Gwyneth brings a cup of tea

Tesni is sitting on the floor in number 9, and Gwyneth brings her a cup of tea;  “Are you thinking about yesterday?   

"You're probably angry with Dylan"

“You’re probably angry with Dylan for spoiling your plans,” she says, but Tesni thinks that it is better that she did not say anything.

“I thought you were desperate to get things off your chest,” Gwyneth continues, and Tesni sighs that it is not just about her.   “Look, you can always tell me,” adds Gwyneth.

"I need to think about Dad and Guto"

“I know, but I need to think about Dad and Guto,” Tesni replies.   

Aled arrives

Then Aled comes in through the back door and Gwyneth says she is popping out.   

"I have to go back to London later"

He says he is sorry that he has to go back to London later, for work.   She wonders if perhaps she should go back to London with him;  “There’s nothing here for me any more – can you wait until tonight to give me a chance to pack and say goodbye to everyone?”   

"It's the least I can do"

He answers that it is the least he can do.

Dylan stares into space

Dylan is lying on the sofa in the Deri flat, staring into space, when Cassie comes upstairs with some post for Dani.   

"She's not here"

“She’s not here,” he grunts, “She’s gone to stay with a friend and taken the kids with her.”   

"How are you?"

Cassie regards that as unfortunate timing and asks how he is.

As he does not reply, she comments, “That’s how people feel after a funeral – you build yourself up and then you feel like you’ve been punched.   Do you want a coffee?   Why don’t you have a shower?”   

Dylan remains silent

Dylan says nothing, 

"I'll leave this here, then"

so she leaves the post on the table and goes back downstairs.

"Next to the bin round the back"

Tyler has taken the purse to Tegwen, and she wonders where he found it;   “It was next to the bin round the back,” he lies, “There’s no money in it, but all the cards are there.”   

"The rugby tickets are still here!"

She finds with amazement that the rugby tickets are still there;  “Thank goodness – Ken has cried every night since I lost them!   You must take something small to say thank you,” but Tyler will not accept anything, 

"Buy a couple of hotdogs at the next match"

telling her to use the money to buy hotdogs for the two of them at the next match.   

"I could kiss you!"

She is so grateful that she could kiss him.

"Have to seen the bike keys, Mark?"

Meanwhile at Maes-y-Deri, Mark arrives as Brynmor is looking for the keys for the bike, 

"I fancy a little spin"

and searches in various drawers, saying, “I fancy a little spin.”   Mark recommends that he gets one of those whistling keyrings to avoid this rigmarole.   

He feels in his jacket . . .

Brynmor feels in the pockets of his jacket hanging on the chair, 

. . . and behold – the missing ring

and incredulously discovers the missing ring.

"So that's where it was hiding!"

Mark feigns surprise, “So that’s where it was hiding!”   Brynmor is certain that he has already searched all his pockets, but Mark laughs, “You didn’t do a very good job, then.”

Brynmor is adamant that he would never have put it there, “But, to be honest, I don’t care!”   

"I'm better than OK – I'm great!"

When Kath comes into the room, he tells her that he is better than OK – “I’m great!”

"Was that Brynmor?"

She looks puzzled and asks Mark, “Was that Brynmor?”

Gwern and Guto head towards the bus stop

Gerwyn and Guto are walking slowly along the street with their rucksacks 

Tesni comes out of number 9

when Tesni comes out of the door of number 9;  “I don’t like to leave you on your own,” says her father, 

"Come to Bolivia with us"

“Come to Bolivia with us – we’ll have an amazing adventure!”

"I'm going to London with Aled"

She announces that she is going to London with Aled, and Gerwyn wonders when she decided this, and whether this is really what she wants to do.   

“Well, OK – come out to see us soon – Al sounded keen yesterday.   By the way, where’s all our stuff from number 10?   

"More importantly, where is Mam's stuff?"

“And more importantly, where’s Mam’s stuff?” Guto asks.   She replies that she took some stuff to a charity shop and the rest to the dump.   

Guto is angry about this, but she says she thought it was best;  

"Giving Mam's stuff away – How stupid is that?"

“Just giving Mam’s stuff away?   How stupid is that?”   Gerwyn reprimands him for speaking to his sister like that, and she protests that it is just stuff.   “It’s Mam’s stuff!” Guto shouts, “Does being sorry make everything OK?”

"What's going on?"

Gwyneth comes out to investigate the commotion and is told, 

"She gave all Mam's stuff away!"

“She gave all Mam’s stuff away!”   

"I did keep some of it"

Gwyneth reveals that she did keep some of it, as Tesni’s head was all over the place, and that she thought she might change her mind.

“There is a box of her things – do you want to see it?” Gwyneth tells then, and they go inside, just as Mark and Tyler come out of number 7.

"We almost tripped over this outside"

In the Deri, Cassie is clearing up some cups, when Mark and Tyler come in, carrying a box, which Mark says they almost tripped over in the street.   

"This is the stuff Eifion's been stealing!"

She discovers the bottles which had gone missing, and gasps, “This is the stuff Eifion’s been stealing!   

"Why has he dumped it on the doorstep?"

“Why has he dumped it on the doorstep?”

"He might not be the thief"

Mark suggests that perhaps it was not him, “He might not be the thief,” 

Tyler is getting worried

which earns him a furious look from Tyler, but Cassie is quite convinced that it was Eifion – she knows his type.

“What happened to ‘Innocent until proven Guilty’?” Mark enquires, but Cassie wants to know who else would steal from there – who else would have the opportunity.   Mark continues that she does not want to wrongly accuse him.

"Why are you taking his side?

She looks at him and demands, “Why are you taking his side?” 

"I know what it's like to be wrongly accused"

and Mark stresses that he knows what it is like to be wrongly accused – and it is no fun.

"You should have seen the look on his face!"

Tegwen excitedly tells Mathew, “You should have seen Ken’s face when I said I had the tickets!”   

"And you went to the school to tell him?"

Mathew is surprised that she went up to the school just to tell him;  “I wasn’t going to wait until 3:30pm!” she replies, “And I had a big cwtch!”

“Well, at least we know that Sioned didn’t steal your purse,” he says, 

Tegwen has her doubts

but Tegwen is not so sure about that.   “What – throw it in the bin after stealing £20?   Sioned has more class than that,” he maintains, “Kids did it, guaranteed.   

"Don't you think you owe her an apology?"

“Don’t you think you owe Sioned an apology?”   

Tegwen eats a crisp

In lieu of an answer, Tegwen picks up and eats a crisp. 

"It's the lucky microphone!"

Going through the box of mementos, Guto comes across the ‘lucky microphone’, which Gerwyn thinks she won in ‘Can i Cwmgwili’ [sing in Cwmgwili], but Guto points out that she came second in that.   

"The winner went off with one of the judges"

“She had a rant because the winner went off with one of the judges.”

Gerwyn remembers that she had one too many vodkas when she said that, 

"Can I keep this?"

and Guto would like to keep the microphone.   “Take whatever you like,” Tesni tells him, and then they find a bracelet which Gerwyn gave to Jaclyn when she was 21.   

"You keep it, Tes"

He tells Tesni to keep it.

How Gerwyn wants to remember Jaclyn

Gerwyn selects a photograph of the family in the Deri;  “This is how I want to remember her,” he says, 

"We'd better get our skates on"

“Right, we’d better get our skates on if we want to catch that bus.”   

"Don't start me off again"

Tesni is going to miss them, and does not want them to set her off crying again.

A hug from Guto 

Guto will FaceTime her the minute he gets off the plane, and gives his sister a hug; 

"Thanks for not saying anything"

then her father also wants a cwtch.   “Thanks for not saying anything about your mother,” he tells her as Gwyneth comes downstairs.

"Thanks for keeping that box"

Gerwyn thanks her for keeping the box and leaves the house.   

Tesni is in tears

Tesni is now in tears.

Tyler vacuums the campervan

Tyler is vacuuming the campervan as Eifion approaches with his bags;  

"You're a cleaner now, are you?"

“You’re a cleaner now, are you?” he jokes, and is told that he is doing Jason a favour, as the van is being rented out tomorrow.   

"Yes – to me – I'm going up to Scotland"

“Yes, I know – to me – I’m going up to Scotland,” Eifion advises him.   

"Have you got everything?"

Iolo approaches to check that Eifion has everything.

"You're going away with him?"

“You’re going away with him?” Tyler demands incredulously, “You’ve started seeing each other now, have you?   Thanks for telling me!”   

"Can you look after Greta for two weeks?"

Iolo asks if Tyler can look after Greta for two weeks, as his father is unable to do so.

Of course, Tyler protests that he is far too busy, and Eifion wonders what he is doing.   “Mind your own business – right?   I can’t have her for two weeks – end of!”   

Iolo concludes, “If you can’t have her, I can’t go,” 

"Greta could come with us"

but Eifion makes the suggestion that Greta could come with them, as his sons would love it.   

"I can't go two weeks without seeing Greta!"

Now Tyler is whingeing that he cannot go two weeks without seeing her, and is told that they will FaceTime every day.

"You don't want her to miss out, do you?"

“Come on, Ty, you know she will love it – she’s never been to Scotland – you don’t want her to miss out, do you?”   Tyler grudgingly agrees, and Iolo will go and pack a bag for Greta.   Eifion tells Tyler that they will send him a postcard, 

Tyler is planning his revenge

but Tyler is obviously scheming.

Tegwen brings a peace offering

Mathew and Tegwen have gone to Penrhewl, where Tegwen gives Sioned a packet of scones;  “So is there any chance of my girlfriend and my best friend making up?” Mathew enquires.

"Perhaps I should apologise for saying you're skint"

Sioned thinks that she should apologise for saying that Tegwen is skint, 

"I am, most of the time"

but she admits that she is most of the time.   “I shouldn’t have said it, so I’m sorry,” says Sioned, “Perhaps I’ve got you wrong – you must be OK if he’s fallen for you.   

"Do you want jam with these?"

“Right, sit down – do you want jam with these?

"They're supposed to be hanging on this hook"

At APD, Jason is searching for the campervan keys;  “Where is it?   It’s supposed to be hanging on this hook – there’s no sign of them anywhere.   Have you seen them, Anita?”   She wonders why she should possibly know where the keys are

"You have a habit of moving things"

and he points out, “Because you have a habit of moving things – I have to find these keys – 

"Eifion and Iolo are picking it up first thing tomorrow"

“Eifion and Iolo are picking up the campervan up first thing.”

"Do you think it's a good idea?"

Anita still does not think it is a good idea to let Eifion go all the way to Scotland in the van;  “You might never see him again!”   

"But Iolo can be trusted"

Jason reminds her that Iolo is also going, and he can be trusted.

"I haven't had a chance to put them back"

Then Tyler comes in and is asked if he has seen the keys for the campervan;  he takes them from his pocket, remarking that he has not had the chance to put them back, and replaces them on the hook.

"Your little girl with Eifion, of all people?"

Anita looks suspiciously at him;  “Are you happy, then, knowing that your little girl is going to Scotland with Eifion, of all people?”   

"No, I'm not happy, Anita"

Tyler makes it quite clear that he is not happy, 

"You'll have to think of a way to stop them"

and is urged by Anita to think of some way of stopping them.

“Why are you so concerned about Greta?” Tyler demands, and she answers that she does not consider it an appropriate holiday for a child.   “I don’t think so either, but there isn’t much I can do to stop them,” Tyler growls.   

He picks up the keys again . . .

. . . and looks devious

and is developing a plan.

Cassie finds a card

Cassie arrives home at number 9 and finds a card on the sink, the wording on which makes her smile;  Tesni comes in through the back door, and was under the impression she was working all day.   

"You weren't going to leave without saying anything?"

“I am, but I’m on a break and I thought I would come to say goodbye, in case I didn’t see you tonight.   You weren’t going to leave without saying anything?”

"I won't be back any time soon"

Tesni replies that she does not like goodbyes, and is told that she is always welcome there, but Tesni does not anticipate that she will be back any time soon.   

"Well, you know where we are"

“If you change your mind, you know where we are – isn’t that right, Gwyneth?”

"You've been amazing"

Tesni thanks them both for being amazing over the last few days;  Cassie proposes that they have a gin.   

"Make it a large one!"

“As my best friend used to say – ‘make it a large one’!”   

"And if you ever need to talk . . ."

Once again Gwyneth assures Tesni that if she ever needs to talk, she has only to pick up the phone.

Relaxing in front of the telly

Mark and his mother are sitting on the sofa, watching the television, when Brynmor returns home, 

"Who wants what?"

announcing, “Right, a balti, a jalfrezi and a rogan josh – who wants what?”   Kath comments that they do not usually have a takeaway during the week, 

"I'm allowed to treat my wife, aren't I?"

and he argues, “I’m allowed to treat my wife, aren’t I?”

His hand is in good working order

She notices that his hand is better, and he demonstrates that it is in perfect working order, complete with its ring.   

"What's come over him, Mark?"

“What’s come over him?” she asks, “He hasn’t said a word for days,” but Mark advises her not to worry.   She is convinced that something is going on.

“Why don’t you enjoy yourself and stop worrying about everything?” suggests Mark, 

"Have a poppadom and go with the flow!"

“Have a poppadom and go with the flow!”   

"So we can have the sofa to ourselves"

Brynmor asks for some assistance from Mark, and requests that he go home early tonight;  “So that your mother and I can have the sofa to ourselves.”   

"You're putting me off my curry!"

Mark jokes that the thought is putting him off his curry.

Anita is ready for her early night . . .

At number 10, we see that Anita has been prescribed some ‘Zopiclone 7.5mg’ sleeping tablets, the box being clearly marked ‘one tablet to be taken daily – do NOT exceed the recommended daily dose’.

. . . and takes her Zopiclone tablet

She is all ready for another night in the campervan and takes a tablet, washed down with some water.   

But, on second thoughts . . .

Then she hesitates, and thinks that, to be on the safe side, 

. . . might as well have another one

she will take another one, 

Off she gets to the campervan

picks up the keys and leaves the house.

Dylan emerges from the Deri . . .

Dylan rushes out of the Deri, 

. . . to see Aled loading the taxi

to see Aled packing Tesni’s luggage into a taxi;  

"You're not going, are you?"

he runs along the street, shouting, “No!   You’re not going, are you?”

"I've got nothing to say to you"

Aled has nothing to say to his father, but is told, “You can’t behave like this under the circumstances.”   Aled makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with his father and gets into the taxi, 

"Aled, Aled!"

but Dylan hammers on the window.

"You wanted to manipulate me!"

Tesni comes out of the house and snarls at him, “You got what you wanted with your performance yesterday.”   He says that he was upset, but Tesni goes on, “You wanted to manipulate me – you’re toxic!   

"You only love yourself!"

“You only love yourself!”

"You're the one we should have buried yesterday!"

She also gets into the taxi, telling Dylan, “You’re the one we should have buried yesterday!”   

Dylan is stunned . . .

He stands there, looking stunned, 

. . . as Tesni and Aled leave the village

as the taxi drives away.

The tablets seem to be taking effect

Round the back of APD, Anita is sleeping soundly in the campervan 

A hooded figure appears . . .

when a hooded figure, carrying a green plastic bag, comes round the corner.   

. . . gets into the van . . . 

Tyler opens the driver’s door, gets in and starts the engine.   

. . . and drives away

Anita of course is unaware of what is going on, as the van drives off.

Dylan looks in the bathroom mirror . . .

Dylan looks at himself in the bathroom mirror 

. . . and has a shave

and begins shaving off his beard.

Anita sleeps . . .

The bumping of the van along the road does not wake Anita as it proceeds along a track 

. . . as the van stops

and stops in a field gateway.   

Tyler dons gloves . . .

Tyler puts on gloves, takes the can of petrol which was inside the green bag, 

. . . and splashes petrol around

and begins to splash it all over the exterior.   Anita finally awakens 

Anita is woken by the smell . . .

and peers out of the window, 

. . . and finds herself in unfamiliar surroundings

only to see an unfamiliar countryside view.

The empty petrol can is thrown away . . .

Tyler throws the empty can under the campervan 

. . . and a match is lit

and lights a match.
