As Cassie drops a Tesco effervescent high-strength vitamin C tablet into a glass of water, Kath comes into the room, looking very much under the weather.

“What happened last night, Cassie?” she asks.

"Champagne and tequila happened" |
“Champagne and tequila happened last night – what came over us?” Cassie replies, and Kath trots out the usual response that she is never drinking again. “And that karaoke machine is going in the bin,” Cassie instructs her.

'I can't remember going to bed" |
Kath cannot remember going to bed and is embarrassed to be informed that Mark took her; “He said that we were as bad as each other – we need to grow up and stop behaving like children!” This makes the pair of them laugh,

They are not keen to do any cleaning |
and Kath imagines that they will have to clear up the place now, but neither of them seem particularly enthusiastic to do so.

Gaynor has cooked a special breakfast |
At Maes-y-Deri, Gaynor has prepared breakfast for Cheryl, who wonders if her top is smart enough for the job.

“Should I lose the earrings? Kath asked me to be there at 11, but I’m going early to clean – after last night.”
Gaynor invites her to sit down and enjoy the special breakfast, but Cheryl does not know how much she will be able to eat as she is so nervous.

She looks rather dubiously at what has been placed before her, as Gaynor realises, “A lot of my stuff is still at Llwyncelyn – I think I’ll pop over there while you’re at work.”

Cheryl finds it impossible to eat; “I’m not a big fan of fish anyway – and the thought of having it for breakfast . . .”

“I have to go – I can’t bear to sit around,” protests Cheryl, “Thanks, though, I really do appreciate it.”

Iolo is preparing Greta’s lunchbox at Y Felin when his father comes downstairs; “Greta wants pancakes for breakfast – do you want some?” he asks.

“It depends – have you decided if you still want us to live here yet?” is Iolo’s reply.

Siôn protests that he cannot choose between Iolo and Cai, as it is not fair,

so Iolo says that he and Greta will move out. “We don’t have a lot of choice, Dad.”
Siôn will have a word with Cai and warn him to control his temper, but is told that there is no need; “I’ll pop over to Tomos ac Ellis.”
His father insists that Cai is vulnerable; “And my daughter is adjusting to living without her father,” counters Iolo,

He goes on that he was checking if they were open;

“Why? We don’t have anything of value,” is Mathew’s response, “I heard that you were back after being ‘away’.”

Howard can see that good news obviously travels fast on Cwmderi.

and as he goes into the shop, Howard remarks that he looks awful.

When Kath eventually comes down to the bar, she has a considerable shock when she finds

The riddle is solved when Cheryl walks in, commenting, “You’re still alive then. I thought you might need a lie-in this morning.”

Cassie asks how she got in, hoping that she did not leave the door open overnight. “I got some keys from Kath last night,” is the answer.

Kath makes it clear that last night was special; “That’s never happening again – never.” Cassie agrees that it will not happen again while they run the place.

Cheryl now needs to go to get more bleach; “That tequila didn’t agree with someone’s stomach last night,”

then suggests that as Cassie looks rather pale, that she might as well get a bacon sarnie while she is out. Cassie would like that.
Kath turns to Cassie and instructs her, “Say it then!”

to which Cassie answers that she was the one who was sick in the toilet.

Cassie concedes that she has been very good so far, but now she needs to lie down as the place is spinning.

At APD, Mathew notes down Howard’s order, remarking that there is a lot of work to do at Deri Fawr.

Mathew agrees and will deliver it as well; “Delivery is free if it’s over £200.” Howard is shocked that it is so expensive, and as he turns to leave,

Mathew relates that he was drinking tequila with Cassie and Kath last night, so Iolo considers him lucky to be alive.

“I’m about to order chips and onion rings – and I didn’t drink last night!” says Iolo, “This week has been pretty . . . it was Greta’s birthday. She’s all right, but we have some really bad days when she asks and asks where Tyler is.”
