Maya is just collecting her coffee from Geraint in the Deri when DJ comes in with some cakes from ‘Tamed’;

“I wanted to see you,” he says, which causes Maya some concern. “We need a new first aid box for ‘Tamed’ – have you got anything? I don’t want to faff about online.”
She will put one aside for him;

"Sioned wants me to go home" |
then he receives a text message from Sioned, who wants him to come home for some reason. He has also had two missed calls from her, so he had better go.

"Cassie can pay for these another time, Ger" |
He tells Geraint, “Cassie can pay for these another time.”
Jinx is also on the phone, receiving some good news from the police; he can return to his house.

Ieuan come in after visiting the toilet and asks how he is;

Ieuan sympathises, “Good news? Moving back into number 9?

“You’re braver than me – that place is cursed, considering all that’s happened there.” He asks for the menu,

Anita comes out of the shop and meets Mathew and Rhys walking along the road; she tells them that she has enjoyed her weekend in London. “The hotel was lovely – we saw all the sights – Buckingham Palace, the West End, Soho.”

Rhys wonders what she was doing in Soho

"We had a lovely meal there" |
and is told that they had a lovely meal there; “It was a fantastic weekend!”

They predict that it will be impossible for her to shift the new stock, but she regards them as prophets of doom.

“There’s no need to worry about me – I’ll be fine!” she insists, as she stalks off.

Rhys is still wondering what they were doing in Soho.

"Are you all right?" |
DJ has hurried home as soon as he could and asks Sioned, “Are you all right? What happened?”

"I'm ovulating!" |
Her reply is that she is ovulating and she thought they could . . .
“Whoa now, Sioned – that’s why you wanted me to come back?

"You'll still be ovulating tonight" |
“You’ll still be ovulating tonight,” he protests,

"I might not be" |
but she imagines that perhaps she will not be. “Listen, I think we should talk about this,” he goes on.
“What is there to say? We’ve both agreed that we want to try for another baby,” she says.

He has a lot on today and has a car full of cakes to deliver; he also needs to clear the kitchen at ‘Tamed’.

Sioned is afraid that he has changed his mind, but he assures her that it is not the case.

Jinx steps gingerly into number 9, where the Christmas decorations are still hanging;

then approaches the back door. However, at the last moment,

At Griffiths’ house, Anita is sorting out this, allegedly, last order and complains when Ieuan arrives back late, just after three. “Where on earth have you been?”

He replies that she knows very well he was at the Deri, having lunch, and points out that he had invited her to come with him.

"Someone had to do the food shop" |
“Someone had to do the food shop,” she moans as she puts the beauty products into various bags. When he asks for a cup of tea, she tells him to put the kettle on himself; “There’s a lot of stuff here – and you told me you would help me shift it.”

He says that he will when he has the time. Anita demands when that will be; “Before or after you’ve stuffed yourself in the Deri? Can you help me now, please?”
He tells her that he is confident she will manage to shift the stuff, as she always has done before;

“Nose to the grindstone, as Mami used to say!” Anita is not impressed.

"Why do we take Bara Brith over?" |
As they walk past the Deri, having called to see Colin, Sioned queries, “I don’t know why we take Bara Brith over when someone’s died.” DJ describes it as tradition, and she suggests, “Because currants help with grief?”

They still cannot believe what has happened to Colin.

"Let's pop in here" |
As they pass the pharmacy, Sioned wants to pop in;

she asks Maya, “I was wondering if you had any folic acid in stock – DJ and I have decided to try for another baby.”

Maya is rather taken aback |
This comes as an unpleasant surprise to Maya and Sioned thinks that folic acid would help.

"Have you talked to your doctor?" |
“Yes, of course – have you talked to your doctor about taking it? You should probably get a once-over first – get your blood pressure and things checked. “

“I could do it for you now, if you want – the consultation room is free.”

Sioned is not sure about that, but DJ encourages her and will wait for her outside.

Maya does not look happy about the news and Sioned is hesitant.

Another thing which the police have left at number 9 is a brown tarpaulin in the kitchen, which Jinx is attempting to fold up.

Suddenly Dani appears behind him, which gives him a great shock; “You almost gave me a heart attack!” he exclaims.
Dani tells him that the door was open and she had been told by Griffiths that he was allowed back.

“Home, sweet home,” he groans and she offers to help him, providing there are no rats.

"I've got half an hour" |
She has half an hour before picking up the children and they begin folding up the tarpaulin.

Jinx is very tense; “Sorry,” he says. Dani appreciates that it is hard to come back there after everything that has happened,

but he replies, unconvincingly, “I’m all right.”

"Why don't you stay with us?" |
“Why don’t you stay with us if this place makes jumpy?” Dani suggests, but he says that he cannot camp on her sofa for ever – and they are already like sardines in that house.

“I have to come back here one day,” he reminds her.

The result of the blood pressure test is good,

but Maya asks, “What’s going on, Sioned? This baby business all of a sudden – it’s not some kind of reaction to what happened, is it?”

Sioned is adamant that nothing did happened, but Maya goes on,

“You and I both know that’s not true – and the next thing I know you’re trying for a baby.”

“DJ and I were always going to try again,” Sioned insists, but Maya regards it has rather a coincidence they are doing it now.

“I don’t know what you think happened, but I’m not gay!” Sioned emphasises, “We’re friends – and I will always be grateful for what you did on that rugby pitch.”

Maya is undeterred; “If you’re struggling with your sexuality – I struggled at the beginning, too.” Sioned makes it very clear to her that she is with DJ and she wants to be with DJ.

Sioned walks out, leaving behind her folic acid tablets. (Presumably the rest of the pharmacy has been unsupervised during this time.)

Jinx is removing the Christmas decorations, then sits down on the sofa;

Anita is complaining again; “I’ve been the phone for hours and no-one is interested in hosting a ‘Meddal’ party!” Ieuan thinks there must be someone she can persuade,

but Anita groans, “No – everyone says the same thing – ‘We’ve got enough stuff to last months’.”

He suggests that she could pretend that she has some new products; “Who would be any the wiser?”

She moans that he is not helping; if he was, she would be able to find new customers.

As he pours himself a whisky, he comments, “What if people heard that a councillor and businessmen like me was selling massage oil to people?”
She protests that he has changed his tune;

Jinx’s phone call was to invite Mathew and Rhys round to number 9; “I can’t imagine those two in Soho,” says Jinx, but Mathew maintains that sort of thing will suit Griffiths.
“I’m sure he was gutted that Anita was with him!” Rhys laughs, “Otherwise he’d be in that lap-dancing club.”

When they come back inside from their garden viewing, Rhys says, “What I can’t believe is that we all thought Gwyneth was normal.” It is pointed out that they do not know for sure that Gwyneth did it.

“Listen, about earlier . . .” But before anything else can be said, the phone sounds and Maya has to take the call.

However she seems very reluctant to answer it.
Maya needs to end things with Delyth (sooner rather than later).
