She argues that she has deleted in the account now, so it will not happen again; “Please, Hywel, I’ve learned my lesson,” she whines, “You’re not going to tell anyone, are you? I understand that you’re angry – I am, too – I can’t believe I did something so stupid! But at least now, we can move on from this.”

He cannot believe her attitude, and she suggests that he should say he could not find the IP address;

Dani is sorting the washing when there is a knock at the door, and DI Wilkinson is standing there, advising that there has been a development.

“Dafydd Morris’ body was found at his house this morning – it appears that he died following a serious fire.”
“Are you sure that he was the biggest threat?” asks Dani,

she goes on, “So we’re safe – the children and I are safe?” The DI promises to keep an eye on them for a while, but can see no reason why they cannot carry on with their lives.

He pulls a £10 note from his pocket, snarling, “Here you go – I took £10 from the till to pay for coffee, biscuits and milk for APD, like one of us does every week! But you take that for your petty cash, Izzy, all right?

Garry informs the DI that he was at the flat all night; “Dani made us some dinner and I put Seren to bed – then we watched a film, didn’t we?”

Dani confirms this, adding that she is nervous of being there on her own after everything that has happened, so Garry has been sleeping on the sofa.

“I was back and forth all night, getting water, and he was asleep every time I came in,” she goes on. That is all that DI Wilkinson needs for now, and if there is anything else he will be in touch.

Aled is again drinking in the Deri; “How long are you going to keep ignoring me?” he asks Aaron, “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have . . . you know. Can’t we just forget about it, and go back to how things were?”

In the bookshop, Siôn is busy when Iolo comes in, and asks for his opinion on a new line they are stocking;
