“I’ve been up since 3:00am, trying to finish a deadline, and now I can’t find my notes on the price of raising kids,” she complains,

“And, believe you me, an arm and a leg doesn’t even cover it.”

"Is that why you don't know if you want any?" |
“Is that why you don’t know whether you want kids in the future?” Jason asks her, but she replies that it is not that.

He apologises for asking, pointing out that she does not have to justify anything to him.
Kelly tells him, “There’s no point in saying perhaps some time in the future – because I don’t mean it, Jase –

“I’m so sorry – I do love you, though.” Then his phone rings again, and Kelly continues the search for her notes.

“I’m sure there’s a poltergeist in this house, playing tricks on me,” she moans; Jason has to go and fix Ffion’s tap, and is not sure when he will be back.

Kelly is anxious about him; “Jase – are you OK?” and he assures her that he is.

Tesni is trying out her sales technique |
Tesni is trying her sales technique on Anita; “I can offer you a very attractive price,” she says, then hears Siôn shouting from upstairs that he cannot find his blue jumper.

Anita calls back to him, “I thought you’d left a while ago,” and meanwhile Tesni is frantically clearing away her cosmetics, as he does not know she is ‘moonlighting’.

Anita tells her that he has been in a foul temper for several days, and wonders if Tesni knows anything about it;

she of course says she cannot help, and escapes from the house, just in time, as Siôn can be heard coming downstairs.

Anita informs him that his jumper is in the wash, and comments that he is late this morning;

"It will do Tesni good to take more responsibility" |
“It will do Tesni good to open up and take more responsibility,” he replies, and Anita asks what he wants for dinner tonight. “You carry on – I’ll sort myself out,” he says as he leaves.

As Jason is completing the job on Ffion’s tap, he asks her, “Can I ask you a personal question?”

She agrees that he can ask, but she may not answer. “They say that an only child is a lonely child – have you ever considered giving Arwen a brother or sister? Sorry – too personal!”

Ffion answers that she does not think her health is good enough, and wonders why he asked; “Is Kelly . . ?”

He does not think that Kelly is ready to have children yet – and is not sure if she ever will be. He respects that, and explains that Sara wants a brother or sister for Ifan.

“It makes sense, I suppose, with the same father – as you know, I’ve always wanted a lot of children,” he goes on, and this comes as a shock to Ffion.

Jason replies that to say that she is happy is pushing it. “Well, there’s no big rush to decide, is there?” she points out.

“Sara’s booked us into an IUI [Intra-Uterine Insemination] clinic today – Kelly doesn’t know,” he explains.

Ffion insists that it is imperative that he tell her, but he remarks that there is no guarantee it will work.
“Jase – I thought you’d stopped gambling!” she exclaims,

"What was wrong with you last night?" |
At Maes-y-Deri, Mark is practising some gaming, and his mother complains, “What was wrong with you last night? You were shuffling around the place for hours.”
He says that he has discovered that Andrea likes gaming;

“She gets more perfect every day!” He urges Kath not to spoil things for him,

She begs to differ with her son, pointing out, “She’s the one who didn’t turn up for the date!” Mark reminds her of the blowout with Andrea’s car, and Kath regards that as very convenient, wondering when he is actually going to meet her; she finds it odd that he has not already done so.

Then Tyler rings Mark, wanting him to clean Tom Dickens’ windows, as he has to call in to see Iolo. Mark reluctantly agrees that he will be there in ten minutes,

muttering that if he hurries he can get in another hour’s practice at lunchtime. “I don’t want a hiding from Andrea the first time we play,” he says.

He advises that the appointment is today – in an hour. “When did you know about this?” she asks, and he says that it was last night; Sara has been arranging the whole thing behind his back.

Jason argues that at least this might be a good thing – it will be over by tonight, and Sara will drop the charges.
Kelly does not relish the thought of being responsible from bringing a baby into the world just to get Sara to drop the charges. Jason is emphatic that he is doing this for Ifan.

A car horn can be heard outside and Kelly tells him he had better shift, as he does not want to keep Sara waiting; she unpacks the picnic bag and replaces the items in the fridge.

Anita regards anything as better than cleaning skirtings, and Ffion volunteers to go and fetch the sewing machine from upstairs, aware that it is kept on top of the wardrobe.

Tyler has accomplished what Kath wanted him to do, which is to superimpose the photo of her on a picture of Singapore, and he will now send it to her phone.

as the clinic wanted her to rest; she maintains that she will go first thing in the morning,

“Right, I hope to see you soon with some good news,” says Sara, and leaves the house.
