think I’m going to go, Auntie Neet,” is the reply. She is reminded that she said she needed the break.

“But not now – not until you – we – have answers.” Anita points out that it might be a long time before they get answers, but Kelly is determined.

"That would hurt me a lot more" |
“If you changed your plans, it would hurt me a lot more, knowing that you’re staying here because you’re worried about me,” argues Anita, “I do enough of that.”
Kelly still insists that she wants to be here for her aunt; “You are here – and you will be – always.

“You’re only at the other end of the phone anyway – and I’ve got Ieuan as well. What time are you flying?”

"2:15 — if I go!" |
Kelly replies that it is at 2:15; “If I go!” but Anita insists that there is no ‘if’ about it. Kelly is going and will be the first on that aeroplane.

Then Anita resumes her worried look.

Iolo comes into the deli and congratulates Dani and Jinx on their news; “How are you, bride to be?” he asks.

"I have to go and open up" |
Jinx hopes that no-one is listening and says that it is time for him to go and open up The Pizza Place, telling the two of them to enjoy their brunch.

You’ve got a good egg there,” Iolo tells Dani, “It’s nice to see you. Look, I know things haven’t been easy between you, Cai and Dad . . .”

“Am I doing the right thing, marrying Jinx?” she asks Iolo and he enquires whether he makes her happy, pointing out that is exactly what she needs – a little excitement, a little happiness – and Mimosas.

Gwern is at the brewery, checking the specific gravity of a brew; as he dips his finger into it to check the taste,

and he in turn asks what she is doing there. “I just wanted to check that you’re OK.”

“As if you care!” he snarls.

She tells him to grow up and is sorry that she bothered to ask, then walks out again.

At APD, Mathew and Jason are looking at some paperwork; “Where did you get the money?” Mathew asks, but Jason will not answer, simply pointing out that Mathew has been paid.
Ieuan walks in, asking if they have a spare fleece; “Where’s Anita? Caught the travel bug in Scotland, has she?” Mathew asks. Ieuan is willing to step in if necessary.

Gwern walks in, demanding, “What do you want?” Cai suggest that he should go out and try that again. “Miss Williams said you wanted a word,” Gwern goes on.

Gwern cannot believe that he is serious. Cai continues, “I have a duty to check how you’re doing.”

He walks out of the office and slams the door.

Anita is at her doctor’s appointment; she is given the good news that her blood pressure is normal and the doctor asks what exactly brought her there today.

“I don’t know where to start,” says Anita, “I haven’t been sleeping well for a while now – it’s trouble staying asleep, I think. I’ve been having these dreams and they’re so real –

“nightmares, some of them – and when I wake up, it takes a little while to accept that they haven’t really happened.”

"You have had sleeping pills before" |
The doctor notes that she has had a prescription for sleeping pills before, but Anita stresses that she has not taken them for quite a while now. She will be given another course of sleeping pills for a month, see if they help.

"How do you feel during the day?" |
“Apart from the sleep, do you feel fine otherwise? During the day?”

"I can't concentrate" |
Anita replies that she cannot concentrate, which she assumes is caused by the lack of sleep.

“It happens as you get older, doesn’t it? And I had an accident a few months ago in the car – no one was injured or anything like that, but I think it was related to the lack of concentration.”

a CT scan will be organised to make sure there is nothing going on that they are not aware of. Anita looks rather worried about this.
“Was there anything else? Any other symptoms that you’re worried about?” the doctor asks,

but Anita refuses to mention anything else, although not looking very convincing.

Eleri is in the Tomos ac Ellis office when Jinx comes in; “Seeing you twice in one day – I am a lucky woman!” she exclaims and congratulates him again.

“Who do you think you are?” he demands, as he moves closer to her, then, rather inadvisably, kisses her.

Ieuan is looking very troubled at APD and when Mathew comes in, asks him what the big emergency is. “A job last week got the wrong tiles and they need the right ones as soon as possible!” Mathew tells him. Ieuan grumbles that they could have waited for Anita in that case.

Then he confesses that the real reason he is worried is that Anita might be ill. “She can’t remember things – she’s imagining things – and hearing things as well.

“You’re supposed to be in Portugal!” gasps Anita, but Kelly announces that she is not going.

She has spoken to Eleri and cancelled the holiday; “I’m staying for as long as you need me,” she insists, “What did they say?”

The door bursts open and Ieuan comes in; he is also surprised to see Kelly, but is told, “I’m not going without knowing my favourite Auntie is all right.”

Anita tells Ieuan, “She said she thinks the lack of sleep is responsible – and she’s the doctor. She’s put me on sleeping pills for a month.”

"And you told her all the symptoms?" |
“And you told her all of your symptoms?” asks Ieuan, to which she replies that of course she did. Kelly regards this as a good thing and wonders if she said anything else.
“I’m going for a scan in a couple of weeks – just in case,” Anita adds; both Ieuan and Kelly think that sounds very positive.
