At the other end of the alley, Jinx, who is looking rather under the weather, notices what is going on and turns round, so as to avoid them.

Cai refers to Kelly as, “Cwmderi’s Greta Thunberg. I was expecting you to be with them.”

Jinx explains that things got a bit messy with Dani last night and all he wants now is a bacon bap. Ffion has phoned him this morning to say that Arwen had forgotten her netball kit; “Now I can’t get home, let alone to the deli,” he laments.
Cai cannot believe that he is afraid of Kelly,

but Jinx replies, “Anyone with any sense is a bit scared of Kelly.” Cai comes to the conclusion that Jinx cannot hide there all day, and that he will go and get him some bacon.
“You can’t go through the boycott,” Jinx warns him, but Cai strides along the alley and confronts the protesters.

“It’s a bit early for all this noise,” he says, and Kelly stops her shouting for a moment to tell him that it is never too early for justice; she offers him a sign. “Yes, you have been busy!” he comments.

She acknowledges that she might not be Picasso, but that it is important to make a stand; “Eileen isn’t going to get away with this hunt – it’s barbaric!”

Cai recalls that Iolo said the same thing and Kelly is rather disappointed that he is not there with them, but she believes that he is working on a top secret plan of action.

When she sees that he is about to go into the deli, Kelly objects, “You’re not going in there, are you?

He answers that he is thinking about his stomach and proceeds through the door.

Inside, Sioned and DJ are watching the protest; “Haven’t they got jobs? This hunt is nothing to do with us,” says DJ, but Sioned maintains that he is taking it too seriously. Cai comes in as DJ continues that he knew this would happen.
“Mam says that it’s all legit,” Sioned assures him,

but DJ has grave doubts about that. “I’m not wasting my time with this – come on – we’ve got work to do.”

Cai selects a pack of bacon, for which he is charged £4.

DJ begins, “Listen, I’m sorry, I didn’t realise that you were . . .”

Cai finishes the sentence for him, “Dealing with mental health problems? You can say it,” then leaves to face the angry mob outside.

In the Deri, Kath exclaims, “Have you seen the show out there?”

"Oh yes, the big protest!" |
Cassie describes it as ‘the big protest’ and wonders what is wrong with Eileen, making people angry.
On the other hand, Kath is glad that it may bring more business to the Deri.

Delyth is sitting by the bar, looking very concerned as Cassie declares that she has always taken advantage of these fools who have more money than sense.

Then she turns to ask Delyth, “Are you going to be there in your red coat? Or are you going to stand with Kelly in front of the horse?”

Delyth does not appear to know what Cassie is talking about and Kath is sure she has other things to do, preparing for this class.

“No, I could do that with my eyes closed,” replies Delyth, so Cassie asks what is wrong; “Maya,” she answers, “It’s nothing serious – just a bit awkward, you know?”

Cai has gone home with Jinx to number 9 and has even cooked his bacon, which Jinx is eagerly devouring. “I’ll be a different person after this,” he promises, “I owe you a big favour.

Cai maintains that it is the best way, to live for the moment and will now make some coffee. “How are you, after everything?” Jinx enquires, “If you don’t mind me asking.” Cai says that he is getting better, slowly, and taking each day as it comes.

“I wanted to see you to clear the air,” Delyth continues, but Maya points out that she is working and that this is not the time. “But you’ll be at the class later?”

Maya wonders whether that is an order and points out that she is not in the mood.

“Miss you, Maya – I love you,” says Delyth, as she leaves.

The volume of the protesters seems to have diminished and now they are all booing when Eileen puts in an appearance at the deli.

but Kelly considers it very important to draw people’s attention to how atrocious Penrhewl’s plans are.

“And what plans are those? What’s so terrible about breeding dogs?” Eileen demands.
Kelly points out that they are talking, not about the dogs, but about the hunt;

Eileen is adamant that it is ‘drag hunting’ and that there will no foxes anywhere near the hunt.
“Come on, Eileen, we all know what your plans are!” Kelly snarls; they are all told that they can make fools of themselves, but should shift themselves away from the door.

“I’m not dropping this, right?” Kelly warns and is angrily told that she can do what she wants, but some people have work to do.

Then Kelly sees Colin across the road and calls to him; when he tries to escape, she runs after him as the chanting resumes.

“If this is about Eileen, I don’t want to hear it,” he says, “I just want to go home and get away from this!”
Kelly apologises to him for telling Britt about his pay and he repeats that he wants nothing to do with this, insisting that Eileen is a friend.

“Are you in favour of fox hunting?” Kelly demands and he says that of course he is not.

“Well, the Rohypnol business was serious – we had to do something,” interrupts Kath. Sioned thinks that it is great they are learning how to defend themselves, but Diane cannot see Dai doing much fighting for her these days. “Brynmor’s not much use on the other side of the world,” Kath moans.

Then Delyth comes in and asks if Sioned is looking forward to it; she replies that she will just be watching, adding that it is a shame Maya cannot be there. “Yes, I know – she’s busy at work,” Delyth says.

At the gym, they have finished their workout and Cai wonders if Jinx fancies another round. “I can’t remember the last time I did so much exercise,” Jinx replies and Cai is surprised that he moved so well.

“Hey, I was pretty good, wasn’t I? I think it’s these long legs! I’ll be ready for my next black belt.”
Cai points out to him that he will be the first person in the world to have a black belt in boxing,

Colin arrives at Penrhewl and Eileen is pleased to see him, but less pleased to see that he is accompanied by Kelly;

“You know, this doesn’t make it go away,” replies Maya, “The flowers, the gifts – it doesn’t solve the problem.” Delyth acknowledges that she can be stupid and unreasonable – and that is why she has reached out to a therapist she used to see. Maya did not know anything about this.
