Howard is walking across the farm yard with a wheelbarrow and looking rather pleased with himself; he meets Sioned who has taken the twins for a walk and reports that they have fallen asleep at last.

Eileen comes out of the farmhouse and greets the twins, “How are Mam-gu’s little babies?” Sioned says that they are tired, like their mother and she does not want Eileen to wake them;

"I think I got two hours' sleep" |
she thinks that she got two hours’ sleep. Her mother warns her that it will be like that for a while.

"Did you want anything?" |
Sioned asks, “Did you want anything?”

"Malcolm wants us to sign the agreement" |
and is told that Malcolm has phoned, wanting them to go and sign the sale agreement with Quantum Hydro Works.
Sioned can see that things are moving quickly; “We can go now, if you’re free,” Eileen suggests, “But we’ll have a cup of tea first to celebrate.”

As she takes the twins into the house, Mathew comes out. “I heard about the sale agreement – congratulations,” he tells Sioned,

Sioned does not look very enthralled |
but he can see that she is not 100% happy about it.

"I think this is an excuse for a celebration" |
He tells Howard, “I think this is an excuse for a celebration,” but Howard thinks she does not look as if she wants to celebrate.

"She won't want to leave the children" |
“She’s tired – she doesn’t get a second to herself. Let’s organise a night out,” Mathew goes on, but Howard is doubtful that she will want to leave the children.

"We could invite people over" |
“You could be right – let’s invite people over to surprise her,” is Mathew’s next idea, which Howard does not think is a particularly good one, but Mathew maintains that she could do with having some fun.

"I'm not going to say no to a couple of pints" |
“OK, then – I’m not going to say no to a couple of pints!” Howard concludes; Mathew will sort out the guest list and leaves him to deal with the food.

Siôn comes into APD, where no-one appears to be working;

"What do you want?" |
he finds Iolo, apparently assembling his own order, who asks what he wants.

"I wamt to apologise" |
“I want to apologise,” says his father.

"For lying, or because you were caught?" |
“For lying, or because you were caught?” enquires Iolo. Again, Siôn insists that he is truly sorry, but Iolo angrily points out that he had to hear about it from Eileen.

"Eileen should not have told you" |
Siôn replies that he has had a word with her, as she should not have told Iolo. “No, you should have done!”
“I’ve said lots of times that I did not want to do it,” Siôn protests, but Iolo reminds him that he agreed. “You don’t understand what you’re asking me to do,”

"I'm asking you to save someone's life!" |
Iolo understands only too well; “I’m asking you to save somebody’s life!” but now Siôn confesses that he is scared. Iolo realises that there is nothing else to say and explains that he has work to do.

Ffion is dozing on the sofa when Hywel arrives at Deri Fawr; “How are you?” he asks, “I let myself in –

“I’m on the rota today – you don’t mind, do you?” He has brought a potted plant for her, which he explains is from Quantum Hydro Works.

"What have you got to do with them?" |
Ffion wonders what he has to do with them and he says that he has just met them with the council;

“Is this a present to silence me?” she wonders, “Perhaps you did it for them.

“You attacked me as revenge because I oppose the dam!” She is becoming increasingly upset

and he attempts to calm her.

“Am I right?” she snarls, “I don’t want you here!

“Please go, Hywel!” He agrees that he will go and she is left looking at the potted plant.

As Dani and Lleucu are cleaning at Yr Antur, Mathew comes in to inform Dani that they are inviting a few people over, if she is free.

“Sioned has had some good news – she’s at the solicitors office, signing a pretty big contract.”
Dani enquires if he will be there, and when he says that he will be, she agrees to come; he will text her with the details

and she says that she is looking forward to it. When she tells Lleucu that it will be fun,

“She did it at after-school club – I think they are lilies, because she loved them; I said lilies are the same shape as a star [Seren].” She is quite overcome with emotion, picking up her coat and bag.

Lleucu agrees that she will come tonight and that they will have a laugh. Dani is going to get some ice to help remove the chewing gum.

Hywel comes into the Deri, where Tom is drinking at the bar, and orders a pint,

but then decides to have a whisky instead.

"Someone's had a tough day!" |
“Oh yeah – someone’s had a tough day!” Tom remarks.

"Ffion accused me of attacking her!" |
“I’ve just been to see Ffion – she accused me of attacking her – she’s lost the plot completely!” moans Hywel, “I know she’s ill, but you can’t go round, accusing innocent people.”

Tom asks whether she was OK when he left her and if there was anyone else with her.

At Penrhewl, the food and drink is piled up on the kitchen table, together with some of the twins’ washing; Mathew cannot find the ‘tzatziki’. “What on earth is that?” Howard demands; he is told that it was at the top of the list – Sioned’s favourite dip.

Howard points out, “I can just about read Welsh – but not any other language!”

Then they hear Sioned’s voice and she is very surprised when she walks into the room, wondering what is going on.

She is told that they are organising a surprise for her; a few people are coming over to celebrate the good news about the contract – they thought she would prefer to stay home.

Eileen steps in to warn Iolo that he cannot do this, but he continues, “I know you don’t want to have a relationship with her – but just do it for me, yeah?”

She adds that she has not had a DVD Player since 2010 – and has other things on her mind;

He tells her to sit down, “And as you haven’t had a DVD Player since 2010, why don’t we look on one of those apps? Have you got Netflix?” He puts down the bag of food on the table, in the process knocking off the plant brought by Hywel.

Ffion tells him not to worry, as plants do not last long in the house, anyway – she manages to kill most of them.

Mathew comes in and complains about the volume of the music; “Jac and Lili are asleep – turn the music down!”

Then she staggers across to Mathew, suggesting that he should have a drink.

Eileen is not happy with the fact that he is moving in there;

He explains that it is only temporary, until Iolo comes to his senses; “What you said was right – I need to make a stand!”
Eileen maintains that hiding from Iolo will not solve his problems,

but he maintains that he is not hiding, simply giving his son some time. “I don’t think having me around helped either.”

She can see that he has brought a large amount of stuff with him; he insists that he could not leave his collection of poems by Waldo and Cynan in Y Felin. Now he will go and get the rest from the car;

Sioned is becoming more and more frustrated at the farm; she complains to Mathew, “People are in and out and nobody is closing the door – am I being paranoid?”

He replies that she has every right to be paranoid after what happened to her; he promises that he will not let anything happen to her or to the children.

Rhys proposes opening the second barrel,

Howard is remarking upon the fact that Lleucu is underage for drinking,

but Dani answers, “She’s a teenager – she deserves to be let loose.” Howard appreciates that things have not been easy for Lleucu, with her father and everything.

“I just don’t know how a parent could do that to their child!” Dani drunkenly declares,

but he says that it is hard to know what people think when they hit rock-bottom.
Just as Lleucu enters the room, Dani continues, “Don’t get me wrong – Cai has problems, I know that – but he chose to kill himself! Seren had no choice – she lost her life and he was just trying to throw his away!”

He replies that she should have a coffee, but she argues that she does not want one and manages to knock a can from the table,

Sioned explains that the reason why it is out is that Lili loves playing with it.

Mathew tries to reason with her, but she will not stop; “And why are you still using Malcolm, after what he did to me?

Matthew furiously demands, “What the hell is wrong with you?” but Dani is adamant that she is fine.

Rhys thinks that the party is over; in response she simply picks up another bottle.

As the film has come to an end, Tom asks Ffion whether she wants him to stay until Jinx gets home. She says that she will go to bed now;

When he has gone, she picks up a tiny piece of compost from the floor and looks carefully at it, but her memory will not return.

Things are now quiet at Penrhewl, with only the drunken Dani and Lleucu remaining of the guests. Mathew instructs Dani, “Just go home and sober up!” Lleucu has booked a taxi which will be there shortly and then visits the toilet.

but all he wants is for her to go; Howard is sitting silently on the sofa

“Awfully drunk, perhaps,” he replies and she thinks that she will go and talk to Sioned.

Howard advises that she should wait until everyone is sober.

As she staggers about, she realises that he is talking a lot of sense; “I hadn’t noticed that about you before.”

“That’s not a surprise – you hadn’t noticed me at all until now,” he comments.

She slumps on the sofa beside him, enquiring, “Do you think I’m a nice person?”

and he says that she is lovely.

"I don't think that's a good idea!" |
She moves forward to kiss him, but he does not think that is a good idea;

“I think it’s a good idea,” she says and wastes no time in doing so.
