Hywel is making coffee

Hywel is making the coffee when Gaynor comes into the room;  “Hywel, can we talk about this, please?”   He does not reply, so she continues, 

"It was supposed to be a bit of innocent fun"

“It was supposed to be a bit of innocent fun – I just lost control.”

"What you said about mental illness was awful!"

“Fun?” he growls, “What you said about mental illness was awful – how do you think Rhys will feel when he finds out?   And the parents at school?”

"Please, Hywel, you're not going to tell anyone, are you?"

She argues that she has deleted in the account now, so it will not happen again;  “Please, Hywel, I’ve learned my lesson,” she whines, “You’re not going to tell anyone, are you?   I understand that you’re angry – I am, too – I can’t believe I did something so stupid!   But at least now, we can move on from this.”

"You can say you couldn't find the IP address"

He cannot believe her attitude, and she suggests that he should say he could not find the IP address;  

"You're not going to report me?"

“What?   You’re not going to report me, are you?”   

"I won't say a word"

He tells her that he is not going to say a word, which comes as a relief to Gaynor.

"There has been a development"

Dani is sorting the washing when there is a knock at the door, and DI Wilkinson is standing there, advising that there has been a development.   

"Could you excuse us, Mr Monk?"

He asks Garry to excuse them, but Dani would rather he were present.

"Does the name Dafydd Morris mean anything to you?"

“Does the name Dafydd Morris mean anything to you?” the DI asks, and Dani does not think so.   “Evidence has come to light which suggests that he was working closely with Dylan, and that he was the biggest threat to your safety.   

"He died following a serious fire"

“Dafydd Morris’ body was found at his house this morning – it appears that he died following a serious fire.”

“Are you sure that he was the biggest threat?” asks Dani, 

This concerns Garry

as Garry looks concerned, and, having been assured that is the case, 

"So the children and I are safe?"

she goes on, “So we’re safe – the children and I are safe?”   The DI promises to keep an eye on them for a while, but can see no reason why they cannot carry on with their lives.

A weight has been lifted from her mind

Dani is very pleased to hear this and thanks him for the information;  

"There is one more thing . . ."

“There is one more thing,” he says, turning to Garry, 

". . . where were you last night, Mr Monk?"

“Where were you last night, Mr Monk?”

"I'm off to Llanarthur, Izzy"

Jason is about to leave APD;  he is going to Llanarthur, and will not be more than an hour.   “Hold on, do you know anything about this?” Izzy demands, 

"I'm £10 short – and you have a track record!"

“I’ve counted yesterday’s float twice, and I’m £10 short.   You’ve got a track record, Jason.”

"I took £10 to pay for coffee, biscuits and milk"

He pulls a £10 note from his pocket, snarling, “Here you go – I took £10 from the till to pay for coffee, biscuits and milk for APD, like one of us does every week!   But you take that for your petty cash, Izzy, all right?   

"I'll pay for the coffee and Jaffa cakes this week"

“I’ll pay for the coffee and Jaffa cakes this week!   Don’t you worry about it!”   

Izzy is concerned

Izzy looks rather put out.

"I put Seren to bed, and we watched a film"

Garry informs the DI that he was at the flat all night;  “Dani made us some dinner and I put Seren to bed – then we watched a film, didn’t we?”   

"Can you confirm that?"

Dani confirms this, adding that she is nervous of being there on her own after everything that has happened, so Garry has been sleeping on the sofa.

"He was asleep every time I cam in"

“I was back and forth all night, getting water, and he was asleep every time I came in,” she goes on.   That is all that DI Wilkinson needs for now, and if there is anything else he will be in touch.

"Well, did you go out?"

After he has left, Dani enquires, “Well, did you go out?   I was flat out – you know that, so I wouldn’t have known.”

"I know who he is – well, who he was"

Garry replies that he was there all night, but there is something else;  “This Daf Morris – I know who he is – well, who he was – and the DI is right, he was the biggest threat, which means you don’t have to worry any more – 

"You and the children are safe"

“you and the children are safe.”

Oh – it is Iolo who retrieves the card

Iolo happens to throw something else in the wastepaper basket, and retrieves half of Ryan’s card;  

After some thought, he starts to send a tex t. . .

after a moment’s thought, he gets out his phone and almost sends a text message, 

. . . but then deletes it

getting as far as, “Sorry for . . .” before changing his mind and deleting it.

"How long are you going to keep ignoring me?"

Aled is again drinking in the Deri;  “How long are you going to keep ignoring me?” he asks Aaron, “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have . . . you know.   Can’t we just forget about it, and go back to how things were?”

"Outside work, I've got nothing to say to you!"

Aaron growls, “I talk to you when we work together – but outside work, I’ve got nothing to say to you!”   

Dani notices the anomosity

Again Dani notices this antipathy between them.

“You’re still not talking, then?” she remarks, 

"He doesn't want to know"

and Aled whines that Aaron does not want to know when he apologises;  there is nothing else he can do.   “No, you just sit here, drinking, again,” she says, 

"What do you want to do with your life"

“What do you want to do with your life?   It’s about time you thought about that!”

Siôn is stocking new items in the bookshop

In the bookshop, Siôn is busy when Iolo comes in, and asks for his opinion on a new line they are stocking;  

"Tesni thinks we should sell that sort of thing"

“Tesni brought them over – she thinks we should sell that kind of thing – they’re very expensive.”   

"Perhaps that book rep bloke could help you"

Iolo suggests that perhaps that book rep bloke could help him out with stock, but is told that he only sells books.   

“But he goes to a lot of different shops – I’m sure he can tell you what sells best,” Iolo continues, and his father thinks that is a good idea.   

"Will he be coming to the shop any time soon?"

“Will he be coming to the shop any time soon?” Iolo asks in what he hopes appears a casual manner, but Siôn does not expect to see him for a while.   

"Thanks for what you said, Iolo"

Siôn expresses his appreciation for Iolo’s remark about not letting fear hold him and Tesni back.

"It doesn't make sense, Jinx"

At Penrhewl, Eileen is telling Jinx that it does not make sense;  he is looking at the laptop, and informs her, “I thought it was a mistake, but it’s pretty obvious – 

"It's here in black and white"

“it’s here in black and white.”   She thanks him for the information and he wonders what she is going to do about it.

"I can't pretend I don't know about it!"

“I have to do something – I can’t pretend I don’t know about it,” she replies.

"I had to go into work early"

Jason arrives home and is told that he is early;  “I had to go into work at seven this morning to receive a delivery,” he says, but she thought he was trying to avoid her.

"I'm making your favourite dinner"

“I’m making your favourite for dinner – actually, I need to stir it,” she goes on, and he guesses that it is Chilli con Carne;  

"Sticky toffee pudding – with ice cream!"

“And sticky toffee pudding – with ice cream!” she adds.   After a pause, she says, “This has gone too far, hasn’t it?   

"I shouldn't have got those tablets without your consent"

“I shouldn’t have got those tablets without your consent – I am sorry.”

"It was embarrassing – especially for Anita"

He concedes that it was embarrassing – especially for Anita;  

"I've banned her from downstairs tonight"

“Yeah, and that’s why I’ve banned her from downstairs tonight,” Kelly tells him, “Because we’re going to have food, listen to music – and we’re going to have a chat, like the good old days.”   He thinks that sounds lovely, but there was no need to ban Anita.

"She felt awkward anyway"

“I know, but she felt awkward anyway, so she’s going to have dinner in the Deri and an early night,” Kelly explains.

"We don't discuss any 'dysfunction' tonight"

Jason is happy with this, but has one condition;  “That we don’t discuss any ‘dysfunction’ tonight!”   

"Dis – what?"

She pretends that she has no idea what he is talking about, 

"That chilli smells good!"

and he comments on how good the chilli smells.   

"No – don't touch, Jase!"

She will not permit him to have a taste of it.

"I was making a sandwich anyway"

Garry is looking at the Deri wages when Dani brings him a sandwich;  “I was making one anyway,” she tells him.   He comments that there will be one less to pay if Cassie gets her way;  

"Cassie says that Aled is useless"

she has said that Aled is useless.   

"He needs a focus, you know"

“I’m worried about him,” says Dani, “He needs a focus, you know.”   

"I wish he'd focus on the job he already has"

Garry wishes that he would focus on the job he already has, but she recommends that he might focus better if he had more shifts and more responsibilities.   

"Thank you for looking after us"

“Garry, I just wanted to say thank you for staying with us and looking after us,” she adds, and he insists there is no need to thank him.   “I’d have been really scared here, just me and the children.”   He assures her there is no need to worry now, because Daf has gone.

"You can go back to number 7 now"

“That’s why you won’t have to stay on the sofa any more – you can go back to number 7,” which is not what he was expecting to hear.   

"If you want me to stay a little longer . . ."

He points out that she has been through a lot lately, and if she wants him to stay a little longer . . .

"No – we'd better get back to normal"

“No, it’s fine – we’d better get back to normal before the baby arrives,” she has decided, and he smiles as he agrees with her, 

That little plan did not work, then

but the smile quickly fades when she walks away.

"I don't know why I reacted the way I did"

Iolo is once again looking at his phone, and leaves a message;  “It’s Iolo here – sorry about yesterday.   I don’t know why I reacted the way I did – it was a shock, probably.   Anyway, if you still want me to be part of the project, 

"I'm willing to be in the calendar"

“I’m willing to be in the calendar.   Just text or phone me.”

"I love this album"

Kelly turns on some music, remarking, “I love this album.”   Jason remembers going to see them in Carmarthen;  

"I remember seeing you dance for the first time"

“I remember seeing you dance for the first time,” she says, “A sight to behold!”

He boasts that they used to call him, “Snake hips!” 

"I'd like to go to festivals and gigs"

and she would like to go to festivals and gigs – when they can, of course.   

"Can we stay in one of those massive Yurts?"

“Can we stay in one of those massive Yurts, please?” he begs.

"We deserve an actual laugh"

Kelly considers that they deserve a laugh;  “An actual laugh – especially you.   I’m proud of you – that stuff with Sara, 

"You've come through it – you're amazing"

“the gambling.   You’ve come through it – you’re amazing.”   

Little does Kelly suspect

He answer is that it has not been easy, 

"I'm proud you've done it"

but she is proud that he has done it.

"Kelly, I need to tell you something"

With an attack of conscience, he begins, “Kelly, I need to tell you something,” but then he chickens out,

Then his determination deserts him

simply saying, “I love you more than anything else in the world – there’s nothing more serious than saying that – I love you!   

She is quite touched by his devotion

“I just wanted to make sure that you know, that’s all.

Gaynor hears Eileen's voice

Eileen arrives at Llwyncelyn, where Hywel opens the door, and Gaynor looks apprehensive.   “I need to talk to both of you,” says Eileen, 

"I asked Jinx to check the IP address"

“I asked Jinx to check the IP address on that disgusting Twitter account.”

"Dani has eaten all the prawn cocktail crisps"

In the Deri, Garry discovers that the prawn cocktail crisps have run out, and Cassie advises that Dani has eaten them all.   “I’d forgotten about the odd things women eat when they’re pregnant,” he groans, 

"She dips them in a cup of tea!"

“She dips them in a cup of tea!”   He takes another flavour as a substitute.

"Can you check the men's toilet?"

Cassie asks him to check the men’s toilet:  “Aled has been drinking for hours – and he’s plastered!”   

Garry is amused by Aled's condition

Just then Aled staggers into the bar 

"Sit down and have a glass of water"

and Garry tells him to sit down and have a glass of water.   Cassie warns him, “If he throws up, you clean it up.”

"I know – I've had too much to drink!"

Garry stands in front of him, and Aled appreciates that he has had too much to drink;  

"We've all been there"

“Yeah, we’ve all been there – I’m not judging you.   You’re a clever boy, and being in a rut like this doesn’t suit you.”

"Why are you being nice to me?"

Aled cannot understand why Garry is being nice to him;  he is told, “I need good workers – and I think with a bit of focus you could be one.   

"We'll see if we can give you more responsibilities"

“I’ll have a word with Cassie to see if we can give you more responsibilities as a barman.   You could do your own stock take.”

"She's not going to like that"

Aled sneers, “She’s not going to like that,” but Garry points out that he is the boss;  

"Cassie and I understand each other"

he and Cassie understand each other.

“Drink your water and go home – 

"You're going to feel rubbish in the morning!"

“you’re going to feel rubbish in the morning!” Garry predicts.

"There must be some kind of mistake"

Gaynor is insisting that there must be some kind of mistake;  

"Not according to Jinx"

“Not according to Jinx,” replies Eileen, “And the IP address is clear – those tweets came from this house.”  

"She's got all the information"

Gaynor turns to Hywel to back her up, but he tells her, “Just leave it, Gaynor – there’s no point – she’s got all the information.”

"No-one else has to find out, do they?"

Now Gaynor pleads that she did not mean it, and that it was only a bit of fun;  “No-one else has to find out, do they?”

"What the hell have you done?"

“What the hell have you done?” Eileen demands, and is told that Gaynor has deleted the account – she insists that she regrets it so much.

"Please don't make me lose everything"

“Please don’t make me lose everything because of this!”   

"I cant keep this to myself, Gaynor"

Eileen points out that she is a governor and cannot keep this to herself;  she is sorry, but will not change her mind.
