DJ announces to Sioned that he is not going into the deli this morning; “Anita can manage in there.” Sioned hopes that it is not because of her, insisting that she will be fine and will be going for a walk today to check on the deli.

He is equally insistent that he will come with her, but she snaps, “No, I want to go on my own, OK? Please will you stop fussing?”

Then a visitor arrives in the form of Cai; “Is it a convenient time for a chat – or to beg for a favour for the auction of promises?”

DJ has heard about that from Siôn. Sioned takes this as her cue to leave the house,

and Cai says that it is great to see her looking so well; she is just grateful to still be here and once more tells DJ that she will be fine.

Dani is pretty flustered as usual |
Dani comes downstairs at number 7, carrying a teddy bear, and there is a knock at the door. Britt comes in, moaning, “I’ve left you a couple of messages,” but Dani replies that she has been busy.

“I want you to phone the police, or courts, or whoever – and tell them you regret what you said and that you overreacted, because you’ve been through so much with Garry and Tyler!”

“No – I don’t regret it,” Dani informs her, “I can’t have a person who tried to kill someone living with my children.”

Britt maintains that Gwern did not know that Jinx and Kelly were there.

“That’s exactly what Gwyneth said – that she didn’t know that Brandon was in there!” Dani reminds her, “Please, Britt, just try to see things from my point of view – I’ve got two little children – I have to do what’s best for them.”

“But you’ve known Gwern since he was a baby,” Britt snarls, “You know how sweet he is – you brought him up. Look, why don’t you go and see him? Perhaps you’ll feel differently.”

Dani replies that he has made it clear does not want to see her.

“Don’t turn your back on him, Dani!” Britt warns, “If his own family gives up on him what hope does he have?”

Sioned is sitting outside the Deri, looking very upset,

but fortunately Maya notices her and comes over; Sioned says that she is OK, but it is obvious that this is not true.

“I’m just feeling a bit emotional,” she goes on and Maya tells her that is totally normal.
“I’ve been so lucky – and I don’t know why,” sobs Sioned,

“I’ve done some horrible things in my life.” Maya tries to comfort her, as she continues, “I just don’t deserve this.”

She is told to breathe deeply and feels a little calmer as a result.
“Is this the first time out since you’ve been home?” Maya asks, and will buy Sioned a drink in the Deri; Sioned thinks that she is the one who owes Maya a drink.

Jinx is at Y Felin, where he displays a banner for the auction and suggests they put up a few balloons in the Deri; “Arwen and a couple of friends will go round with collecting buckets.” Siôn thought that Ffion was going to do that,

He wonders whether Siôn fancies that, and Jinx describes his efforts as brilliant; he has also put a link online so that people can bid.

In the Deri, over a cup of tea, Sioned is told that she is experiencing ‘survivor’s guilt’. “I just feel so angry – so confused – I don’t know how to make it stop,” she says. Maya tells her that she is going to have to find the tools to help her deal with what has happened to her, psychologically as well as physically.

Maya proposes that they should meet once a week for coffee – and only speak Welsh. Sioned considers that in return for saving her life, she is getting a bargain.

At Cysgod y Glyn, Cai puts five white envelopes into his rucksack as Arwen asks if he is ready and when he describes her as smart, says that she is going for a cool vibe rather than smart.

Sioned is looking at the laptop and when DJ comes in he looks over her shoulder;

Cai is sitting just outside the door of the Deri and is thinking when Delyth comes out with her phone.

Cai tells her that he is not going back to work for a few weeks, as Ffion has given him some time off to see the kids – “I’m going to see them later today, as it happens – in North Wales. I like driving later in the day – there is less traffic. Have you got kids?”

“No – but Maya wants kids and so do I,” says Delyth; Cai advises her not to wait too long, as time flies. When Siôn comes out, Delyth goes back inside wishing him a safe journey.

“No, I’m just asking,” he replies, but she is not sure how Gwern is, as he does not want to see her. “Well, don’t give up on him – especially while he’s in there,” Cai recommends,
