As a car drives past, Rhys is sitting on the bench in the back street, looking at his phone; we see that he is recording another video.

“Hi, everyone – as you can probably see I’ve got a hangover again, and I’m feeling a bit low. I know my relationship with alcohol isn’t completely healthy – and I know how bad things can get.”

| He is opposite Cysgod y Glyn |
He glances across at Cysgod y Glyn, which is opposite, and goes on, “Because my ex-partner was an alcoholic – she tried to hide it from me – she almost lost her job – she almost died.

| "I'll feel better tomorrow" |
“I’m just trying to remind myself why I feel like this – I’ll feel better tomorrow.
 |
| "There are people in far worse situations" |
“And I’m so lucky that a hangover is the worst thing I have to deal with – there are people out there in far worse situations.”

| He looks across at the house |
He stops the video there and again looks at Ffion’s house.
 |
| "I thought you'd still be in bed" |
Mark walks straight into Llwyncelyn, and had assumed that Gaynor would still be in bed; “I would be if I retired.” She points out that he could have posted the letters through the door,

| "I have to scan these in front of you" |
but he insists, “No – that’s where you’re wrong – I have to scan these in front of you — the Queen has said!

| "It must be important" |
“It must be important.”
He puts the letters down on the table, and Gaynor asks whether there was something else,

| Mark takes the hint |
so he takes the hint that it is time for him to leave the house.
 |
| Gaynor is very worried . . . |
She looks anxiously at the letters,

| "This is lush, Cassie" |
At number 9, Tesni is looking at a black and white top which Cassie is giving to her; “This is lush – are you sure you don’t want anything for it?” she asks.

| "Just taking up room in the wardrobe" |
Cassie replies that it is just taking up room in the wardrobe, and declares that the days of showing the tops of her arms are over. “You should wear what you like!” Tesni insists.
She is told that is easy for her to say, at her age;

| "Make the most of your figure" |
“Listen to Auntie Cassie – make the most of your figure, or you’ll look back and regret it.”

| "You know when I thought I was pregnant . . ." |
Tesni rather awkwardly refers to what they were talking about the other day, when she thought she was pregnant;

“Well, I’ve been thinking and I’ve made a decision.” Cassie anticipates that she is going to finish with Siôn,

| "I want to have a baby with Siôn!" |
but Tesni explains, “No – I want to have a baby with him!”

| That comes as something of a shock |
which is met by a stern look from Cassie.

| "You need caffeine in the morning . . ." |
In the Deri, where Geraint is once again behind the bar, Wilko has ordered a cup of coffee; Ffion comes in and remarks, “Oh, you’re like me – you need caffeine in the morning. Where would we be without coffee?

| ". . . I drink gallons of the stuff" |
I’m terrible – I drink gallons of the stuff – and it will get worse, because I’m officially starting as the new head of the school tomorrow! You must be the same with late nights.”

| "Caffeine affects performance" |
On the contrary, the DI replies that he likes to have one coffee a day, as caffeine affects performance.

| Brynmor has something to show Wilko |
Then Brynmor comes in, and asks him to drop in at Maes-y-Deri later; “I want to show you something interesting.”

| "Why does he have to be so dry, then?" |
As Ffion goes back to the table, she asks Jinx, “Why does he have to be so dry, then?”
 |
| "You don't still fancy him?" |
and he hopes that she does not still fancy him. “No – but he could at least be civil,” she moans,
 |
| "Seriously, what's wrong with me?" |
“Seriously, what’s wrong with me? I’m a professional woman – I’m intelligent – I’m funny, but every time he looks at me, it’s as if he doesn’t see me.”

| Jinx's attention is elsewhere |
Jinx is taking no notice as he is intently studying his phone and listening to Rhys’ latest video;

| "Oi! I'm talking to you!" |
she tries to gain his attention.

| "Rhys talks about you" |
“Have you seen it? Well, Rhys talks about you.”
 |
| Ffion does not like what she sees |
She finds this rather disconcerting.
 |
| "I forgot I'd borrowed it" |
Gaynor goes to Y Felin on the pretext of returning a book, ‘Tra Bo Dwy’, [a murder mystery by Gwen Parrott] and had forgotten that she had borrowed it. She asks how work is going,

| "I'm rather stuck with the novel" |
and Siôn admits that he is rather stuck with his novel; he can see that she is worried about something.
 |
| "Do you remember I said I was adopted?" |
“Do you remember me saying that I was adopted? Well, something came through the post this morning – and I think it’s my original birth certificate,” she tells him.

| "So you can find who were your natural parents" |
Siôn realises that she can find out who her natural parents were.
 |
| "Do you really want a baby?" |
“Do you really want a baby?” Cassie demands, “You’re too young!” Tesni gets up and is about to leave,

| "I thought you would listen to my reasons" |
complaining that she thought Cassie would at least listen to her reason. “All right – explain your reason,” she says.

| "Society tell us when to have children" |

| "What's the point waiting?" |
so Tesni continues, “What’s the point waiting to have a career and then interrupting it to have kids?”

| "You've got plenty of time" |
“You’ve got plenty of time – you should enjoy yourself,” is Cassie’s advice, and Tesni knows that she wants a family one day,

| "I might not be healthy enough in ten years" |
but might not be healthy enough in ten years to have children – the colitis might mean she was too ill.
Cassie can see that she has given the matter some serious thought; “More than I did – but there is one element you haven’t mentioned – Siôn.

| "Does he want a baby – at his age??" |
“Do you really think he wants a baby – at his age?”
 |
| "He would be perfect, Cassie" |
Tesni stresses that Siôn would be perfect; “He has the experience, the stability – and he’s kind.”

| "They'll pack up and leave when they've had enough" |
Cassie rather cynically warns that they will pack up and leave when they have had enough, kind or not. She asks if Tesni really wants to be a single mother in her twenties,

| "Siôn would never do that to me" |
but Tesni is convinced that Siôn would never do that to her.

| "You should have this conversation with him" |
“In that case, you should have this conversation with him, not me,” Cassie advises her.

| Wilko arrives . . . |
Wilko arrives at Maes-y-Deri,

where he is shown a coronation mug for King Edward VIII;

Kath interrupts to ask, “Wasn’t he fat – with eight wives?”

Wilko explains that Edward is the Queen’s uncle, who was king for a year, but was never crowned.

| "That's why this mug is so rare" |
Brynmor continues, “That is why this mug is so rare – I would like you to have it, to thank you for your help the other day. Ignore the chip – it’s still worth a lot.”

| "How much, Brynmor?" |
Kath wants to know how much it is worth, and Brynmor estimates a few hundred; he is surprised at what people throw away.
In view of this, the DI has to refuse the offer as there are new anti-corruption rules that he must not accept anything worth more than £100, but he does thank Brynmor for showing it to him.

Kath is obviously making plans about what she can do with that mug.

| "I never wanted to know" |
At Y Felin, Gaynor confesses that she has never wanted to know who her biological parents were; “Even when Lois gave Gwen up for adoption, I was determined to keep that door closed. I don’t know – it might make me sound very cold.”

| "I'm sure you had your reasons" |
Siôn is sure that she had her reasons.

| "But after losing Izzy . . ." |
“But then, after losing Izzy, I started to think more about them – then when the post arrived this morning, I looked at them for an hour and I thought, ‘No – I’m just going to put them in a drawer,

| "Have you discussed it with Hywel?" |
Siôn asks if she has discussed the matter with Hywel, but she does not know where she would start, as he is unaware that she was adopted. She considers it better to keep some things secret.

“Sorry, Siôn, you don’t want to listen to me going on about my problems. How are things with Tesni?”

| "I'm half expecting her to leave me" |
He replies that he is half expecting her to come to her senses and to leave him, but it has not happened so far; “Are you going to open those letters, then?”

| "I break into a cold sweat just thinking about it |
Gaynor does not know, and breaks into a cold sweat just thinking about it.

| Ffion walks past the inoperative doggie parlour |
As Ffion walks along the street, she encounters Rhys; “What right do you have to talk about me in your videos?” she demands,

and when he says that he did not name her, she adds, “Everyone knows who you mean!

| "This is the last thing I need!" |
“I’m starting as headteacher tomorrow – this is the last thing I need!”

| "I have to be honest with my followers" |
He argues that he has a responsibility to be honest with his followers;

| "Who do you think you are – Jesus Christ?" |
“Followers? Who do you think you are – Jesus Christ?” she exclaims, “Please don’t talk about me again – all right?”

| "Where do you see this relationship going?" |
Over the lunch table at Y Felin, Tesni wants to ask Siôn a question; “Where do you see this relationship going?”
He admits that he has been expecting that question, and states, “I consider myself extremely lucky to have you –

“so if you’re happy to go out with a bearded old man, I’m happy to go out with a pretty young woman.”

After a pause, she announces, “I want a family one day – I think we’ll make great parents.”

Siôn asks what timescale she is referring to,

and she answers, “In the next year,”

| He had not bargained for this |
which causes him some shock.

| "I think you should know where I stand" |
“Sorry – I know it’s a lot and I don’t expect an answer now – I just think you should know where I stand,” she says, and with a confused look on his face, he says he is glad that they can discuss those things.

| He stands in a state of confusion |
He will go and make a cup of tea.
 |
| "You invited him over for dinner" |
Brynmor muses, “It’s a shame Wilko couldn’t accept that mug – do you think I should do something for him?” Kath says that he has been over once for dinner, and Brynmor is convinced that he is lonely, living on his own like that.

“It’s not much fun being single.”
Mark, who has just boiled the kettle in the kitchen, comments, “Try being single while living with your mother and her fancy man!”

His mother tells him to change the record, and wonders where her cup of tea is, as she is dying of thirst.

When Mark brings in the tea, it is in the coronation mug,

| "You can't put tea in there – it's worth a fortune!" |
and Kath objects, “You can’t put tea in there – it’s worth a fortune! Didn’t you hear what Brynmor said – that bloke wasn’t coronated. That’s unique!”

Mark laughs, “Unique? Is that why there are loads for sale online for £2?” Brynmor points out that it is over a hundred years old, but Mark goes on, “Everyone and their grandmother had the same idea – they kept them because they’re rare,

“and now they can’t get rid of them!”
Kath believes that Wilko did not want the mug anyway, and orders Mark to take the tea back;

| Gaynor stares at the letters |
Gaynor is sitting at the table, staring at the two letters in front of her when Hywel comes in, complaining about his fellow councillors.

| "What do you have there, Gaynor?" |
He quickly realises that something is wrong and asks what she has there.
 |
| "I was adopted when I was a little baby" |
“My birth certificate – I was adopted when I was a little baby,” she replies, “Sorry, Hywel – I should have told you years ago. I wasn’t going to tell anyone . . .”
 |
| "What do you already know?" |
He insists that she does not have to explain, and wonders what she already knows.
 |
| "We never discussed it as a family" |
“We never discussed it as a family,” Gaynor admits, and cannot make up her mind whether to open the letters or not;
 |
| "Will you do it?" |
“Will you do it?” she whimpers.
 |
| Rhys is sitting on another bench . . . |
Rhys is sitting at the end of the alley,

looking at his video, when he is spotted by Jinx, who comes across the road and says, “I understand why you need to be so honest on social media –

“just don’t tell Ffion! Do you feel better after releasing that?”
Rhys answers that he felt good after the previous video, about his mental health;

| "There's something not quite right about this video" |
“But this hasn’t had half as much of a reaction – there’s something not quite right about this video.”
Jinx emphasises that there is more value to something than the number of people who watch it;

| "One of the most popular videos is a panda cub sneezing" |
“One of the most popular videos ever is a panda cub sneezing,” and he comes to the rather trite realisation, “That shows you’re not as cute as a baby panda!” Rhys does not feel any better.

| "I hope I didn't scare you, Siôn" |
Siôn comes downstairs at Y Felin, and Tesni hopes she did not scare him earlier;

| "Aren't you rather young to have children?" |
he wonders if she is rather young to think about having children.
She says that she is a lot older that her mother was in the same position;

| "You're not getting any younger" |
“And I don’t want to be cruel, but you’re not getting any younger – if we are going to do this, we don’t want to wait too long. At the moment I’m healthy, I don’t have a career – we might as well do it now!”

| "There are arguments on both sides" |
Siôn says there are arguments on both sides, and she insists she does not want him to feel under pressure – this is not an ultimatum;

“I just thought it was important for you to know how I feel.

“I’m going now – you need time to think things through. I love you.”
 |
| "Are you sure about this?" |
“Are you sure about this?” asks Hywel, as he holds the birth certificate, and Gaynor nods her head.

| "The name given to you is Lily Jane Thomas" |
“Well, you’ve got the same birthday, 5 November. Your biological mother’s name is Elsie Thomas and your father is Henry Thomas. The name given to you is Lily Jane Thomas.”

| "I like that" |
She rather likes the sound of that, and tells him to go on.
“It says you were given up for adoption when you were ten days old, but it does not say why.”

| Gaynor looks disappointed |
Gaynor looks disappointed,

| "You were born in Wrexham" |
and he adds, “You were born in Wrexham.” She had always thought of herself as being born in England, and remembers that she went to a conference in Wrexham; she quite liked the place.

| "Ten days old" |
“Ten days old,” she muses, “So Elsie raised me for ten days before giving me away for ever – I’m sure she had her reasons, whatever they were.”

| "She might still be alive – you could ask her" |
Hywel points out that she might still be alive, and Gaynor could ask her,

| Gaynor is apprehensive |
but she looks very apprehensive about that.
