Mark brings Dani a cup of tea and advises her to get some sleep, but she cannot believe that Gwern is still missing; “I thought he’d be home by now.”

There is a knock at the door as they find that it is DS Fielding, informs them that there was no sign of him, but they are doing everything that they can.

Dani is frantic; “You’re not doing enough – he’s been out all night anything could have happened to him!” Mark wonders if they should go out searching again,

"Contact anyone who might know where he is" |
but is told that the best thing they can do is to phone him, text him and contact anyone who could know where he is.
“Have you have any other ideas about where he could be?” the DS asks

and the only place Dani can think of is Garry’s jail. The DS lets them know that Howard has been released; he was simply helping Arwen.

Fielding says that Arwen was worried about Gwern, saying that he was acting oddly.

“Odd? He’s just lost his parents!” snarls Dani; the DS will let them know if she hears anything.

A disappointing message . . . |
At Cysgod y Glyn, Ffion hears a message alert and discovers that Kelly will not be able to play this afternoon,

"Have you phoned the police again!" |
Arwen comes in and asks if her mother has phoned the police again, as she is concerned about Howard, and insists that he has done nothing.
“Arwen, please try to understand – the police have to make sure that he’s a good man,” says Ffion, but Arwen simply argues that all that is important is finding Gwern.

Then there is a message from Dani; “No news about Gwern, but Howard’s been allowed to go home.

Arwen insists that the game should be cancelled, so that they can look for Gwern. “The police said there is nothing more we can do – we’d better go.”
Arwen is anxious that her mother is not well enough to go,

Sioned is supervising DJ as he puts up the press cutting in the window of the deli; “We need more BluTac.”

He comes out and describes them as the perfect couple; they will be putting it up on Facebook next.

Ffion approaches but Sioned says that she will not be able to play today has she has too much paperwork to deal with; “I’m surprised that the game is still on, with Gwern missing.”
Ffion stresses that the club has shared the police message and she will be making a statement about it.

She begs DJ to do the paperwork, so that Sioned can play, but he replies that he has a lot of commitments. As Ffion complains, “What a shambles!” Cai comes up on the scene,

and advises DJ to do his promo work by the pitch, as there will be a lot of people from Llanarthur there.
“You could give them a few tasters,” he suggests,

He boasts that he is full of good ideas, but she is needed on the pitch.

Sioned can see a business opportunity here and agrees to play if they will put TAMED’s advert on the club’s Instagram and Facebook. Ffion readily agrees to this, so Sioned goes to get ready,

pointing out to DJ that she said that they needed more BluTac, since the newspaper cutting has already fallen down.
Cai remarks that Ffion looks as white as a sheet,

He cannot see much prospect of having a men’s team, so might as well help the women.

Ffion calls across to Maya, “All right for the game?”

Maya hopes that they will not need the first aid kit, and Ffion concludes, “At least we’ve got two players!”
“You crack me up when you speak English,” Cai remarks, so she tells him to shut up,

DS Fielding is on the phone in the Deri and is becoming rather heated; “The boy’s been missing for over 12 hours – of course I know I’m not a DI, but more needs to be done.”

Ffion comes in and asks if there is any news about Gwern, but there is none; “Arwen’s worried sick about him,” she says,

Ffion just hopes that he is safe and asks if there is anything else she can do,

She informs him that she has been to see her GP;

“I’ve been referred to a specialist, just in case – he doesn’t think it’s serious.” They order coffees from the new barman, and Ffion explains that she has not slept because of Gwern and the forthcoming game.

and Sioned discovers that Cai is their rugby coach this afternoon.

DJ is annoyed that he was flirting with her, but she comments that he flirts with everyone, and that she does not notice any more.

As she runs, she suddenly trips and falls down to the ground, lying motionless with DJ rushing to her,

as does Maya, who of course has had medical training. They call for an ambulance, as Maya reports, “Patient not responding, and I’m going to do CPR.”

When told that there is a ‘defib’ in the village she instructs them to go and fetch it.

DJ blames Cai for this, maintaining that he was pushing her too hard. Ffion is on the phone to the ambulance controller and advises that there is an ambulance on the way.

Arwen goes into the clubhouse and nervously looks around; she is soon joined by Howard and they hear a noise,

Dani is still increasingly anxious when Mark comes back and she tells him that the sighting in Llanelli was not Gwern.

A phone is ringing |
As she gets a glass of water, a phone can be heard, and she discovers that it is a call from Fielding.

“Have you found him? OK, I’m coming!” she gasps, and with that she rushes out of the house, with Mark in pursuit.

The defibrillator has arrived . . . |
Maya is continuing the CPR and the ‘defib’ has been brought, so she sets it up, while DJ continues the CPR, to try and save Sioned’s life.

“I’m going to need you to step back now,” Maya tells him, and she presses the button to deliver a shock.

In the clubhouse, Howard assures Gwern that he is not in any trouble.

“You grassed me up to the cops!” Gwern shouts, but Arwen denies that,

stressing that no-one else knows about the gun, only that he is missing.
“I promise, on Mam’s life!” she adds,

and Howard confirms that the ‘pigs’ know nothing; emphasising that they are on his side.

Gwern maintains that no-one is on his side, and Howard offers to get rid of the gun, so he can come home.

“Cwmderi’s boring without you,” says Arwen.
“The important thing is to get you out of here before the police turn up – I’ll go and check the doors,

“but be ready to move when I say so, OK?” Howard tells him.

but is told that it is Sioned who is being taken to the ambulance.

“That’s what Arwen said – and now Howard is here,” she replies, “But there is no way in – all the doors are locked.”
“The police are on the way and I’ll explain everything you said,” Fielding tells her.

Then Maya approaches and exclaims, “Delyth, it’s so good to see you!” The DS cannot talk just now, but they will speak later,

Howard goes back into the clubhouse as sirens can be heard; “You lied – the cops here!” shouts Gwern,

but it is explained that it is an ambulance and Fielding is there.
“Come on, you have to trust me – they’ll be all over the place in a minute,” Howard tells him, but Gwern insists that he is not going home, instead wanting to be taken to the bus station.

When he is told that his family is worried about him,

he answers, “I don’t have a family – Dad’s in jail and Mam’s dead!”

She instructs the others to get out, despite the fact that Howard tells her that the boy will not hurt anyone.

Gwern and the DS are left facing each other and he warns her not to come any closer.
