Sioned is folding clothes when she hears the front door open;

it is Mathew, who says he is sorry to disturb her and asks if it is OK to go upstairs. “I need to get a few things and find some clean clothes.”

| "I hope you didn't expect me to wash them" |
“I hope you didn’t expect me to wash them for you – I’ve got enough to do,” is her reply. She notices his bandaged hand and wonders what has happened.

| "I cut it on a piece of glass" |
He says that he cut it on a piece of glass at work, but it is nothing serious.

| "Is there something you want to tell me?" |
“Is there something you want to tell me?” is Sioned’s next question.

He asks what she expects him to say;

| "You and Rhys – have you slept together?" |
“You tell me – you and Rhys – have you slept together? I know how it sounds, but I have to ask you.”

| Mathew sighs incredulously |
Mathew sighs incredulously and simply walks out of the room, much to her consternation.

| Ieuan is late for work again |
At number 7, Ieuan rushes in and grabs his briefcase, loading his laptop into it.

| "Want a cup of tea?" |
Kelly offers him a cup of tea, but he cannot accept as he is running late.

| "I'm sure Anita would like one" |
“I’m sure Anita would like one,” he adds, as Kelly enquires if there is any news about the portrait.
“No,” he groans, “Anita didn’t want to talk about it this morning,” then notices that Kelly is looking very smart.

| "Business meeting at the Glyndwr" |
“Business meeting,” she proudly announces, with the Glyndwr – they e-mailed to ask for an informal chat to discuss the possibility of Y March Gwyn being a food option at weddings.”

| "Do you have a business plan?" |
Ieuan is very pleased to hear that and asks whether Kelly has a business plan.

| "No – just an informal chat" |
Now she is worried; “No – informal chat – that’s a casual conversation, isn’t it?” He maintains that there is no such thing in business.
“Ieuan, I was feeling really confident until you piped up!” Kelly moans,

| "I feel like I'm walking into Dragons' Den, like!" |
“Now I feel like I’m walking into an episode of ‘Dragons’ Den’, like! Thanks a bunch!”

| Siwsi has a cashflow problem |
At APD, Siwsi is looking on her phone at her bank balance, which currently stands at only £1.89.

| "Any chance of a few more shifts?" |
When Mathew comes in, she asks him if there is any chance that she might have a few more shifts or a few more hours.

| "If anything changes, I'll let you know" |
He replies that there is nothing at the moment, but if anything changes he will let her know.
Then Ieuan arrives and is informed that he is late;

he replies that Kelly needed his expert advice

| "How about come coffee from Tamed?" |
and immediately proposes that he should get some coffee from Tamed.

| "You've only just got here" |
“You’ve only just got here,” Mathew complains, but Ieuan argues as it is pay-day today, they should celebrate.
“How does a flat white with a shot of caramel sound?” proposes Ieuan, so is allowed ten minutes. Mathew objects to both of them going,

| "I can't carry them all on my own" |
but is told that Ieuan cannot carry them all on his own, reminding them that they are here to work, then, with his injured hand,

| Mathew drops boxes on the floor . . . |
manages to drop a lot of boxes of screws,

but still insists that he is fine.

“Perhaps an iced bun will put a smile on his face,” hopes Ieuan.

In the Deri flat, Cassie tells Kath, “Iolo thinks that it will take him until mid afternoon, so we’ll have to open late today.

“I thought you and I could go out this afternoon.”
Kath is not in flavour of this and tells Cassie to go on her own; “I’m not wasting the day looking at your miserable face, all right?

| "I'll do your shift tonight" |
“So come with me now and I’ll do your shift tonight – deal? I’ll even buy you lunch, if you’re lucky.” Kath realises she actually does not have much choice

| "If he steps out of line, just tell me" |
In the deli, Mark tells Siwsi, “If he steps out of line, just tell me, right?”

| "I'm the perfect boss" |
Ieuan takes exception to this, maintaining that he is the perfect boss, but Siwsi corrects him, reminding him that he is only a ‘colleague’. He insists that he is duty manager – and even treats Siwsi to a sponge sometimes,

| "Always choose the most expensive ones" |
Mark advises that she should always choose the most expensive one.

| "When does my pay get into the bank?" |
Siwsi enquires when the pay should get into her bank. “It depends on your bank, it might not be there until midnight,” Ieuan replies.

Then his phone rings, and he will have to answer it, so tells Siwsi to pay and he will repay her later.
Of course this is rather difficult with the current state of her bank account.

She tells the shop assistant that she has changed her mind and does not want one of the cakes.

| "I just want to know what Mathew told you" |
Now Sioned has gone to number 21, where she tells Rhys, “I just want to know what Mathew told you yesterday.”

| "I didn't see him yesterday" |
He tries to maintain that he did not see Mathew yesterday.

| "I saw you going into Ceffyl Du together" |
“That’s odd – I saw you going into Ceffyl Du together.” He wonders why she asked, in that case. “Why did you lie?” Sioned demands.

| "You'll have to ask him" |
“Look, if you really want to know, you’ll have to ask him – I’ve had enough of being stuck in the middle!” complains Rhys.

| "You've slept together!" |
Now it is blatantly obvious to her that something has happened between them; “You’ve slept together!”

| Rhys laughs at this suggestion |
Rhys bursts out laughing

| "Right – you're off your head now!" |
and exclaims, “Right – you’re off your head now!”
“Perhaps I am and perhaps I’m wrong,

| "You haven't given me a better explanation" |
“but you haven’t given me a better explanation about all these secrets!” Sioned warns him, “What’s going on, Rhys? I’m not going anywhere until I get answers!”

Once again, he tells her, “It’s not my place to say.”

| "Like I said, I'm not going anywhere" |
She, in turn, repeats, “And like I said, I’m not going anywhere,” as she sits down on the sofa.

| Kelly's meeting seems to have been encouraging |
The scene shifts to the Glyndwr, where we see Kelly emerge from her meeting; “Right, well, I’ll look forward to working with you soon – hopefully,” she says.

On her way through the hotel, she fancies a drink,

| . . . then notices someone |
but as she walks in, she notices a familiar face.

| "Business meeting or date?" |
She asks Brynmor, “Business meeting or a date?”

| "They're half an hour late" |
He says that it is supposed to be a business meeting but they are half an hour late.

| "I'm really excited" |
Kelly is full of confidence and informs him that his her business meeting went really well and that she is excited.

| "Am I allowed to ask why?" |
He wonders if he is allowed to ask what the exciting news is;

“Y March Gwyn is going to be in the food options for weddings here! I know it’s not a big deal for a big shot like you, but it’s huge for me!”

He agrees that it is a big deal, adding that it is something to celebrate;

| "The hot chocolate is lush!" |
“That’s exactly why I’m here – the hot chocolate is lush!” she enthuses.
Brynmor, on the other hand, suggests that they can do better than a hot chocolate;

“Please don’t buy me any more jewellery,” Kelly cautions him. He is sorry if it made her feel awkward, but she maintains that it was, “Weird – really weird!”

He insists that he should at least buy her a glass of champagne and orders one from a passing waiter. “You have to celebrate properly.”
She agrees on the condition that she pays for it,

“Because, as you know, I don’t need a man to pay for a celebration for me!”

Brynmor quickly asks the waiter to make that two glasses, then returns to Kelly,

asking her for more details about this exciting news.

Sioned is stedfastly refusing to move from the sofa at number 21, although Rhys is begging, “Please, Sioned, I need to go to work – I’ve got things to do.

“ Your relationship with Mathew is nothing to do with me.”

| "It sounded like it yesterday" |
“It sounded like it was when you were talking yesterday,” she replies, so he wants to know exactly what she heard. “Enough to know there’s something wrong – please, Rhys, it’s obvious that Mathew is suffering and it’s breaking my heart to see him like this. All I want to do is help him, but I don’t know how – and I think you do know.”

He sadly confesses that he does not know how to help him; “I’ve tried everything, but he can’t face . . .
“ I don’t want to break my promise, but I can’t sit back and do nothing.”

Now Sioned is even more concerned and pleads with Rhys to tell her.

He haltingly begins, “He . . . Math was sexually abused.”

Kelly comes to the conclusion, “You’ve definitely been stood up.”

| "I'm having a little trouble settling" |
Brynmor replies that is nothing new, but he is just having a little trouble settling, as everyone has moved on.

“And you’re still stuck in the same place – I know the feeling – some days it feels like everything’s come to a stop since Auntie Neet’s diagnosis. Sometimes I just think she’s amazing . . .”

Brynmor completes her sentence, “And other days she’s disappearing in front of your eyes. The only advice I can give you is don’t change the way you talk to her –

“ it doesn’t matter how ill she becomes, Anita’s still there somewhere and she can hear you. And that’s why it’s important you appreciate days like today, because not everyone would be able to run their business with everything you’ve got on your plate.”

In the background, we can see Kath and Cassie walking past the window,

| "I haven't had any bookings yet" |
as Kelly points out that she has not had any bookings yet. Brynmor has every confidence in her,

| They raise their glasses |
so they drink a toast to the future.

| "What's going on here, then?" |
is the moment when Kath walks in and exclaims, “Well, goodness me! What’s going on here, then?” Brynmor looks rather guilty.

| "It happened when he was a child" |
Rhys continues his explanation to Sioned, “It happened when he was a child – everything flooded back when he went to see his mother.”

| "Not his mother?" |
Sioned suspects that she was the one who abused him,

| "No – his grandfather" |
but Rhys continues, “His grandfather.”

| "I want to save him, but I can't" |
There are tears in Sioned’s eyes, as he goes on, “And every time I talk to him, I see his pain – I want to save him, but I can’t.”

Now both of them are in tears and Sioned hugs Rhys.

| "You're here to discuss ham sandwiches?" |
“Do you really expect me to believe you’re here to discuss ham sandwiches?” demands Kath,

to which Kelly replies that it is ‘wraps’ actually.

| "After everything you said the other day?" |
“After everything you said the other day, Kelly?” Kath goes on. Kelly cannot believe that Kath seriously thinks they are on a date, but Cassie points out that no-one has mentioned a ‘date’.

“That’s what she’s implying – he’s old enough to be my grandad!” snarls Kelly.

| "I'm starting to think I never knew you at all" |
Kath turns her gaze upon Brynmor; “I’m starting to think I never knew you at all – with Quantum Hydro Works, the stealing – and now this. Do you honestly want him, Kelly?”
She takes no notice of Kelly’s reply that she most certainly does not want him

and Brynmor tries to stop Kath, but she continues nevertheless, “The Brynmor I married was kind and he was a gentleman – I don’t know you any more!”

As they walk away, Brynmor apologise to Kelly, promising to have a word with her, but Kelly tells him not to bother, gets up and is about to walk away, but stops to tell him,

“You know, this scene has probably wrecked my wedding deal – they’re not going to take me seriously as a business woman now – that’s all I need – thanks a bunch, Kath!”

In APD, Siwsi is speaking on the phone; “Yes, one night, and the sofa’s great – I’ll cook tonight, shall I? I’ll be there about six.”

Mark comes in for some AA batteries and she hands him a pack. “Gabriel steals them from the TV remote and hides them every day.”

Siwsi remembers Ricky doing that when she used to come over to play. Ieuan comes in, having finished dealing with the stock, so tells Siwsi that she can go home if she wants, as it is quiet.

She is anxious that she still will still get paid until five and comments that the coffee from Tamed this morning was lovely,

although Ieuan says that his was rather cold.
Mark invites Siwsi for a drink in the Deri, but she tells him that she is ‘a bit skint’ at the moment; he volunteers to pay and urges her to come on.

Ieuan says that he will join them when he has finished in the shop.

Mark moans, “I can’t remember inviting him!”

Rhys has tried to calm himself and tells Sioned that he is sorry; “Please don’t apologise,” she replies.

He had promised Mathew that he would not tell anyone and feels that he has let him down.

“No, you haven’t – you’ve done a brave thing by telling me,” she insists.
Rhys groans, “Watching him suffer and not being able to do anything about it has been hell –

“so imagine how he must be feeling. What’s going through his mind?”

| "I've been so nasty to him" |
Sioned knows exactly what he means; “I’ve been so nasty to him – going on and on about things that aren’t important. Then this morning I accused him of . . .”

| "You're not going to tell him, are you?" |
Rhys reminds her that she was not to know and hopes that she is not going to say anything to him.

| "I can't just carry on" |
She maintains that she cannot carry on as if nothing has happened, but Rhys is insistent that she has to,

“Or he could turn his back on both of us – and I don’t want him to be on his own.” She agrees that she will not say a word.

| "Do you need any help with the window cleaning?' |
As they have a drink in the Deri, Siwsi enquires whether Mark needs any help with the window cleaning. “You’re welcome to, but I can’t pay you,” he answers.

He thought that she was happy at APD, so she explains that she just does not get enough hours – and is skint.

| "He said he would pay me back, but he forgot" |
“And on top of that, it cost me a fortune in work this morning – Ieuan’s treat at Tamed earlier – he got a phone call just when it was time to pay – he said he would pay me back, but he forgot.”

“The little swine – I told you you had to keep an eye on him!” says Mark as he gets out his wallet;

“Go and get us another drink – you can pay me back when you’re flush.”

She is not quite sure when that will be.

As she goes to the bar, Kath and Cassie return; his mother tells Mark that she is fine,

but he can see that this is not the case.

| "Brynmor serenading Kelly with champagne" |
She explains, “I’ve just seen Brynmor serenading Kelly with champagne in the Glyndwr!

“I just regret marrying such a man in the first place.”

| Siwsi now has nowhere to stay |
Now Siwsi receives another phone call, apparently withdrawing the offer of a night on the sofa; she replies that there are loads of places she can stay tonight, but looks very worried.

| Sioned has now done Mathew's washing . . . |
Mathew returns to the farmhouse, where Sioned is feeling very repentant, having done his washing, and she thanks him for coming over, but he maintains it his only to get his stuff and the clothes which he did not get this morning.

“I’m surprised you’re doing something nice for me, after thinking that Rhys and I were sleeping together.”

Sioned is so sorry about that, accepting that it was a misunderstanding.

He wonders what came over her, but she would like to simply forget about it and he agrees that he will be out of her way in a moment.

She begs him to stay for dinner and he, after some hesitation, says that he will;

| "Please, no more ridiculous accusations" |
“But, please, no more ridiculous accusations.”

| "She needs some peace" |
Mark asks Cassie if he should go up and have a word with his mother, but she advises against it; “She needs some peace and I’ll make sure that she is all right.”

| "Kelly and Brynmor?" |
He cannot believe that Kelly and Brynmor were on a date, but the reply is, “Who knows with Brynmor?”

| "I'm looking for somewhere to stay tonight" |
Siwsi is looking anxiously at her phone, so Mark asks if everything is OK. She says that she is just looking for somewhere to stay tonight, maintaining that the boilers gone in the flat and it is freezing there,

| "Stay with us at Maes-y-Deri" |
so he immediately invites her to stay at his house in Maes-y-Deri, recalling that he spent plenty of time on their sofa when he and Debbie fell out.

She promises that it will only be for one night.

| "You owe Siwsi a pint . . ." |
At this point, they are joined by Ieuan. Mark reminds him that he owes Siwsi a pint;

“The thing is, when you treat someone, you have to pay – and I’ll have one.”

Sioned looks at Mathew who is sleeping on the sofa at Penrhewl;
