Gwyneth seems to have got through that money very rapidly

Gwyneth discovers that her ill-gotten gains have almost run out and immediately makes a phone call, 

"Can someone contact me, please?"

leaving the message, “I’ve texted and texted – can someone contact me, please?   

"I need more stuff, and I need it today!"

“I need more stuff, and I need it today!”

On the other end of that message, Dylan smiles

Out in the street, Dylan smiles as he hears this message;  

"Have you seen Gerwyn?"

Sara approaches and asks him if he has seen Gerwyn.   “He said I could take the car for a service, but the garage is closed.”   Then Kath comes out of the shop with two bags of shopping;  

"You've got plenty of supplies there"

“You’ve got plenty of supplies there,” Sara comments.

"We've got a full house to feed"

“Well, we’ve got a full house to feed,” she replies, “With Mark, Tyler and now Gerwyn.   

"He's been there since he and Jaclyn split up"

He’s been there since he and Jaclyn split up.”   This comes as a surprise to Sara and Dylan, 

"Why is he staying with you?"

and Kath is asked why he is staying with her.   

"I'm not going to let him sleep in the garage, am I?"

“I’m not going to let him sleep in the garage, am I?” demands Kath.

"I knew they had fallen out"

Dylan admits that he knew they had fallen out, but Kath regards it as more than ‘falling out’;  “After she had an affair – but I don’t know who was involved.   She looks so innocent – who would have thought she would do such a thing?”

"You shouldn't judge, without having the facts"

Sara replies that Jaclyn should not be judged, as they do not know the facts;  

"You would say that, wouldn't you?"

“Yeah, well, you would say that, wouldn’t you?” Kath sneers.

"Don't go to see her, Sara"

When questioned by Sara, Dylan alleges that he thought the two of them would make up, and instructs Sara not to go and see Jaclyn.

"Tyler had a late night last night"

At Maes-y-Deri, Gerwyn has just made a cup of tea, and comments to Mark that Tyler had a late night last night.   “He has a late night every night!” is Mark’s reply.

The latest one of them collects his coat

Gerwyn picks up a coat from the sofa, and at that moment a stranger walks into the room to collect it.   Once again Mark issues instructions on how to open the front door, 

"Who was that?"

and when Gerwyn asks who it was, 

"I don't know, and I don't think Tyler is sure either!"

informs him, “I don’t know, and I don’t think Tyler is sure either!   Things have changed since our day – it’s all ‘apps’ and ‘swiping’ now!”

Tyler is told off for not locking the door last night

When Tyler comes downstairs, he is reprimanded for not locking the door last night;  “Anyone could have come in,” Mark points out, 

"You don't know who you're dragging in half the time!"

and Kath, who has just arrived home, adds that he does not know who he is dragging in half the time.   Tyler leaves for work.

"Does your mother know?"

Kath goes on, “I just saw your brother-in-law – he didn’t know that you and Jaclyn had split up – does your mother know?   

"I haven't told her yet"

“You’d better tell her – you know how people gossip around here!”   

"Yes, and I know who does most of the gossiping!"

Mark knows the identity of one of the chief gossip-mongers.

Jaclyn's baking is disturbed

As Jaclyn removes some cakes from the oven, there is a knock at the door;  Gwyneth bursts in and demands more drugs.   

"I'm not listening to this again!"

“I’m not listening to this again!” says Jaclyn, but Gwyneth warns her not to play games.

"Why have you stopped supplying me?"

“I know you’re the dealer – I just don’t know why you’ve stopped!” she rages, “I’ve phoned and texted – 

"I'm not leaving here until you give me more drugs!"

“I’m not going until you give me more drugs!    I’m a good worker – what do I have to do to prove myself?”   

She does leave when Dylan turns up

Dylan walks through the door, and Gwyneth immediately goes quiet;   she quickly leaves the house.

"What did she want, then?"

When asked what Gwyneth wanted, 

"You know what she wanted – more drugs!"

Jaclyn replies, “You know what she wanted – more drugs, and she was desperate!”   

"She made a big mistake, coming here"

Dylan maintains that she made a big mistake coming here, but Jaclyn is convinced that she was the one who made the big mistake;  

"I made the big mistake, helping you!"

“Helping you!   I’ve lost Gerwyn and the kids, and now she comes here demanding her drugs!   It’s all because of you!   And you need to sort her out, Dyl!”

He wonders how he is to do that, and she points out that it is his problem;  

"I'm not having her tell everyone I'm the drug dealer!"

“I’m not having her tell everyone that I’m the drug dealer!”   

"Look, I'm sorry about you and Ger"

He maintains that he is sorry about this, and about what has happened with Gerwyn, but is simply told to sort out Gwyneth.   He snaffles one of her newly-baked cakes, much to her annoyance.

"Iori's gone to the shop"

At Iori’s house, Brenda reports to Debbie that he has gone to the shop, and she would like a cup of tea;  

"Will you make me a cup of tea?"

“Will you make me a cup?   My leg’s aching today,” she whines, but Debbie cheerfully reminds her that there is no milk.

Iori returns with provisions

Iori returns with milk, more magazines, white chocolate – and more yoghurts for Debbie.  

"We can watch a black and white film"

Brenda suggests that they have an afternoon in front of the television;  “A black and white film – or a musical.”

Then there is a knock at the door, and Debbie goes to answer it;  

"Are you all right, Mam?"

Gerwyn has come to speak to his mother, who says that she is being treated like a queen;     Iori remarks that he has not had so much fun in ages.

"Jaclyn and I have split up"

Gerwyn would like a private word with his mother, which she says sounds serious.   “Right, I don’t want you to make a fuss, OK?   I wanted to let you know before someone else tells you – Jaclyn and I have split up – we fell out, and I had just had enough.   I’m staying at Maes-y-Deri until I can find somewhere tidy to live.”

"I can't be with her any more, Mam!"

Brenda is eager to go over and have a word with Jaclyn, but Gerwyn insists, “I can’t be with her any more, Mam!”   She wonders how he will cope without Jac, and urges him to go back, arguing that he will not find anyone better.   

"I'm not here to discuss it, Mam"

He makes it clear that he has not come here to discuss it, but just wanted his mother to know.

"Do you think you could have a look at the curtains?"

She comments that the curtains are not closing properly, and asks him to have a look at them.

"How are you, Jaclyn?"

Sara arrives at number 10 to see how Jaclyn is;  she initially maintains that she is fine, 

"Dylan told me not to come"

and Sara reveals that she has heard about the two of them from Kath Jones.   “I hope you don’t mind me calling, although Dylan told me not to.   Don’t worry about what other people say – I had an affair myself, didn’t I?   I’m not proud of myself for going behind Jason’s back, but it was easier to do that at the time, than admit to him that the marriage was over.   

"Jason and I were together for years – like you and Ger"

“Jason and I were together for years – like you and Ger – but when it’s over it’s over, isn’t it?”

"Are you still seeing this other bloke?"

All this time Jaclyn has been growing increasingly emotional, as Sara goes on, “Are you still seeing this other bloke?” and she replies that she is not.   

"There's nothing to stop you being friends"

“Remember, life goes on after a marriage breaks up – there is nothing stopping you and Gerwyn from being friends.   Look at Jason and me – we’ve both moved on – he’s started seeing Kelly now.”

"I don't want him to see anyone else"

Jaclyn is becoming hysterical as she insists that she does not want Ger to see anyone else, and when Sara asks if she should phone for an ambulance, is told, 

"Please go and find Ger!"

“Phone Ger, please!   Please go and find Ger!”

Jaclyn weeps uncontrollably

Sara hurries off to fetch him, while Jaclyn weeps uncontrollably.

Gerwyn is working in the garage

He is at work in the garage 

His ring falls to the floor

and accidentally drops his wedding ring on the floor;  as he puts it into his pocket, 

"She's ill – she's having a panic attack!"

Sara rushes in.   “Gerwyn, Jaclyn wants you!” she exclaims, but he says that he is busy.   “No, you don’t understand – she’s ill – she’s having a panic attack – come on!”

Tyler must have lost count by now

In the Deri, Tyler is again scrolling through the Volcano app, looking for his next ‘date’, 

"Leave that app alone, will you?"

and is told by Mark, “Leave that app alone, will you?   You do remember that Greta is coming over tonight?”

"Isn't anyone serving here?"

Debbie comes in;  “Isn’t anyone serving here, then?” she enquires, and Mark points out that Tyler is too busy looking for ‘dates’;  he explains that is how people date these days.   

"You should try that, Mark"

She advises Mark to try it, but he is not interested.

"Brenda and Iori are driving me mad!"

She thinks she deserves a drink;  “Brenda and Iori are driving me mad – they’re so noisy – laughing and singing around the place – and they eat all my food!   
“I heard that Jim has been generous to your mother – what’s she going to do with those fields?”

"I can't see Mam taking up farming!"

Mark doubts if she will take up farming, but Debbie reckons that there is money in land.   

"Did you have any contact apart from Jessie?"

Then Gwyneth comes in and demands, “Did you have any other contact apart from Jessie?” 

Mark makes himself scarce

and Mark is quick to walk away as he wants nothing to do with this.   

"I'm skint, and I called to see Jaclyn earlier"

Gwyneth continues, “I’m skint!   I called to see Jaclyn earlier – she was acting as if butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth!”

"Jaclyn's not dealing"

Debbie assures her that Jaclyn is not dealing, and anyway, Gwyneth cannot go round hassling dealers.     “I know, but I’m desperate!” Gwyneth snarls, as her phone sounds, and Debbie urges her to be careful.   

It appears to be good news for Gwyneth 

Gwyneth looks at her phone and smiles.

"Breathe slowly, OK, Jac?"

As Gerwyn encourages Jaclyn to breathe slowly and regularly, and Sara brings them cups of tea, Jaclyn is slowly regaining her composure.   

"Phone me if you need anything"

Sara will leave now, and tells them to phone if they need anything.

"I think you had a panic attack"

“Do you feel that your breathing is more normal now?” Gerwyn asks, “I think you had a panic attack.”   

"You've taken off your ring"

She notices that he has taken off his ring, and he explains that it came off at work.   

He is going to return to the garage . . .

She thinks that she is all right now, so he is about to leave her.

. . . but she begs him to stay

“Please don’t go!” she begs him, “I’m not all right – 

"I haven't been all right for months!"

“I haven’t been all right for months – not since Dyl dragged me into this mess and destroyed our family.   “I just want to chat with you – can you do that for me, please?”

Iori is setting up a game of Welsh Monopoly

Iori informs Debbie that they are going to start a game of Monopoly;  

"I want to cheer Brenda up after the shock she had"

“I want to cheer Brenda up after the shock she had earlier,” he says, 

Brenda does not want to play

but Brenda does not want to play, after what has happened to Ger and Jac.   He goes on trying to persuade her, 

"You can be the dog, Debbie"

but when Brenda decides that Debbie can be the ‘dog’, she walks out.

"I should have phoned the police when I landed in that 'safe house'"

“I know that I should have phoned the police the second I landed in that ‘safe house’,” Jaclyn confesses, “But I didn’t want Dylan to go to prison.”   
Gerwyn wonders why she hid everything from him, reminding her that they have always been honest with each other.   “I just didn’t want you to be part of it,” she replies.

"Your brother has made sure we are all part of it, hasn't he?"

“Your brother has made sure we are all part of it now, hasn’t he?” groans Gerwyn, “I told you he was trouble, didn’t I?” but Jaclyn does not want Dylan to come between them.   

"Gwyneth has been hassling me for more drugs!"

She says that the last few months have been hell;  “On top of everything, Gwyneth has been calling here, hassling me for more drugs.   She thinks that I’m the boss – I’ve been so stupid, haven’t I, trying to help my brother?   I should have listened to you, and not trusted him.” 

"You decided to lie to me, Jacs"

Gerwyn points out that she cannot blame Dylan for all of this;  “You decided to lie to me.”   

"I don't know how I ended up like this"

She does not know how she ended up like this;  she has always try to live a decent and honest life, and never thought she would be capable of doing what she did.

“I can still see her face – Bethan – I’m scared of what Dylan will do next – I’m scared about who else knows what I’ve done!” she groans, I’m scared of losing you and the children – Ger, I can’t live without you!”

Gerwyn hugs Jaclyn

He takes her in his arms to comfort her, 

He takes the ring from his pocket

then finds the ring in his pocket, and replaces it on his finger;  

"You see, I can't live without you, either"

“You see, I can’t live without you, either,” he tells her.

"Cardiff Bay – you owe me £500!"

Debbie, who has agreed to play, returns to the Monopoly game after fetching herself a drink, and sees that Brenda has landed on Cardiff Bay, insisting, “You owe me £500, please!”

Brenda is now skint

Brenda maintains that she is too late, as they have moved on, but finally hands over the last of her money;  

Iori gives her some of his money

Iori slips her some of his, and protests that they always used to lend money to each other in the old days.   

"That's not in the instructions"

Debbie points out that it is not in the instructions, and Brenda has had enough;  she is going for a lie down.   

"I'll bring you a hot chocolate"

Iori says that he will bring her a hot chocolate.

"Perhaps you should get her a little bell as well"

“Perhaps you should get her little bell as well,” Debbie suggests, “So she can call you any time she wants!   “You should throw her out – she’s only taking advantage.”   Iori insists he will not do that, as she is a guest and he enjoys her company.   

"She's a freeloader!"

Debbie is of the opinion that she is a freeloader, but Iori points out to her, “She’s a friend, right?   

"You know where the door is!"

“It’s up to you to make the effort to get on with her – or you know where the door is!”

Gwyneth arrives at the predetermined place . . .

In the darkness, Gwyneth can be seen, 

. . . and makes sure it is safe . . .

carefully looking all around, 

. . . but she is under surveillance

but what she does not see is someone in a car with a police radio.   She judges that the coast is clear.

"Tyler's still not home, Mark"

At Maes-y-Deri, Mark arrives to be told that Tyler still has not come back;   

"You should sell or rent those fields back to Penrhewl"

he has been thinking that his mother should sell or rent those two fields  back to Penrhewl.

His mother does not consider that a good idea

“I’m not sure about that – it might be tidy money, but I don’t want to rub salt into the wound,” she replies, “Eileen’s angry enough that Jim left them to me in the first place – I don’t want to upset her more by asking her to pay for them.”

"You can't sit and do nothing with them"

Mark emphasises that she cannot sit and do nothing with them, and then Tyler comes in through the front door.   

Tyler appears to have had some aggro

“Are you all right?” Mark asks him, “Have you been in a fight?” and is told that the bloke Tyler was meeting became angry when he said he had to go.

"You have to stop this dating nonsense!"

Kath angrily instructs him, “You have to stop this dating nonsense, and focus more on that little girl!”   He replies that he has learned his lesson, and will go to up to see her now.   

"Don't go up there – she's asleep"

Kath urges him to leave her, as she is sleeping.   “Does he realise how lucky he is?” she demands.   

Gwyneth heads towards that old fridge van . . .

In the darkness, surrounded by what appear to be abandoned vehicles, Gwyneth makes her way towards an old refrigerated van, and still keeping a careful watch, 

. . . feels around the engine compartment . . .

reaches into the engine compartment, retrieving a package, 

. . . and puts a package into her jacket

which she stuffs into her jacket.

Then her troubles start

There is the sound of approaching footsteps, and she turns to see police officers;  

Police are closing in from that direction, too

she runs in the opposite direction, but there are more police and the sounds of approaching sirens.

"Gwyneth Jones, I am arresting you . . ."

DI Davies notifies her, “Gwyneth Jones, I’m arresting you on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply – 

". . . and on suspicion of the murder of Bethan Price"

“and on suspicion of the murder of Bethan Price.”

"I haven't killed anyone!"

As she recites the caution, Gwyneth loudly protests, “I haven’t killed anyone!   Listen to me – I haven’t killed anyone!”   

She is taken to the police car . . .

She is escorted to the waiting police car 

. . . and driven away

and driven away.
