"Come on, Jase!"

Kelly is still waiting for an answer;  “Come on, Jase – credit and bank statements!”   He accuses her of being silly, but she replies, “If you were innocent, you would show me.”

"What happened to trust, Kelly?"

His answer is that he has self-respect and wonders what happened to trust;

"I don't trust you, Jason!"

she makes it quite clear that she does not trust him.

“Well, that’s obvious, isn’t it?

"You'd rather trust busy Izzy!"

“You’d rather trust busy Izzy!   And she’s an angel, of course,” he continues, but Kelly points out that she is also worried.   She says that if Izzy wanted to cause trouble, she would have told Mathew.

"She asked about gambling this morning"

“She asked about the gambling this morning,” Jason recalls, “It all makes sense now – and I was sympathetic.”

"Just admit it, Jase, then I can help you!"

Kelly screams at him to simply admit it, and then she can help him, but he is adamant that he does not need any help.

"I hate seeing us like this!"

She hates seeing them like this,

"Well, stop it then!"

so he yells at her to stop it.”

"You're upsetting Ifan"

Anita hurries downstairs, wanting to know what all the shouting is about, and warning them that it is upsetting Ifan.

"I'll go up to him in a minute, Anita"

Jason promises to go up to him in a moment,

Kelly is at the end or her tether

and Kelly shakes her head in disbelief.

Eifion is up to something nefarious

In APD, Eifion has taken one of the bags from under the counter, removes an envelope from it,

. . . he has the Will of John Deri Fawr . . .

bearing the words, “The last will and testament of John Endaf Williams.”

. . . which he hides in a cashbox . . .

He puts this into a cashbox, locks it

. . . and puts it away

and places it in one of the cupboards behind the counter.

Then he imagines that someone is around

Then he is disturbed to hear a clattering sound outside, so goes to investigate.

"Have the council already commissioned the statue?"

Outside the Deri, Cassie is telling Hywel that she heard the Council has already commissioned someone to make the statue;

"There's no rush, is there?"

Mark and Colin are nearby, and ask why there is such a rush.

Hywel replies that they would be surprised how busy some sculptors are;

"We were very lucky to get Cerys Stephens"

“We were very lucky to get Cerys Stephens.”   They pretend that they are happy to hear the news, and go inside for another pint.

"Where are they going to put Fflam?"

Cassie enquires where they are going to put Fflam, and is told that it has not been decided yet, but Hywel is determined that it will not be near his house.

“It might not be your house by then,” she reminds him,

"A little bird told me you're selling"

“A little bird told me you’re selling.”   He agrees, that it is to a nice local couple, and she comments, “It’s hard for young people to find the money to buy these days.

"Oh, here he comes!"

Oh, here he comes!” as Mathew approaches, and she leaves them to discuss business.

Hywel takes out a piece of paper

Hywel takes a piece of paper from his pocket and puts it down on the table;

"We really appreciate it, Hywel"

Mathew thanks him, really appreciating what he has done.

"When did she die?  I'm so sorry!"

Iolo comes downstairs, once again on the phone, and hears bad news from Tyler;  “When did she die?” he asks, “I’m so sorry – yes I think it’s sensible to stay overnight.

"I don't want you driving home upset"

“I don’t like to think of you, driving home upset.   Listen, Tyler, I have to go – there’s a customer waiting for me.”

He is obviously expecting a visitor

On the table is a bottle and two glasses, together with some nibbles;

Iolo settles down with a glass of wine

he turns up the volume of the music and drinks some wine.

Colin receives a message from Siôn

In the Deri, Colin receives a message alert as he comes out of the gent’s;

"He's thinking of changing the shop name"

“It’s from Siôn – he’s texting to say that he’s considering changing the name of the bookshop from Y Winllan to Fflam!”

"We have to stop this before it's too late!"

Mark is getting very worried, as the statue has already been commissioned;  “We have to stop this before it’s too late!”

"Double-page spread – guaranteed!"

Colin emphasises that it is already too late – the article is going to be in the Western Post next week;  “Double page spread – guaranteed!”

"Why did you have to start these stupid lies?"

Mark demands why he had to start these stupid lies, and he is reminded that he is also a liar.

"You were the one who made Fflam blind!"

“All right, but you stretched the story – you made Fflam blind!” rages Mark, but Colin answers that he sais he loved the idea.   “It was all just a bit of fun – I don’t like to see people spending money – a new sign on Siôn’s shop, for example.”

"Siôn could sue us if he finds out!"

Colin predicts that he could sue them if he finds out about the lies.   “This has turned sour!” Mark groans.

"I don't like to stick my nose in . . ."

“I don’t like to stick my nose in,” begins Anita, “But it sounded serious to me.”   Kelly replies that she does like to stick her nose in, and it is not serious.   “You were shouting at each other and upsetting Ifan,” Anita goes on;

"I don't want to talk about it"

Kelly does not want to talk about it, but obviously Anita does.

“I think you should be a bit more patient, Kelly,” she advises, “Shouting at at him won’t help –

"It will make – his problem – worse!"

it will make him worse – his problem!”

"We've fallen out over money"

Kelly is becoming exasperated;  “That’s not what it is – we’ve fallen out over money!” she snarls, as she chops up the vegetables.   Anita tries to console her that every couple argues about money, and suggests that it might be a good idea for them to have a joint bank account.

"Yeah, right, lovely – thanks for the advice"

“Yeah, right, lovely – thanks for the advice,” Kelly says, without much feeling.

"Thank you, love"

While they are having a game of darts in the Deri, Colin receives a phone call from Izzy, congratulating them on the statue;

"Another reason we have to stick to the story"

“She got Mathew, Jason and Rhys to vote for Fflam – that’s another reason we have to stick to the story – it’s bad enough that her mother has made a fool of herself.

"Promise that we stick to the story"

“We need to create a pact – promise each other that we stick to the story, whatever happens.”

"We could blame your grandfather"

Mark proposes that they could blame his grandfather;  “No-one could prove that he didn’t tell your father about Fflam,”

"Yes, they've both died, haven't they?"

and Colin agrees that they have both died.

"That's sorted – your grandfather's to blame!"

“That’s sorted, then – your grandfather’s to blame!” Mark concludes.

"Are you going with Izzy?"

When Hywel returns to Llwyncelyn, he finds that Gaynor is about to go running, and is pleased that she is doing so;  “Are you going with Izzy?” he asks.

"No, I'm going on my own"

She replies that she is going on her own, and he acknowledges that they have a lot of making up to do.

“It takes two to do that,” she stresses,

"I'd like to see you two getting on again"

and he would just like to see them getting on together again, but agrees that it will do her good going for a run, and will clear her head.   “And I need to do that, don’t I?” she says,

"There is something I can do"

adding, “Thinking about it, there is something I can do.”

Mathew is working on the laptop . . .

Mathew is typing furiously on the laptop when Izzy comes in, also dressed for a run;

. . . and is invited to accompany her

“I can wait for you to change if you want to come with me,” she offers, but he declines, explaining that he has a lot of work to do, and will come next time.

"That's what you said last time!"

“That’s what you said last time,” she sneers, “I’ll be back in about an hour.”

He checks that she has gone

As soon as he is sure that she has gone, Matthew makes a phone call;

He is going to pick something up

“Hiya, Jinx – I can pick it up in about a quarter of an hour – that sounds great.”

Izzy's shoe has come undone already

As Izzy is tying up her shoelace in the alley, Jason approaches her; “Izzy, Oi!

"What do you think you're doing?"

“What do you think you’re doing?   Causing trouble with Kelly!”   She says that she was only trying to help, but he rants, “By going through my phone?”

"Kelly had a huge shock, just like I did!"

“It’s lucky I did – Kelly had a huge shock, just like I did!” she tells him, but once again he insists he is not gambling.   She does not have time for this and walks away, but he objects to that.

"If I hear you've been stirring trouble for me . . ."

“Listen, if I hear that you’ve been stirring trouble for me . . .” he threatens, so she makes it quite clear that she was thinking of Matthew and herself, not him.

"I'm not letting your weakness spoil our dream!"

She is not going to let his weakness ruin their dream;  “Don’t you dare touch APD’s money!”

"Weakness?   I'll show you weakness!"

He shouts that he will show her ‘weakness’, as he proceeds along the back street,

He kicks over a green bin . . .

kicking over a green bin.

. . . and a pile of crates

As he continues flinging empty crates in all directions at the back of the shop,

"Do you want to see how weak I am, Izzy?"

he roars, “Is that what you want?   Do you want to see how weak I am, Izzy?   Happy now – is that what you want?   You never know when to stop, do you?”

As he approaches with a chunk of timber . . .

He has by now picked up a piece of timber, which he brandishes like a weapon,

. . . he is challenged by Anita . . .

and Anita, who has heard the commotion, comes through the alley towards them.   She screams at him to stop

. . . and makes a hasty exit

and he walks away, dropping the timber.

"Are you all right, Izzy?"

Anita asks Izzy if she is all right;  she says that she is and heads off for her run.

Ryan is back again

Ryan is back at number 7 – again – and was just expecting a drink;  he is impressed by the lengths that Iolo has gone to,

"That shirt may be a little OTT!"

and comments that Iolo’s shirt may be a little OTT.

"It's nice to have an excuse to wear a new shirt"

“It’s nice to have an excuse to wear a new shirt,” Iolo replies.

"I'll put this in the fridge"

Ryan will put the bottle which he has brought into the fridge.

"Did you vote for Fflam, then?"

Eifion looks very thoughtful, sitting by the bar in the Deri, and Cassie asks him whether he voted for Fflam.   His mind is elsewhere and then he realises what she is talking about;

"Tourists will flock in their hundreds"

“The horse which will shortly arrive in Cwmderi, and tourists will flock in their hundreds to see it,” he describes it as nonsense, and did not bother to vote.

She enquires how he is enjoying it at Deri Fawr,

"Aren't you nosy?"

and he accuses her of being nosy;   “Would you like to try one of our specials for dinner?” she asks, proffering a menu,

"I doubt that John cooks a lot"

“I doubt that John cooks a lot.”

He demands, “Why do you keep going on about John?

"Everyone in Cwmderi wants to know your business"

“I don’t like the fact that everyone in Cwmderi wants to know your business!”   Mathew comes in and asks if he wants a pint, but he refuses and abruptly walks out.

"He's a strange one!"

Cassie calls him, “A strange one,” and Mathew asks for a bottle of champagne.

"It's important to celebrate"

He says that when life is going well, it is important to celebrate.

Gaynor puts something in an envelope . . .

Gaynor is placing a sheet of paper in an envelope,

. . . addressed to Izzy

which she addresses to Izzy;

She leaves for her run

she takes it and her bottle of water as she leaves for her run.

"Your father's stocking more music at the shop"

Iolo puts some music on, and Ryan says it is one of his favourites;  “I see your father is stocking more music at the shop now,

"That must be Jinx's influence"

which Iolo thinks must be Jinx’s influence.   “Or Tesni’s,” Ryan suggests, “Have they had a lot of stick?”

Iolo predicts that there will be more to come, now that she has moved in with him,

"They're both single – free agents"

and Ryan remarks that they are both single – free agents.   He refuses any more alcohol, as he is driving.

"You can stay if you like"

“You can stay if you like,” Iolo invites him, and he asks where Tyler is.

"In Liverpool"

“In Liverpool,” is the answer.

"You don't need someone like me in your life"

“You don’t need someone like me in your life, Iol – someone who just wants to have fun – froth on the surface,” Ryan tells him, “You’re worth more than that.”

"Because I'm not a free agent?"

Very disappointed, Iolo replies, “Because I’m not a free agent?” and is reminded that he has a husband and a daughter, which are a lot more valuable than anything Ryan can offer.

"I'd never forgive myself"

“I’d never forgive myself if I spoiled what you’ve got as a family,” he says,

"I've never felt like this before"

and Iolo whines that he has never felt like this before.   “You’re not in a position to . . . I don’t want to risk what we’ve got.   Friendship – I’d like to keep that, if we can,” Ryan continues, and leaves the house.   Iolo wears his usual ‘hard-done-by’ expression.

"It's lucky I arrived when I did"

Anita tells Kelly, “It’s lucky I arrived when I did – he lost his temper completely with poor Izzy!”   Kelly answers that they were probably arguing about money at APD,

"Jason's all bark and no bite"

but is confident that Jason is all bark and no bite.   Anita hopes that she is right.

Kelly phones his number;

"Jason, why aren't you picking up your phone?"

“Jason, where are you?   Why aren’t you picking up your phone?”   She instructs Anita not to panic,

"I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable explanation"

as she is sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation.

Iolo is washing up after the little clandestine meeting when he hears the front door,

Iolo tries to hide the evidence

and tries to cover up the evidence with the tea towel.   Tyler has returned early, having cancelled the hotel;

"I wanted to be here with you"

“I wanted to be here with you,” he says, “I dont like being apart.”

"Has the OCD flared up again?"

Noticing some cleaning materials on the table, he assumes that Iolo’s OCD has flared up again,

"I'm sorry for being like this, Ty"

and Iolo apologises rather excessively for being like that when Tyler has just lost his grandmother.

“I don’t deserve you,” he whimpers, guiltily, but Tyler assures him that it is OK,

"You're the important one, Iol"

and that Iolo is the important one.   It has been a long day, so he is going to have an early night, confirming that he loves Iolo.

Mathew prepares the 'new' house

In what was Hywel’s house, Mathew puts the bottle of champagne on the table;  we see the box containing the greenhouse which Izzy ordered, leaning against the wall.

He has a painting of the happy couple

He removes from its wrapping a picture of himself and Izzy, which he hangs on the wall

"I've got more than one surprise"

Then he takes out his phone and dials her number;  “I’ve got a surprise – well, more than one surprise, to be honest.

"Come over to our new house . . ."

“Come over to our new house, as soon as you get this message.

". . . remember – our new house"

“Remember – our new house – love you.”

Out in the woodland . . .

The scene changes to a wooded area;  as the camera scans across, we see the inert figure of Izzy lying on the ground.

. . . is a motionless Izzy and a rock

Nearby is a rock with what appears to be a blood stain on it, her headphones

Her phone is nearby

and her mobile phone.

Has Izzy been murdered?

Blood can be seen on her head.
