Diane is in the shop and shouts at the top of her voice for Colin; the sound of running water can be heard and then he appears.

“Sorry to keep you – I hope you have not been waiting too long,” he apologises. She enquires whether he often leaves the shop unattended

"I was 'on the throne'!" |
and he replies, “I was on the throne – the toilet – what do you expect me to do? Keep a bucket under the counter?”

"It must have been a big shock to you all" |
As he rings up her purchase on the till, he comments, “What happened to Cai on the trip was awful – it must have been a big shock for you all.” Diane is very grateful that Cassie found him in time.

"Is it true what people are saying?" |
“Is it . . . true what people are saying? That Dani gave him those tablets?”

"Starting rumours like that doesn't help anyone!" |
Diane angrily reprimands him that starting rumours like that does not help anyone,

"I'm very worried about Dani" |
but Colin is very worried about Dani. Diane leaves the shop, assuring him that she has no idea where Cai got the tablets. However, Colin has the last word;

"They were Dani's tablets, weren't they?" |
“They were her tablets,” and Diane has to agree that they were.

"What's wrong with the tap?" |
Iolo arrives at the Deri, where he is welcomed by Kath; he asks what is wrong with the tap.

"If I knew that, I wouldn't have phoned you" |
“Well, if I knew that, I wouldn’t have phoned you,” she answers. He will go and have a look at it, but is offered a cup of tea first.
“Listen, I was sorry to hear about Cai,” adds Kath, “How is he?”

"He's still in hospital" |
Iolo says that he is still in hospital and she assures him that she will help in any way she can.

"Double espresso, is it?" |
Then Eleri comes in and Kath assumes that it will be a double espresso as usual.

"I'm going to Italy" |
However, Eleri is on another mission this morning; “I’m going to Italy to see Dad tonight,” she tells Kath, “He wants to know if you’d like to come, too.”

Kath does not answer |
Kath looks at her, but says nothing.

Sioned looks at her phone |
At the farm, Sioned is looking at her phone; Mathew asks her if Jac and Lili are all right and she says that they are with Elinor.

"You'll have them back in an hour and a quarter" |
“I just miss them,” she sighs and he points out that she will have them back in an hour and a quarter.

He takes her hand . . . |
He takes her hand to reassure her,

but then thinks that he has overstepped the mark.

"About what happened the other night . . ." |
“Listen,” she begins, “About what happened the other night . . .”

"We don't want to ruin that . . ." |
Mathew has also been thinking about that and confesses that they should not have kissed; she appears rather disappointed by this reaction, as he continues that they are friends and they do not want to ruin that.

“We’ve got too much to lose if, you know, things didn’t work out,” he goes on

"Just what I was about to say" |
and she lies that she was about to say exactly the same thing. He is pleased that they understand each other.

"Those blinkin' surveyors!" |
This touching moment is rudely interrupted by the arrival of Howard, who is shouting, “Those blinkin’ surveyors are here again! They stick their noses into everything!” He peers out of the window at them and Sioned thinks that she should go out to talk to them.

“I can go, if you want, to save you having to deal with them,” says Howard;

Mathew has not missed that |
Mathew does not miss the fact that Sioned puts her hand on Howard’s shoulder as she also looks out.

"What are you doing here?" |
On his way to the Fflamingos van, DJ finds Ioan sitting on the fire escape and demand what he is doing there.

"Some of the boys have been arrested" |
“Today’s delivery will be bigger – we’re shifting things around,” he is informed, “Some of the boys have been arrested!”

"I'm sure they won't talk" |
DJ immediately looks along the road to where the ‘workers’ are still operating by the bus stop; they go out of sight behind the Fflamingos van, where Ioan is sure that those arrested will not talk,

"He doesn't know anything about it" |
but they need to be careful. He sees Jason talking nearby and adds that he will need to be careful as well.
DJ reveals that Jason does not know anything, or he would have gone straight to the cops;

"The boss won't be happy you lied!" |
Ioan regards that as a good thing, considering the situation, “But the boss won’t be happy that you lied!” he adds, then slips away.

"You'll have to lock up on your own . . ." |
Jason approaches, looking very pleased with himself, advising DJ that he will have to lock up on his own tonight;

". . . Ifan's coming for the weekend" |
“I’ve just found out that Ifan is coming to stay for the weekend.”
Inside the Deri, Kath tells Eleri, “Whatever’s happened between you and Jinx, you don’t have to run away.”

"I'm not running away, Kath" |
Eleri is adamant that she is not running away, but that it is a holiday.

"How long are you going for?" |
“And how long are you going for?” is the next question,

"I'm not sure about that" |
the answer to which is that Eleri is not sure. “You and Brynmor always run away when you have a problem,” Kath points out, but is told that Eleri has not come there to discuss it with her.

"Do you want him to book one flight or two?" |
“I just want to know if you want Dad to book one flight or two.” Iolo has finished his tea and is about to fix the tap; he overhears the conversation. “He still still loves you, you know,” Eleri adds

“Yes – and he’s still getting you to do his dirty work for him – you’ve taken his place on the company board, haven’t you?”

"It was too good an opportunity" |
Eleri maintains that it was too good an opportunity to turn down,

"When will you stop letting him control you?" |
but Kath continues, “When exactly are you going to stop letting him control you?”
“OK, if you change your mind, the taxi’s leaving at 5:45pm,” says Eleri and walks out of the Deri.

DJ warns Jason, “Don’t forget, there will be a delivery of cardboard trays later,” and Jason is doubtful that they need any more, but is told that it is better to have too many than not enough.

Then Jason’s mother arrives, all ready to go and get Ifan; “I’m looking forward to it – I’ve already got a packet of sweets,”, she tells him.

Jason tells her not to give him too much rubbish before he has his tea, but she insists that a few sweets now and again will not do him any harm.

DJ suggests that Jason could go with his mother; “I can’t leave you here on your own, can I?” he protests, “The lunchtime rush will start in a minute.”

Jason tells Diane that he cannot believe his son is coming to stay for a whole weekend, and she reminds him that he has proved himself to Sara.

She says that he deserves it, but he protests that he would not have been able to do it without her help. She will not take any credit, but describes it as his journey;

DJ mentions to Jason that those men are back again; “Well, stop giving them free nachos, then,” moans Jason,

Sioned is cooking a meal at Penrhewl when Howard comes back in, advising that the surveyors have gone for now, apparently happy about everything. “Thank you – you’ve been amazing!” she says,

but he points out that he is just a lodger.
“You’re more than that,” she insists, “Of course – we’re one family here.”

He wonders if she has thought about where she would like to live next if she sells this place,

but she cannot even think about it at the moment, “Having to start again – just me and the twins.”

Howard is confident that she will meet a handsome bloke and move in with him;

“I thought I had met someone, but I’m not quite sure now,” she replies, “He’s not interested.”
Howard suggests that he may be just shy and Sioned considers that a possibility.

and Howard imagines that he must be quite a boy, something with which she agrees.
“Er, listen,” he begins, “What have you got on tonight?”

She replies that she will be washing onesies, which he thinks is good as he would like to have a chat with her, if that is all right.

Britt is in the kitchen and Kylie looking at her phone when Colin returns home;

“I brought this from the shop,” he announces, “Vina Rosados – we can put it in the stew.” Britt tells him not to be so daft, but to get some glasses and they will have it now.

"Why do you want to do that?" |
Colin has been thinking that they could invite Dani over for dinner, and Britt wants to know why, thinking that something else has happened.

"People are saying Dani gave him those tablets" |
“People are talking – they’re saying Dani gave Cai those tablets on purpose. One or two people have said that.”

Britt erupts in her usual manner; “Them in Y Felin, probably – blaming us for everything again!”

"Can I eat in my room tonight?" |
Expecting another one of Britt’s outbursts, Kylie asks if she can eat in her room tonight, but Colin forbids that.

Britt intends to go over to Y Felin now, but Colin is adamant that they are all eating there together tonight;

Kylie obviously does not like the way things are heading.

Iolo has now sorted out Kath’s plumbing problem and wonders whether she has any packing to do;

Kath makes it crystal clear, “Oh, he’s had a second chance – and a third and a fourth, as well. Why are you on his side, anyway?

Iolo concedes that he may be feeling a bit soft because of what has happened to Cai,

Inside Fflamingos , Jason is whistling tunelessly and DJ complains, “Do you have to? It’s like working with a canary!” but Jason continues nevertheless.

Ioan is hanging around outside, so DJ tells Jason that he will not be long, as Sioned is on the phone.

“What do you want again?” he snarls and is told that they have a problem.

“One of the boys who has been arrested has done some deal with the cops – he said too much – locations, what goes where.”

In that case, DJ is convinced that they need to cancel the drop-off, but Ioan says that the bloke is not answering.

“It has to be stopped – what if the cops are around the place?” DJ panics,

"The boss says to stop here, no matter what" |
but Ioan gives him the boss’s instructions, which are to stay there, no matter what.
“You’re not going to see me around for a while, OK?

"I'm not waiting around for the cops!" |
“I’m going anywhere but here – I’m not waiting around for the cops!”
“So you are going to disappear and leave me to face the music?” DJ gasps; he is told that in this business it is every man for himself. Ioan then makes himself scarce,

as DJ shouts after him, attracting the attention of the men allegedly working near the bus stop.

At Penrhewl, Howard announces to Mathew that he has almost finished the present for Sioned; “Do you want to come and have a look?”

Mathew replies that he will do so later. “But not a word, mind – we don’t want to spoil the surprise – I can’t wait to see her face.”

Mathew asks, “Who are you – and what have you done with Howard? Look at that smile –

“you’ve usually got a face like a wet weekend! What’s going on, then?”

Howard believes that Sioned likes him and is asked whether she said that; “Well, yes – more or less – I’m going to ask her out tonight.”

Mathew is somewhat surprised by this.

“Don’t you think it’s a good idea?” demands Howard.
“I didn’t say that – but if you think it’s a good idea, then go for it,” Mathew advises. Howard maintains that he cannot wait any longer; she is starting to think he is going off her already.

Mathew wishes him good luck, but looks rather dejected.

DJ makes up the excuse that he has to go because Jac and Lili are ill; “That is why Sioned phoned.

“Please, Jase – Sioned is struggling with them on her own!” he lies, with Jason agreeing that family comes first.

As DJ hurries away, Diane arrives at Fflamingos, informing Jason that she left Ifan at home with Dai, as he was shattered;

The atmosphere around the dinner table in the MFC flat is rather frosty; Kylie appears to have lost her appetite.

Britt moans, “I just can’t believe he’s been so selfish – trying to kill himself, knowing that Dani was in the same hotel!

Kylie asks to go back to her room, but is told by Colin to stay there and finish her dinner. Britt goes on, “I’m just worried about Dani, that’s all.”

Colin takes issue with her there; “Dani? Are you serious? Or are you looking for an excuse to pick a fight with the Whites?

Howard lays the table for dinner and asks Sioned if the children enjoyed themselves with Elinor.

She reports that they are both sound asleep now, and it does not appear that they missed their Mami, which she finds rather disappointing.

“What was it that you wanted to discuss?” she asks,

Howard is reluctant to say anything |
but as Mathew is also in the room, he is very reluctant to say anything. “It’s all right – you can say whatever you have to say in front of Mathew,” she assures him,

“We’re one family, remember?”

"I've been thinking about those surveyors . . ." |
Howard has to think quickly and comes up with, “I’ve been thinking about these surveyors – they haven’t been to the top field and they might be back tomorrow. I think it would be a good idea to check the fences tomorrow morning to make sure there’s nothing they can flag up.”

Sioned agrees wholeheartedly with that, and enquires whether that was what he wanted to discuss.

Meanwhile, Matthew sits in the armchair, looking depressed; Sioned will now go and sort out the onesies.

Now, the washing-up is in progress and the argument is continuing;

“I haven’t said anything wrong!” insists Britt.

"All you're doing is creating more hatred towards Cai" |
Colin points out that Dani is trying so hard to work through her grief and all Britt is doing is creating more and more hatred towards Cai.

"What happened to Seren was his fault!" |
“I don’t need to do that – everyone knows what happened to Seren was his fault!” she yells.

"What about Garry, then . . ." |
Then Colin demands, “What about Garry, then? Oh, no – we’d never blame him, would we?”

"He only wanted to talk to his son" |
She points out that Garry only wanted to talk to his son.
Kylie is becoming increasingly troubled by all this, as Colin reminds Britt, “Nobody would have been in that warehouse if it wasn’t for him!”

Kylie begs them to stop this arguing,

"What if Dani knew what he would do?" |
but Colin goes on, “Open your eyes, Britt, for once in your life, for God’s sake! What if Dani gave Cai those tablets, knowing exactly what he would do?”
Britt maintains that she would not do that; “Are you sure about that?” he demands.

Britt shouts vitriolically, “Well, it’s a pity she didn’t finish off the job properly!”
“Keep your poison to yourself – no one wants to listen to it!” rages Colin.

By now Kylie has resorted to using headphones to try and block out the shouting.

"Do you want cheese on it, Iolo?" |
Jason is serving Iolo at Fflamingos, and asks whether he wants cheese on it.

"Ah, another box of napkins" |
Iolo walks away as a man brings a small box and places it on the counter; “Ah, another box of napkins,” says Jason.

Suddenly a horde of police descend |
At that moment, two police vehicles arrive, much to the astonishment of Iolo who is walking away. The man who has just delivered the box tries to make a run for it,

The deliveryman is apprehended . . . |
but is apprehended by a large number of police officers.

. . . while Jason is handcuffed |
Other officers go to Fflamingos van and Jason demands what is going on as he is being handcuffed.

"Supplying controlled drugs" |
A female officer, DS Thomas, advises that Jason is being arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs and issues the usual caution.

The 'napkins' box is opened |
Iolo is still standing nearby, looking very confused, as one of the officers open the box of ‘napkins’ and finds the drugs.

Diane comes upon this scene |
Diane comes around the corner and wonders whatever is going on, as Jason protests that this is nothing to do with him and there has been some sort of misunderstanding.

He begs his mother, “Can you say something, please?”

but she cannot.

At the other end of the High Street, away from all the sirens, Eleri is about to leave in a taxi; the driver puts her case into the boot

Eleri assumes that she is not coming; “I don’t think that you should leave either,” Kath remarks,

“Your father is a bad influence on you – stay here, yeah? I’m sure you can sort things out with Jinx – if that is what you want.”

"Thanks for the advice – bye, Kath" |
Eleri thanks her for the advice but she will not be taking it and wishes Kath goodbye.

The electrically powered taxi leaves the village.

Jason is escorted to the police car, still protesting that this is nothing to do with him; “Mam, you have to believe me,” he wails,

Peering cautiously from the end of the alley, DJ is pleased to have escaped – for now.
