"What a lovely surprise!"

“What are you doing here, Ricky?” Kath exclaims, “What a lovely surprise!”

Ricky hugs his gran

He hugs his gran and then his father,

"I thought you couldn't come"

who thought he was unable to come.

"I couldn't miss Mam-gu's wedding"

“I couldn’t miss Mam-gu’s wedding,” says Ricky, and Kath is disappointed that Liam, Vicky and Nicky are in Spain;  “Yes, Mam’s getting married today,” he adds, which causes Mark some concern.

"You're here – that's what is important"

Kath points out that what is important is that he is there, and declares that no-one is going to spoil their day.

"It's rather a shock, that's all"

Mark apologises that it is rather a shock, that is all, and Ricky confirms that the car is waiting, so they leave the house, with him pushing the wheelchair.

"My own personal nurse!"

“My own personal nurse!” comments Kath.

Mark is in a state of shock

Mark is in a state of shock.

"Why did you drop the charges?"

In the village, Dani notices Jaclyn and demands if she has spoken to Dylan;  “He’s out today because you dropped the charges – why?”   Jaclyn  does not want to talk about it,

"Should I let him see Gabriel?"

but Dani continues, “Can he come and see me?   Should I let him see Gabriel?”

Jaclyn replies that he does have rights;

"I warned you that you wouldn't get rid of Dylan"

“I warned you that you wouldn’t get rid of Dylan if you kept that baby – you made your decision –

"You have to live with the consequences"

“you have to live with the consequences,” and she walks away.

"The type of house I want has changed"

Cai is approaching as Rhys comes out of Tomos ac Ellis;  “I wanted to tell you that the type of house I want has changed,” he says, and Rhys suspects that now he wants a bachelor pad.

"I'll need room for the kids, too"

“Yes, but I’ll need room for the kids, too.”

“Have you considered Monk Mews – the flats being developed at Seilo Chapel?   Some of them that would suit you,” replies Rhys, and will get some details for Cai.

"Look out now, is it?"

“Look out now, is it – now that you’re single?” and Cai laughs that he has not seen anything yet.

Jaclyn looks through her contacts

Jaclyn is looking through the contacts on her phone and selects Jinx’s number;

"I'm not going to the clinic – I can't do it"

she leaves a message, “Jinx, I’m not going to the clinic – I can’t do it.   I don’t know how this will work, but you will have to give me time.

"I'll contact you when I'm ready"

“I’m catching the 8:00pm train to London, so I’ll contact you when I’m ready.”

Brynmor and Cassie wait for the ceremony

At the wedding venue, with Pachelbel’s Canon playing in the background, Brynmor is sitting by Cassie, his ‘Best Woman’.

Mark brings Kath in . . .

Mark wheels his mother in,

. . . and Andrea has her walking frame

and Andrea brings in the walking frame, adorned with flowers;

"You can do this, Kath"

she assures Kath that she can do this.

"Hold this for a minute, Mark"

Then to Mark’s amazement,

She gets on her feet . . .

his mother awkwardly gets up from her wheelchair,

. . . watched by Ricky . . .

as Ricky watches,

. . . and makes slow progress

and slowly proceeds up the aisle.    Mark looks very proud of his mother,

Brynmor is overjoyed to see her

and Brynmor is happy to see her, as a song plays in the background;

An appropriate song plays in the background

“There’s something about you that I can’t explain.

Something about you that makes my heart beat.”

Cai's children are visiting

Cai is now accompanied by his children as they approach the shop;  “Mam said not to give Twm anything fizzy – he was sick in the car on the way,” says Lleucu, so her father remarks that they will not go to the sweetshop.

"I feel better now"

Suddenly Twm alleges that he feels better,

Hywel is surprised to see them

and at that moment Hywel emerges from the shop and looks at them;  “I haven’t seen you for such a long time,” he says, “You’re just like your mother,”

"You know my mother?"

and Lleucu is surprised that he knows her mother.

“Do you remember anything about living here? he asks, but she does not, neither does she remember him,

"You were very young when you left"

and he remarks that she was very young when she left.

"He's a bit creepy!"

When he walks away, Lleucu tells her father that he was a bit creepy, then Twm sees Ffion and shouts to her.   They have only come for the day, and Ffion reminds them to make sure their father spoils them.

"He refused to buy me an iPad"

He’s refused to buy me an iPad already,” Twm complains, “My friend told me that’s the perk of parents getting divorced.”

"Arwen would love to see you"

“Well, if you’re looking for something to do, you're welcome to come over – Arwen would love to see you.”

"I expect you would like to see Dad"

Lleucu imagines that she would like to see her father, assuming that they are friends.   Cai thanks Ffion for the offer, but maintains that he has big plans;

Cai makes excuses

he has had plenty of time to practise on the Nintendo Switch.

"I haven't done this before"

As they prepare for the ceremony, Brynmor points out to Kath that he is rather nervous because he has not done this before.

"Just say how lovely I am"

She advises, “Don’t worry, just to say how lovely I am, and you’ll be doing all right, OK?”

"You never think before opening your mouth"

He takes a piece of paper from his pocket and begins, “Kath, I had no idea how miserable my life was before I met you.   You’re wild, noisy, and you never think before opening your mouth . . .”

"I think he wants a divorce"

Ricky comments to his father, “I think he wants a divorce before they’re even married!”

"I'm head over heels in love"

“. . . but I wouldn’t change you for the world.   For the first time in my life, I’m head over heels in love.   I promise to spend the rest of my life protecting you, listening to you, sharing whatever I have with you –

"I promise to put a smile on your face every day"

“and I promise to put a smile on your face every day.”

"My turn now, is it?"

Checking to make sure that he has finished, Kath takes her turn,

"I just wanted a bit of fun"

“Er, well, when I joined that dating app, I just wanted a bit of fun to be honest.   I never thought I’d be standing here now with the opportunity to get married again – and to my best friend.

"I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you"

Brynmor, I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, because not only have you made me fall in love with you, you’ve made me love myself as well.

"I'll remind you that I'm the boss"

“But, I will remind you, every day, that I’m the boss!”

This causes some laughter

This causes some giggles among the onlookers,

"I can't help it – I'm going in!"

and Kath adds, to the celebrant, “I know I have to wait for you to say, but I can’t help it – I’m going in – come here!”

She kisses Brynmor

and she kisses Brynmor.

Jaclyn's bags are packed

Jaclyn is all ready for her departure with her bags packed and makes a phone call;

"Dyl, I want that £20,000!"

“Dyl, where are you?   You’re late – I want to leave!   I’m not going anywhere without that £20,000!”

An intruder has appeared

Suddenly, Gwyneth appears in the kitchen;

"£20,000?   That's what you're worth, is it?"

“£20,000?   That’s what you’re worth, is it?” and Jaclyn is very frightened.

"I didn't know you'd been released"

“I didnt know you’d been released,’ she says, and Gwyneth replies that it was a couple of weeks ago;

"They didn't have enough evidence . . ."

she has done her time for the drugs, but they did not have enough evidence to prove that she killed Jessie.

". . . because I didn't do it – Dylan killed her!"

“Do you know why they didn’t have enough evidence?   Because I didn’t do it – I learned a lot about your little brother while I was in jail – Dylan killed her!”

"He's going to pay for what he did to me!"

Gwyneth walks menacingly towards Jaclyn, but is told that it is not her fault;  “He is the one who should be sorry, and you know what?   He will be sorry, because he’s going to pay for what he did to me!” she snarls.

Dylan is back in the village

A taxi arrives in the village, and Dylan gets out;  he looks around him as the taxi pulls away and heads straight for the door of number 10,

He is just going to knock on Jaclyn's door . . .

but before he can knock,

. . . when he notices Dani, with Gabriel

he notices Dani with the pram, outside the Deri.   He walks resolutely in that direction.

"I can understand why you're angry"

Inside number 10, Jaclyn can understand that Gwyneth is angry, but she has things to do,

Her escape bid is thwarted

and tries to make a dash for the door, but is stopped by Gwyneth, who informs her, “You’re not going anywhere!”

"I need answers!"

Jaclyn is roughly pinned against the wall, and told, “You have to stay – I need answers!

"I'm here for Dylan . . ."

“I’m here for Dylan – I don’t want to hurt you.   We’re going to wait quietly for him.

" . . .but if you don't behave . . ."

“But if you don’t behave, I’ll have to hurt you.”   Jaclyn shrieks with terror.

"Lleucs wanted to see Arwen"

Cai is at Cysgod y Glyn, with the excuse that Lleucs wanted to see Arwen,

"Oh yeah?"

but Ffion does not believe a word of that.   She confirms that Jinx is not home, and she does not know where he is;  she sees less of him these days.

"He's still angry about you and me, then?"

“Oh, he’s still angry about you and me, then?” Cai assumes, but she assures him that Jinx is not angry, so he maintains that in that case he must be sulking.

"I know about you two – Mam told me"

Lleucu comes in and asks, “Are you two flirting?   I do know about you two – Mam told me.

"I'd better start saving up for therapy!"

“You’re all so embarrassing!   I’d better start saving up for the therapy I’m going to need.”

"I'd better grow up"

Cai comes to the conclusion, “I’d better grow up,”

Ffion agrees with that

and Ffion nods her agreement to this.

"Don't try to flirt with me at school"

“So don’t even try to flirt with me at school, do you hear?” he goes on.

"I was wondering when you'd turn up"

Dani is pacing up and down, very worried, when Dylan comes in;  “I was wondering when you’d turn up,” she groans.   He knows what she said last time about staying away, but stresses that things have changed.

"I've changed Dani"

He takes off his jacket and alleges that he has changed;  “I’m free – I’ll do everything the way you want –

"Anything to see Gabriel"

“anything to see Gabriel.”   She complains that he should have said he was coming, but he was scared of her response.   “I’m not here to cause trouble, I just – please – I want to see my son.”

"You can have half an hour"

Dani replies that she will allow him half an hour;  she will go to get him,

Dylan smirks

and he smirks, then gets out his phone to contact Jaclyn, but only gets her recorded message.

He does not leave a message

He decides not to say anything.

Jinx plugs in his phone

Jinx arrives back at Cysgod y Glyn and plugs in his phone, as it appears the battery is flat.

He finds a note from Ffion

He finds a note on the table

She and Arwen have gone to the cinema

to tell him that Ffion and Arwen have gone to the cinema, then, as he looks rather confused, his phone sounds

Then he listens to Jaclyn's message . . .

and he discovers the message from Jaclyn, that she is not going to the clinic, but will be catching the 8:00pm train to London.

. . . and hurries from the flat

He hurriedly leaves the flat, without his phone.

"You're usually Dylan's number one!"

At number 10, Jaclyn is now securely tied to a chair, as Gwyneth taunts her, “You’re obviously not at the top of his list – that must hurt.   You’re usually Dylan’s number one, aren’t you?”

"He's gone to se his son"

Jaclyn imagines that he has gone to see his son,

"I wanted to see my sone for months!"

and Gwyneth growls, “I wanted to see my son for months as well,” and when Jaclyn says she is sorry about that, is ordered, “Stop apologising for him!   Why did he shoot you?”   The reply is that it was complicated, and then there is a knocking at the door.

She stops Jaclyn from screaming

Gwyneth prevents Jaclyn from screaming, and outside, Jinx wonders why there is no reply;

"I wanted to say that I'm sorry"

he shouts through the letterbox that he understands why she does not want to answer the door, but wanted to say that he is sorry;  “And thank you.”

"How long have you and him been such good friends?"

Gwyneth demands, “How long have you and him been such good friends?” and is told that it has only been a couple of weeks.   “He’s one of my best friends – well, he was – I haven’t seen him for years.”

"I tried to get Dyl to tell the truth"

“I promise you that I tried to get Dyl to tell the truth – that it was nothing to do with you,” says Jaclyn,

"You knew – and left me to rot in jail?'

and Gwyneth realises that she knew, and still left her to rot in jail.

"He forced me!"

“He forced me – I said I didn’t want to get involved,” Jaclyn insists.

"Unless he goes you £20,000!"

“Until he gives you £20,000!” screams Gwyneth, who is told that she is welcome to the money.   “I don’t want his money – you could have helped me – done something about it, but you didn’t!”

"Don't kill me – I'm pregnant!"

Jaclyn begs, “Don’t kill me!   I’m pregnant.”

With a wild, murderous look in her eyes, Gwyneth replies, “Do you expect me to believe that?

"You'd say anything to save your own skin"

“You’d say anything to save your own skin.”   As Jaclyn continues pleading,

"Stop screaming!"

Gwyneth snarls that she has had enough for today and yells at Jaclyn to stop screaming.

"923 days since I last saw Gwern!"

“923 – that’s how many days have passed since I last saw Gwern!   Have you any idea how it feels to wake up every morning, knowing you won’t see your child for months?   No-one thought about that – no-one cared about Gwern.

"I didn't come here to kill you . . ."

“If you’d just said something, you could have saved me.   I didn’t come here to kill you,

". . . but you're not giving me any choice"

“but you’re not giving me any choice.”

The evil Gwyneth

As Jaclyn emits an ear-splitting scream, Gwyneth glares at her with a look of unmitigated evil.
