Kelly has put the finishing touches to her placard, which reads, ‘Gambling is not Fun’, but Anita warns that she cannot be there, as she will be working in APD.

Then Anita advises her that Jason will not be there either. There is a knock at the door,

and Kelly immediately asks Siôn if he will be there today; he agrees that he will be, but is there to see Anita.

“If this is about Bethania,” she snarls, but he assures her that it is not; he saw that she is selling her house

and hopes that she will go out of her way to sell to a local family.
“We don’t need a holiday home in the middle of the village,” he stresses,

and she reminds him of the holiday home which the pair of them have. He is quick to reply, “As you know, the local family renting it love it – and we could have charged an exorbitant rent,

and as Kelly smiles, he maintains that Griffiths knows the answer to that. He stresses that his conscience is clear, and hopes that she will feel similarly after selling the house.

“That sounds lovely – what have I done to deserve it?” Ffion wonders; he replies that they can have a nice evening and can catch up. She is looking forward to it as she returns to school.

In the Deri flat, Dani is in rather a rush,

and Dylan says that she looks stunning; “I’m meeting with the tutor and I want to make an impression,” she tells him, “I’m really nervous – Jinx is looking after the eldest children after school – Gabriel is sleeping, but he will be awake soon,

“so can you take him to the park?” She dashes out of the door and Dylan smiles.

As Tyler moves a galvanised watering can outside APD, Anita arrives, and he thought she was working from home today, but Jason has forgotten all of the receipts which were left in the van.

Then Mark comes along, and Tyler is not surprised that he is tired this morning; “You were in and out of the toilet all night.” Mark explains that he drank too much,

he admits that he does not feel too special this morning either.

and when Anita comes out of APD to where the van is parked in order to retrieve the receipts, she hears a trickling sound;

she is angry to see that Mark is relieving himself against the wall.

“You can’t do that there – it’s disgusting!” she shouts,

and he apologises profusely that he was bursting, before hurriedly continuing on his post round.

Ffion is sitting at her office desk at school when Cai comes in with some bad news;

“We need to finish the standards report by tomorrow – I got the dates wrong.” Ffion cannot do that tonight, as she has plans; “Better then being stuck in an office with me?” he enquires.

She agrees that it is better; “Jinx is making a curry,”

"You ought to thank me for saving you from that!" |
and Cai maintains that she ought to thank him for saving her from that. He suggests that she can phone for a takeaway,

but she insists, “Come on, the sooner we start, the sooner we can go home!”

Jinx is hard at work at Cysgod y Glyn when Dani hurries in after her appointment; “I haven’t heard a peep since I gave them a film and bag of popcorn,” he says.

Dani is enthusiastic about the way the meeting went; “The tutor is lovely – the people on the course are lovely – but I was just too nervous.”

Jinx advises that sometimes it does us good to do things that scare us. Dani hopes that she will make some friends there, and asks what he is doing,

and whether he has a date.
“Perhaps,” he replies. “Well, I hope so.” Dani is intrigued, but he will not reveal who it is.

At that moment he receives a text message from Ffion, informing him that she has to work late, which he finds very disappointing.

He asks if Dani will look after Arwen for an hour until Siôn picks her up, and she agrees, if he will tell her who the mystery person is, then reveals that she is joking. She will continue there with her studies.

Dylan again comes out of the Deri, pushing the pram; he takes a photo of Gabriel,

remarking, “We have to prove to Mam that we’ve been out.” Megan comes out of her shop nearby and says that she is glad she has bumped into him.

“I want to offer my condolences – I was very sorry to hear about Jaclyn,” then she looks at the baby;

Dylan is very aware that he does not deserve anything from Megan, and he walks away.

Rhys thinks he has secured a sale |
Rhys is sitting on the sofa in number 10, studying his phone and looking rather smug when Siôn and Iolo come downstairs; “That front room would be perfect for Greta,” says Siôn.

"There has been a lot of interest" |
Rhys encourages them, “It’s a great family home in size and location – I don’t think it will be on the market long – there has been a lot of interest.”

Siôn queries whether this interest is from local people, but Rhys cannot reveal that. What he will say is, “Cwmderi’s a popular place to come on holiday.”
Iolo says that the house is great; “But what isn’t great is the price.”

His father wonders whether there is any chance of lowering it a bit, and Rhys knows that Anita would like to sell it to a local.
“But I’m not sure what if she would give her ex a discount,” he chuckles.

Iolo protests that he is buying, not his father. Now Rhys has received a message, summoning him to a meeting. “I’ll leave you to talk it over – Bring the keys back later.”

Siôn will probably have more questions by then; “Perhaps we’ll have an offer.”

"We? I'm buying this place!" |
“We?” demands Iolo, “I’m buying this place – I’m not even sure if I’ll get a mortgage.” His father is sure that he can help with that, but Iolo is adamant, “Don’t take over! If I’m going to do this, I’ll do it by myself.” Siôn is very anxious that he does not lose it.

His father points out that there is nothing wrong with killing two birds with one stone

As they sit together in the office, Cai suggests that he could put the growth graph there as evidence, but Ffion points out that they would need the statistics table as well. “I’ve already done that!” he boasts, “Say it – that you’re impressed.”
She is not impressed at all, but angry that she is still in the office; he continues, “You know I like it when you’re angry.”

She warns him not to talk to her like that as she is his boss, and that he did not say that after all that trouble with Arwen.

He admits that perhaps he overreacted, and she gasps, “Are you apologising?”

He argues that he could ‘make it up’ to her, and as they look into each other’s eyes,

However, at that very opportune moment Jinx arrives with a basket; “Seeing that you have to be here late . . .” There he stops,

“Sorry, I thought you were working!” he continues,

as Ffion maintains that is what she is doing. “I’ve brought you something to eat,” he says, rather deflated.
“What’s in the basket? It smells terrible!” says Cai; Ffion tells him to go and finish the report somewhere else,

and on his way out of the room, Cai advises Jinx, “If I were you, I’d stick to a jar next time.”

“How many more times does he have to prove to you that he’s a dog?” Jinx demands,

but Ffion argues that it is up to her what she does and who she does it with.

“You’re right – enjoy yourself,” he says and is about to walk out of the office.

She wants to know why he is there, and he says that he wanted to talk to her;

“I wanted to tell you . . .” but then changes his mind. “Everything’s champion – see you later.” Ffion appears rather puzzled by this.

The grand opening is approaching . . . |
Outside the former garage, preparations are in hand for the grand opening of Sioned’s new venture; a curtain has been erected over the office door.

“Oh, the big protest has arrived,” laughs Sioned, and Kelly promises is that more are on the way. Sioned is pleased to see her mother there, and offers her some bubbles.

DJ asks if Sioned is ready; “Not quite – let them wait a little longer,” she replies.

At Bryntirion, Anita has told Griffiths about the incident behind APD, and he too is disgusted, describing Mark as a “Dirty swine!”

Anita says that she just had a bit of a shock, and he cannot think of anything worse; she reports that Mark ran away before he had a chance to say anything.

Mark arrives in apologetic mood |
There is a knock at the door and Anita finds that it is Mark, with a bunch of flowers;

Griffiths remarks, “Here he is – the Cwmderi Flasher!”

Mark makes an abject apology, “But I couldn’t help it.” Griffiths proudly boasts that he has managed to stop himself peeing in public since he was in nappies. Mark points out that he has a water infection, but Anita is inclined to believe that he drank too much.
“I know what I did was wrong,” he pleads,

but Griffiths is determined to take the matter higher and will make an official complaint;

he orders Mark to leave and to take those ‘weeds’ with him, before he changes his mind and goes to the police as well. He threatens that it is all on CCTV.

Outside the garage, Kelly suggests that they could barricade the door, but Rhys wants to see what it is first.

Dylan is preparing the vegetables when Megan arrives in the Deri flat; she is sorry to disturb him.

He is rather touched by this, and she encourages him that things will get better as she leaves.

At number 7, Colin is outraged at hearing about the incident behind APD; “What came over you, Mark?”

He explains that he could not have made it home and it was bursting, and Tyler mentions that he has been getting up a lot in the night. Mark is convinced that there is nothing wrong with him – just drank too much last night.
Tyler is now off to town to meet a couple of the boys, and is asked not to make too much noise when he comes home;

She is by no means happy about the situation;

“You could have told me about the shop,” and he replies that Sioned and he wanted to keep it as a surprise. “Oh, you call stealing my customers a surprise, do you?” she snarls.
He is sure that it will not affect her business;

“We don’t sell the same produce as Cae Glas.” She reminds him of her shop around the corner, and he says that it was too good an idea to pass up.

It reads, ‘Welcome back’, and he snatches it down, looking very troubled.

but is stopped in his tracks when he hears Cai’s voice from the bedroom, urging her to come back to bed.

She wants Jinx to finish what he was saying,

“Why not him?” she answers, and as she returns to the bedroom,
