Tesni is looking glumly at her phone when Aled comes downstairs; “Who’s stolen your lip gloss, then?” he asks.

She explains that the girl she recruited has pulled out, and now she will not be able to cover this month’s costs.

“Right, this is ridiculous,” he tells her, “You have to stop this business before you get into more debt!”

Her answer to this is to take out the tin of drugs she found in Guto’s room, and she asks if Aled wants to share it.

Sara is relaxing with a glass of wine and a magazine when Jason returns from APD; she tells him that Ifan is watching ‘Deian a Loli’ upstairs.

He considers that it is rather early for her to be drinking, and she points out it is almost lunchtime.
“We had all-dayers all the time in Australia, remember?” she continues,

He indicates that he has work to do, but she whines, “Just a small one, please – you work too hard – sit down and I’ll get you one.” He says that he must only have one, or he will not be able to work out any of the VAT.

Eifion finds Sioned busy, packing all sorts of things for their holiday; “This time tomorrow, we’ll be swimming in the Med,” he says, but Sioned would prefer to be drinking cocktails on the beach. “Why are you taking all that stuff? You only need a bikini and flip-flops,” he informs her,

Then a message arrives on her phone from Siôn; “I’m just checking how you’re feeling,” he says, and she looks guilty.

Hywel is wielding a brush and dustpan; he complains, “That’s the third time today I had to tidy up in there! The plaster’s cracking – it’s only been on the wall two weeks, and it’s coming off.

“OK, I’ll pay, and you can pay me back – you were on your way to see me, anyway – text me your bank details.”

At Maes-y-Deri, Brynmor can sense that something is wrong with Kath,

and she asks, “Have you noticed anything different about me today?” He protests that he is not good with hairstyles and things, and remarks that she is as beautiful as ever,

"The ring – you haven't lost it?" |
then notices she is not wearing her ring, and is worried that she has lost it.

"I can't wear it around the place – at £15,000!" |
“Oh no, thank goodness!” she replies, “But I can’t wear it around the place now that I know it’s worth £15,000!”

He wonders how she knows that and she explains that she looked it up online;

He enquires why she would do that; “You said that you liked the ring – what does it matter how much it cost?”

She emphasises that it matters to her and that it is far too much; she demands where he got his hands on £15,000.

“I had it and I wanted to spend it on you!” he says in exasperation.
“I knew you weren’t struggling, but it’s so much, Brynmor,” Kath insists,

but he simply wanted to get her something special, and is worried that she is not going to wear it.

Sara is still working on her devious plan, sitting on the floor, reminding Jason of the occasion they gatecrashed a birthday party on the beach, and went on the bouncy castle.

They laugh as they remember the occasion, and Jason would love to be on a beach now. “Everything was so much easier out there,” sighs Sara,

Izzy takes great delight in explaining that she deals with the customers now, and asks what exactly is the problem.

Grinning, Izzy points out that they are the pros, then Mathew comes in and is gleefully informed by Izzy that her mother wants them to fix the plastering job at Llwyncelyn. She cannot resist adding, “You would have saved money by having reliable people do it in the first place!”

Mathew agrees that they will come over and give her a quote, then they can start as soon as possible; he would like to take some details of the job.

Kelly whispers that she is sorry; “I know that it was wrong, but she tried to snog you, Jase! I’ve tried to be cool with everything – you wanted to come and live with her — now she wants a child with you! In my brain, she want you back as well!”

Jason tries to calm her, “Of course – but the thing is, Kelly, I don’t want her back, do I? I certainly don’t want another child with her – I love you! I even love that temper of yours!”

Outside Penrhewl, Sioned’s car is being loaded up for the journey, and she is anxious that they have the tickets.

and then she realises she has forgotten to buy aftersun, and wants him to go to the shop to get some.

and is adamant that they need to go, in case there is a lot of traffic.

She runs into the house to get a book for the flight.

Kath has explained the situation to Mark, and he says,

She replies that she is not most women, and demands what Mark knows about Brynmor.

“I don’t know whether it’s true or not, but he used to give people backhanders – when he was on the council, so that things went his way.”
Kath is under the impression that is how most councillors work, and Mark continues, “He must have got the money from somewhere.”

Kath wonders whether he has been stealing, or dealing in drugs, and is determined to find out somehow.

“Men like that are good at covering their tracks,” Mark warns.
Then his phone sounds; “Are you go to tell me who this woman is?” his mother asks, and he explains that she is not from the area. They met online, and that was where the bottles came from.
He says, “We were supposed to meet up today, but she had a blowout on the M4 – she’s going back to Singapore tomorrow – she’s an air hostess.”

Sioned appears to be having trouble starting the car, and Eifion asks her to check the car is in neutral.

He wants her to open the bonnet, but she protests that even if he fixes it,

it is not safe enough to take them to the airport. “What are we going to do? We’ll miss the flight!” he shouts, and she instructs him to go and get his car from Deri Fawr.

Kelly believes that he wants another baby with Sara, but he urges her to let him finish.

We could start practising now, couldn’t we? Because it could take a long time.”

Kelly, now beginning to smile, encourages him to slow down, as she has deadlines to meet.

There is a knock on the door at number 10, and Tesni discovers that Siôn has come to see her; “I thought I’d call in to see the patient,” he says, “You’re not too ill for a piece of cake, I hope.”

and he is not expecting her to rush back to work. Then she does at last manage to summon up the courage

to tell him, “I’ve done something terrible – I’m not ill, and I couldn’t come to work because I didn’t want to see you. I’m scared to tell you, because I really like working in the shop with you.”

“I used the money for the course to pay off my credit card – I feel terrible – I’m so sorry!” she wails.

He is extremely disappointed; “I’ve done so much for you – I didn’t have to – I was stupid to think you could somehow respect me. You don’t, or you wouldn’t have stolen from me.” She alleges that she will get the money back for him, but he tells her to grow up.
