“All I want is to get you home to Dani safely,” she tells him, “Don’t worry about the gun – I’ll get rid of it – no-one will find out. But you need to trust me, Gwern – I want to help, OK?”

He has lowered the gun and nods his head.

Outside, they are all waiting anxiously, and when Dani sees Gwern, she runs to him.

and her mother stresses that she is with the specialists now, who will do everything they can.

DJ is anxiously waiting |
DJ is sitting very anxiously in the waiting room when Eileen arrives in an extremely distraught state;

“Is she all right?” she demands, but he replies that they have said nothing, although he has asked several times.

“I’ve lost John and Angela – I can’t lose her as well,” Eileen sobs, and he gets her to sit down.

“One minute she was running and the next . . . this isn’t fair – they have to talk to us, we’re her family!” he exclaims, and goes out of the door to get more information.

In the Deri, Kelly is on the phone to one of the clients; “What I’m saying, Mr Fletcher, is that they’re threatening to withdraw their offer because the problems that came up in the survey are off the scale, like.”

Rhys has come in and is listening to her conversation,

but apparently Mr Fletcher has terminated the call, which makes him laugh.

“Trouble selling Seiriol’s, is it?” he chuckles, “No way will you hit this week’s target now!”

She angrily replies that everything is fine; “I’m ahead of my target, anyway.” He recommends that she should give up now, boasting that the job is all but his.

Siôn comes in, commenting, “You can’t beat meeting a new learner – do either of you want to be a language buddy? There’s a big demand – I’m meeting another one later.”

“Seriously, Siôn – me as a Welsh buddy?” snarls Kelly, “I can’t even do mutations, let alone teach someone else.”

Rhys is again laughing, and Siôn realises that perhaps she is not such a good choice.

Then he has a message on his phone to advise him that Sioned is in hospital; “She collapsed unconscious on the rugby field – and Arwen has found Gwern.”

“Whoa – brain overload!” says Kelly, “First of all, is Sioned OK?”

He is going to phone Cai for more information. Rhys seems genuinely worried and remarks that he saw Sioned out jogging earlier; Kelly suspects concussion, but he can see an opportunity here.

At number 7, Ffion has not been able to get any more information from Cai, and tells Arwen that they will be going home in a minute.

She is in the kitchen with Gwern and asks where the gun is now, but he replies that it is sorted; “Just trust me, OK – Fielding’s sorted it, but we’re not telling anyone, OK?”

In the other room, Dani tells Ffion that he has not explained why he did it; “I don’t know where to start with him.”

Ffion suggests a counsellor, and assures her that the school will support her. Dani appreciates that.

Fielding arrives in the Deri, Maya demands where she has been; “We said half past.” ‘Delyth’ replies that she has been for a walk to clear her head.

When Siôn passes, he tells them that there is no more news about Sioned; “I heard you did really well with the CPR,” he says,
and Maya cannot get thoughts of Sioned out of her head.
