| "It might not be any of my business, but . . ." |

![]() |
| "Well, you and your note can go back to work" |

![]() |
| "What if Arwen saw you here– again?" |
“What if Arwen saw you here – again?” He answers that she is at school,
![]() |
| "Are you coming in or what?" |

At Bryntirion, Kath giving Diane the juicy details, being careful to add, “As I said, I don’t believe those rumours myself – but I didn’t want you to hear it from anyone else.”

![]() |
| 'I've brought these for Dai" |
she invites Siwsi in and is given the packet of Garibaldi biscuits. Then Siwsi can see that Kath is also there.

| "Is it true you were sacked?" |
“The last time you worked as a carer, is it true you were sacked for stealing from clients?”
![]() |
| Siwsi is speechless |
Siwsi is initially lost for words.
![]() |
| "This coffee's a bit weak" |
Val complains that the coffee is rather weak, assuring Lleucu, “I’ve got a new machine in the kitchen – you can have a strong espresso every morning.” No-one makes any comment, so she assumes that they are waiting for Ffion,
![]() |
| "She has a meeting at school" |
but is told that she has a meeting at school.
![]() |
| "She's talking less sense than usual" |
“Have they let her go back already after that bang on the head?” Val demands, “She’s talking less sense than usual!”
![]() |
| "We might as well go now" |
Still silence, so she proposes that if they are not waiting for anyone, they might as well go now.
![]() |
| "I don't want to move back to North Wales" |
Lleucu informs her, “I don’t want to move back to North Wales,”
![]() |
| "Don't be so silly!" |
so her grandmother tells her not to be so silly. “I’m serious, Gran – I don’t want to leave Cwmderi.”

![]() |
| "Come to the car – or I'll drag you out!" |
“So you either come to the car like a good girl, or I’ll drag you out!”

| "Are we going to stay here all afternoon?" |
Ffion is asking, “Are we going to stay here all afternoon?”
![]() |
| "Do you have anything better to do?" |
Tom enquires whether she has something better to do, so she succumbs with no further argument.
![]() |
| Mark's message arrives |
Her phone sounds, with the message from Mark, but when she reaches across to get the phone, Tom tells her to leave it. “What if it’s Arwen?” she says,
![]() |
| "We have another hour at least" |
but he maintains they have at least another hour before she gets back.

![]() |
| "I hate the fact we have to sneak around" |
“I hate the fact we’ve got to sneak around like this, hiding, ” Ffion complains.
![]() |
| "Perhaps one day we won't have to" |
“Perhaps one day we won’t have to,” he answers, but she insists that is not true,
![]() |
| "You're marrying Gaynor, remember?" |
as he is marrying Gaynor, so they will have to put a stop to this some time.”
![]() |
| "Kill Gaynor and steal all her money" |

![]() |
| "I'll drive the getaway car!" |
Joining in with what she believes is a fantasy, Ffion suggests, “I’ll sort out some new passports for us and drive the getaway car,” which he considers sounds like a plan.
![]() |
| Siwsi shows Diane the exonerating evidence |
Replying to Diane’s accusation, Siwsi shows an email on her phone from the company she worked for, apologising to her. “I’ve never stolen anything – an old grandmother made an accusation.

Diane insists that they could not sack her without any proof,
![]() |

![]() |
| "They are offering you the job back" |
Diane does not blame her and is told that the apology came after they found the rings. “They are offering you your job back,” Diane points out,
![]() |
| "I left Cwmderi for a while" |
but Siwsi left Cwmderi for a while after that, as she just needed a break.
“Then the job in APD came up, so I contacted a care agency to see if I could have a few shifts – not the same agency, don’t worry. I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you,”
![]() |
| "You have nothing to apologise for" |
but Diane insists that she has nothing to apologise for,
![]() |
| "I understand if you don't want me to come back" |

![]() |
| ". . . and I also need you" |
plus, in any case, Diane also needs her.

![]() |
| "That doesn't mean you can control her life!" |
Colin makes it very clear to her that being her grandmother does not mean she can control Lleucu’s life.
![]() |
| "I know what's best for her!" |
“I know what’s best for her!” shouts Val.
![]() |
| "You haven't been down here once to help!" |
Colin shouts back, “You hardly know her – Lleucu’s had a very difficult year – and you haven’t been down here once to help!”
![]() |
| Lleucu sits between the two warring factions |
The shouting match continues, “Look here, I can’t jump in the car every time there’s a drama in this little village, can I? Just because I don’t text or phone it doesn’t mean I’m not there for her!
![]() |
| "You know that, don't you, Lleucu?" |
“You know that, don’t you, Lleucu?”
![]() |
| "You've never been there for me" |
Lleucu is not sure that she does; “You’ve never been there for me – I didn’t even get a text when Dad went to hospital.
![]() |
| "The people in this village are more my family" |
“It’s the people in this village who have supported me and helped me. They’ve been more of a family to be than you’ve ever been.”

She gets up and marches out of the house.
![]() |
| . . . much to the jubilation of all concerned |
They all breathe a sigh of relief,
![]() |
| "Result!" |
with Colin laughing, “Result!”
Kath is behind the bar in the Deri and remarks, “Oh heavens, three times in one day.”
![]() |
| "You couldn't wait to spread that rumour" |
Siwsi does not want a drink, but wants to talk to Kath; “You couldn’t wait to share that rumour with Diane.”
![]() |
| "That's not gossiping" |
Kath maintains that she felt Diane should know about the rumours, just in case, which she does not regard as gossiping.
![]() |
| "Are you sure?" |
“Are you sure? Because if you ever hear something about me again, ask me about it first, OK?
