"I've got a lot to carry"

As Anita puts on her coat, she comments, “I think I’ve got enough stuff here to clean half of the village!   I’ve got a lot to carry.”

"Well, stop faffing and go, then"

Kelly rather irritably tells her to stop faffing and go, which results in a disapproving look from Jason.

Off goes Anita

Anita leaves for her cleaning session.

“I think that was supposed to be a hint,” he suggests,

"She wants company, doesn't she?"

“She wants company, doesn’t she?”   Kelly makes it very clear that she is not going to that house, but he points out that it will not be easy for her.

“If that’s the way you feel, you go, OK?” she snaps, then turns over some pages of the Western Post and sees something which disturbs her.

"You've got to be kidding me!"

“You’ve got to be kidding me!” she exclaims.   Jason wonders what she is talking about, and she immediately makes a phone call to the Western Post;  “Trace, put me through to the boss, will you?”

Jason can understand her surprise

Now Jason can understand when he sees what she was looking at.

Tyler acquires some bottles from behind the bar

While the place is empty, Tyler is helping himself to bottles from behind the bar at the Deri and placing them in his rucksack.   Britt is trying to convince Cassie to have a bacon roll, but she would prefer a shot of caffeine to keep her going.

Cassie remarks that Tyler is early this morning, and the cries from Gabriel upstairs provide him with an excuse;

"Don't tell Dani I was here"

“If you see Dani, don’t tell her I was here – I came over to ask a favour, but, considering the noise from upstairs, it can wait,” he says.

"We need to have another stocktake"

Cassie says there is a need to do another stocktake, which Britt does not think is necessary, as Tyler leaves, complete with his ill-gotten gains.

Then Britt looks at the paper . . .

Britt is also looking at the Western Post and comes across the same article;

. . . which she shows to Cassie

Cassie puts on her glasses to take a look,

"Someone's in a lot of trouble!"

and remarks, “Oh dear – someone’s in a lot of trouble!”

Everyone in the village seems to be looking at the same article, including Gwyneth, who has just picked up the paper in the shop.

"Congratulations, Eileen !"

As Eileen comes in, she is congratulated on her achievement, but cannot understand what Gwyneth is talking about;  “It’s not every day someone wins the Western Post Catering Competition.   It’s probably the nearest thing you’ll get to a Michelin star.”

Eileen is infuriated . . .

Eileen looks with fury at the article;  “Well, I’ll be damned!

. . . to see Britt's photo there

Did you know anything about this?” she asks Colin, and he maintains there must be a simple explanation.

“Pass me the phone!” she demands, and he assumes that she is going to contact Britt.

"I'm after this rag's editor!"

“It’s not Britt I’m after, but this rag’s editor!” she snarls.

Seren comes to play with Esther

Gaynor is applying her make up when Hywel opens the door, and Dani sends Seren upstairs to play with Esther.

"Thanks for looking after her"

“Thank you for looking after her – it’s the second time the after-school club has cancelled on me!” she complains.

Hywel explains to Gaynor that he said Seren could play with Esther,

"You're going to that trampoline place, anyway"

and is reminded that he was going to that trampoline place anyway.   Then there is a problem;

"I've got an emergency council meeting"

Hywel announces, “I’ve got an emergency council meeting.”

"I really have to go to the meeting at the bank"

Dani hopes that there is not a problem, because she really needs to go to her meeting at the bank, and Hywel tells her to go.

"I have plans – but I shall have to change them"

This of course does not please Gaynor, who has plans, and he accepts that he should have checked with her first before agreeing.   “Don’t worry – I’ll change my plans, all right?” she growls.

"I'll have to cancel today"

Distinctly unhappy about this development, she makes a phone call and is invited to leave a message;  “Sorry about this, but I’ll have to cancel today.”

From her front door, Gwyneth sees . . .

Gwyneth opens the door of number 9 to see Anita hesitating in front of number 10 opposite;

. . . Anita hesitating outside number 10

she is obviously reluctant to enter.   Gwyneth goes across.

"She wouldn't do something like this intentionally"

Meanwhile Eileen storms out of the shop, followed by Colin;  “Britt wouldn’t do something like this intentionally,” he says, but she wonders how he can say that after what the editor has just told her.

"She's got a cheek"

“She’s got a cheek!” she snarls, as she hurries up the road, and Colin rings Britt to warn her to find a bunker,

"Britt – Eileen's on the warpath!"

as Eileen is on the warpath.

"It must be difficult to go in"

Gwyneth asks Anita if she wants some company, but this is initially refused;  “It must be difficult to go in after all that’s happened,” Gwyneth continues,

Anita is soon persuaded

and Anita does not take much persuading.

They enter the house

The place has been successfully tidied up again,

"What she went through in those final moments"

and Anita remarks, “I can’t help thinking about what she went through in those final moments – the terror, the pain!”

"We can only hope he showed mercy"

“We can only hope that he showed mercy,” Gwyneth coldly replies, and Anita hopes that he did.   “You don’t know if the police found anything, do you?” she is asked,

Gwyneth asks a lot of questions

“Any clues?   They didn’t mention any leads or anything suspicious?”   Anita says that there were no traces at all, apparently

Gwyneth suggests that there is ‘negative energy’ in the house;

"I'll let you settle in"

“I’ll let you settle in, but if there’s anything you need, just ask.”

"You do reiki, don't you?"

Anita recalls that she does Reiki, and wonders if there is any way that she can clear the air in that place;  “Get rid of that ‘negative energy’ you were talking about?

"Could you do that for me, please?"

“Do you think you could do that for me, please?   I’d pay you – you haven’t got anything else on, have you?   Even if you did it for Jaclyn’s sake.”

"I'll see what I can do"

Gwyneth agrees, and as she leaves,

Anita is uncomfortable

Anita looks very uncomfortable.

Seren and Esther are looking at a video on an iPad, and Gaynor disparagingly comments, “So it’s just a video of children playing with dollies?   It’s not even professional – just kids filming things with their phones!”

Any excuse to get Gaynor upstairs

Then there is a knock at the door, and predictably it is Cai again, who explains that he has the spare bulb, which she finds rather puzzling.   “Didn’t you want help changing a bulb upstairs?”

"The children are here" . . .

She points out that the children are there, but he says that they are busy, and he wants just one little kiss.   “Come on – we’ll only be two minutes,”

. . . but that does not make much difference

and of course she acquiesces to his wishes.

Gwyneth has purchased some of the things she needs for her reiki session,

"Refreshments for the session tomorrow"

and the next shop customer is Tegwen, who has two bags of oranges.   “Topping up on the vitamin C, are you?” asks Colin, and she replies that they are for refreshments at the training session tomorrow.

"You can have them on the house"

“As they’re for a good cause, you can have them on the house,” he says.

"You'd be better off buying antiseptic, plasters and ice"

Sioned is also in the shop and recommends that Tegwen would be better off buying antiseptic, plasters and ice;  “I can’t wait to start tackling properly!”   Tegwen thinks she will frighten half the team before they have even started.

"You're not supposed to hurt each other in training"

Colin was under the impression that they are not supposed to hurt each other in training,

"I don't want to hurt people"

and Sioned says that she is looking forward to tackling people, but not to hurt them.

"So I don't have to worry about you tripping me up?"

“So I don’t have to worry about you tripping me up, and landing on my head, like you did in school?” says Tegwen, but Sioned regards that as an accident;  she thought that Tegwen wanted to forget things and move on.

"I have changed!"

“I have changed!” she whines, as Tegwen looks sceptical,

"Lois will be glad to hear that"

and Colin says that Lois will be glad to hear that, as she is sure to be interested in joining in the future.

"I'm a far stronger person now"

Tegwen makes it very clear, “I’m a far stronger person after those  experiences – I’d rather play on the same team as you than against you.   See you in training.”

Cassie lists the missing alcohol

Cassie enumerates to Britt, “Eight bottles of various spirits, a crate of beer and a box of crisps have disappeared.”

"That's worth almost £200!"

Britt points out they are worth almost £200, and is reminded, “That’s in a month – do you see why I wanted to do another stock take so soon?”

Britt wonders who would steal right under their noses like that,

"Who is the light-fingered one around here?"

and Cassie asks, “Who is the light-fingered one around here?”   She is urged not to throw unfounded accusations around.

"Don't pretend you don't know!"

Then the door opens and Eileen comes in;  “I’ve been trying to contact you!” she rages, “Don’t pretend you don’t know!   Everyone in the village is laughing about it!”

"That's good news, Eileen"

Britt points out that it is good news, winning an important prize like that, and is informed, “You had no right to take the credit like that.”   Britt maintains that they made the mistake, not her.

"I've talked to the editor!"

“I’ve talked to the editor, and he said you made no attempt to correct the judge when he came over.

"You shook his hand!"

“When he asked for Eileen – you shook his hand.”   Britt’s excuse is that he was mumbling.

“If you want to keep your job, I want you up at Penrhewl within the hour –

"With the prize and the cheque!"

“with the prize and the cheque!” Eileen snarls.

As she storms out of the pub, Britt flippantly comments, “Someone needs a sense of humour transplant!”

"Have you got some sugar, Cassie?"

Eifion asks if Cassie has any sugar on the bar, and she replies, “Haven’t you got a stash up your sleeve?”   Britt dismisses this, alleging that Cassie got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

"It was in a box in the attic"

Anita had been starting to think that Gwyneth was not coming back, but she arrives, explaining that she had everything up in a box in the attic.   She takes various things from her bag,

"That isn't that voodoo nonsense, is it?"

and Anita protests, “That isn’t that voodoo nonsense, is it?” and is asked whether she wants peace of mind or not.   “Yes, of course I do,” is the reply.

Anita is given the rather fanciful instructions

Gwyneth has written down all the words on a paper;  “You need to recite them, and move the smoke with this feather.”

"You're the one who knows how to do it"

Anita objects that it is Gwyneth who understands how to do it, but is told that it is all written down there.

“But it doesn’t say exactly what I am supposed to do with the feather – do I move it quickly or slowly?   Come on, Gwyneth, you’re the expert.”

"You're the one who has to live here"

She is reminded that she is the one who has to live there, but Anita whines, “What if I make things worse?”

Gwyneth is confident that she will be all right, and now she has to go and meet her new reiki client in Cross Hands;  “It’s easy enough – honest,” she says, “Good luck.”

Anita is not confident

Anita does not look at all reassured.

Dani returns unexpectedly

There is a knock at the door of Llwyncelyn, and Gaynor comes downstairs to answer it, checking that she has made herself presentable.   She is surprised to see that it is Dani, whose appointment has been cancelled, as the manager’s child was ill.

"Has she been behaving?"

As Dani enquires whether Seren has behaved herself,

"Hywel's meeting cancelled as well?"

she hears noises upstairs, and assumes that Hywel’s meeting was cancelled as well,

She is shocked to see Cai

but then Cai comes downstairs, which surprises her.

As he puts on his jacket he says, “Gaynor needed help changing a bulb upstairs – I’m in a bit of a hurry – see you soon.”

"Time to go, Seren!"

Dani calls to Seren that it is time to go home,

"Whether the children are around or not!"

and remarks to Gaynor, “It looks like you’re enjoying your retirement – whether the children are around or not!”

"If you steal any more stock . . ."

“A word to the wise – I’m keeping an eye on you,” says Cassie to Eifion, “If you steal any more stock . . .”   Eifion stresses that she has no proof,

"You stole recently from APD"

but she points out that he stole from APD recently, right under their noses.

Tyler is listening intently

Meanwhile, Tyler, who is sitting at the bar, smirks, and Britt insists that Eifion would not do such a thing to her.   “No, the hero can do no wrong,” Cassie groans.

“You wanted to get rid of him before he even pulled his first pint,” Britt reminds her, and Cassie points out that she needs to get the trophy and the cheque to Eileen.

"You need to get those dirty cups to the kitchen"

Not to be outdone, she is told, “You need to get those dirty cups to the kitchen.”

"I've got a plan to prove you're innocent!"

Britt assures Eifion that there is no need for him to say anything;  “I know you’re innocent – and I’ve got a plan to convince Cassie – to prove that you’re innocent!”

Hywel is apologetic

Dani is waiting for Seren to come out of the shop when Hywel approaches in apologetic mood.   “It’s a good job I came back early when I did,” she replies, and he imagines that is because the girls were falling out with each other.

"I thought she could change a lightbulb on her own"

“No, I just sensed that Gaynor had plans – mind you, I thought she could change a light bulb on her own,” says Dani, and she walks away along the street,

Hywel is confused

leaving Hywel somewhat puzzled.

"Wouldn't it be better to meet in the park?"

DJ meets Sioned in the Deri, and comments that it would have been better to meet in the park if she wants to learn how to kick.

"I've decided not to join"

“I’ve decided not to join,” she tells him,

"I don't want to pull anything – or break anything"

“I don’t want to pull anything, or worse, to break anything.   I’d be useless at Deri Fawr then.”   He points out that she was all excited this morning, but she maintains that she has just changed her mind.

"Nothing to do with one of your team-mates, then?"

“Oh, right – so this is nothing to do with one of your team-mates?” he realises, but Sioned is insisting that she does not want to get hurt.  “You’re worried that someone will put in a sly tackle on you, are you?

"You won't be able to resist doing it yourself"

“Or that you won’t be able resist doing it yourself?”

DJ advises, “Listen, you and Tegwen have history, but you have to learn to put it behind you.

"Everyone makes mistakes when they're younger"

“Everyone makes mistakes when they’re younger.”

"I was looking forward to hurting her"

She protests that she keeps making them;  “I was actually looking forward to tackling her and hurting her – just like I used to!

"Why do I have to be such a cow?"

Why do I have to be such a cow?”

"A difficult choice to make"

He diagnoses that she has a difficult choice to make;  either she can stay away and miss out, or learn to bite her tongue and think before she says anything.   “You never know, you might end up being best friends.”

"Are you that desperate to see me play rugby?"

“Are you that desperate to see me play rugby?” Sioned demands, and he predicts that she might play for Wales, and turn pro;  he maintains there is more money in it than farming.

Kelly is in a hurry

Kelly pays a visit to Penrhewl, and points out that to Eileen that she has things to do;  at that moment Britt also arrives.   “You take the award and I’ll take a quick snap,” Kelly says.

"Kelly is going to put a correction in the paper"

Eileen explains to Britt that Kelly is going to put a correction in the paper and write a double page spread to make up for the mess.

Britt is pleased that everything is all right, now that the prize is in the right hands,

"When will I get my share of the winnings?"

and asks when she will be getting her share of the winnings;  “You are going to share it with your workers, aren’t you?”

"Out – before you lose your job!"

Eileen warns her to get out before she loses her job,

Then she poses with the trophy . . .

then adopts a suitable pose

. . . for Kelly to photograph her

for the camera with the trophy.

"Changing a bulb, is she?"

Hywel walks back into Llwyncelyn and asks where Esther is;  he is told that she is upstairs.   “Changing a bulb, is she?” he enquires,

"I did try to cancel Cai today"

and Gaynor emphasises that she did try to cancel Cai today.

"I thought you were using him to make me jealous . . ."

“You know, at the start I thought you were using Cai to make me feel jealous,” he begins, but she points out that this is not about him.

". . . but you've got a problem. haven't you?"

“The thing is, you’ve got a problem, haven’t you?   Because if you can’t control yourself in that way, well . . .”

"So there's something wrong with me?"

She replies, “So what you’re trying to say is, if a woman has feelings like that, there is something wrong with her?”

"You were supposed to be looking after the children"

He denies that, stressing that she can sleep with whoever she wants, whenever she wants – but she was supposed to be looking after the children.

"Yes – the children you dumped on me!"

“Yes, the children you dumped on me,” she moans, and he is surprised that is how she is trying to justify it.

Anita is at work at number 10

Anita is busily vacuuming,

"Poor Jaclyn!"

then stops and mutters, “Oh poor Jaclyn.”   She decides to follow the instructions which Gwyneth gave her.

"I call on the positive energy . . ."

She reads the words on the card, “I call on the positive energy to clean all the negative energy and to eradicate all the memories.”

That key crashes down from the wall . . .

At that very moment, the decorative key which is been hanging prominently on the wall, suddenly falls to the floor,

. . . leaving Anita a nervous wreck

which causes her extreme panic.

She quickly grabs her keys and bag . . .

She does not think she can stand any more of this, so picks up her keys and bag

. . . to make a very hasty retreat

and rapidly leaves the house.
