and he continues, “I thought we could do something tonight – how about a film night?”
Ffion groans that she cannot be bothered;

"I've got some good news for you" |
Then there is a cheery voice from the front door and in comes Kelly, announcing, “Everyone hunky-dory today, then? Right, I’ve got some good news for you –

“you’re looking at Cwmderi’s newest entrepreneur – yours truly!”
She hands them two small boxes, informing them that they are breakfast wraps; Ffion simply sighs, “More food!”

"You're going to be my guinea pigs" |
Undeterred, Kelly continues, “I’ve taken over Fflamingo and you’re the lucky people who are going to be my guinea pigs.”

Jinx must now go, and wonders whether Ffion will be all right on her own. Ffion growls that of course she will. He takes his breakfast wrap and a croissant with him. Kelly can sense a bit of tension here.

"There's no muesli left" |
the shop flat, Siôn complains that there is no muesli left, so Eileen directs him to the granola at the back of the cupboard and enquires whether he is nervous about today. “I’m only seeing the GP,” he answers,

but she considers it quite obvious that he is nervous and there is nothing wrong with admitting it.

“You’ve been worrying for days,” she goes on

"I'm not very fond of doctors" |
and he admits that he is not very fond of doctors, despite the fact that he married one.

"You shouldn't be worrying about some huge operation" |
“I think you should start enjoying yourself,” Eileen recommends, “Not worry about some huge operation – you’re almost 60.” He instructs her to stop talking about his age, but she takes no notice,

"Look what happened to your wrist" |
“It’s true – you won’t be able to bounce back from this operation like a 20 year-old. Look what happened to your wrist.”

"That was an accident" |
He points out that was an accident, but she continues nevertheless, “All I’m saying is, we both know how short life is – we have to make the most of every minute we have. Do you really want to waste months getting over an operation you don’t want to have?” It is obvious that Siôn is taking note of her words.

"I hate feeling so dependent on people" |
At Deri Fawr, Kelly is giving Ffion a manicure as well as some facial treatment; Ffion looks at herself in the mirror and moans that she hates feeling so dependent on people.

“It won’t last for ever, will it?” Kelly tells her,

"What happens if I don't get better?" |
but Ffion wonders what happens if she does not get better – what about her job?

“There’s no reason to think that you won’t make a full recovery, OK? You just need time.” Ffion complains that she has plenty of that; she has nothing to do apart from sit there, thinking about things. Jinx is trying his best, but she maintains that he is suffocating her

Kelly’s phone rings and she finds that it is Rhys; “Yeah, I’ll be coming over later on – why? Well, I can’t come over now, but thanks for letting me know.”

She explains that it is just Rhys getting his knickers in a twist, and Ffion encourages her to go she wants. “And risk the wrath of Matron Jinx? I don’t think so,” says Kelly.

"I'd appreciate the peace" |
Ffion insists that she does not need a babysitter, while Kelly has a new business to keep her busy, “And, to be honest, I’d appreciate the peace – you know what I mean.” Kelly double-checks that she is sure before leaving.

Jinx approaches The Pizza Place when he receives a phone message and Tom is approaching at the same moment.

“I’m glad I’ve seen you,” he says, “How’s Ffion?”

"She's more like the old Ffion every day" |
Jinx replies that she is more like the old Ffion every day;

"Gaynor said things weren't too good" |
Tom had heard from Gaynor that things were not too good.
“She still gets confused – but she’s getting better,” says Jinx, but then finds that Kelly is notifying him that Ffion is now without a companion, so he asks whether Gaynor will be around later.
Tom says that she is working all day;

"Kelly had to leave early" |
“It’s Kelly turn on the rota, but she’s texted to say she had to leave early.

". . . could you go over to see Ffion?" |
“I know it’s asking a lot, but could you go over to see Ffion today?”
In view of the circumstances, this comes as rather a shock to Tom,

who says that he hardly knows her. “But it’s only a few steps from your office,” Jinx points out, “Just pop in a couple of times while you’re at work –

"I'm worried she'll remember something" |
“I’m worried she’s going to remember something while I’m not there. Or worse, that whoever did this will come back!”

Tom thanks that it might be a good idea |
This causes Tom to think that it may be in his best interests to go to see Ffion after all. When promised a large pizza for his trouble, Tom’s mind is made up. He is sure that he can postpone his meeting until tomorrow.

Iolo finds his father at the surgery |
Siôn sits anxiously in the surgery, awaiting his appointment, when Iolo comes in, worried that he was going to be too late.

“What are you doing here?” Siôn demands.

"Look, I was nervous as well" |
Iolo knew very very well that his father was worried and thought that he might like some company. “Look, I was nervous as well – but I felt so much better after talking to a professional about it – you’ll be fine.

“The doctors would never go ahead unless they're completely happy that the risk is low.”

This conversation is brought to an end as Siôn White’s name is called he goes for his appointment. Iolo will be waiting when he comes out.

Eileen comes out and stands in the doorway with her arms folded; “Worried about the competition, are
you?” says Kelly, “That’s why you wanted to buy the van.”

“I don’t think a food van is competition for Tamed!” Eileen sneers, but Kelly suggests that actions speak louder than words.

Iolo is looking at his phone when his father returns; he asks how it went and what are the next steps.

“I have to wait to hear when I can go for the tests,” says Siôn and Iolo is pleased that the process has been started, which is the important thing.

he can see that she is obviously fine, so will leave her alone. He is sorry for disturbing her.
“Sorry, I’m not angry with you – it’s just . . . everything,” Ffion groans, “You’re here now, so do you want a cup of tea? Being ill is really boring!”

He accepts her offer and he appears to be developing a new plan.

Rhys is very much aware that if she did lower her prices, Eileen would match her – as she is ‘loaded’.
“Thanks, Rhys – exactly what I needed today – a little positivity!” Kelly snarls, then he reveals what he is carrying.

Eileen comes across the road, demanding, “Why are you avoiding Iolo?” At first he denies that he is doing any such thing,

Eileen asks what the doctor said; “I didn’t mention the kidney – just that I was worried about my cholesterol level,” Siôn answers.

They walk back across the road to the deli together.

By now Ffion and Tom appears to have become friends; she asks what is his favourite film from the 80s and he immediately replies, “Top Gun – there’s no competition.”
Ffion’s favourite is Dirty Dancing – but she admits that Top Gun is in the top five as well.

He is emphatically interrupted by Eileen; “He’s not going to donate his kidney! The GP didn’t say anything, because Siôn didn’t mention becoming a kidney donor.
