"He'll be back for Christmas!" |

![]() |
"I thought Dylan wanted it for himself" |
“Whoa, now – I thought Dylan wanted the room for himself, nobody else,” Rhys protests,
![]() |

or he will phone the police.

![]() |
". . . everything's blank" |

![]() |
"I haven't seen any headphones" |
Eifion denies that he has seen them, and she adds that she was trying to adjust them; “That’s the last thing I can remember.”

![]() |
She is very confused |

![]() |
"I'm struggling, Britt" |
In the chippy flat, Colin has made little progress with the paperwork when Britt returns from her shopping trip. “Well, well, you haven’t moved,” she comments, and he admits that he is struggling. “I’ll come and help you, but I just want to put the tree up, while I’m still in the Christmas mood,” she goes on,
![]() |
"Look at this watch – Garry will love it!" |
“Hey – look at this – the watch! Isn’t it snazzy? Garry will love it.”
By this time Colin’s patience is wearing thin,
![]() |

![]() |
"No way – they'll be here!" |
Britt interrupts him, “No way – they’ll be here!” and he angrily points out that she is their mother. “She isn’t Gwern’s mother!” Britt snarls, and Colin reminds her that Dani has raised him; he is sure that they will want to spend some time with her.
![]() |
"Why don't you invite Dani as well?" |
He goes on to suggest, “Why don’t you invite Dani here as well?
![]() |

![]() |
Rhys does so |

![]() |
"I didn't want to disturb you" |
“I didn’t want to disturb you, not with Dylan moving in,” she replies,
![]() |
"Did you tell Eifion they were 'Bluetooth' ones?" |
and he wonders whether she told Eifion that her headphones were Bluetooth ones. “No, I don’t think so,” she says, and Rhys is convinced that he stole them.
![]() |
"You're not suggesting Eifion is a mugger?" |
Kelly cannot believe that he is suggesting that Eifion is a mugger, but Rhys considers, “It’s odd he just landed there without anyone seeing him.” Kelly recommends that Luned should go to A&E, but she refuses, insisting that she is all right.
![]() |
"Can Luned stay here for a while?" |
Rhys asks if Luned can stay there for a while and rushes out of the café.
![]() |
Britt is pleased with her creativity |

“No, I’m worried about you,” he continues, “That you’re going to be disappointed, get hurt, if Garry doesn’t turn up.
![]() |
"I've kept quiet for long enough" |
“I’m worried about you and Dani – you’re not being fair on her. I’ve kept quiet for long enough. She’s been very good to you over the last few years – you need to show her a bit more respect. Support, that’s what she needs, Britt, a bit of support! Christmas will be hard enough for her on her own. I think it would be easier for everyone if Garry just stayed away – he’s hurt her terribly.”
![]() |
"Garry will want to be at home" |
This has no effect on Britt; “Garry will want to be at home,” she predicts, “And he can come home, too – and do you know what, Col? If there isn’t enough room here, Dani can leave the Deri, and join Tyler and the Joneses in Maes-y-Deri.”
![]() |
"You can go to the Joneses as well!" |
Her voice rising to a crescendo, she adds, “And if you’re not happy, you can go to the Joneses as well!”

![]() |
"I think Eifion has something to do with it" |
“and I think he has something to do with it – where is he?”
Sioned says he will either be in the house or the caravan;
![]() |
"I don't think he'd mug anyone" |
“I know he’s done some stupid things in the past, but I don’t think he’d mug anyone.” This does nothing to improve Rhys’ humour and he strides off along the track.
![]() |
Eileen is very concerned |
Inside the farmhouse, Eileen is looking grim; “Where is Luned now?” she asks Eifion.
![]() |
"I thought you should know" |
He replies that she is in the café, and thought that they should know, as it happened on Penrhewl’s land. Eileen frets, “It makes me sick, thinking about a mugger around the place – what if he breaks in here?”
![]() |
"It's a good thing I'm staying in the caravan" |
Eifion does not think that will happen, but maintains that it is a good thing that he is staying in the caravan, so he can keep an eye on her and Huwi.
![]() |
"I don't think you're telling me everything!" |
Rhys marches in, points at Eifion and accuses him, “I don’t think you’re telling me everything – are you sure you only found Luned? It’s no secret you don’t like her – you lost the plot with her the other day.”
![]() |
"I wouldn't attack anyone!" |
Eifion is adamant that he would not attack anyone, but Rhys goes on, “It’s odd you just turned up, so conveniently!” Eifion protests that he uses that path every day,
![]() |
"You knew they were 'Bluetooth' headphones |
and Rhys stresses, “And you knew they were ‘Bluetooth’ headphones – Luned didn’t tell you that.”
![]() |
"Who the hell do you think you are?" |
As Eileen is looking increasingly worried, Eifion demands, “Who the hell do you think you are?”
![]() |
This is heading towards fisticuffs |
and it appears that a fight may ensue, so she shouts at them to stop.
![]() |
"We'll see what the police have to say" |
Rhys informs them that they will see what the police have to say,
![]() |
"I can't believe he's serious!" |
and Eifion cannot believe that he is serious.
“Right, I’ll go and check the sheds, in case the mugger is hiding in there,” says Eifion, after Rhys has left. Eileen is harbouring serious suspicions.
![]() |
"Is this part of a vendetta?" |
Kelly comes upstairs to the café flat, and Jason asks if Luned is all right. Worried that this attack is part and parcel of the vendetta against the café, Kelly is very concerned;
![]() |
"Upping the ante against me" |
“Well, against me, because Luned works here. Upping the ante, because the letters didn’t scare me.”
![]() |
"Aren't you being a bit paranoid, Kelly?" |
He considers that she is being rather paranoid,
![]() |
"Why else would someone attack Luned?" |
but she demands, “Why else would someone attack Luned, Jase?” He answers that they were simply after her headphones, and she should not let this upset her.
![]() |
"I want to know who's sending these letters!" |
“I just want to know who’s sending these letters,” she squeals,
![]() |
"It's just some worthless crank" |
and he suggests that it is just some worthless crank.
![]() |
"The dogs were very restless" |
At Penrhewl, Eifion reassures Eileen, “I didn’t see anyone around, but the dogs were very restless, for some reason.”
![]() |
"Stop it – you're scaring Mam!" |
Sioned tells him to stop it, as he is scaring her mother. “Don’t worry – I won’t let anyone hurt you,” he adds.
![]() |
"Where were you when it happened?" |
Sioned wants to know where he was at the time it happened; “If you’ve got an alibi, you can clear your name.”
![]() |
"You two are my alibi" |
He insists that the two of them are his alibi; he went straight from there to his caravan, and saw Luned on the ground when he was on the way to the village. He will be in the caravan, if they need anything.
Sioned is quite sure that they will be fine; “I’m here to look after Mam.”
![]() |
"I don't like this bad blood between us" |
He argues that he does not like this bad blood between them,
![]() |
Eileen is eager to get rid of Eifion |
but Eileen replies that it has been a long day and she would like him to go, which he does.
![]() |
The police seem to have arrived |
As he walks towards the door, he sees flashing blue lights and hears a police siren;
![]() |
"What on earth?" |
“What on earth?” he mutters.
